Shri Venkateshwara University extended a warm welcome to Group Chairman Dr. Sudhir Giri upon his return from the Ram Temple Inauguration ceremony. 

Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute organized a Sacred Tilak Ceremony to welcome back the Group Chairman, Dr. Sudhir Giri, who was a distinguished guest at the Ram Temple Inauguration ceremony.

The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, returned home with the auspicious Prasad & holy Raj of Ramlala that was distributed among the Venkateshwara Group employees.

The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, Chief Advisor Dr VPS Arora, CEO Mr. Ajay Shrivastava & the VC Dr Rakesh Yadav inaugurated the Sacred Tilak Ceremony & Prasad distribution by offering flowers & sweets to the portrait of Lord Rama.

Dr. Rajeev Tyagi, the Pro Chancellor and official representative of Group Chairman Dr. Sudhir Giri, shared that Dr. Giri had the privilege of meeting Mr. Nitish Bhardwaj, known for his portrayal of Lord Krishna in Mahabharata, and Arun Govil, renowned for his portrayal of Lord Rama in Ramayana.

Dr Sudhir Giri was among the select few to be blessed by Jagat Guru Rambhadracharya, Acharya Balkrishan, Swami Ramdev, & the Treasurer of Ramlala Trust Maharaj Govind Giri Ji.

Apart from them, he also received blessings from renowned saints and priests who graced the Ram Temple site.

The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, announced it is one of the most ecstatic moments of my life to be invited for the Ram Temple inauguration ceremony.

Shri Venkateshwara University hosted a 2-day summit on NEP 2020 Striving for transformative education.

Notable attendees included VCs of central and state universities, scientists, and corporate dignitaries.

All advocated that by implementing NEP 2020 successfully, India will once again become a world leader.

The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, President Association of Indian Universities (AIU) & the CG Prof. DS Chauhan, Chief Advisor Prof. VPS Arora & the Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi inaugurated the NEP 2020 Striving for Transformative education summit by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.

Former VC UPTU Prof RK Khandal, VC of Tezpur Central University Prof VK Jain, Amazon’s Regional Head for South Asia Mr. Lokesh Mehra, and the VC of Uttarakhand Open University Prof OP Negi were present to inaugurate the education summit.

The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated the NEP 2020 is historic & revolutionary, it will pave the way for a new India as envisioned by Swami Vivekananda.

Prof DS Chauhan, an esteemed former VC of many universities, believes the NEP 2020 will make India a world leader through its focus on research, nationalism, and women's empowerment.

Prof. RK Khandal believes that the NEP 2020 provides great opportunities. However, he emphasizes the need for a joint effort to ensure its effective implementation and maximize the benefits for the end user.

Mr. Lokesh Mehra from Amazon stated the NEP will connect the corporate and academic worlds. It will also create abundant opportunities for skilled youth in India and abroad.

I have seen auditions of others for the role in The Myth, they now lie about them. Mallika Sherawat

Mallika Sherawat will soon be seen on the silver screen as she is now promoting her upcoming film RK/Rkay. During a recent interview, Mallika spilled the beans on her journey in Bollywood and her break to work in an international film with Jackie Chan's Chinese Film the Myth in 2005. She also revealed that while working with Jackie, she saw the tapes of other actors from Bollywood who had auditioned for the role.

Mahesh Bhatt’s film Murder gave Mallika the fame and name she enjoyed for quite some time. Later, she was seen against Jackie Chan in her international debut movie The Myth.

Talking about the time she went for the auditions for The Myth, Mallika said, “I got the role via audition and I am very proud to say that he auditioned every actress in Bollywood. So, all these actresses jo chui mui bann ke kehti hain ‘hum toh kabhi audition nahi karti' woh sab jhooth bol rahi hain (So all these female actors who claim that they never went for the audition are lying). I have seen their auditions. Jackie showed me their audition tapes. They loved me. They loved my fitness because I do a lot of yoga. I have a flexible body."

Mallika also talked about Jackie Chan and said that he is a wonderful person.  “He is a great guy. Very wonderful, helpful. He opened doors for me in Hollywood. He supported me. When I got Myth, I decided to do all the action for the film but that was the worst decision of my life.”

Mallika is now busy promoting her upcoming film RK/RKay, which also stars Rajat Kapoor, Kubbra Sait, Ranvir Shorey, Manu Rishi Chadha, Chandrachoor Rai, Abhijeet Deshpande, Abhishek Sharrma, Grace Girdhar, and Vaishali Malhara in important roles.

Iconic Awards 2017-A mesmerizing Spectacle of Glitz & Glamour at The Umrao

Entrepreneur Shalu Jain, Founder and Director of Tia Jewels hosted the first edition of the spectacular “Iconic Awards 2017” event at The Umrao, NH-8 on 16th December, 2017.

17 icons from diverse fields were honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award while 50 women achievers were felicitated with the coveted “Iconic Award 2017” at a glittering awards ceremony.

Among the distinguished personalities who graced the event were Chief Guest Shahnaz Husain, MP Amar Singh, Bollywood actress Shamita Shetty and Tarot Queen Seema Midha.

Notable among those honoured at the event were renowned microsurgeon Dr Anuj, Poonam Saini, Bhawna, journalists Sushil Vakil, Bipin Sharma, Neetu Singhal, Sunita Vakil and Neha Kala; Manya Aman, Dr Shilpi Singh, Minty Chhabraa, Dr Anjana Bakshi, Shelkka Sharma, Dr Varun Katyal to name a few.

Shahnaz Husain, the Chief Guest of the event got a standing ovation when the anchor of the show Kanya Krishnani conveyed how she had done the entire country proud by becoming a Subject at the world’s premiere Harvard Business School.

A dazzling fashion show was presented by the Awardees ensued by a scintillating Dance Performance by leading Dance troupe, Dance Smith. Kanya Krishnani as the anchor and Preeti Oberoi Tanwar as the co-anchor of the show were simply brilliant. The Makeovers were done by House of Beauty-Sahil Malhotra, and the Event associates were DM Events. The Decor Partners were Ritika Sahni Girdhar from Pom Pom.

Mr. Sanjay Singh Gangwar, the UP Cabinet Minister for Sugarcane & Sugar, and Dr. Sumedha Didi, the Chief Administrator of Gurukul College, honored Dr. Sudhir Giri.

They gifted him a replica of the Ram Temple and extended a formal invitation for him to attend the Ram Temple inauguration ceremony.

The Cabinet Minister Mr Sanjay Singh Gangwar, Dr Sumedha Didi, Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri & the Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati & offering flowers to Lord Rama.

The Chief Advisor Dr VPS Arora, & the BJYM President Mr. Shubham Chaudhary joined them to unveil the Ramayana recitation & felicitation ceremony.

The students of Gurukul College presented excellent cultural programmes dedicated to Lord Rama that made the event memorable.

This is because of noble deeds in my previous births, the blessings of my parents and the grace of Lord Ram.

This is not just a personal invitation, but the combined devotion of the Ram devotees of the Meerut & Moradabad division. I dedicate this invitation to these devotees.

Shri Venkateshwara University laid the foundation stone of the Venkateshwara Setu (Foot over bridge).

Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute laid the foundation stone of the Venkateshwara Setu (Foot over bridge) connecting the main entrance of the campus to the other side of the NH9.

With the grace of Lord Venkateshwara and the approval of the Road Transport and Highways Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari Ji, the Venkateshwara Setu will be functional from March 2024.

The Group Chairman, Dr. Sudhir Giri, the Pro Chancellor, Dr. Rajiv Tyagi, the GM NH -9, Mr. Lalit Tiwari, the CEO, Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, and the NHAI Contractor, Mr. DS Vashist, performed Pooja and cracked a coconut to lay the foundation stone at 1.30 PM.

The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, reiterated the Venkateshwara Setu will not only provide a safe passage to cross the highway but will also curb many road accidents.  

The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi announced the Venkateshwara Setu will be operational in the first week of March 2024 & help the public & University employees cross the highway safely.

Mr. Lalit Tiwari, General Manager NH-9 informed, the foot over bridge will be constructed with an investment of Rs 2 Cr & will provide a safe passage to cross the highway.

He further added the Venkateshwara Setu will be safest & the best of all the foot over bridges erected till date.

In celebration of World Heart Day, Shri Venkateshwara University and VIMS multispecialty hospital organized a seminar on the importance of balanced life in maintaining cardiac health.

Over a dozen renowned cardiologists from all over the country took part in the seminar.

The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor, Dr Rajiv Tyagi, Chief Medical Superintendent, Dr IB Raju, & the Dean Academics Dr Sanjiv Bhatt inaugurated the seminar by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.

The Chief Speaker & renowned Cardiologist Dr VK Saxena, & Dr Ana Brown joined them to inaugurate the seminar on the role of balanced life in Cardiac Health.

The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, reiterated the heart is the most important organ of the body. Hence it’s our responsibility to keep it healthy through regular exercise/Yoga, balanced diet, & by not smoking.

Dr. Jaggi, a well-known cardiologist, confirmed that unhealthy habits like smoking, drinking, poor diet, stress, diabetes, hypertension, and pollution cause heart attacks. Through a disciplined lifestyle & balanced diet, we can keep our hearts healthy for a long time.

Dr. VK Saxena, a Senior Cardiologist at VIMS & Primus Delhi believes that a balanced and healthy lifestyle can help prevent heart attacks.

Senior Physician Dr I B Raju opined through balanced diet, Yoga & meditation we can keep our hearts healthy.

The Academic Dean, Dr. Sanjiv Bhatt, was of the opinion that we should get our heart checked at regular intervals.

Renowned Physician Dr Manik Tyagi asserted in today’s stressful life we can keep our heart healthy through Yoga & meditation. Yoga & meditation helps us to distress and keeps the heart beats normal.

After the seminar, the Doctors carried out an awareness rally to educate people about a healthy heart. They stressed the importance of a disciplined lifestyle to keep the heart healthy.

The MBBS & Nursing students made colorful Rangoli & Posters to highlight the importance of a healthy heart. Later, the college management honored the winners by giving them certificates & a memento.

We honored esteemed cardiologists, Dr. GL Jaggi and Dr. VK Saxena, along with other physicians, by presenting them with shawls and a memento as a token of appreciation for their exceptional medical service.  

The Chief Advisor, Dr. VPS Arora, CEO Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, Hospital Manager Mr. M.A. Chaudhary, Deputy Medical Officer Dr. Manik Tyagi, Dr. Ikram Elahi, and Dr. Shahid Mir were present.
