So Graspop is a metal festival on paper, which is not usually my go to, but there's also a bunch of rock and some other genres. First confirmed name was tool, which i have been a sucker for since I was 17 when they completely blew me away with their live performance

my watch list so far includes:

POWERWOLF Releases Cinematic Music Video For '1589' Single From 'Wake Up The Wicked' Album

POWERWOLF has released the long-awaited first single from its upcoming studio album, "Wake Up The Wicked", due out July 26, 2024 via Napalm Records. "1589" tells the story of Peter Stump, who lived near Cologne, Germany in the 16th century and is known today as the Werewolf Of Bedburg. After being defamed as a werewolf, the farmer confessed to several murders under torture and was cruelly executed on October 31, 1589. This morbid story has fascinated people all over the world ever since and has been picked up by National Geographic, among others.

For the video for "1589", POWERWOLF traveled to England to stage Stump's fate in the dark woods in a cinematic way. With carefully selected locations, countless actors and crew members, and impressive special effects, it marks the most elaborate music video production in the band's history to date — and thus offers a worthy first taste of what fans can expect with "Wake Up The Wicked".

"Wake Up The Wicked" — the highly anticipated follow-up to the extremely successful "Call Of The Wild" (2021) — will arrive just in time for the award-winning band's first-ever full North American tour, starting in August 2024, followed by their biggest European headline tour to date, the "Wolfsnächte 2024".

BRUCE DICKINSON anuncia edición limitada de "RESURRECTION MEN"

Bruce Dickinson anuncia el lanzamiento en CD-Digipack de edición limitada de su nuevo single “Resurrection Men”, más dos canciones en directo, que se publicará el 26 de Julio a través de BMG

"La guitarra de surf en la introducción, la parte de Dick Dale, ¡ese soy yo!" explica Dickinson sobre “Resurrection Men”, inmerso en este momento, en medio de su aclamada primera gira en solitario en dos décadas.

Este nuevo CD, que contiene tres canciones (“Resurrection Men” más dos temas grabados en vivo) es un digipack desplegable e incluye en formato limitado, 'Dos Posters Cine' (375 mm x 285 mm) a doble cara que se pueden ya reservar únicamente a través de la tienda oficial de Mandrake Project (www.themandrakeproject.com), con el arte del cómic para el Episodio 3 que se lanzará a través de Z2 Comics el 17 de Julio.

Las dos canciones extra del CD, “Afterglow Of Ragnarok” y “Abduction”, se grabaron en vivo en el show de Bruce Dickinson en Sao Paulo, Brasil, hace unas pocas semanas (el 4 de Mayo de 2024), dentro de la actual gira mundial de Bruce Dickinson con su nueva banda en el ‘The Mandrake Project Tour’.

“Estábamos jugando con el ajuste del trémolo, colocamos los acordes y dije: ¡Ok, eso es genial!  Fue como, '¿Qué pasaría si Quentin Tarantino grabara Metal?' La hicimos un poco más Heavy e hicimos toda la parte central y fue como, '¿Nos estamos mimetizando con Geezer Butler en otra vida?'
