TIPS

Be Prepared! Have your Pitch ready! Know what the meeting is about!

Get Personal! How has a policy impacted you? How could it potentially impact you or others you know?

Paint the Bigger Picture! What is the wider impact of this policy? If you have the statistics to back you up, cite them!

Enlist Allies! Have others join you in the meeting to emphasize you’re not alone in having these thoughts!

Be Respectful! Passion is your ally, but remember your aim is also to build or strengthen relationships to support future dialogues with policymakers!

NETWORKING BASICS

Talk to the Staff! This is an opportunity to build a relationship with someone who has the Senator's ear!

Leave Paper! Have your business card or pamphlets with the talking points listed out, and leave copies with others!

Follow up Politely! After the meeting, send an email or call to thank them for their time!

Be Persistent! Keep showing up!

Reverse 1999 will be releasing next week so I want to go and put a list of characters I WILL be trying to get my hands on when the game comes out. Set Home: I'm heard there's magic on the breeze.

Home Transition 1: This wind is really strong! It could blow me away!

Home Transition 2: I wish Riv could have been able to join us. They would have had a blast.

Home Transition 3: So many people came out to play and fly kites! The hillside is jam packed!

Home, after Login: I see some clouds off on the horizon. It would be a real bummer if we got hit with a storm.

Tap Home 1: It was incredibly kind of Al to invite us here. I hope he's having as much fun as I am.

Tap Home 2: Those two gals with the parasols have the right idea. The sun is almost glaring down on us today.

Tap Home 3: AH! That canon startled me!! What are they doing blasting actual canons in the middle of a city!?

Tap Home 4: Hopefully, I'll have time to go check out the other side of the island. I heard that there's a great diversity of merfolk hunkered down there, and I'd love to check out their ways of life - without being disruptive or weird, of course! Maybe they even speak a similar language to the ones near the shore at home.

Tap Home 5: That spade student nearly lost his kite. It'd be a shame if he did. I hope he can keep a firm grip on the string.

I tried to challenge myself with this card. I wanted to go for an action shot that created some really dynamic lighting, and I think I actually pulled it off pretty well!

I don't have any design rough drafts to share this time around. Admittedly I actually designed this card on the spot as I was sketching, which isn't what I normally do. But it felt most appropriate to follow the lines of movement rather than create a pose based around a fit this time around.

OMG, She's perfect!

Seriously, even on vacation, supposedly on your Downtime, you make consistently mind-boggling artwork.

Love the detail of her pendant being a neckerchief (an ascot, also called a cravat, is traditionally worn by British gentlemen and open-cockpit aviators, yes I just know this), it really fits in with her style as a tomboy and makes her seem more of her own person.

And the pendant is perfect, but if you need to, simplify it. Thanks a ton!

Again! Again!

We've seen a few of the boys, but what about our favourite girls? Well, next up is the chillest yellow bun

Dandydoe!

Easily the coolest of the shifted critters, Dandydoe is up for anything, especially to maintain her image as the 'cool gal' of the crew. Going mountain biking? Baking scones? Knife throwing? Dandy will happily say 'YES!' to any most of them! She especially enjoys physical activity and sports and her favourites are rugby and ice hockey. The team captain has called her the most graceful viking barbarian born in a century.

She is also probably the most accident prone. Her feet have a mind of their own and her ideas are often more than just a bit dangerous! Like the time she suggested a 'how-much-Kool-aid-can-I-drink-in-an-hour?' contest. Her body just seems indestructible and her confidence unshaken. Even if it's after having her stomach pumped, the yellow cottontail is ready to get up and say 'I didn't hear no bell!'

Callum: So much Kool aid...

Nobody in her friend group knows why she does the things she does, and it's unlikely she'll ever tell. But in truth, it's because she's scared. At home, Dandy has three older and two younger siblings, as well as an army of cousins. Middle child syndrome hit her like a crashing Tupolev tu-22. She feels compelled to do everything she can to maintain her image, because she fears she isn't good enough compared to her siblings who have already graduated college and gotten jobs, or her cousins who can recite the periodic table backwards. Because of this, her life is usually lived goal to goal, trying to find something to make her worthy. Her friends think she's enough, her parents think she's enough, her brothers and sisters think she's enough, it's just her who thinks she isn't :'(.

Anyway, some fun facts!

She once tried to pull a prank on a certain green critter but got Callum instead. Long story short, Callum eventually forgave her after an apology, a promise it will never happen again and a large bag of fudge.

Her biggest secret is that she is a murder mystery nut and can usually deduce who the killer is before the detective. This was the theme of her last birthday party once the others found out, and she screamed like a boyband-obsessed ten year old when she found out.

Finally, she once owned a dwarf hamster as a pet but swapped him with a random kid for a new bicycle. Her mother found out and told her to go and get her hamster back. She returned an hour later with no bicycle, having traded it for a someone's dad's crossbow and a full-when-she-got-it-now-half-full quiver of bolts, rather than for the hamster. She was grounded for three whole weekends afterwards.

Her scent is aloe vera and her pendant is an arrow flying towards a yellow star painted like a target.

Fuuck whoever made the book 6 gauntlet by the way. It pretty much forces you to roll the gacha because these are all the SSR and SR cards I have

Do you see the very obvious lack of flora? Better yet, the very obvious lack of ROOK?

Thank goodness Ruggie's birthday is coming up because I'm planning to roll on that banner so I'll have at least one more SSR I can pump resources into (although I might have to reset the teams depending on who I get and that's just... ugh) and might get a rook SR.

I make a point to groovy all my SRs and raise them to spell lvl 3 but that's kind of the limit I'm willing to go unless it's needed for a boss battle. All my recovery skills are pumped to lv 5 for better hp management and if you think I'm stingy on honey, I'm really stingy on spell books. I'd really prefer not to spend resources on R-cards...

Progress so far:

Both my SSRs are on this team because it's the fire branch and they forced me to being Riddle and I have exactly one (1) Riddle card. Deuce being water and void was just a no-brainer pick. At least they both have access to their duos.

The fights haven't been too hard so far but when your enemy has evasion or blind that makes you hit two out of five attacks when you're already not hitting for weakness because it's a fire-water enemy instead of just fire that just makes a gal a liiitle ticked off ya kno?
