We have entered the depths of potty training in my house. Day two of hell week is coming to a close as the children are in their beds, with much objection on their end, for bed time. My oldest is turning three in a couple weeks so this potty training is going as well as expected…. The amount of pee that I have cleaned up between yesterday and today has given me nursing home flash backs. This journey is not for the weak. He seems to be catching on somewhat so hopefully this chapter will come to a close quickly.

A funny highlight of my day;

He was laying on his play couch on the floor and said uh oh, then just the sound of running water. I look and it’s just a perfect arch of pee, honestly reminded me of the statue of the little boy peeing in a fountain, and him just looking blankly. I’m horrified but trying to remain calm and ask him to do please finish on the potty!

I often hear her small voice ask me politely, “Can you help me?”. She needs a tissue for her nose, she needs to charge her iPad or she needs some water to drink. 💕 But lately it’s become more “I want to do it myself.” She’s getting so independent. I expected it, but still I don’t feel ready! Being independent equals to picking her own clothing choices, making many many decisions in her day, shall we walk or scoot, strawberries or pears, and holding her own when it comes to taking her turn with the TV. 😂 Today, she went to the toilet, and she put on her own PJs, including her pull-ups too. Her needs are to feel safe to decide and be in control, and being able to do it herself is really important to her, to all our kids.
