I have completed my little inbox trick or treating doodle! I have obtained a fiddler crab and sticky slappy hand from my good friend @horseyneigh2002 !

From @fishyfishyfishtimes I got some fishy gummies, and I added the little octopus who accompanied me in the ask.

And in an interesting turn of events I have now obtained a sea slug of my own in the form of a leaf sheep from @plaguedocboi !

Dear Lily,

How’s the holiday? I know you said I couldn’t apparate there because of Petunia and everything, but I wish— I dunno, that maybe I could crash it anyway. Sirius is driving me mad with motorbike stuff so I could go for a beach escape, maybe charm some water balloons to follow Vernon around. I know, I know, that’s against the rules and he doesn’t know about magic yet but that’s what disillusionment charms are for.

Not much is new with me although you know that already. My last letter was only yesterday, after all. Still miss you. Still sort of bumming around the house, depressed I can’t see my new girlfriend in her swimsuit. Still helping mum in her garden and all that. Still trying to convince Sirius to let you borrow his mirror. Peter might stop by soon though so at least I’ll have a new audience for my nonsense.

Um. Hey. Do you remember a while back, when Dumbledore asked us our intentions as seventh years? What we learned in Hogwarts, its best values, all that? I thought for sure I fucked it all up by saying I didn’t want it. And honestly maybe it’s for the best, the cabinet in Filch’s office is proof of why I shouldn’t be Head Boy.

Head students are supposed to represent every student, they’re supposed to be the model of behavior and unless Dumbles wants everyone in the school to break every school rule in existence, run around at all hours of the night— among other activities that shall not be named for legal reasons— I’m not the guy for it. I’m completely the wrong guy for it.

But all that other shit— honor, loyalty, defending those who need it. I can do that, I believe in that sentimental stuff. I wouldn’t be writing to you if I didn’t. You and the guys, everyone in our House, the whole gang. Don’t tell anyone I said this, Evans, but you all mean everything to me.

That’s where I think I bungled up my meeting with Dumbledore. All of you are important to me, I’d do anything to protect you, but it’s you that I—

That is, you’re best thing about Hogwarts. You’re all that’s good about magic and this dumb school and all the values they teach us. You make me want to be— I told Dumbledore I wouldn’t want Head Boy unless it’s with you. Does that make me a selfish prat? It kinda feels that way…

Anyway, this is all to say, you better be Head Girl because Dumbledore actually fucking did it— he made me Head Boy. Got the letter about an hour ago. I can’t do this without you. I don’t want to do this without you. I’m starting to look forward to snogging you in dark corridors during rounds. But wait, seriously, I am. Looking forward to being at your side.
