a low-stakes list of things i wanna do in the new year:

do more traditional art (particularly stamp carving, junk journaling/collaging, and multimedia stuff)

go to a monster truck rally

finish coding the design system for my website and update it with everything i’ve been writing lately

attend a new art class at least once (i discovered a lot of places to do so this year but never got around to it)

eat at new restaurants, find new faves to take friends when they visit

take more mini-vacations (i.e. make the drive to carrollton and spend the day there shopping and eating good food)

read more!! i read 5 books this year, which is astounding considering i haven’t read recreationally since high school, so i wanna read at least one more book this year!

stretch more, like actually genuinely do it, make it a habit and keep at it to make your life easier and less miserable lmao

i have another surgery planned for next year (same thing, just the other foot) so i don’t want to strive for anything too terribly ambitious lol i think for me 2025 is the year of investing in myself and my health and is going to be devoted to learning patience and being gracious while i’m healing

Thanks, and yes it does suck lol. she was with me from 3 months after I graduated high school until a few weeks before I turned 33 😵‍💫 it feels like I've been so many different people throughout that time, but she was always the same.
