Chocolate strawberries for Machina!

[ chocolate strawberries ]  to gift my muse chocolate covered strawberries.

The raven-haired was in his usual spot, staring at the far distance when he heard the sigil sound for someone coming in. He didn’t bother to look because it was a place for everyone to be but after a couple of seconds, he could recognize the person’s footsteps. Deuce had a unique sound when she walks. She was neither slow, nor fast, nor light, or loud in her walking, like…a swan! Yes, a gentle swan moving so effortlessly. Was he a creep? That he could figure out it was her without looking? Perhaps, but he will pride himself on looking into these…trivial details if one would call it if it means he can understand his lover better.   

A smile was already gracing his features when she walked beside him. He looked at her, “Hey. Mhm, I finished my training early and came here. Yep. All good. You? I thought you had something to do with Cinque and Sice, no? Oh, already finished? …That’s..um..good. Heh, it means we can talk more, right?” Deuce nodded in response and asked him to sit on the bench with her because she had brought something–well, made it, to be precise.

“Made…it?” he blinked and all curiosity painted his features which made him hover like a cat who wants its food at what Deuce was unwrapping. It made her giggle and ask him to wait a moment but he liked teasing her a little bit before he properly sat back. “I’m excited!” he was like a child on a holiday evening. 

Once she opened the box, it contained ..chocolate. Chocolates that look like strawberries? “Oooh you mean these ARE strawberries!” he likes sweet things. “Wait, you mean you were away to make these?” he was surprised in a good way. So, she said she was with Cinque to make these? Machina’s gaze lingered for a bit on the chocolate strawberries for a while before he looked back at Deuce. “You made these…for me? I…thank you…” 

As much excited he was, Machina’s demeanor changed to a timid one. He does not understand what happened but the emotions are swirling inside his chest. It’s strange. Someone would take out of their time to make something for him…Deuce made these for him. It’s honestly all new to him. They have been seeing each other for a while but each time he is reminded that she is here for him, not for something else. She is serious about this and it makes his heart flutter. 

Ah, he might have worried her after all the fuzz he made and now he has gone quiet. Machina looked back at Deuce, shifting his body to face her properly, one leg crossed over the bench, “Aaah~” he opened his mouth. “You know, this is the part where you feed me. Aaah~”
