You can use grenadine or maraschino cherry syrup to get the "bloody" effect...or make your own fresh syrup!
🍒Cherry Syrup:
1 cup pitted cherries (fresh or frozen), 1 cup water, ½ cup sugar, 1 tsp lemon juice
Cook cherries, water, and sugar for 15 minutes over medium heat. Strain and let cool, then stir in lemon juice. Store in refrigerator

Drinks of Doom: Sour Apple Witch’s Brew 🧹
Tumblr media
Content warning: this Drink of Doom is one of the two that contains alcohol - please enjoy responsibly if you drink.
This green apple witch’s brew is sure to put a spell on you.
Closely resembling my Battery Acid cocktail, this is my take on an appletini done with apple juice, fresh lemon juice and citrus vodka, plus a dash of sour apple martini mix (or really, sour apple candy-flavored simple syrup). But if that doesn’t turn it green enough, one drop each of yellow and green food coloring makes this look even more like a classic green potion.
Your cauldron is a cocktail shaker, and your equipment is a kitchen knife, a jigger for measuring your liquid spell ingredients, and a lemon juicer.
Spell ingredients:
3 oz apple juice
1.5 oz lemon juice
1 oz Finest Call Sour Apple Martini Mix
1 shot citrus vodka
1 drop each yellow and green food coloring
Ice
Granny Smith apple slice, for garnish
Chill a coupe glass in the freezer. Cut into a Granny Smith apple and slice thin, slicing a diagonal notch in the center for rim garnish.
Slice lemon in half and juice lemon. Pour about 1.5 oz of fresh lemon juice into your cocktail shaker.
Add the apple juice, citrus vodka, sour apple martini mix and tiny amount of food coloring. Plop in the ice and secure the lid to your cocktail shaker. Shake until very cold, about 15 seconds.
Pour into your chilled coupe glass and garnish with the apple slice.

Moody Blackberry Sangria
Tumblr media
If you’re looking for a spooky cocktail for Halloween, blackberry sangria is an excellent option.
It has a deep, rich purple hue that’s almost black, and the garnishes of blackberries and mint leaves make it look almost like a magical potion from the darkest moment of a fairytale.
It’s easy to make and will take you only a few minutes to whip up an entire pitcher.
Tumblr media
Blackberry Sangria Recipe
This easy blackberry sangria is faster and easier than the traditional recipe. Make an individual glass for yourself, or a pitcher for friends!
*  Recipes below for pitcher size and individual glass sizes
*  Pitcher size recipe serves about 7 or 8 glasses
*  Calories -  Approximately 220 per serving
Ingredients
Blackberry Sangria
40 blackberries (about 2 cups)
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup orange brandy (such as grand marnier or gala gala)
3 cups red wine
soda water or sprite
Garnish
Blackberries
Mint or lemon balm
Instructions
In a pitcher, muddle together blackberries and sugar.
Add orange brandy and red wine, then stir.
Let sit about 15 minutes to let the sugar dissolve.
Serve over ice, topped with a little soda water or sprite.
Garnish with fresh blackberries and mint.
For a single glass of blackberry sangria
Follow the instructions above using these measurements:
 5 large blackberries
1 tablespoon sugar
1 oz orange brandy
3 oz red wine
 splash of soda water
NOTES:
No need to break the bank on the wine, a red blend will do. Lean towards a medium bodied wine with plum, pomegranate or berry notes.
Make sure to let the sugar dissolve before serving the sangria. A gritty sangria is unpleasant. It should only take 10 to 15 minutes for the sugar granules to dissolve in the alcohol.

@draconxs asked: (From Draconxs for spooky drink event) - Kaido could have gone for easier drinks he'd find amusing by name alone that he felt would fit Hawkins to a tee. There were various hocus pocus or black magic cocktail recipes he could've gone with but instead he decided on a simplistic Vampire's Kiss based off the fact that the strawman vaguely reminded him of a classical vampire from some novels he took glances at in the past. If it weren't for plenty of reasons why it wasn't true, Kaido would have assumed a rumor that Hawkins drank blood might have made passes between islands up to his forceful recruitment and crushing defeat at his hands. Now was not the time to reminisce however, and so he invites Hawkins in to share the vampiric beverage on a night that was meant to be full of good, spooky fun. It would have been even more perfect if that feline mink was still around to share in the festivities... Ah, yet another minor regret to drink away.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hawkins was not exactly a party person. He could tolerate quieter social affairs, but rambunctious parties were not his forte. However, since forcibly being recruited by the Beast Pirates, he'd been forced to partake in such events more than he would have liked.
It was ironic, really. The Kid Pirates would have fit in with this crowd swimmingly, yet it was Hawkins who was stuck with this lot. He could only hope the winds of change might blow and alter his fate so that he might be free of his metaphorical shackles. Until then, he would turn to an old friend to help him get through the night - alcohol.
Yet to his surprise, the man in charge of the drink table was none other than Kaido himself. Seeing the Yonko acting as barkeep was shocking enough, but Hawkins' eyes actually widened in shock when he was invited to share a drink with him.
Vampire's Kiss. He could recognize that it was, perhaps, somewhat suitable. He was familiar with vampires, having seen depictions of them in occult shops he had frequented. He'd even read a few bodice-rippers that starred them when he'd needed to learn how to seduce a certain High Priestess. So he knew he resembled them in both clothing and perhaps behavior at times. How ironic that he came from an island that was painfully sunny.
Raising the glass, he murmured his thanks. Partially to appease the violent Yonko, and partially because he did appreciate the alcohol that might save his sanity throughout the night. Taking a sip, he would admit it was delicious. Pomegranate and cranberry with something sparkling mixed in. A good combination, and something he could easily keep drinking throughout the night. Perhaps after a few more of these, he wouldn't be tempted to spill actual blood.
"My thanks," Hawkins stated with a bow, knowing the importance of keeping Kaido from taking insult. Especially if he wanted to live through the night. "Perhaps I might be so bold as to request the recipe. I might find myself craving it again before the next party."

Castletown Café Episode 19: Butler Juice (Orange)
Tumblr media
When I started the Butler Juices in late Spring, I had planned on doing only four: green, blue, yellow, and red. I had overlooked one color: orange. As you "warmify" a Swatchling, they go from blue, to green, then yellow, orange, and finally red. So here we are, with a nice warm spiced juice that is a Halloween classic: apple cider.
While you can make it from scratch with fresh apples, using pre-made apple juice is the easier and more time-efficient route, and it's always how I make it. Indeed, I do apple cider every fall, just heat up apple juice with orange slices and a ton of whole spices for an hour or so and there you have it! This simple and easy-to-make apple cider is best served warm, but it's refreshing chilled as well.
BUTLER JUICE (ORANGE):
2 quarts apple juice
5 thin slices fresh ginger root
1 to 2 small star anise pods
1 medium sliced orange
2 cinnamon sticks
8 whole allspice berries
10 whole cloves
Wash and slice orange. Peel and cut off a thumb of ginger and slice off 5 thin rounds.
Combine juice, ginger, whole spices, and orange slices in a large pot over medium-low heat. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and keep simmering for anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour. The longer you brew your cider, the stronger the flavors of the spices will be infused.
Serve in a mug and garnish with an apple slice or cinnamon stick if you'd like. If you want to spike it and make it an adult beverage, I highly suggest spiced rum.
