Mongolian history class, 2022, start of the semester. We're having a discussion on animal slaughter, featuring the one Mongolian student in our school.

The student explains that he's slaughtered animals himself, and there are two ways of doing it that avoid the spilling of blood. For a small animal like a chicken, you reach up into the chest of the animal and sever the arteries. For a larger animal like a camel, there's a spot on the forehead that, when hit hard enough, causes the animal to die instantly.

While this discussion is going on, a couple of the students are sharing something back and forth on their phone

The professor calls this out, asking if what they're sharing is more interesting than Mongolian animal slaughter

The room is dead silent for a few seconds. The two students look at each other awkwardly.

Eventually, one of the students pipes up:

"Well, the queen of England just died."

And without missing a beat, another student:

"Did they hit her on the head like a camel?"

Happy 5th Anniversary to the film which has the lowest critics in MonsterVerse but more badass Kaiju fights: Godzilla: King of the Monsters!

I was 14 years old when I finally watch this movie and that goes my fanatic Mothzilla ship. I still couldn't move on the sacrifice of Mothra and Serizawa TBH, I was fucking crying the whole time. (Fuck you Emma Russell for being a bitch to your family, you're not a good mother, but you reformed for the sake of your jackass)

Anyway, Mothra is superbly beautiful and her designs are sleak and much more real-like moths. That was the reason why those lovely eye patterns I saw made me realized that she and Godzilla are both King and Queen and their symbiotic relationship is a harmonious aspect of why they are Alphas. I regret nothing about them.

Okay, Ghidorah here is an awesome badass kaiju and I like the canon divergence of three heads with different personalities (I have seen motion cap of the actors from behind-the-scene of the film, they're fun to act). Rodan, my spicy fire chicken, is also super cool...let's just say he got stabbed by Mothra's stinger and forcing himself to submit from Ghidorah as his beta before Godzilla in the final part yeeesh, he deserves it.

Human characters are more solely focused and why would anybody had to criticized it? Meh, it's just their opinion. I don't mind.

And now I'm watching KOTM today with my parents (I'm preparing a tissue RN).

Happy 101st Anniversary to Bertie & Elizabeth

The Duke & Duchess of York on their wedding day, April 26, 1923.

The young royals had no idea that 13 years later they would become King George VI & Queen Elizabeth.

Prince Albert's gift to Elizabeth's bridesmaids was an exquisitely carved crystal brooch of the white Rose of York with the couple's monogram (E A) and the ducal crown in diamonds. I really love how modern the style of the cypher is! Very reflective of the Deco period.

If you look carefully at the wedding portrait, you can see the bridesmaids wearing the brooch. It's a lovely small size; not too much!
