The last time Paula dropped a bomb on your life, well, no offence to your father, but you had to cope on your own. You're not on your own anymore.

Not A Book Friday

I had no idea what in the world to expect from this. Would it be like a Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries. Or would it be more like a Murder, She Wrote, or a Miss Marple sort of thing. It was like none of those, although, it definitely had parts from all of them. Plus, I mean, it had the reason why I stopped scrolling on Hoopla and decided to give it a try. Jane Seymour. (Have I recommended Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman yet? Have to check that….)
Harry Wild is a retired professor, but, soon after she retires she can’t help but try and give her son, the police detective, a bit of a hand when she sees something in a case that he doesn’t. The first season goes from there, her getting in the way, but also seeing things that he doesn’t (in that very classic Murder, She Wrote way).
There was lots of detecting in this, but, there was also a ton of character stuff. Harry Wild is most definitely not a proper Granny, and, there were some not so G rated words thrown around on occasion. But, every episode kept me guessing, and as well as the awesome primary characters, the secondary characters in each episode were lept off the screen at me. Such a fun fun show (not to mention, I do believe that it has gotten a second season, woo hoo!
