THE HAUNTED CONGRESS PLAZA HOTEL - Chicago, Illinois. The Congress Plaza Hotel (1893) on Michigan Ave. is considered to be "Chicago's Most Haunted Hotel." Consisting of 871 guest rooms, the Congress (North Tower) was built for the World Columbian Exposition and was then called The Auditorium Annex (the South Tower was completed in 1907 and the name eventually changed). Since then, the Congress has had legions of visitors, a multitude of tragedies, and a number of ghosts that have come to reside here. Many of the hotel's guests and workers have alleged ghostly experiences of all kinds: noises, voices, moving objects, electronic phenomena, poltergeist activity, orbs, spectral apparitions, and full-body encounters. The accounts are volumous, literary, and - at times - quite frightening. Chicago serial killer Dr. H. H. Holmes reportedly hunted the Lobby for victims. President Teddy Roosevelt has been seen in the Florentine Room. Gangster Al Capone's ghost has been spotted in the halls of the 8th Floor of the North Tower (perhaps visiting Jake "Greasy Thumb" Guzik). A 6 year-old "Little Immigrant Boy" (Karel Tommy Langer) haunts the 12th Floor North Tower from which he was thrown in the 30s. The Florentine Room also supposedly holds the "Whispering Lady Ghost," "Phantom Roller Skaters," and a "Lady in the Bathroom" spirit that follows women as they exit. The Ballroom is possessed by invisible musicians. "Drywall Dave" and his "Hand of Mystery" can be seen in the Gold Room balcony closet. The Most Active Ghost is the mischievous poltergeist of a one-legged murdered hobo named "Peg Leg Johnny." The Most Haunted Room is Room 441 - in the South Tower - which is reportedly inhabited by a female "Shadow Spirit" which kicks sleepers awake. There is room 666 which was sealed over. People claim encounters with "The Shadow Guy" and a "Disco Man." The tales are plentiful at the Congress - where the ghosts, perhaps, outnumber the guests. A recent visit to "Forgotten #MontroseCemetery" on #Chicago's north side. A section of the western portion of the cemetery was sold off to a developer in the '80s, however, a sliver of land between a path (formerly train tracks) and the newer homes still holds a number of graves. Are the burials still here too? Are there more burials than headstones? Are there still burials in these back yards? And of course, has this lead to #hauntings? Spectrewaves Paranormal In July 2019 were at the Guyer Opera House, Lewisville Indiana. Spectrewaves were in the Dressing Room Area, when the activity started. Spectrewaves captured a Large Figure on the Kinect, then Spectrewaves Rem Pod started to engage with intelligent interaction. Layne8e then experienced a cold spot, which was later followed by Laynee getting Poked in the eye.
