1) I know how you feel. Take a breath, you're not alone

2) Some of the best ways to get away from Terf rhetoric (which. Even if you're not trans,you should reaalllly get away from it, it's incredibly harmful):

-unfollow any accounts ofc, but also BLOCK terfs when you come across them, and filter the tags. Terfs have a habit of deliberately targeting people in messages and reblogs, and they know how to twist your words to make it sound like they're in the right - I've been messaged countless times by terfs claiming all sorts of things about me as a trans person. They also often specifically target dysphoric and questioning people like yourself. Block them.

-Surround yourself with similar people. Find forums for genderquestioning people, Including humour/meme forums!! Meme and joke forums can be really helpful because they remove a lot of the fear of stigma from the questioning experience. They can provide a comfortable place where everyone will be supportive regardless of what you discover about yourself - if you question and end up cis, they will still be supportive. On Tumblr I'd recommend following:

@lgballt (this is a humour blog based on a subreddit, but the subreddit can be pretty overwhelming to someone who is new to this, so the lgballt Tumblr account is a better starting point imo)

@trans-positivity is a safe place that will help you destigmatize transness in your own head, whilst providing you the space you need to question and figure things out on your own.

@questioningpositivity is also a good one specifically for questioning people!

Confessions of An Advice Freak

Maybe it’s because I’m British, but I love a good cup of tea. 

There’s been many a time when things have been tough: bad day at school, someone ran over the cat, Nan’s dead, etc. And every time, my mom would put the kettle on and make a nice cup of tea. You’d stand/sit and drink, and chat away with your mom, dad, sister, brother, cat (not the dead one), Nan (not the dead one either), and suddenly everything would seem better.

Tea is comfort. Tea is sympathy. Tea is someone caring, an invitation to talk about what’s bothering you, and be listened to. There’s some things in the world (like cake) which just happen to make everything feel better, and tea is one of them. You can down as many cups as you like without feeling guilty (unlike cake). And something about sitting and talking with somebody over a hot, steaming mug of tea has a strange way of making the heaviest of burdens just that little bit lighter.

I can’t promise to know the answers to all of your questions. I can’t promise to always say the right thing, or know the ins and outs of everything you have going on. But I can promise to sit and listen, to try my best to understand, and to offer you a stranger’s unbiased perspective. 

You don’t have to listen to my advice. You don’t even have to ask for it. You can burst in, rant away, and leave if you like. 

This blog is for the broken, looking to be fixed. The damaged, looking to be helped. The angry, looking to vent. The grieving, looking to grieve; the lost, looking to find themselves; and the confused, looking for who-knows-what. 

Nobody will ever be shouted down. Nobody will ever be ignored. Nobody will ever be turned away. My door is always open.
