Portrait de Cécile Charlotte Furtado-Heine. Hermann Fidel Winterhalter (German, 1808-1891). Oil on canvas. 

From her mother of the rich family of financiers and politicians Fould, Cécile Charlotte Furtado married the Frankfurt banker, Charles Heine, but became a widow soon after. Installed in Rocquencourt, she was involved in numerous charities and played a support role during the War of 1870 to the wounded by making numerous donations.
