THIS JUST IN: Wakfu Season 5 is reportedly in development, greenlighted and confirmed -- says Ankama Animations and France Televisions [#K5NewsFMExclusive]
Tumblr media
(Written by Rhayniel Saldasal Calimpong / Freelanced News Writer, Online Media Reporter and News Presenter of OneNETnews)
ROUBAIX, FRANCE -- French entertainment company & public broadcaster 'Ankama Animations' and 'France Televisions' revealed on Wednesday night (June 12th, 2024 -- France local time) on social media that the most highly anticipated and popular animated series 'Wakfu' officially greenlighted, and is in development for Season 5, which supposedly the 4th and final season pushed back to one more season within the next several years to come.
In an exclusive visual poster photo on Instagram (part of Meta Platforms Inc. [MPi]), per first obtained by K5 News FM: Dumaguete… Mr. Yugo Sharm, who was the adult Eliatrope individual, and recently married with Princess Amalia Sheran Sharm, where portals open to seek what was happening in his next story-driven adventure, sometimes his life after a steamy married couple (YuMalia) in Sadida Kingdom.
Show creators themselves at 'Ankama Animations', citing from the American news magazine 'Variety' and 'Deadline Hollywood' that the aforementioned French entertainment company acquires a minority stake with 'INTHEBOX'. While the anime-inspired independent animation company 'Studio Unagi' eyes with larger development slate of projects ramp up its production volume.
Yet, a 'Wakfu' franchise spin-off, revealing a brand new free-to-play roleplay gaming 'Waven' of 'Ankama Games' may soon have a potential adaptation under the same name as a French animated series or a movie, if all goes into the plan. The old and familiar faces are a different account, aside from a televised French animated production of the main protagonist charter of the franchise for Mr. Yugo Sharm.
As you may remember in context, some months ago this year in 2024, at the end of Season 4 finale episode… A momentous occasion between 'Yugo' the Eliatrope and Princess Amalia Sheran Sharm, the beloved main protagonist character couples of the series are now finally united in marriage at the majestic Sadida Kingdom. The union of Mr. Yugo Sharm and Prncs. Amalia Sheran Sharm marked a significant milestone in their journey together for all these years. A beautiful sunset over the kingdom as its warm orange-like glow fell upon the newlyweds via portals. The kissing ended in cliffhanger to wrap last new episodes.
Things are in dark turn for lovemaking after marriage as a French cartoon show for mature audiences as a follow-up, per the latest manga webtoon comic sequel of 'Wakfu: The Great Wave' - Chapter 1, which is way too dark to sell for public broadcasters on a French kids and teens programming block 'Okoo' for France 4, since this webtoon manga chapter is no longer animated, and in part for the renewal development of Season 5 in production at 'Ankama Animations'.
Case in point, edited versions in most of its episodes for targeted demographic of kids and teens may be possible on national TV aside the sex scenes from the start in manga webtoon comic sequel, while the potential uncensored bits was subject for the approval to the public French broadcaster, if later fitted for the mature-rated content to 'France TV Slash'. Along the way, the Season 4 finale of Wakfu not only left fans in awe of the beautiful union between Mr. Yugo and Prncs. Amalia, but also set the stage for new adventures and challenges in the upcoming 5th Season.
Meanwhile, the news of the 5th Season of Wakfu comes as a joyful surprise to its fans worldwide, especially in the Philippines, United States of America (U.S.A.), Canada and across the globe. The show lovers among us are up for another fantastic new season from creators at 'Ankama Animations' and 'INTHEBOX'.
With the previous seasons having left traditional and online streaming viewers at suspense, this upcoming season is bound to create even more excitement, fantasy and thrillers that will be made on large screens on television and online.
You can relive the excitement of 'Wakfu', streaming now on the 'Okoo' app and on 'France TV' website, while you wait for potentially extra final 5th Season. Netflix is also available globally for you to stream at your own time.

Blackfyre Records is an American record label owned by House of the Dragon Music Group (HOTD MG). Blackfyre is one of the oldest surviving brand names in the recorded sound business. It is also one of two of House of the Dragon Music Group’s flagship record labels: the other being its longtime rival, Oldtown Records.
Born out of the partnership of Uthero Zalyne, an Iron Bank partner, and Aerion Targaryen, Blackfyre Records was founded in 1916 as then named, Blackfyre Graphophone Company. By 1926, Blackfyre had a growing stable of jazz and blues artists and was on track to being the leading recording company in the country. But due to the stock market Crash of 1929 leading to huge losses in the recording industry, Zalyne sold his shares of Blackfyre to Draz & Co., another investment bank. When Draz & Co. was declared bankrupt in November 1931, Blackfyre, now independent and floundering, was put into receivership. In January of 1932, Aerion was prepared to sell the company to Warner Brothers Pictures, Inc., to be their in-house music label, but due to an untimely heart attack, his daughter, Visenya Targaryen, the only one of his three children to follow their father into the music business, took over as President and broke the deal off.
By 1967, Visenya became CEO of House of the Dragon, thus leaving the position of president to her son, former actor Maegor Targaryen. Following the appointment of Maegor, Blackfyre became more of a rock music label, thanks mainly to Maegor’s obsession with rock and roll in his youth. He signed several leading acts including Longclaw. Longclaw led the way for several generations of rock and rollers that would dominate the scene for a decade. However, Visenya still had a hand in traditional pop and jazz and one of its key acquisitions during this period was Gareth Tyrell. Gareth released his first solo album with Blackfyre in 1973 and remains with the label to this day.
And yet, despite being the man with Midas touch, Maegor’s personal life throughout his tenure had been highly controversial, known popularly as the “Dark Days”. From marrying a suspected Hollywood madam in a highly publicized TV wedding to converting to Mormonism in a bid to have a second wife, as well as rumors of emotional and physical abuse of his partners and being linked to the shooting of the son of a former business associate. Culminating in the spring of 1980 when Maegor was charged with the murder of one of his artists, Alys Harroway, leaving his half-brother Aenys Targaryen to act as Interim President.
In June of 1980, Visenya dies of old age, three weeks before Maegor’s sentencing hearing. At the news of his mother’s death, Maegor committed suicide by self-inflicted gunshot in the office of his Bel-Air mansion while released on bail.
Aenys, unable to handle pressures of being president of Blackfyre, hands in his resignation not long after in January of 1981. Jaehaerys Targaryen, then CEO of HOTD MG after Visenya, holds a vote to determine the next president. After a week of deliberation, Baelon is chosen to lead Blackfyre Records, over his older brother Aemon.
The appointment was met with confusion and frustration, with Baelon being quoted in the 1981 September edition of Time magazine saying “Maegor left a mess, and they handed it to me on a silver platter.” In order to handle the workload, Baelon recruited his sister Saera Targaryen to be the new Label Manager while he handled the corporate cleanup.
And while the 1980s saw the emergence of modern rock, becoming very popular, it was in the late 1980s that glam metal became the largest, most commercially successful brand of music worldwide. Off the back of this new mainstream appeal, Dark Sister, the brainchild of Baelon’s sons, Viserys and Daemon, was formed. And Saera, an avid cinephile and soap opera enthusiast used their band as a vehicle to market Blackfyre and Oldtown Records’ longtime rivalry to massive mainstream success. Yet by the mid-90s the popularity of many of Blackfyre’s glam metal artists had waned with only Dark Sister, Lamentation, and Brightroar maintaining theirs throughout the entire decade, largely by re-inventing themselves.
Blackfyre Records is currently run by Daemon Targaryen in a dual role as both Record Label Manager and President (Viserys previously stepped down due to health concerns).

Kanye West Reportedly Blamed Rihanna For Domestic Abuse During Letterman Interview
Walker
November 06, 2022 12:52 PM PST
Tumblr media
More controversial comments from Kanye West are coming to light.
via: The Wrap
Netflix and David Letterman’s production company edited out comments by Kanye “Ye” West that referenced Nazis and blamed Rihanna for her own domestic abuse during a 2019 interview with the comedian for his talk show, multiple audience members at the taping told TheWrap.
The comments were made during a wide-ranging interview taped before a live audience for Season 2 of the comedian’s Netflix talk show “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman.”
Audience members Noah Reich and David Maldonado of Los Angeles told TheWrap they were sitting in the center front row of a local theater in January 2019 when West, who has since legally changed his name to Ye, repeated right-wing conspiracy theories, observed that liberals treated anyone wearing a red pro-Trump cap “like they were Nazis” and noted that Rihanna, a former victim of domestic abuse, must have done something to deserve what happened to her.
These comments were largely not included in the version that has streamed on Netflix, according to audience members at the taping.
“It was shocking to see that Kanye West could share harmful alt-right beliefs, conspiracy theory after conspiracy and misogynistic beliefs about women for the majority of the interview and end up with an edit that removed all those items in favor of celebrity fluff content,” Reich told TheWrap.
Some of the aired episode was devoted to Letterman discussing and trying on the rapper’s Yeezy clothes and shoes and the rapper’s Sunday Service song-and-prayer gatherings. The show did include one comment about liberals bullying then-President Donald Trump supporters as well as some #MeToo discussion.
Other Ye comments that were edited out included a rant about how an unnamed music executive friend – whom Reich and Maldonado suspected was R. Kelly – got “MeToo-ed” and how West himself could be “MeToo-ed,” they said. The rapper also repeatedly referenced a Hollywood power structure that he suggested was behind the #MeToo movement, which Reich said struck him as a reference to Jewish people.
Reich and Maldonado said they heard Ye complain that the media always seemed to support women over men when misconduct allegations surfaced. As one example, Maldonado recalled that Ye complained that “Chris Brown’s career is basically over and you have Rihanna and everyone took her side. She must have done something to merit what happened to her.” In 2009, singer Chris Brown pleaded guilty to a felony assault charge after a brutal attack on his then-girlfriend, Rihanna.
The fact that some of Ye’s comments didn’t make the cut first surfaced in late October in a newsletter service by writer Elad Nehorai.
The Wrap could not independently verify Ye’s words at the Jan. 14, 2019 taping at the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center. Netflix did not provide a copy of the tape or a transcript of the entire interview when asked. Audience members were prohibited from recording the live taping, attendees said. Representatives listed for West on IMDb and elsewhere did not respond to requests for comment.
Letterman’s Worldwide Pants, Inc., producer of “My Next Guest,” told TheWrap in a written statement that the series was “an edited conversation show” and shot for more than five hours over two days with West and then edited down to a 55-minute episode.

Your Local Tree Service in Hollywood Explains Vertical Splits in Tree Trunks
Tree damage can result from various weather incidents, such as extreme temperatures, flooding, and strong winds. While basic cleanup tasks can often be managed independently, significant damage calls for professional assistance from a reputable tree service in Hollywood. At Your Way Tree Service Inc., we are equipped with the necessary tools and expertise to ensure the safety and well-being of your trees. If your tree exhibits a vertical split in the trunk, understanding the causes and potential risks is crucial for effective tree care.
Causes of a Vertical Split on Your Tree Trunk
According to the Arbor Day Foundation, frost cracking is a common cause of vertical splits in tree trunks, occurring due to temperature fluctuations that lead to interior trunk contraction and expansion. Additionally, vertical splits may result from accidental damage caused by lawnmowers or landscaping equipment. Factors like lightning strikes and natural variations in tree trunk thickness and bark can also contribute to vertical cracks.
Will the Tree Survive a Vertical Split?
If the tree is healthy, small splits may not cause a problem. However, monitor them to prevent worsening. Larger vertical splits have risks, such as inviting disease and pests. A weak tree is prone to suffering from these issues and may not survive. Large vertical splits are a safety hazard and likely to fall, causing damage. This damage could impact cars or homes and may injure nearby individuals.
How Our Tree Service in Hollywood Can Help
When assessing the survival chances of a tree with a vertical split, it is essential to monitor small splits in healthy trees to prevent worsening. Larger vertical splits pose risks such as susceptibility to diseases, pest infestations, and structural instability, increasing the likelihood of tree failure. To address significant vertical splits effectively, professional intervention is necessary to promote proper healing and structural support through techniques like cabling or bracing.
Dangers of Avoiding Repair
Avoiding repair of vertical splits can lead to irreversible tree damage, necessitating tree removal and potential property damage. The International Society of Arboriculture emphasizes the importance of timely tree maintenance to mitigate risks associated with vertical splits, such as structural failure and safety hazards. Seeking prompt professional assistance from a tree service in Hollywood, like Your Way Tree Service Inc., is crucial for ensuring the longevity and health of your trees. Contact us today, schedule a free consultation for expert tree care and repair solutions.

Pro Wrestling Illustrated: September 1996
Public Enemy: “They’re Insane In The Membrane!”
HAVOC INC. PAYS THE PRICE FOR HERO WORSHIP
It’s one thing to respect an opposing team. It’s another thing to worship them … even after they just gave you the worst whipping of your life
By Dave Rosenbaum
[Public Enemy’s Johnny Grunge applies a rear chinlock on Havoc Inc.’s Hollywood as Hollywood grimaces in pain. The punishment PE dealt out to Havoc Inc. would get much, much worse, though. ]
WE DON’T KNOW if Aretha Franklin’s friend ever found out what R-E-S-P-E-C-T meant to her, but here’s what it meant to Havoc Inc., a team that might have put Public Enemy a little too high on a pedestal.
“They’re insane in the membrane!” said Rocco Rock of Public Enemy. “You gotta be a fool to get into that ring without a little bit of respect for your opponent, but there ain't no room in wrestling for hero worship, not when your heroes are going to kick the livin’ crap out of you!”
Put even more succinctly by Public Enemy’s Johnny Grunge, “They always dreamed of getting their butts kicked by Public Enemy. Well, they got their wish and then some!”
***
Two men named O’Dog and Hollywood fell in love about three years ago–and not with each other! The object of their desire was a wrestling tag team, Public Enemy.
But this is no Goldust story. It’s about two wrestlers who saw a tag team and immediately said, “We’ve gotta be like them!” Rock and Grunge was the tag team O’Dog and Hollywood dreamed of being.
“You see those guys in the ring and know that’s what tag team wrestling is supposed to be all about,” Hollywood said. “You’re talking about two wrestlers who had been around a whole, but they never clicked until they made a team. They’re fearless, and they’re great wrestlers, too.”
[Hollywood used to love watching Rocco Rock set opponents up on press tables, then send them crashing through those tables. He probably never thought Rock would someday try it on him!]
Hollywood, who checks in at 6’4”, 275 pounds, and O’Dog, whose vitals are 5’10”, 180 pounds, had spent five years wrestling for independents in the Carolinas, Georgia, and Oregon. They are a streetfighting team that never could distinguish themselves from the other streetfighting teams and had settled into a life of making ends meet.
They were also fans. O’Dog and Hollywood were regularly in attendance at ECW matches in Philadelphia when Public Enemy wrestled. They’d sit at ringside, make mental notes of what they saw, and once even had the chance to shake their heroes’ hands.
“I don’t remember it,” Grunge spat. “Not that it was worth remembering.” So enthralled was Havoc Inc. with PE that O’Dog and Hollywood sent a letter in care of WCW to Public Enemy that described in detail why Rock and Grunge were the greatest Tag team in the world.
“We didn't see any harm in that!” O’Dog said.
“Stupidest thing anybody’s ever done!” Grunge said. “It ticked us off. If some tag team’s gonna copy us, they better get it right and just do it. Public Enemy asks no questions, we just kick butt. You do sissy stuff like writin’ gushy letters and you’re askin’ for trouble from us. We had to teach them a lesson about what being tough is all about.”
It’s March 22 at an Int’l Pro Wrestling card in Leighton, Pennsylvania, and Havoc Inc.is about to realize its dream of being in the same ring as Public Enemy. What they don't know is they’re about to be destroyed by PE.
Since arriving in WCW late last year, Public Enemy has only occasionally competed on independent cards. But tonight, Grunge and Rock are wrestling in tiny Lehighton because they want the chance to violently meet the team that admires them so.
[Havoc Inc.’s O’Dog had Rock on the run early in the match, but the advantage didn’t last long. PE had a message to send to Havoc Inc. On this night. They delivered it in very violent fashion!]
“We thought they’d like to shake our hands or maybe enjoy a few knees to the gut from us,” Rock chortled. “Maybe they’d enjoy having their necks broken by the best tag team in the world. That’ll give them something to tell their grandchildren about … if they’re still capable of having grandchildren!”
It’s questionable after this one. A match that many thought would be totally one-sided ends up being very competitive for a while. Once they get control of the match, though, Public Enemy draws out the affair and teaches Havoc Inc.a lesson in violence and mayhem. Public Enemy sends both of their opponents crashing through wooden tables, Rocco Rock with a somersault, grunge with a crushing elbowdrop. The match spills outside of the ring and into the bleachers, where Havoc Inc. are spectators to their own beating.
[Havoc Inc. do take their worship of PE to the extreme. They even write on the tape they use on their wrists (above), which is something Rock and Grunge often do. Looks like Grunge wasn’t too flattered (below).]
With the fans on their side, Rock and Grunge crush the upstarts and leave them battered. Havoc Inc. looks like it has been through a war but strangely, O’Dog and Hollywood are smiling.
“Now we want The Gangstas,”Hollywood said, “That would make our year! Public Enemy and The Gangstas. Can you imagine that?”
Can you believe it? “I swear, I would’ve killed them if they came up to us and thanked us for nearly ending their lives,” Grunge said.
“I definitely would’ve finished the job.” Rock added.
Maybe they should have, because O’Dog and Hollywood are unflappable.
“You have to pay your dues and learn your lessons in wrestling,” Hollywood said. “We learned our lesson tonight about what it takes to be at Public Enemy’s level. Maybe we have some work to do,  but that’s okay.”
Said O’Dog: “I'm just mad that we didn’t get a chance to shake their hands.”
No, but Public Enemy shook everything else on a night of glorified violence for Havoc Inc.

Sundance Film Festival 2024 Summary
Tumblr media
Before taking this course and attending Sundance Film Festival 2024, I had a pretty loose idea of what the indie film genre was. My understanding of it was simply that it was a filmmaking process being done by independents who had little to no funding for their projects. However, after two weeks of studying the material and really diving into Michael Z. Newman’s Indie: An American Film Culture I came to the realization that my preconceived notions barely scratched the surface of what indie filmmaking was. The three slogans (when in doubt read as anti-hollywood, characters are emblems, and form is a game) really aided in my understanding of the genre and it was really interesting to watch all of these films at the festival and actively apply the slogans to the material. I can honestly say that I left Sundance with a completely new understanding of films and how to watch them in a way that is engaging and applicable to my own filmmaking skills.
Below is a list of all of the films, including short films and new frontier projects, that I was able to watch at this year’s Sundance and a brief description of each.
Favorite Film: Exhibiting Forgiveness
An extremely moving film about an artist grappling with the generational trauma that scarred him and his efforts in trying to be better for his own family.
Least Favorite Film: Handling the Undead
A painfully slow film tackling the subject of grief in a world where the dead have resurrected.
List of Feature Films:
The Greatest Night in Pop: An electric documentary about the night in which the biggest stars of the time got together and recorded “We Are The World”, one of the most infamous works of music ever created.
A Different Man: A fascinating film about a man with facial disfigurements that undergoes reconstructive surgery which ultimately ends up changing the trajectory of his life.
As We Speak: A documentary that explores the ongoing battle rappers across the world are facing while dealing with the criminalization of rap lyrics, specifically the drill music genre.
Freaky Tales: A thrilling film that explores four separate stories that seemingly interlinked with each other. Jam Packed with an outstanding cast, the film manages to cover some pretty interesting themes while still keeping the energy exciting  and adventurous.
Never Look Away: The best documentary shown at Sundance in my opinion, the film explores the story of photojournalist Maragaret Moth, an individual who was larger than life and took on some of the toughest challenges one could imagine.
Kidnapping Inc: A quick paced, comedic thriller than follows two criminals who aren’t very good at their jobs and who are attempting to get themselves out of a life or death situation.
Ponyboi: This film deals with an intersex sex worker who gets themselves caught in a troubling situation. As they attempt to find a way out, they are also confronted with their tricky home life and the pending death of their father.
Love Me: An innovative and unique film that takes place after the end of humanity in which a buoy and a satellite fall in love. It explores themes of purpose and identity and it is executed in a beautiful manner.
Little Death: A comical film that merges two stories into one, both of them exploring difficult situations that leave the characters helpless at times. Although entertaining, it was a bit of a mess at the time and the use of artificial intelligence took away from the plot.
A New Kind of Wilderness: A touching documentary about a family having to adjust to society after a devastating tragedy occurs, tearing apart the reality they had always known. The way in which grief was represented and how the idea of moving on was brought up was so beautiful, truly one of the best things I saw at Sundance.
Shorts Films Midnight Short Film Program
The Rainbow Bridge: A colorful and humorous short film about a pet owner making a spiritual connection with their dog before their death. The visual elements, although ridiculous at times, made the energy of the film so whimsical and fun.
The Looming: A beautiful depiction of mental illness in old age. It had bits that absolutely terrified me but it was honestly so devastating as the ending unfolded. Definitely my favorite film in the block by far.
SHÉ (SNAKE): A short film that explores a young school girl suffering from imposter syndrome due to feeling threatened by the new girl’s presence. This wasn’t my favorite film from the block as I was left a bit confused, but the visual elements were quite compelling.
The Bleacher: A short film about missing socks, a cheating husband, murder, and a giant washing machine monster. This film was absolutely insane from start to finish and honestly a bit unsettling. I absolutely loved it.
Bold Eagle: There is so much to say about this short film, yet nothing at all. It was an experimental piece that explored the subjects of porn and politics while managing to maintain the most chaotic ambiance imaginable.
Dream Creep: This short film was so unique with its storyline, I had never seen a plot quite like that one. It’s one of those short films that really made me wish it was a full feature length film because of how intriguing it was.
Indie Episodic:
“LOLLA: THE STORY OF LOLLAPALOOZA”: An electric two episodes that explore the punk scene of what eventually became one of the most popular music festivals in the world. Watching these was so much fun and the amount of archival footage was fascinating to see.
New Frontier:
Eno: An innovative and abstract documentary piece that explores the colorful life of Brian Eno and his creative strategies when it comes to music making.
Talk:
United Airlines, Uniting and Connecting Storytellers (Latino Filmmakers Network): This event was so much fun to attend. It felt great listening to all of the Latino filmmakers and their experience with being at Sundance. Not only was it beyond interesting, but it was wonderful to see people like me up on a stage and being successful in the filmmaking industry.
With all that being said, being able to attend Sundance was honestly one of the greatest experiences I have ever had and I am beyond grateful that I was given the opportunity to go with some of my closest friends. Being in that environment was honestly a game changer and further motivated me to continue creating films and fully immerse myself in that world as I grow older and continue to learn more about the genre and skill of filmmaking. I hope to be back at Sundance in the near future!

scene of Quo vadis? from 1912 by Enrico Guazzoni
The kolossals were characterized by mammoth sets, pharaonic budgets, Mammoth scenography and a large number of extras and table special effects. Thanks to the increase of techiniche the cinasti had the opportunity to give vent to the fantasy. The roots of Kolossal are in Europe, in particular in Italy, where directors take their cue from Roman history and make original films from a visual point of view and pharaonic in size. Enrico Guazzoni (1889-1949) for Quo Vadis? 1912 hired 5000 extras for the film set in early Christian Rome. Sundance film festival - a brief presentaion
Tumblr media
History of Sundance Film Festival
Sundance began in Salt Lake City in August 1978 as the Utah/US Film Festival in an effort to attract more filmmakers to Utah. It was founded by Sterling Van Wagenen, head of Robert Redford's company Wildwood Enterprises, Inc, and John Earle of the Utah Film Commission. The 1978 festival featured films such as Deliverance, A Streetcar Named Desire, Midnight Cowboy, Mean Streets, and Sweet Smell of Success.
It is the largest independent film festival in the United States, with more than 46,660 attending in 2016. It takes place each January in Park City, Utah, and at the Sundance Resort (a ski resort near Provo, Utah), and acts as a showcase for new work from American and international independent filmmakers. The festival consists of competitive sections for American and international dramatic and documentary films, both feature films and short films, and a group of out-of-competition sections. Many films premiering at Sundance have gone on to be nominated and win Oscars such as Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor in a Leading Role.
Growth of the festival
Founded by Robert Redford in 1981, the Sundance Institute took over the festival in 1985 and changed its name to the United States Film Festival. It wasn’t renamed the Sundance Film Festival until 1991. “Sundance” was the name of Redford’s character in the 1969 film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Over the years, the festival has evolved from a low-key venue for low-budget, independent producers from outside the Hollywood system, to a media spectacle for Hollywood celebrity actors, paparazzi, and luxury lounges put up by corporations unrelated to Sundance. In recent years, festival organisers have attempted to limit these activities, commencing in 2007 with their ongoing Focus On Film campaign. Smaller festivals such as; Slamdance, Nodance, Slumdance, It-dance, X-Dance, Lapdance, Tromadance and The Park City Film Music Festival, cropped up around Sundance in the Park City area, though all except Slamdance are no longer around.
What type of films do they show?
The Sundance Film Festival brings together the most original storytellers and the most adventurous audiences. Since 1985, hundreds of films premiered at the Festival have received critical acclaim and reached global audiences hungry for new ideas and voices. The festival’s  annual program includes dramatic and documentary features, short films, and episodic content. They also host daily filmmaker conversations, panel discussions, and other events. There had been astronomical growth experienced by the festival during the 1990s and 2000s that created a need to expand the number of films screened and introduce more effective ways of grouping them together for easy digestion by the audience. Over the years, the festival has experimented with a range of different sidebars and today, no less than 12 separate sections make up the Sundance Film Festival program.
Key historical films
Sex, Lies, and Videotape launched the modern independent film movement here in 1989 … Directed by Steven Soderbergh the film made at a budget of just $1.2 million, Sex, Lies, and Videotape captured the Audience Award for Dramatic Film at the 1989 Sundance Film Festival, as well as the Palm d’Or at the 1989 Cannes Film Festival. The film eventually grossed $24.7 million. The film, which starred Andie MacDowell, James Spader, Laura San Giacomo and Peter Gallagher, launched the career of Soderbergh, who as a struggling filmmaker had served as a volunteer driver for festivalgoers at Sundance the year before. Today, Sex, Lies, and Videotape is considered one of the most influential movies in independent film history. In 2006, the film was added to the United States Library of Congress’ National Film Registry as being deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”
Reservoir Dogs caused quite a stir at Sundance in 1992 … Quentin Tarantino’s debut effort, Reservoir Dogs, premiered at the 1992 Sundance Film Festival and became the event’s most talked about film. The offbeat crime thriller starred Harvey Keitel, Michael Madsen, Steve Buscemi, Chris Penn, Tim Roth, Lawrence Tierney and Tarantino himself as “Mr. Brown.” Empire magazine has named Reservoir Dogs the “Greatest Independent Film of All Time.”

Global Indians: Navigating Identity, Influence, and Impact
In an increasingly interconnected world, the term "Global Indians" has gained significance as it represents a community of people who trace their roots back to the Indian subcontinent but have spread across the globe, making remarkable contributions in various fields. These Global Indians, whether through their professional achievements, cultural influence, or philanthropic efforts, have played a pivotal role in shaping the world we live in today.
The Global Indian Diaspora
The global Indian diaspora is a diverse and dynamic community. It encompasses individuals and families who have emigrated from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and other South Asian countries. This diaspora has grown significantly over the years, and it now extends to countries all over the world, with prominent communities in North America, the United Kingdom, the Gulf countries, Southeast Asia, and many more.
Navigating Identity
For Global Indians, navigating their identity can be a complex journey. They often grapple with questions of belonging, cultural heritage, and adaptation. While they may be deeply rooted in their Indian heritage, they also embrace the values and customs of their adopted countries. This duality creates a rich tapestry of experiences and perspectives, allowing them to bridge gaps between cultures and build bridges of understanding.
Global Indian Achievements
Global Indians have excelled in various fields, making significant contributions to the societies they live in. Whether it's the CEOs of multinational corporations, leading tech entrepreneurs, award-winning authors, accomplished scientists, or renowned artists, Global Indians have consistently proven their mettle. Their achievements are a testament to the power of education, hard work, and the immigrant spirit.
Influence in Technology and Business
In the tech world, the influence of Global Indians is undeniable. Prominent figures such as Sundar Pichai (CEO of Google and Alphabet Inc.), Satya Nadella (CEO of Microsoft), and Arvind Krishna (Chairman and CEO of IBM) exemplify the prowess of Global Indians in leading some of the world's most influential companies. Their innovative thinking and leadership have left an indelible mark on the technology landscape.
In the business world, Global Indians have also made their presence felt. The financial sector, in particular, has seen a surge of Indian-origin professionals excelling in banking, investment, and entrepreneurship. Their contributions have not only added to the global economy but have also fostered greater cross-cultural collaboration.
Cultural Influence and Soft Power
Beyond the corporate world, Global Indians have significantly impacted the realms of arts, culture, and entertainment. Indian cinema, including Bollywood and independent films, has gained international acclaim, with actors like Priyanka Chopra, Mindy Kaling, and Dev Patel breaking barriers in Hollywood. Writers like Jhumpa Lahiri and Arundhati Roy have won prestigious literary awards, showcasing the power of storytelling and the richness of Indian culture.
Global Indians have also been at the forefront of philanthropy and social change. Figures like Ratan Tata and Azim Premji have made substantial contributions to education, healthcare, and social welfare, both in India and globally. Their generosity has not only improved the lives of countless individuals but has also set a philanthropic example for others to follow.
Global Indians have shown that geographical boundaries do not define one's potential for success and impact. They have transcended borders and stereotypes to become a global force in various fields. The Global Indian community's journey of identity, influence, and impact is an inspiring tale of determination and resilience. As they continue to make their mark on the world stage, Global Indians serve as a source of pride for their home countries and a symbol of unity in diversity on a global scale.

( the film i saw Edgar Kennedy, Louise Fazenda, Norma Nichols and Mai Wells for the first time )
Prior to establishing himself as one of Hollywood's most prominent character comedians and master of the "slow burn," with his hand slowly moving down his baldpate and over his exasperated face, Edgar Kennedy was a mainstay in well over 60 Keystone and Sennett comedies between 1913 and 1919. During that era, he still had some hair and a svelte physique, and was referred to as "Big Ed." He returned to Sennett as a director and supporting player in 1924, and made a final freelance appearance in 1932.
Born in Lake San Antonio, near King City in Monterey County, California, Kennedy was a 6'1", 210-pound ex-boxer who put his muscular frame to good use as Keystone cops and jealous husbands during his Sennett years. Kennedy toured on stage in musical comedies, and made his film debut in Brown in Harvard (1911) with Selig in Chicago. He appears to have been given his start at Keystone through the auspices of Fred Mace, who was arranging boxing matches for Kennedy at the time.
Kennedy left Sennett for L-KO in 1917, then went to Fox Sunshine Comedies in 1918, before returning to Sennett for much of 1919. Edgar also worked in Clyde Cook's Fox Comedies (1921-23), a Lloyd Hamilton comedy (1923) again with Cook in a couple of independent shorts of Educational (1924) and a 1925 Arrow Mirthquake Comedy with Bobby Ray. He also freelanced in features. Kennedy put his boxing skills to use in Universal's "Leather Pushers" series in 1922 as the character of "Ptomaine Tommy," and he also did double duty as a director on Universal's Blue Bird comedies (1926-27).
In 1928, Kennedy joined Hal Roach studios, where he made several memorable appearances in Laurel and Hardy and Our Gang comedies, in addition to co-starring in the classic A Pair of Tights. He made a few Pathé shorts with Arthur Housman, before RKO placed him in his own series of two-reelers in 1931. He would continue to make these "Mr. Average Man" shorts for the next 17 years, until his death. Between shorts, he found himself in high demand as a featured supporting actor. Kennedy had particularly notable showcases for his dramatic ability in the films.
He died of throat cancer at 58 at the Motion Picture Hospital in Woodland Hills, California, leaving widow Patricia Allwyn (whom he married in 1924, after a brief marriage to actress Ruth King), son Larry and daughter Colleen, and is interred at Holy Cross Cemetery, Culver City.

There is exactly one lawful Autochthonous American Government that has been functioning since 1772 and there is no other lawful Government in this country (USNA); our Autochthonous people have been identified and our State Assemblies have been brought into Session, and we are accounted for, present, alive and well.
We are Autochthonous Americans, not U.S. Citizens, not Municipal citizens of the United States. We have been attacked, pillaged, and plundered by our own Federal employees who have been misdirected and used as mercenary forces by the Vatican Municipal Corporation Subcontractors resident in the District of Columbia.
We had our Continuance of Government plan established when the lights went out in the chaos following the Mercenary Conflict misrepresented as The American Civil War.
Once the last American President, James Wilson, termed out, the State Assemblies one-by-one stopped meeting and in the confusion and welter of similarly named organizations, most Autochthonous Americans assumed that everything was as it should be --- while those who knew better were forced to flee for their lives into the hills of Kentucky and Tennessee, the mountains of Montana, or even to the wild frontiers of Washington, Oregon, and Alaska.
By the time we mustered our Summoning Authority and summoned the State Assemblies back into Session, Texas was the only State Assembly still in Session.
Despite all the obstacles, our Autochthonous American Government never died and was never subjugated to the exclusive legislative jurisdiction of the British Territorial Government then or now.
We have heard and we see that there is a framework in place allowing the British Territorial Government to survive and thrive despite their current financial and political difficulties.
They hope to recoup authority upon the Debt Default and Bankruptcy Release scheduled for June 21st of this year, whereupon they want to stage a big theater production to proclaim a new British Territorial Federal Republic --- and confuse it with our old Autochthonous Federal Republic.
When discussing "Continuance of Government" it pays to ask, which government? The lawful Government of this country, or the "government" of a British Territorial Municipal Corporation operated by the British Crown?
This would be another Substitution Fraud, with the Brits aping a dormant American Business and attempting to replace it with their similarly named British Territorial version, just as they substituted their Territorial State-of-State doing business as "the State of Oregon" for the American version doing business as "The State of Oregon".
They have already planned to abuse their defense system capabilities to shut down the normal telecommunications grid, and use their movie-making and script-writing skills from Hollywood and from state-of-the-art CGI production facilities to roll out a "shock and awe" propaganda hit piece that will run for three days solid while the people of this country are kept locked down by illegal curfews imposed under color of law by a commercial corporation having no more actual authority than Ford Motor Company, Inc. or IBM, Inc. or Burger King, Inc.
Exactly why should we be further harassed, threatened, propagandized, or unlawfully and illegally "enforced upon" by mercenaries of any kind? Much less mercenaries who receive their paychecks from our pockets?
These Municipal Corporation Subcontractors need to stand down all across the board and the leadership of these organizations need to learn what it is to speak and mean and live the truth again.
Using Hollywood-based illusions and theater and False Narratives in an attempt to further usurp against our lawful Government and excuse what has gone on here isn't going to change anything. It's an insult to the dead and an insult to our intelligence, too.
We are not a democracy nor are we a commonwealth nor are we a territory. We are fifty sovereign and independent states, each one a nation unto itself.
The mutual powers that we, the unincorporated Federation of States, delegated to the Confederation formed in 1781 and which the Confederation exercised and implemented via the Autochthonous American Federal Republic, can't be exercised by the Brits, because those powers have returned to us by Operation of Law. If our American Federal Republic is ever to be reconstructed, that work has to be done by Autochthonous Black, Brown and Coppertone Americans.
It is contemplated and it is our goal to completely restore all parts of our Autochthonous Government to full function, and to observe the merits and the pitfalls of it, so as to make considered changes once the restoration is complete.
In the meantime, the Powers Delegated to the American Federal Republic have already returned to the source of the delegation of powers, our unincorporated Federation of States.
We are competent to do the work ourselves or hire interim contractors to accomplish all that needs to be done--entirely without drama or lies or excuses or horrific film footage of carnage and adrenochrome factories broadcast into our homes and psyches.
At this point, we have been lied to and lied about so often, we won't believe any of it, anyway, and neither should anyone else.
We wish for all the phony exposes and theater events to be cancelled.
There is no point in trying to stage another British Territorial Substitution Fraud, no need for any more false Narratives or false self-aggrandizing excuses.
We have seen it all before; we have no need to see it again.
We demand for the British Territorial Subcontractors to stand down and stop talking endlessly about their democracy. So far as we have been able to determine they don't have a democracy, they have an autocracy presided over by a Commander-in-Chief, and haven't been able to get a 51% mandate of even their own limited citizenry since the Second World War.
As we contemplate this situation, young men -- Hispanics, Chinese, Arabs -- are in training at Fort Hood in Texas and other places, being put through boot camp and prepared for use as mercenaries, no doubt to be deployed on our soil --- more unlawful acts.
It isn't apparent whether these young troops are to be mainstreamed into the regular mercenary forces that the British Territorial Subcontractors have maintained as Occupation Forces, or used as paramilitary
forces in quasi-civilian garb, operating as foreign guerrilla units in our urban environments.
One thing is certain, they are either going to be deployed to kill innocent Americans or they are being set up as an insurgent force themselves, to provide a target and an excuse for war on our shores.
These young people are being deliberately imported via the illegally open Southern Border in violation of Article IV, Section 4, of both The Constitution of the United States of America and The Constitution of the United States.
We won't bother playing with all the gun fodder, imported or homegrown if this continues. We will take out the actual culprits, and the rest, lacking a paycheck, will go home.
Let everyone be advised that we know exactly where the birds of the air have their nests and the foxes have their dens, and we won't miss if anyone is so foolish as to stage an armed conflict on our shores.
We have seen it before and have no need to see it again.
We wish for a peaceful and practical settlement of all debts and ownerships, allowing everyone to go home and tend their business and enjoy caretaking the land and soil that belongs to them.
We view the mindless drive toward homogeneity and the forced migration of artificially created refugee populations as a direct affront to Nature and Nature's God under Ecclesiastical Law and a completely foolish initiative undertaken by politicians and ignorant social planners who have misidentified our differences as the cause of social unrest and conflict.
Rather, mankind's diversity, like all the other diversity plainly displayed throughout the natural world, is a source of strength and adaptability and mutual benefit that must be cherished and preserved.
We wish for an end to all efforts to homogenize humanity and destroy nations in the name of peace. The nations are not the cause of war, nor are our many different races, religions, traditions, cultures, and genotypes.
The cause of violence stems always from fear and physical deprivation which is now and always has been totally unnecessary in this environment.
We wish for the end of The Doctrine of Scarcity and its ill-considered results which contribute to meaningless suffering, unnecessary physical deprivation resulting in hunger, thirst, ill-health, and all the social miasma which these conditions promote.
The idea that God is an Uncaring and Deadbeat Dad in the midst of the beauty and plenty this Earth provides, is a blasphemy of the highest order caused by men who consider poverty virtuous only when it is visited upon others. We wish for an end to this hypocrisy.
We also wish for an end to all the hyped-up fear-mongering and media manipulation designed to provoke adrenalin responses and adrenaline addiction, which may be considered a "starter drug" for adrenochrome addiction.
We have observed the effect of the "Nightly News" on the General Public and all it does is stimulate a low-level but pernicious adrenaline response that makes people hungry, sexually aroused, nervous, and needy -- thinking that they need more government to protect them, but not realizing that they need protection from what serves as their government.
We wish for the Municipal Corporation Subcontractors to stop censoring, directing, limiting, rewarding, or otherwise interfering with journalism in this country.
We wish for the Municipal Corporation Subcontractors to get their noses out of our homes and our businesses and to obey their obligations.
We wish for the right to privacy and all other rights guaranteed by our constitutional agreements to be rigorously honored without exception, and for all secretive manipulation of our biology for commercial gain to stop.
We wish for all mind control patents to be outlawed and stripped from the Patent Office and for this prohibition to include but not be limited to all suppressed National Security-related patents, including Mindbox patents, Alphabet, Inc., patents, and similar patented and unpatented products designed to control and direct public opinion without the public being aware of it.
Much of this injury both as regards the Municipal Corporations and the abuses of media for purposes of mind control, promotion of biological responses, and subliminal manipulation of Public Opinion and morality is being practiced in the jurisdiction of the air and employs energy and uses patents and involves the use of corporations and the personnel and equipment of corporations to deploy these abusive technologies.
We wish for an end to these unlawful activities, both at the Patent Office, where unlawful patents have been entertained and protected, and in newspaper and other media offices throughout this country which have suffered censorship and been coerced to serve as propaganda agencies for foreign Municipal Corporations.
The British Territorial Forces masquerading as the U.S. Army have been responsible for the most destructive, unjust, and violent actions in our history. It was William Tecumseh Sherman, the Butcher of the South, who first coined the use of the phrase "Final Solution" and applied it to the Lakota Sioux Indians fifty years before Hitler applied it to the Jews.
Like their peers, Lord Pirbright and Cecil Rhodes, General Ulysses S Grant, aka, US Grant, whose name was actually Hiram Grant, and General William Tecumseh Sherman were Undeclared British Agents, members of what would become the equivalent of the American Raj, brutal, evil, corrupt men who deserve no honor from us or anyone else.
Together, with British Central Bankers, these men planned the Bank Panic of 1873, and used it as an excuse to violate the Treaty of Fort Laramie signed only seven years before. They allowed thousands of gold miners to desecrate the Black Hills and trespass upon the Lakota Sioux Reservation.
These are not the actions of any lawful civilian government.
These are the acts of British Territorial mercenaries let loose on a peaceful civilian population and allowed to run rampant by Principals who have always owed us good faith and service. This violation of good faith and the continued unlawful activities of these Municipal Corporations on our shores move us to bring these claims under Ecclesiastical Law and prompt us to seek the permanent liquidation of these corporations, their franchises, agencies and subsidiaries.
We wish these organizations to stand forfeit for their crimes against us and against humanity over the past hundred and sixty years.
