I'm pretty sure this was from the spicy opinion ask game and I'm in a spicy mood so...

I'm not defending Leonardo DiCaprio and I think everyone should keep making jokes about the turning 25 thing but like. Guys. Those are all sugaring relationships with a contractual end date that leaves the girls free to do their own shit while they're still young. Like... he's not constantly attracting 20 year old models without paying off their student loans and buying them shoes and hopefully real estate if they stay long enough.

I'm not saying he's a great guy-- indeed this suggests he's a probably kind of awful person incapable of sustaining a meaningful relationship-- but I find a lot of of the discourse around this sort of diminishes the agency of the girls he dates because people tend to underestimate young pretty women. I suppose there are people out there who think what I'm suggesting is worse but I don't think it is! I think assuming every single one of them is a duped creature who will be heart broken when she turns 25 and is abandoned is pretty unflattering to them.

Everytime someone comes in defense of nepo-creep Sam Levinson with the "I didn't think he was creepy to me so we can ignore everything else he has said, what other people I work with have said or the literal product he has made publicly available to the masses" I get so confused. Like no one asked you to put yourself on the line. Like this is the moment to just say nothing like you do when he abuses or creeps people out? Even if it doesn't matter now, you're support of him lives on forever and if reports about him ever get worse, so do your statements?
