Genesis is a horse. An Arabian, to be specific, but just generally a horse.

He is pretty, fast, talented, smart, likes being with his herd, is very prone to sickness and injury, like, to an absurd degree.

He grew up in the country. He likes apples a silly amount.

Horses can be very loud when they want to be, like Genesis screaming Loveless, or very quiet, like Genesis reading Loveless.

He is obstinate and dramatic. He's probably soft. He has reasonably thicc lips. A runner's body.

Taken advantage of by capitalism. Show pony. Used in war. Sensitive.

He's a ho(rse).

He's also a bird, but Pegasuses are a thing.

I was playing red dead 2 and this npc approached me and said his wife was taken by the raiders and I went to help which got me thinking, what if this happens to Arthur Morgan's girlfriend and he goes in guns blazing? just had to write this little story 🤭

It was peaceful night for a ride on your horse so you decided to go alone. You gathered your satchel along with your weapons and mounted your horse, Valor. Before you knew it, you were out by the fields and enjoying the wind in your hair until suddenly something spooked Valor and you had fallen off. You heard screaming voices behind you.

''Quick! lasso her!''

Lemoyne Raiders

You scrambled to get up but you were too slow and a rope from behind pulled you back down to the ground, leaving you vulnerable. You struggled in your bonds but it was no use, the rope was too tight. You kicked and yelled to be set free but they ignored you as one of them was stowing you on their horse and they rode off to their hideout. You yelled for your horse to follow but he was too spooked so instead you whistled a tune loud enough for him to hear and he ran off.

You had trained your horse to get help by whistling a simple tune and luckily that came in handy today. Valor raced back to camp where Arthur sat by the fire talking to Dutch and Hosea. Arthur looked up surprised as your horse was here but you weren't. Valor was in a frantic state of mind, rearing, and neighing in panic. Right then and there, He could tell something was wrong. He quickly said bye to the two others, mounted Valor, and took off. He was quick to follow the tracks of the raider's horses and after a while, he was outside a small shack. You were inside, tied to the bedpost. You were screaming and crying as one of the raiders stepped closer to you with a knife in his hand.

Arthur quickly stormed in and when he saw what was about to happen, he saw red.

He drew out his gun in fury, ''You take one more step and you won't live!'' he shouted angrily. The raider decided to be bold and ignored his threat. Another raider had snuck up behind him in an attempt to slit his throat but Arthur was quick to react and delivered a punch so hard, it knocked the Raider right out. As the Raider close to you had lifted his foot an inch from the ground, he was met with a bullet in his chest and fell to the ground lifeless. Arthur quickly rushed over to you and shot the locks to your cuffs. You shot up and clung to him, a relieved sob escaping through your mouth. Arthur quickly cradled you in his arms, holding onto you tightly.

''It's okay, I'm here baby shhh'' he whispered soothingly into your ear while he was rubbing your back in order to calm you down. '' Can you take a deep breath for me baby?'' he asked you softly and you nodded, taking a deep breath through your nose and exhaled out your mouth.

''Good girl'', he praised softly

You let out a small giggle at the praise and slowly leaned back up to stand, a sign you wanted to get out of here. Arthur took your hand and began to guide you out and helped you mount your horse. Arthur sat in the front and began the ride back to camp. You could feel the exhaustion creeping in so you laid your head on Arthur's back and slowly nodded off. Arthur smiled softly at this and kept an eye out while on the way back.
