one of the true highlights of the qsmp was introducing non-french speakers to how fucking awesome and hilarious etoiles is

whatever the plot of the minecraft movie is, i bet i could come up with something a hundred times better

#also the visuals are...interesting #it's not difficult to make minecraft cool and beautiful #i reckon it should've been about friendship. a multiplayer server the protagonists used to play on as kids but abandoned #and now they're grown up and have gone in different directions. the villain? the one friend who turned into a minecraft streamer. because #why not. it could've been cool. it could've been cool and funny and had strong ties to how players view minecraft which is mainly either a #way to connect with people or a way to express yourself #we could have redstoners; farmers; builders; etc. and their play style mirrors what they want from their life #and then the villain is the one who plays it just for money and cheats and makes it stressful and boring #someone hire me to write a better movie. i'll do it #albatross rambles #edit: also i'd make it all animated. you can have live action stuff sure but it's not a game meant to resemble reality

This isnt a crazy statement but i still think that there should be better diversity on the life series. I mean specifically there should be more woman creators and creators who are poc.

Theres only ever been TWO non-white members of the life series! What????

Only 4/17 of the secret life members are women! Thats like 4 and a bit men for every woman! THIS IS THE SEASON WITH THE MOST WOMEN????

Like i know the gaming space is a bit messed up on this front but like cmon....

I dont think that the life series is like. Intrinsically bad or anything, but it would be cool if Grian/the team and such could take notice of these facts and help to change the server just a bit more.

maybe that duck finally realized that running a minecraft server with a massive fanbase including performative chronical online fans and functioning it as a brand business paying salaries to the employees are never as easy as what he thought and only collecting leasons from following someone shadow footprints will never make you realize how risky it is until you are in their shoes.

#like do i feel bad when he almost had a mental breakdown right in a livestream ? not really but soft of #but at the same time do i feel he doesn't deserve all of those oppression ? no #he made his own bed he legitimately invited himself into this mess which could have prevented in the first place #he was the one cutting the relationship with the rest of his former friends #he was the one hiring all of the mod volunteers he was the one making those “ there is no war in ba sing se ” rules #he was the one functioning this Minecraft server as a business company not a passion project #he was the one building up this fanbase - the oppressed fans willingly doxxing and threatening ccs and other fans #he cannot pull out ' i barely caught up anything ' when it comes to paying salaries to other mods #because he made the damn principles applied to every mods how tf he can forget ?#not to mention he (used to) study laws ?? commercial laws ????#and when he fucking cried and talking about wilbur and sobbed about he was no longer in the server #yet none of supporting statements toward to shelby were made like okay bro im sure being a blind-eyed man must be tough for you last year #like what he even expected ? this is what happened if you silenced your voices and permitted your fucking fandom swept all of its issues #either he need to change or the damn server will go down to the pit hole #/neg

#haunted ecosystem #i totally haven't been thinking about this stuff for literal years.#i need to make a fic where i can just delve into it and write every little detail and explain how it all works #i want to explain my lore for phantoms and lavius (minecraft) and how the languages around you exist but arent understood by players #anymore. but they used to be.#how hub worlds work and by proxy server hubs. how you go about getting to a server which is invite only or on the smaller side #how big servers have these fancy “doors” or how in the empty spaces there are unsightly things that lure in players to corrupted servers #or how lag / glitches work. how inventories function and their appearances. the logic of player appearance and the inherent customizability #ALSO how usernames are tied to players. how mobs work and why they're distinct from players but not in the sense of lacking sentience
