BRF Reading - 17th of October, 2024
This is speculation only
Cards drawn on the 17th of October, 2024
Question: How will the tour of Australia go for King Charles?
Note: I have asked this question multiple times, and I have got similar cards each time - some pleasant or mild warning/hiccup cards and then one horrible card at the end. So this reading is an example of what I have been pulling from my cards.

Note 2: I am biased about this tour. I do want it to go smoothly and for things to go well for The King, in part because of his health and in part because I am sick to my gut of activists hijacking events like this and twisting them for their own agendas.
Interpretation: Pleasant or minor irritations at first, and then a body blow at the end
Card One: The Page of Swords in reverse
Pages are messengers, and Swords are about thoughts and sometimes communications. It especially applies to communication via social media. The Page of Swords is one of my gossip cards and it can be very spiteful, in an immature kind of way - gossiping over mean things and not really realising the damage you are causing. Here the card is in the reverse, so the nasty gossip side of it is strengthened. It indicates negative messages being sent out via social media, or just the media in general (not PR - that is wands - but supposedly unbiased articles that are anything but unbiased).
The energy from this card is of bad press or mixed press. The King's tour is not going to be covered in only glowing terms. I have seen this already in the Australian press, and it remains to be seen how much, if any, is picked up by the international press. I also think there is a contingent of people lurking online ready to use The King as publicity to push their cause, whatever that cause may be. So if The King expects glowing reviews or not to be misinterpreted in the press, he is going to be disappointed. People are going to use him for their own agenda, and the coverage of his tour will not be unbiased.
The Page of Swords can also refer to new ideas, or innovative ideas, which could reference The King's visit to the CSIRO cancer researchers on this tour. If so, the response to that visit is most likely to be mixed.
Note: This card has come up repeatedly in my readings, from both decks of cards that were used.
Card Two: The Two of Pentacles
This is a card about balance, especially balancing your resources. Pentacles represent material things, including your body. The energy of this card is of The King balancing his physical needs against the activities he wants to attend. The tour has already been cut down a lot to accommodate those needs, but things may need to be changed on a day to day basis to keep The King in good health. The message here is for The King to watch his health, to make sure things are balanced and he e.g. gets enough rest, to ask for activities to be shortened or to leave early if he needs to do that. As an aside, I hope they have fixed the itinerary so he is not travelling back and forth between Sydney and Canberra all the time. Aside from the carbon emissions involved, travel is exhausting and if they can minimise the travel involved it will be better for The King.
Card Three: The Ten of Swords
This is what I mean by a horrible card at the end. I've has this card come up in multiple readings, and if not the 10 of Swords it is the Three of Swords (heartbreak) or the Seven of Swords (the thief card, dodgy business). Ahem. Anyway, back to the reading..
The Ten of Swords is a card of betrayal, of hitting rock bottom, of ruin, failure, being victimised etc. Something is going to happen that really hurts The King. This is the last card of the reading so this will most likely happen towards the end of the short tour, but that is not definite. The energy of the card is of betrayal - of The King being betrayed and stabbed in the back by actions from a source that he did not expect. This may be the media turning on him, given the Page of Swords reversed at the start of the reading, or it may come from another source. It could be something private as opposed to something public. Something is going to happen that will be like a knife through The King's heart.
I drew a clarifier for this, asking what is the ten of swords about, and I drew the Two of Cups in reverse, which is another card that has appeared in multiple readings on this topic and across both decks I have used (as has its major arcana version, The Lovers). The Two of Cups is about partnerships, romantic, family, business etc, and in the reverse it indicates a breakdown in the partnership. There is going to be a parting of ways while the King is on tour - between two people, or between two organisations, or between a person and an organisation etc. This parting will be unexpected in its announcement, and it will hurt The King. I'm not getting anything else from the cards.
Underlying Energy: The Moon in Reverse
The Moon is a card of secrets, illusions, things not being as they appear. In the reverse, some of those secrets are going to come to light. We are going to get secrets being exposed on this tour. They may be small things, or things that happened long ago, as per the article in the Australian mainstream media that I have linked below, or they may be bigger secrets with more serious consequences.
Conclusion:
It's mixed news. It looks like the tour will go fairly well for the King, with the media doing their usual 'stir things up for click bait' articles, as long as he makes sure to balance his activities with the rest he needs for his health. I am saying fairly well as I'm not getting any major indicators of disaster in the first two cards - their energy is more of irritations than absolute disasters.
However, during the tour, there will be an event or events (I hope it is only one) that that will involve the breaking of a partnership, that will be like a knife to the heart of The King. This event will hurt The King very deeply.
Underneath the tour is the energy of secrets coming to light, which may be small ones (as per the article below), or there could be bigger secrets coming to light that form part of the betrayal energy from the Ten of Swords.
Article I mentioned in the reading, on the royals page of Nine Honey (the celebrity/entertainment/gossip section of Channel Nine News) as at 12.16am 18th of October 2024.

Why Improving Your IELTS Score Can Expand Global Opportunities
The IELTS exam is more than just a language proficiency test—it’s a passport to international education, global careers, and migration success. Scoring higher on the IELTS not only reflects your command of English but also strengthens your profile for top-tier universities, immigration bodies, and global employers. For aspirants looking to explore opportunities abroad, understanding the value of improving your IELTS score is crucial.
This article explores how a strong IELTS performance can open doors across countries, industries, and educational systems—and why dedicating time and strategy to your preparation truly pays off.
The IELTS Score: A Global Benchmark
Universities and colleges across the UK, Canada, Australia, the US, and many other countries rely on the IELTS Score as an objective measure of your English ability. Institutions often set minimum band requirements—usually between 6.0 and 7.5—for admissions into undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
In competitive programs like business, healthcare, or law, a slightly higher score can set your application apart from others. Unlike exams such as the gmat exam or mcat exam, IELTS applies universally to all disciplines, making it a foundational requirement for global education.
Improve Scores, Broaden Choices
A higher IELTS band score doesn't just meet eligibility criteria—it expands your options. For instance, while a university may accept a 6.0 band, achieving a 7.5 might qualify you for scholarships, advanced coursework, or research opportunities. The same applies in immigration systems like Australia’s points-based PR structure, where a higher score in IELTS increases your overall point tally.
Understanding the full IELTS Pattern can help you pinpoint which sections need improvement. Whether it's boosting your listening comprehension or writing essays with more structure, each score increase can dramatically improve your global prospects.
Better IELTS Score = More Work and Visa Opportunities
In addition to education, a good IELTS score opens doors for international work permits and professional licensing. Healthcare professionals, engineers, and teachers are often required to demonstrate advanced English proficiency for licensing exams and job placement. Countries like Canada and the UK set clear language requirements as part of visa or job application processes.
Similar to how candidates prepare for industry-specific tests like the lsat exam for law or the gre exam for graduate study, investing in your IELTS preparation is critical if you want to maximize your career mobility.
Practical Steps to Improve Your Score
Start by reviewing the IELTS Syllabus and focusing on sections where you scored lowest in mock tests. Supplement your studies with reliable IELTS Books and follow tested IELTS Preparation tips. Practice consistently, take full-length tests under timed conditions, and seek feedback for your writing and speaking modules.
When you’re ready, complete your IELTS Registration and choose the most convenient IELTS exam dates to stay aligned with your academic or immigration deadlines.
Final Thoughts
Improving your IELTS score isn’t just about getting a band number—it’s about unlocking new possibilities across borders. Whether you're aiming for admission into a top university or applying for international jobs, a higher IELTS score equips you with the credentials you need to stand out.
MSM Unify continues to support test-takers by offering updated exam insights and student guidance for global journeys. Also read: Understanding the Full Structure of the IELTS Pattern for Better Scores

Study in Canada: A Future-Focused Journey for Indian Students
Introduction
In the modern global academic landscape, Canada has emerged as a top destination for Indian students. With its diverse culture, high-quality education system, globally recognized universities, and transparent immigration pathways, Canada represents more than just a study-abroad option—it offers a complete lifestyle and career-building experience.
This blog explores why Indian students are increasingly choosing to study in Canada, which universities in Canada are best suited for them, and how this choice can lead to long-term academic, professional, and personal success.

Why Study in Canada?
Canada's appeal goes far beyond its beautiful landscapes and polite culture. Here are several key reasons Indian students are making the move.
1. World-Class Education System
Canadian universities are globally recognized for their academic excellence, cutting-edge research, and practical approach to learning. Degrees from Canadian institutions carry significant weight in international job markets and postgraduate admissions.
2. Affordable Compared to Other Western Countries
While not the cheapest, Canada is relatively more affordable than countries like the US, UK, or Australia. With careful budgeting, part-time work opportunities, and scholarships, many Indian students find Canadian education both accessible and sustainable.
3. Work While You Study
International students in Canada can work up to 20 hours per week during the semester and full-time during breaks. This flexibility allows students to gain valuable experience and supplement their living costs.
4. Pathway to Permanent Residency
One of the most unique benefits of studying in Canada is the well-defined route to permanent residency (PR). After graduation, students can apply for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) and eventually transition to PR through programs like Express Entry or Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs).
