I like to think that post canon, Lance is able to work through his grief (which he has a physical reminder of on his face) by making his own modifications to his body. I easily imagine him getting ear piercings, tattoos, etc.

After a while of this, he gets Shiro in on it (who obviously has his own body-control trauma), and they ask the whole team to get matching tattoos. Everyone gets their bayards. Keith and Lance get theirs on opposite wrists (so when they hold hands they touch), Hunk on his shoulder, Pidge on the side of their neck, Shiro over his heart. Coran gets a tattoo of the castle, and one of a juniberry flower. He finds human body modification culture extremely interesting and will not stop laughing while getting tatted to everyone’s delight.

i think lance's microbangs were a mistake

no, literally. i think shortly before they left earth lance had a stress-induced episode at the garrison and chose to resolve it by taking back some control & decided to give himself a chic new look (personal experience)

hunk woke up at 3 am to lance silently trimming his hair with craft scissors by dim lamplight in front of their little shared mirror, plastic bag strung across his wrists to catch the hair fallout

lance wasnt allowed to have or use scissors unsupervised after that

Voltron but The Paladins except Shiro are all trans girls and Allura has afrocentric features.Keith is Katherine Kitty with her nickname a gag on how hardcore and broody she is,Lance is Morgan as in referenced to Morgana since Lance the name sounds like Lancelot and Hunk is Babe to keep the theme.Pidge remains completely the same,Adam lives and Lotor gets his shit rocked and merked.The series ends with Queen Allura in New Altea as a space solarpunk kingdom and her happily after with her three butch wives
