ai opposition seems to me a fear of stealing - of things you can't be deprived of (art style, voice, likeness)

my opinion on 'what sort of ai creation is ethical' is 90% 'who give a shit' and 10% 'the kind where people who put the labor in to make the ai are fairly compensated - and this does not include people who made [past tense] the training data'

but arcing over that is the belief that you should not tie your passion to your livelihood. creativity is a bad line of work, because when you work for someone else's standards, you're constrained, you aren't creating with true authenticity. don't fear automation. UBI now.

does anyone have a note taking app/website they like that i could use on desktop. specifically for advanced latin and greek classes where i have to take notes on vocab and grammar in a given text. ideally something i can use offline that doesn't try to get me to subscribe to anything (i don't necessarily mind a paid app if it's a one-time purchase but i cannot abide the constant attempts to upsell me).

i am once again getting excited over stuff that isn’t even confirmed lmao but what if hypdream has a similar story format to arb s1 where it’s split into six separate stories centred around the divisions where the final boss of each story is the evil version of the division so you have to strategise how to defeat the divisions with the characters you have unlocked like what if i have to beat bat with bat would evil kuukou have priority and his ability might go off before i can seal evil kuukou’s myself idk how jyushi’s ability works but can i negate the damage he supposedly can heal by reflecting his attack phase back at him with hitoya’s would the three of their attack stats combined be enough to beat them if evil kuukou’s ability can be used more than once—

it genuinely sucks so much how it feels like there's not a single place to safely post art anymore. it feels like any safe website just eventually veers into being in talks with things like midjourney or just allowing ai art on the site in general. i really don't want to start all over on a new website that i don't even know will stay up for that long

im surprised ppl who get irrationally mad at ai art also get absolutely raving mad abt chatting ai bc.. like.. those are chatbots theyre not new at all..?? like. dgmw the bizarre applications of them by big companies are fucked but when it comes to just acting like some program simulating a conversation is scary and new... did you guys really never talk to any chatbots before now? there were several big popular ai chatbots people used in the 2010s (and i believe the 2000s too), i spent a long ass time talking to like, the 'god' chatbot or the one that insisted it was a human and you were the ai.. if anything the ones i see people posting about now are quite mild in how much weird shit theyre able to say

the most dubious thing is v6 letting u tune based on a preexisting singer (so long as ur using an ai bank; v5 & lower it won't work) which ive already seen people do without said persons consent. but even then its transposing style not really using the sampled person's voice which is essentially something u can do urself if ur dedicated enough

unfortunately i did start a new game since id been wanting to respec everyone for a while asnd doing it one by one seemed tedious and then i picked up my entire traveller chest and could sell it all off to no merchant (the tipping point) so anyways i will be right at the clown part again in another month
