i highly recommend collecting old shit as a hobby, especially practical and mildly affordable old shit
ive been getting into pyrex like very passively because its so cute and its so so so durable and unlike a lot of other vintage cookware its.......... still usable! and very rarely tainted with lead!
anyway i found out today my inherited set of vintage corelleware has a corresponding pyrex pattern from the 70s and im being sooooooooooo normal about it

istg as SOON as things clear up at work and school, the nonprofit i work with takes a fucking nosedive

Work was so scary yesterday I don’t wanna go today…..
#the managers are infighting which makes everything so hard cuz they want different things#and if you listen to one you’re ignoring the other and then they get mad#also it was Good Friday#so all the god fearing kind merciful benevolent Christians were out buying their fucking hams and shit#which meant LITERALLY everyone got screamed at at least once#one guy literally started recording my coworker as she was trying to apologize for daring to ask if he needed help and followed her around#and when the gm was told he literally shrugged and was like well what are you gonna do#and I know today is gonna be just as fucking bad#I hate religious holidays I hate Protestant Christians truly some of the most evil people on the planet#biggest fucking hypocrites of all time and Jesus would hate you#it’s so ironic being taught as a child#that so many of the people thinking they were going to Heaven were actually going to hell because their beliefs were wrong or all talk#and the people telling me that were talking about themselves but with zero fucking awareness#and then alllllllll of these ppl come out of woodworks around religious holidays#to psychologically torture me and all my coworkers for like a week straight#only ramping it up further and further the closer to the holiday we get#kaz rambles

was just getting bummed about my project because i thought about alllll the fucking background characters i will have to design and was like “i think i’m going to have to bail on ever making it a full project, it’ll have significant parts that have to stay unmade and i’m going to have to be okay with that” and goodbye yellow brick road came on the radio. truly i am the main character
#unless i got volunteers who could match my crazy. but i’m not crazy enough to think there are ppl who would want to do this for free#like i’d need help with 1) bg character design 2) background character modeling and rigging 3) side character design 4) side character#modeling and rigging 5) background modeling 6) prop design 7) prop modeling 8) allllllllll the animation 9) alllllllll the compositing#10) everything man everything. making a whole series is a lot! even the storyboarding is gonna take me uhm a LONG time. 11) storyboarding.

I'm at that stage where I can so clearly, vividly see all the scenes. I can connect all the dots. It's all coming together. But my god it takes so long to write. That I just end up. Not doing it.
#I know how chapter 2 opens. I have *several* pages of story details that are like very specific plot points/scenes/details#I can see it all#it's like having alllllllll the ingredients for some big complicated recipe out on the counter and you're excited#and then you look around the kitchen and go omfg holy shit look at all this shit I'll never get this baked#I will though. I know I can. I just need to break it down. like I do when I'm baking lol. one step at a time. it's gonna be fine.#I just wish I could do like an I dream of genıe blink/nod and poof! it would be written! in the word doc! all done!#i write sometimes
