🎙️ I talk to only a few people regularly but the ones I definitely talk to the most are @shiningxfates and @diistortion. Both of whome play incredible characters and bring so much of their world to life when talking to me. I adore the both of them so much, especially getting to scream about the AUs that we have created. I hope you both know you very much brighten my day when I get a notification from you!

Honest Review of Fields of Mistria 10/10

I bet you're thinking, this is just another Stardew Valley, and I would be lying if I said that wasn't my first thought as well. However, I was so wrong! Fields of Mistria is far from Stardew and it all starts at the beginning.

You arrive in Mistria after an earthquake that shakes the townsfolks to their core, no pun intended. They of course have asked you to help and in return have given you a plot of land to grow crops and raise farm animals. You think all of this would be overwhelming, but Fields of Mistria takes it slow and teaches you everything you need to know in an unconventional tutorial. This tutorial takes a few in game days to complete through multiple different quests, but by the end you'll have all the tools you'll need to help the town as well as yourself.

While you are doing the normal farming sim gameplay: chopping trees, breaking rocks, fishing, and catching bugs, you learn about the mysterious magic that is in the land. This magic is tied to everything you do. So, the more you chop, break, fish, and catch the more magic that is stowed upon you. Eventually, you'll learn some pretty cool things with this magic, but I won't tell you what it is, so I don't ruin any surprises.

Just like many farming sim games, you'll be interacting with the townsfolks of Mistria and completing quests for a majority of them. These quests don't have a time limit so you can get them done as quick or as slow as you want. There is literally no pressure. I do recommend doing them in a timely manner however, to not only increase the town level, but to also boost your relationship with many of the romanceable characters, because let me tell you... they are HOT!!! You will not have a hard time picking a future husband or wife, or maybe you will because the options will be too hard to pick from. Regardless, marriage is currently unavailable while I am writing this review so you will just have to admire them from afar.

Now it's time for my review... 10/10 game HANDS DOWN and this is still just an early access game! Not only is this my first 10/10 game that I have reviewed, but this will also be my game of the year for 2024. From the inclusiveness, to the storyline, to the cute graphics, and to the gameplay itself, it really has it all. I absolutely love the customization for my character and the ability to change my appearance at any point. I adore the crafting and all the recipes that are currently in game. The farming is simple and easy but still enjoyable. Mining is fun with a small challenge of defeating creatures as you go further down in the mine. Raising animals is adorable and the ability to breed rare colors is exciting. The quests keep me engaged in the game and give me a purpose. With all of that though, my favorite part of the game has to be decorating the farm and my house. I cannot get over how cute everything is, the number of different items there are, and just the ability to be able to decorate it anyway I want.

So, if you are looking for a new farming sim game, this is the one! Best part... it's so reasonably priced at $13.99USD!!! I really can't recommend this game enough!

Jay has a way of making Paz so expressive despite the fact he's covered head to toe in armor and -understandably- unwilling to take it off. ⭐️ ― convincing portrayal of a canon character This feels like such a silly question to me! I am such a huge advocate for canon divergence that I feel my standard for convincing is low? Like, if you're going for canon compliant, sure, but even AUs can drastically change how a character behaves, just due to nature vs nurture. A different environment or circumstance will yield a different person so as long as you do your homework and show your work, that's convincing enough for me. That being said, I really do enjoy @cloudhymn's portrayal of Dan Heng very much. Nine's really grasped his stoicism and I can so easily look at their portrayal and say "that's Dan Heng" without hesitation. I'm very much looking forward to writing with them more!

── Spük has a really amazing way of writing Tarhos and Danny in ways that both treat them as humans but also does not dance around the atrocities both of these characters have done. Both of these characters are expanded upon in a realistic way that fits both of their personalities. It also ties together loose strings for their lore - particularly in regards to Danny's lack of mother and Tarhos' complicated relationship with violence.

── This goes without saying, if you're on my blog you've seen Spük's writing at least a few times a week LOL - his writing is really inspirational to me and is a big part of the reason I write so much. He has a very blunt way of writing which I appreciate, but there's a good bit of prose sprinkled throughout that really makes it enjoyable and easily understood for me and my dyslexic ass.

── THISSSSS!!! Spük and I talk so much about their muses and headcanons about their lore and each one is like a gourmet meal served on a silver platter for me. This semi - relates to the point I made above about how he can tie together loose lore really well, Danny's lack of mother turning into abandonment issues and Tarhos' violence being a coping mechanism because its the only constant in his life? MAN - GOOOOOD fucking food all around. Don't even get me started on Karthus - LJFDGNFK HE'S SO ... SO ... Look I just love the entire idea of corruption through religion -- also modern verse being this bored asf British Ghost who smokes weed is the funniest shit to me idc.

── Spük puts so much effort into each piece of writing he does, and it really shines through in how his long - form threads read and connect together. I won't lie and say that I don't ocassionally re-read our threads and kick my feet like a schoolgirl but thats besides the point. Each interaction on his blog is thought out beautifully and carefully, and they genuinely have some wild twists and turns throughout.

── He has quite a few OCs on his blog, but Aita and Yijun are so wildly creative to me and they're both such deep, yet funny, characters. Aita's story is such a relatable tale for many of us, and I feel connected to him in how he feels in relation to his family and life's pressures. He just feels like a very realistic train-crash of emotions that have gathered up over time and I genuinely hope he can heal. Yijun on the other hand is a bitch and I also love them - the idea of turning a demon into a snake oil salesman that uses TikTok and social media as a way to form a pseudo cult is so fucking SMART and such an innovative way to explore demonic intentions. Plus he's just so ... mean? It's comical how bitchy he is - plus his relationship with Abel!!! AAAA!

@momijiba yeah i know milla, didn't think i'd shout you out huh? well you were wrong !! milla floods with talent. you have to see their graphics and writing and the way they invest everything into kazuha. . . i am always stopping to read the development of kazuren when it pops up on my dash and i am never disappointed. also milla is so generous and understanding and just a kind-hearted soul. i can never thank milla enough for the time we've spent together in vc and just in general. except i can't forgive the childe entrance, it haunts me forever.

Dressup games my beloved! From click-n'-drag pixel dolls on a Neopets fan site, then flash games, then Gaia Online, and now Flight Rising, Love Nikki, and Piccrews. If you give me a thing to play pretty pretty princess dressup in by GOD will I ever use it.

That's my way of saying I'm going to share some of my Love Nikki outfits and nobody can stop me.

I'd put more of the pics behind a cut but it doesn't seem to let me do that and have pics grouped together.

Alternately if you just want to go right to the Google Photos albums, I have one for regular dressup and then one for the bi-weekly competition. Highest rank I've ended at is 14th, highest I've seen myself at is 4th. I usually place in the top 5%.

I'll put my thoughts about if you should play after the outfits, but in short: don't. I have fun, but that's in huge part because of the group I'm in & having already invested a huge amount of time and a not insignificant amount of money. This is part of my daily routine and the sunk cost fallacy has me by the throat.

So, my thoughts on the game.

I really can't recommend it in...basically any capacity? Despite being two years younger, the international server (English, French, a couple other languages) is about 10-15 paid currency events behind the original server, the Chinese one.

We're literally two years behind on story updates. It takes ages for QoL updates-- including updating the interface and home screens. They avoided bringing a big spending event (aka a hell) for so long it became a meme within the LN Discord. There's a general vibe that the devs & the original company don't really care about players much. And the story, despite being surprisingly interesting, is hamstrung by iffy translation and, again, slow as hell updates.

Hard to get invested in a story when it only updates every 8-10 months and is told in awkward, broken English. I can't speak to how it reads in the other languages on this server, but I'd bet it's not great.

Some choices are genuinely baffling. Why aren't they doing reruns of events? That's functionally free money for them! The assets, translation, and everything else is already done. Yes, some of them come back for crafting, but plenty haven't. I've been waiting over two years for a certain event to come back! If it showed up tomorrow I would complete it in a heartbeat!

There's hell reruns too, which seem to have stopped entirely.

Edit: OF COURSE THERE'S AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR A HELL RERUN AS I WROTE THIS. STATEMENT RETRACTED, I FUCKING GUESS.

Yeah, it's great that we can actually save now instead of a constant stream of up to three events running concurrently! But this feels like it's too far in the other direction.

It feels downright janky at times, despite being big enough that there have been collaborations with Barbie and MOTHERFUCKING DISNEY! I don't think a dressup game can have a bigger jewel in their proverbial crown than official, licensed Disney princess outfits!

So, yeah. If you aren't already playing, don't start. It's not worth it. Admire from afar, maybe, but don't be suckered in.

Generation One: James Potter

You grew up a happy kid that loved telling jokes and making friends. You had two loving but no siblings which, even when you were surrounded by people, you felt lonely. You’re always loved sports and it's your dream to work in them professionally. As you grew up your mother would tell you stories of your soulmate, and you’re dreamed of finding them since you were 4.

Traits:Clumsy,outgoing, loyal

You have to get to level 5 or 10 of The Athlete career

 you have to master parenting

 you have to master charisma 

And you must master comedy

 you must not get married until you're an adult

 you must be mean to everyone you meet except for your  future spouse

Final Generation, 5:Sirius Black

You grew up in a madhouse having many siblings and two very opposite parents.  you always watch your You grew up watching your parents romance from afar admiring how they were soulmates. You were always the life of the party. 

You must play the actor career but you do not have to finish it

 your traits are active goofball and loves the outdoors

 you have to finish the party animal aspiration 

You must Master Mixology handiness and guitar

 you must throw at least part five parties in your life

 you must marry a calm Sim with the trait Socially awkward. 

And that's it you're done
