In an episode where they all got old we were shown that Kirk had much more problems with his memories than the other.

Do you think he has a higher risk of Alzheimer?

Do you think when he's old he starts to forget Spock?

Do you think that Spock out of great love keeps all the Kirk's memories in his head, even though it takes him great power to do so and it's constantly exhausts him, and then through mindmeld reminds him of his life?

Do you think at times when it seems hopeless Kirk smiles at him and say "Well I don't remember your name mister, but I think you're my love"

Do you think?

TGCF art from 2021 which were very experimental and very much something out of my comfort zone but am still so satisfied with

(gonna ramble more under the cut 👉 )

My main inspiration for these were definitely classic storybook illustration styles and the watercolor-like illustrations included inside the tgcf books which depict hualian's daily slice of life routines as seen below

I wanted to capture that feeling of warmth i got from reading but i also went with the storybook look because their relationship (and by extension broad strokes of the entire plot) really did feel like something out of actual myth or legend; i'm chinese indonesian and was raised surrounded by chinese culture + values so tgcf felt VERY familiar to me, it threw me back to my childhood reading or listening to tales about chinese deities, i'd say the storybook image definitely came into my mind pretty quickly bc of this

I find this style somewhat hard to replicate now but if i could or have the time to, i really want to continue the 'companion pieces to chapter titles ' concept i did with the last 2 pieces (which are of the same chapter title but i was just indecisive 😭😭), i even had 3 more planned based on my favorite titles before burning out back then

Then Yuan placed his hand on Qian.

He slowly drew him back to the moment.

His touch made Qian come back to him.

When San Pang questioned Qian's feelings for Yuan on that couch, Qian looked away and avoided the question, but here, with the bracelet that Qian gave Yuan to remember their bond proudly placed on Yuan's wrist connecting them, Qian must face what is between them.

He must face Yuan.

He didn't do that last time.

But Yuan is making sure he does it now because regardless of the answer, Qian can't keep avoiding the question.

We get, rightfully imo, pretty sad and somber and naval-gazey about Discworld and Sir Terry on the 25th of May but I need everyone who might be discovering this series through this annual outpouring of love and sadness to know that these books are mostly just really fucking funny. Like, they're heart-wrenching and poignant but really they can only pull that off because they're also the funniest books ever written. There's a line near the end of Hogfather that, when I read it, made me feel more deeply connected to, like, the concept of humanity then I ever have before, but the book was only able to deliver that because the rest of it is about what if Santa Claus got kidnapped and a Big Skeleton had to take over his job? It's a patently ridiculous series but that is absolutely also where it's power comes from.

I demand a whole filler arc from Toei that has absolutely nothing to do with the main story and the only characters are Sabo and Luffy going on a silly little adventure for at least 30 episodes. No angst. No pain. Only these two being silly and loving each other so much it's so fucking unbearable to watch you have to like, physically stop the show to breathe and then continue watching the two brothers being clingy and stupid and probably ending capitalism and slavery in a random country somewhere.

I hate it when the female lead has a perfectly good fiance/boyfriend and then she just leaves him randomly, occasionally at the altar, because this new guy is "true love"

I also hate it when they give the fiance/boyfriend huge red flags but the female lead doesn't leave until she's secured "true love"

Maybe what I really hate is emotional (and let's face it often physical) affairs...
