I love to infodump about voice actors but I forget to explain what I’m talking about and end up saying things like Amethyst and Glassboy are the old Omar. i’m assuming you mean one-shot when you say fanfic ?? if so, it depends. sometimes i’m in the mood for (and can read it in a short amount of time) a one-shot that consists of over 5k words (i once read three that had 30k words ..), but most of the time i prefer headcanons/drabbles/blurbs, or a shorter one-shot of like 1-2k words :)

smirk  is  wound  tight,  as  if  someone  had  placed  two  tuning  keys  at  the  corners  of  his  mouth  and  started  to  crank.  there  was  an  attempt  to  hide  his  laughter,  not  a  good  one,  but  an  attempt  !  nasally  chuckles  would  surface  and  recede,  eventually  giving  way  to  the  futility  of  an  oncoming  belly  laugh.  he  at  least  gave  the  courtesy  of  trying  (  even  if  it  was  all  part  of  the  bit  itself  )  satoru  would  give  a  final  long  exhale,  signifying  the  end  of  his  theatrics.  he'd  pause  a  moment,  reflect,  and  then  turn  'round  the  fluorescing  screen  on  his  phone. 

beyond  the  glare,  there  was  a  reflection  of  satoru  -  fed  in  through  the  phone's  front  camera.  the  image  appeared  normal,  albeit  blown-out  due  to  the  quality  of  his  phone's  camera.  with  a  simple  swipe  of  his  finger,  satoru's  digital  representation  now  dawned  a  pair  of  floppy  dog-ears  -  replete  with  a  wagging  tongue.

"  woof  !  "  he  mimicked,  to  complete  his  bit.  he  waited  a  few  seconds,  expression  lingering,  for  a  response.  index  finger  held  high  (  indication  to  wait  )  he  swiped  back  through  his  phone  before  displaying  his  camera  roll  to  ryo. 

a  photo  of  ryo,  also  dawning  the  same  digital  canine-costume  satoru  had  just  prepared  for  himself.  "  look  !  you're  working  like  a  dog  "  expression  held,  once  more,  as  he  awaited  reaction.
