I'M FREEEEEEEEE
HI, EVERYONE. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, I'M ALIVE! :D
College applications have been kicking my gluteus maximus, and all I can say is, "Dam. I wish I had some of Jason Todd's schoolboy motivation."
My boi is the pure opposite of me. I sucked on the Reading Comprehension portion of the SAT. By my cat's fwuffy cheeks, I could go on DEBATES as to why my choice wasn't wrong, but noooooo... CollegeBoard be like: Heh. Take a look at this one word that shalt trip you harder than deez nuts, "totally."
Me: ...
Me: FU—
So yeah. College applications got me feeling like I'm tripping balls cuz I'm currently depraved of drawing after enclosing myself even harder than quarantine.
Okie. Imma scram. Gotta finish studying for my physics test tmr. Promise to post some art tomorrow tho!
Hope everyone has a great day! :D

@the-obnoxious-sibling wrote me such a wonderful fanfic for the OPexchange back in April and I've been dying to illustrate one of my favourite scenes from it ever since.
Again, a thousand thanks for the fic buddy, it brightens my day just to think back on it ヽ(・∀・)ノ

The Preferable Alternative- Prologue - Part 1
Start (you are here) - Previous (none) - Next
New au. I can't explain the main thought behind this without spoilers. And since i'm jumping straight into a multi-part comic, i won't be giving out any.
Basically vibes for this is that it's kinda creepy and maybe suspenseful with eventual hurt/comfort (if that doesn't make sense, im sorry, i have a hard time describing things). I'm also pretty mean to Donnie. Not "Donnie vs" mean, but unfortunately this idea wouldn't work with anyone else.
(for those that get anxious, like me. There is no main character death. (might not be death at all but we shall see. that depends on one character and even i'm not sure exactly what they'd do yet.) and no one's gets serious physical injuries. Definitely more hurt/comfort than plain angst. b/c that's how i roll. I can't do straight up angst.)
I'll write a proper summery once the prologue's done. I don't want to spoil it too much. For now, just know it's a PB&J duo story that happens during the 6 weeks before the Krang invasion.

Brienne said, "I remember a woman... she came from some place across the narrow sea. I could not even say what language she sang in, but her voice was as lovely as she was. She had eyes the color of plums and her waist was so tiny my father could put his hands around it. His hands were almost as big as mine." She closed her long, thick fingers, as if to hide them.
"Did you sing for your father?" Catelyn asked. Brienne shook her head, staring down at her trencher as if to find some answer in the gravy.
"For Lord Renly?"
The girl reddened. "Never, I... his fool, he made cruel japes sometimes, and I..."
"Some day you must sing for me."

May we allow you to self-indulgently point out some character design details/your processes with each of the L&L redesigns~?
Oooh, sure!
I had a lot of fun designing Iseul's family. First, I'm far too happy with the colour palette. I wanted to go for a variety of leaf colours so they range from dark brown to pale yellow. Also, I wanted them all to look related without looking identical. Iseul and Imohn share a similar face shape, but Iseul and Iraia share more facial features to show off their more similar personalities. Imohn essentially looks what Iseul considers to be a more responsible version of himself, with more in common with their queenly mother.
As a twin myself, I also wanted to put effort into making Sophie and Solaire look identical, but not exactly. Similar to my sister and I, Sophie is a bit more angular. As some further contrast (I haven't drawn it yet) Sophie's eyes are black opals where Solaire's eyes are white.
Saerys runs hot, so most of his outfits expose his arms or chest in some way, even in his armour. One downside of giving him markings is that I then had to cover them up with mesh in his modern outfit to be in anyway subtle.
Another fun detail is that Alain's hair has greyed/dulled since he was a child. Also the light has literally left his eyes.
(Excuse the underwear)
But finally, everyone gets scars! I enjoy adding small scars to battle-worn characters and I had a lot of fun with these guys. People have noted it, but the MC gets Lichtenberg scars from being struck by lightning at the start of the story. The Witch Queen has similar scars from her magic. Helena also has a black, magic-scarred arm. I love the way the story explores how Helena's magic both helps and hurts her, so I thought it'd be another fun way to show that pain and her duality: one arm scarred for magic, the other armoured for her swords. (On a silly note, Altea has a burn scar on her arm, not from the war, but a cooking accident. Totally not based on a real life story)
