I’ve come to admission that the gay agenda has a limit, natsby may be founded on the hard rock or the wet marshes, but after a certain point I don’t care what it’s founded on. When I came back to this narrative perspective I felt that it may be a fun and silly head canon that I still enjoy, but leaving the statement at “Nick was in love with Gatsby, and Gatsby loved him back” erases large parts of their characters, flaws, and foundations.

#huzzah. more ramblings of a dumbass #I could go into how Nick heavily dislikes Daisy Gatsby affair #but doesn’t stop it bc idk spineless bastard #(affectionately)#and thus also disliking the Gatsby persona #BUT at the same time absolutely being charmed by the Jay Gatz he is beneath the suav bachelor #and being a mix of both whenever he’s around Nick in public #we know they hung out often #since he was able to recognize when the mansion staff was replaced instantly #and the story of Cody wasn’t told in the timeline we see #but is mentioned to give clarity #with the excuse that it was told much later to Nick #so obvi Nick saw him as a good friend #and I’ll argue that Nick didn’t really have friends in New York #but I could be wrong #he had a fling with a woman at the office #hung out with Jordan quite a bit #was around tom and Daisy?#but clearly hung around Gatsby’s #I’m not entirely certain of Gatsby’s feelings towards Nick #he feels more like a timecapsule than a person #still living in the past #but that’s obvious #low hanging fruit and all
