took advantage of what may apparently be the last quiet qsmp night for a WHILE to watch through some day 1 vods, since i didn't hop on the train until mid april. holy SHIT there is gold in those metaphorical hills. one day i gotta make a compilation fr but it is so tedious the way i get clips.

Can I ask you about q!Trump? I didn't start watching Maximus's streams until he started the Theory bros. Not to mention the amount of vods I need to catch up on due to working when everyone streams. All I know about q!Trump is that he's the only egg to have lost both lives to neglect :/

So whats tragic about them is that q!Trump (I feel the need to clarify the "Q!" everytime i say this egg name for obvious reasons lol) is that he died so soon. In the short time he was alive he proved to be friendly and chaotic at the same time. He liked to play pranks and leave mines scattered around the server. If I'm not mistaken he was good friends with Dapper, Ramon and Leo. But the tragic thing, again, was that he barely got to experience the world. You could tell that he had a lot of potential.

But one of his parents abandoned him right away and Maximus did his best. This was before single parents could take the weekend off. Maximus entered the server almost every day but he failed one day and q!trump lost a life… but the second death was a little more tragic/frustrating because Maximus came back late from a party and tried to enter the server but his power went out . He couldn't do anything and his egg died alone, abandoned again by his other father.

Maximus was heartbroken. He mourned his son but unlike Quackity and Slime he didn't take it out with the other eggs. He blamed the federation (and also himself) and decided that he needed to protect the eggs. His son death is the reason Maximus is now a Theory bro.

Also, and this is aside Maximus and his son, q!Trump is the only egg that shows up in qsmp announcements, like for example:

I feel like the chat on kick is actually better than on twitch. Probably because you have to put in extra effort to go to kick and only people that like Sapnap a lot are going to do that. Also all the complainers and chat hoopers are left behind lol.

Also there is no ads on kick so not only are they not earning any money from me being there. They are actually loosing money. Because they pay Sapnap (I'd assume) and also pay for the servers.

I think Sapnap could actually have an admittedly small but good impact on the site. Could you imagine a young person raised in a conservative environment. They go to kick because that's manly and alpha, they click on Sapnap's valorant stream. They see him be manly, play shooting games, be confident and brag about money. And then they hear him unashamed admit he wears makeup like it's no big deal. They see some in chat ask if he likes gay people and see his response "yeah of course". They see Sapnap joke about taking his male friends on dates. They see him admit he doesn't know things, see him admit he is wrong, see him openly loving his friends.

I'm aware of kick problems and I think they will bankrupt soon anyway like the other sites. Also I don't think Sapnap will stay there after his contract ends.

I personally don't want to make an account and also I'm still drowning in unwatched vods so I slowly catch up on them instead of watching him live there (and I can skip valorant on the vods 🙏)

I wish more people on twitter would think like you because when they hold on to their point, they look like fools. some reflection is actually far more important in situations like that and admitting you were wrong at first shouldn't be something impossible for them.. but it's twitter, so what am i even expecting :/

I like a good horror series. I'm very much a scaredy cat, but I try my best to push through just because the genre can be so interesting. As I was watching Genloss (through vods because my schedule didn't line up to catch the first two episodes live) I thought to myself "hey, this isn't very scary. It's pretty campy, actually."

But those little moments of lucidity and the ending scene of EP 2 started amping things up big time- and the last episode??? Like, holy fuck???

It was so captivating, and unsettling- and the last choice was so gut wrenching. I love it so much, and I can't wait to see the YouTube vod (since there's supposedly extra stuff) and to see how gen 2 pans out !

I watched all of MythicalSausage's stream live today.

(Except for a few minutes here and there where I had to get up and do other things, but for all of those I paused it then came back and watched on double speed until I was caught up. I was in the chat, live, as much as I could be.)

This is the VOD. I recommend. But I think part of the experience was seeing it live. Spoilers under the cut.

So, if you've seen his most recent episode, you'll know it ended with him trapped in yet another alternate dimension by Evil Sausage.

(If you saw the end of Jimmy's recent stream, the one he stopped suddenly because he realised he had the wrong meeting time, maybe you saw the moment Sausage told Jimmy a quick secret, changed his voice and said "I'm not the Sausage you know" to which Jimmy ran away, wondering if it was Xornoth or something.)

At the start of this stream, Sausage said there would be no lore, that it was strictly a material gathering stream in preparation for an upcoming big build. Chat asked him how he'd escaped, and his response? "What are you talking about? What do you mean, escape? No lore here, this is a no lore stream!" Or words to that effect.

The music was different, during this stream. Instead of Sanctuary's usual tunes, it was dramatic, sometimes dark, reminiscent of season 1!

He didn't go in the church, saying it was closed for renovations. He loved the dark tower, and could go in there fine. He forgot the names of Sanctuary's people. Eddie and Maria were "protected" by magical iron bars over all the exits of their house. Sunny was offline, being used as a battery for a future technological project...

It was pretty obvious very quickly to chat what was going on. We all called it out, that it was Evil Sausage in disguise. He continued to say this was a no lore stream. He started work on some interiors, taunted us with a tale of a dark sorcerer defeating a wizard and destroying a dragon egg, continued to deny that anything strange was happening at all.

fWhip interrupted, with exciting news about the Minecraft update! He asked for help with the new structure at spawn, and Gem came as well and there was plenty of messing around out of character as friends, but also I think he was actually fully in character as much as possible? Like, he somehow simultaneously was just himself hanging out with them while also giving vibes of being Evil Sausage Pretending To Be Sausage!?

At 1000 likes, he promised to tell us a secret. We all knew what it would be. I have never before asked fellow viewers in chat to like the stream I'm watching, and I will never again unless this specific kind of situation happens again. I don't normally catch streams all the way through like this. This is so exciting!

Fully in-character, he nevertheless involves chat, it's like being in a pantomime almost, only the only one of those I've ever actually been to I was too young to appreciate, and now I understand, it's another form of collaborative storytelling!

Also btw while the gang was messing around, fWhip showed him a shulker head and was surprised he didn't recognise it, and Jimmy said the name Hermes. So that plot point is looming closer!

When the likes goal was reached, it was time. The tension rose as he gradually prepared to tell us the secret. Chat was racing past, everyone screaming, we all knew what was coming, and yet...

That music box, from the previous stream featuring Evil Sausage. The game screen is hidden, and sound effects play. Then, his voice. Distorted. Our suspicions confirmed. It's him!

Then, the screen comes back, and he hasn't changed his skin! Evil Sausage is still fully disguised as normal Sausage! Then he sends us to where the real one is trapped, the music is Sanctuary's again, we tell him what's happened and then suddenly we're brought back! Evil Sausage goes to his dark Mythland, where for some reason it seems like the grey collared (evil?) Bubbles is trying to stop him from reaching the summoning circle! But he reaches it anyway, does some more magic, and... That's it. Apparently... the real Sausage is now permanently trapped six months in the past. Before even Bubbles or Eddie appeared to help him, let alone the Staff that allows him to travel between dimensions. (It also seems Evil Sausage has lost the Staff, and there was a "joke" at the start of the stream that the Staff is "sentient", so perhaps there's something there...)

We're sent back to Sausage, trapped in the past, for the end of the stream. He plans to escape the only way he can: to live out those six months again! We will see him again, soon, but for him it'll have been half a year...

I just can't describe how exciting this stream was! To watch the story unfold, live, able as an audience to interact with the character, it was so amazing! I do prefer videos to stream VODs for length, but I hope I manage to catch more streams live like this in the future if I can, it was so fun!!!

eurghhghgh this gets a little long but i'm not putting a read more line cuz i put TLDR at the bottom and i want that shown.

i'm starting to think uploading weekly is more difficult than i thought now that i'm trying to also work on other things during the week, i haven't had time to work on any of the companion fics for gom or any of my other projects, and i think GOM is suffering a bit for it [last week i did just basic sketches for the chapter bc i was struggling to get everything done in time]

and that means i also don't really have time to stream if i want to draw while you guys watch, since i stream for a few hours at least [the one i did the other day was about six hr, you can see the highlight reel here, since the vod will eventually be deleted as all vods disappear after like 7 days. i just trimmed off the start and end where i'm talking nonsense and saved that as my highlight reel. sorry about the audio being a bit funky for my mic i'll bring my laptop closer to me next time].

But also the biggest thing [on top of wanting to complete more chapters and make a buffer]: i really want to reread the entirety of Ghost of mine so i can check for errors or inconsistencies, all i could do last week was listen to the tts of 12-16 while trying to get a drawing for 17 prepared, and i couldn't fix all the errors i heard since i was just trying to fix the timeline errors as a minimum before posting the chapter. the extra time would give me more time to proofread Ghost of Mine carefully, as well as give the new chapters and art the attention it deserves. [and...actually take care of my irl self better, it's hard to find time for things like cooking and cleaning beyond what i do for the older man i live with].

So what i'm trying to say is although i didn't think i needed it before, i am changing my mind about it now. so i think it's a good idea for me to upload every two weeks instead of one...at least until i (hopefully) am able to catch up to the point of having stuff prepared ahead of schedule.

i swear on my god awful adhd that i will sit down with my sprint bot [a bot that times me and tracks my word count, not an AI], and write with no distractions at least once a day [unless i have things that i am forced to do and can't get to it, but i can get a lot done when i'm using the sprint bot to make myself focus]. So i will hopefully be making the two week change worth it by getting a lot done and being able to return to weekly updates when things are less cramped and there's stuff prepared properly ahead of time.

I hope that's alright with all of you, cuz i love working on gom it's just a lot for me to get done in a week with everything else i want to do!!

just imagine if i had more time i might be able to start posting TWPT along side gom [it's the jiang cheng lan xichen companionfic for GOM that i haven't had time to write as of late, i have it completely outlined but i just don't have time to write it anymore rn. check it out on the masterpost for my MDZS projects]. or the MXY companionfic as well, which i already started but i can't keep working on because of time as well.

basically there's a lot going on for gom besides the main fic that i haven't been able to get to and it just continues to get further behind in those aspects because i can't get the time for it. so really, i need those two weeks and i'm only just now admitting it to myself that i can't push out updates every two days like i used to and especially not now with these other projects and wanting to branch my stuff out more. There's so much i wanna do! lmao

TLDR; i want to change to bi-monthly updates for GOM so that i can increase my quantity and quality of all projects and future updates properly. I appreciate your amazing patience and i hope to make this change worth it!

i will always update you guys if i make changes like this. i can't leave the changes in your hands completely, but i will continue to upload on sunday since that's the day you guys like! expect the next GOM update on the 23rd instead of the 16th, and every two weeks from the 23rd.

i am glad that some ppl can find the final disc confrontation as a solid ending to the dsmp, at least for tommy and tubbo, but i can't.

to me it isn't a satisfying ending, sending dream away to prison with so many loose threads and empty promises.

i think there's genuinely good stuff that would come from events thereafter for their characters as well, and i don't think revivebur/cwilbur is as bad as some people think he is. i think the problem is genuinely the timeframe everything happened in and how because of that it made things happen that wouldn't have or things that should've didn't happen.

i think, especially direct post revival, revivebur was a great character and i think the potential between him and ranboo could've been great, and the foundations they laid for their characters to learn something from each other was very very well done and good, it just never came to fruition, and wilbur had to write a book to catch us up on things no one else would do.

i think that some of the closure tommy had begun to get, such as slowly opening up to people like quackity or wilbur or his friends, or doing things he loved again was a very good thing for him.

i think that even some of the tragedies post disc finale were immensely interesting, like our glimpse into limbo and everything that would happen between sam and tommy's relationship, etc.

genuinely i think there were good things, good plans, and it all worked out when they worked together to do them. even the lore over the last few days, i think, although not ideal and clearly rushed, still has very good elements to them and because they were communicated through and talked out, it shows.

i just wished this all happened like, 6 months ago. i wish the finale for wilbur and tommy would've happened back in spring or summer or even earlier, if these 3+ month gaps in between streams didn't happen, because i think that's what really killed it. the missteps in writing and flaws wouldn't be as obvious if things had continued to happen consecutively. i think there are lots of problems with the lore and things that have happened over the last few months but i genuinely think it's not the writing that is the problem but the timing. it's like if you had a tv show season that was supposed to run for 20 episodes but they only aired maybe 5 a year. you forget what happened last time, the details, you've lost the hype and excitement, or you've analyzed the last bit of content so much that your expectations will simply never be met.

i, unfortunately, don't find the final disc confrontation as an easy fall back. i can't just pretend that that was the ending, because to me, it doesn't conclude it well narratively. in the grand scheme of things it wasn't as huge a win for tommy and tubbo, not after all they went through. dream didn't die he went to prison. there were still people around that hated them. he lived under the pretense that wilbur would've been revived, and if it would've just ended there would've been so much that they never got to talk through that they eventually did.

im glad some people can do that, but i cant. and i dont know how the finale for tommy and tubbo's characters will go tomorrow, i've only been watching clips and reading recaps and once they're available, i've been skipping through vods.

i don't know how much hope i have for tomorrow. tommy once said he wanted us to have a good ending. by the way it looks it looks more like they're setting up a promo for dsmp s2 and i hope to god it's not that. i hope something happens. i hope that something, anything lets tommy not die tomorrow.

regardless of how it does end, i'm glad it's over, and i hope that they can do new, brighter things in the future. i hope they make new smps or bring back other ones. i hope people stop hounding their chats about the dream smp and lore and let them play minecraft without mentioning it. i hope they can play other games, bring back old series, play with more people they havent much, god fuck anything please.

i hope that what they do next they can view as having fun, and not something they do out of obligation or for job reasons.

i hope they can have fun after the dream smp and that we get content that they want to show us, and that they enjoy creating with as much passion they did 2 years ago.

yeah when i say that a wedding is nigh impossible i don't mean that it couldn't be pulled off even against the monumental odds. like. ccquackity has done some masterful storytelling over the past year and karl and sapnap were brilliant in the november lnv stream. like ccsapnap Is very good at making emotional beats Hit but yeah he's not the type i'd see writing reddit meta for his character anytime soon.

sapnap has to care for dream having been tortured. if not for the sake of minimal character consistency (he cares about dream. the guy. best friend. Family) for the sake of the story because. dude would it be narratively unsatisfying if it didn't cause any tensions between him and quackity. i could see the situation to be similar to the situation shortly after wilbur was revived where he was angry at dream (quackity) and yet didn't linger on it Because of his affliction with dream (quackity). but i've get to see csapnap make any threats to disembowel one of his fiances.

and yeah that's exaclty what i meant when i said that im conflicted about but totally respect people who use the terms interchangeably, there are definitely parts of for example exile that would fit the technical definition of torture and sam and quackity's pictures are literally printed next to the text book definition of abuse of power. also "I just automatically think I'm gonna get stones thrown at me whenever I mention c!DiskDuo" pov you are literally every dsmp blog who has ever engaged in the disk-horse. ever

i see what you mean, the fall of las nevadas is going to be more fun as a team effort than just a soloplay from dream, but like, i really think that's what everything is developing towards, everyone slowly leaving with- or without cdream's help, why else would we have gotten the scene with foolish or why else would ccdream made it so clear to show that csam was beneath him now. i mean, we haven't had any indication that he cares less about quackity than before the prison but their relationship is certainly strained to hell and back from the whole partners in geneva convention violation thing and from sam lying to quackity about dream's escape, to be honest if next to fiances and cdream conflict we could also get a confrontation between sam and quackity that would be great.

The image of c!Dream operating fully on spite plans and caffeine while c!Punz just wants to chill out two seconds and get them something to eat is sending me into hysterics at the end Punz just gives up and goes buy more McPuffys and has a slight breakdown because half the establishment is completely griefed and the burgers are sold out

Also c!Dream would totally be that type to have his food right in front of him and not eat it until it's way too cold and it's been like three hours because he was reading a book with pictures or something and c!Punz has to re heat the food because if it was for him c!Dream would just eat it raw and uncooked

Basically there's possibilities but there are one in 7.5 trillion oh also did you see that the new Las Nevadas code is "Quackity Ghost" and also the c!Tommy tribute video that's being made and the c!Wilbur final streams and cc!Ranboo straight up saying he doesn't really care to play in Minecraft servers anymore whatever the mess with cc!Bee.Duo is + the World Altering Event yeah I don't think this paints very well for all the doomposters in the fandom (Which is like 75% of the fandom)

I believe this shows of power were a thing for sure before the prison but that they got completely augmented after it

For why cc!Dream would want to show that beyond consistency in his character I wouldn't know I don't really like to assume everything is done with a written and planified motive behind it tbh because most often than not that's just not the case

Confrontation between just c!Quackity and c!Sam would keep me fed for weeks I guess he doesn't care less for him in the same vein that c!Dream Team still cares a lot all for each other but it's still become this tangled mess of trauma

I started off a hermitcraft main myself, from all the way back in season 4 through one Mumbo Jumbo and have been watching since. I did watch some evo too, through Netty, although I never rly mained it. I followed the hermits into the traffic series and poked my face into a littol bit of empires through pearl. Dsmp i poked my head into through Techno and various fan content (i'm looking at you, Deadpoint), although this was way way way after the finales, and I feel like I fell through into an active archeological dig site. I'm on the same page as you for the qsmp, really. I mostly have only watched Wilbur's streams tho and gain most of the rest of my knowledge through tumblr dash clips. Very much so a fly on the wall.

Anyway. Tango In The Hole is one of the most entertaining things ever tbf even tho i catch most streams on vod replay but tbh that's almost better cause I can listen to the Tango Noises as much as I want hahahah.

Oh wow!! Thats so cool you've been watching since s4! I didn't get into it at the time but I liked Mumbo's redstone tutorials and briefly watched a bit of a hermitcraft ep during s5 to see what it was and thought it was just a regular MC Lets Play. Okay, for all of you who don't feel like watching Miles RP as David

Here are some of my favorite quotes. Context may be added if I feel like it. Reactions are my goblin brain screaming. All of these came from a discord so if they don't make sense . . . see goblin brain comment.

In roughly chronological order:

David: "Teachers are sort of like camp counselors during the rest of the year."

The thing is David is absolutely up his own ass enough to think this.

David: "Trail mix is expensive!"

^ said to show he understands why not everyone can donate to the charity for teachers. Very adorable, am crying.

David's "ooooh" seeing one dude was extremely non-heterosexual. Fucking bicon. Him losing his mind that one of the arenas is called "Survey camp"

David: "A person's hitting me -- I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry this is just pretend!"

This is just canonically how David plays video games. Either this or he's unwilling to commit violence at all, but I'll defer to Miles.

David: "That's very goat of you!"

Spencer: "Is David popular amongst his campers?"

David: "I like to think so! There's only 3 staff members, so I'm definitely in everyone's top 3."

"That also means you're in the bottom 3."

David: "Well, I choose not to think of it that way."

I think the other person in the stream is named Spencer. Friend of Miles. I know literally nothing else about him and am not even confident on those facts.

Every time he says something so non-David in his David voice I die: "I have a lot of grenades!"

David: "Oh my goodness, would you look at this beautiful scenery! Can we hike that mountain?"

This is so goddamn cute. I am dying. Miles looked at his fans and said "they will eat tonight" and I am so relieved.

David: "Not to be a couple of Greedy Garys, but I say we get this [care package] and then I'll drop another one!"

The fact that Miles is grinning like a lunatic the entire time is very good. (Also if this is formatted badly then I'm sorry but not all that sorry. I'm doing my best and David would be proud of me.)

David: "Didja getim? Didja getim? didja getim? How 'bout now?"

Spencer: "I didn't get 'em."

David: "Well, you tried your best and that's all that matters."

He calls healing "a little health kiss." I'm not sure why but it's very important to me.

David: [while jumping to murder someone] "Hi! Scuse me!"

David: "Well you know what gang, we did our best. You don't always win the 3-legged race. You did a wonderful job!"

Then there's a bit where they talk about Spencer's time at summer camp:

David: "ooooh hand-holding's pretty serious!"

David is too pure.

David: [dreamily] "Did you fall in love, Spencer? A summer love?" [puts hands up to his face]

Then there's the fact that David/Miles gets to pick where they play each round, and he keeps insisting on going to the one called "Survey Camp" every single time because it has the word "camp" in it.

David: "Now, I don't like to disagree, but . . . I was thinking we could go . . . to Survey Camp!"

Spencer reminds him that technically since David's the one with the power to choose, his opinion is the only one that matters:

David: "Everyone's opinion matters. And my opinion is we're going to camp."

David just steamrolling over Spencer's interests is very good. There are these little selfish nuggets sprinkled in among the wholesomeness that really capture the full David experience.

David: "Well, he's climbing up . . . he's coming my direction . . . oh, he looks scary . . ."

Spencer: "Is he coming towards me?"

David: "Oooh, I don't know. I'm dead!"

The positivity is relentless. I think Miles said on twitter afterwards that this whole thing was exhausting and I can see why. Being David is no picnic . . .

David: "I have a question: do we have to shoot each other in this game?"

And then a few seconds later:

David: "I'm just wondering if maybe there's a way we can, you know, help others. Talk through our issues."

And a few seconds after that:

David: "I was asking if they wanted to be friends in the game!"

I believe that moved killed him, too. Precious.

Also we're interrupting the real Miles!David content to share something my friend suggested to me while I was watching this and giving her quotes; she said that maybe David just calls everything camp to make life more fun, and then sent me this imaginary exchange that actually killed me all the way to death:

David: Gwen Santos would you go to marriage camp with me

Gwen: I'm going to have to change this story when I tell everyone

It made me laugh quite a bit.

Anyway, back to the video!

Spencer: "How do you sign up for [Camp Campbell]?"

David: "Well, um, you can fax, uh, an application to CameronCCampbell@hotmail.realwebsite.noreallyrealwebsite.com. And . . . you can know that myself and Gwen and Quartermaster and sometimes Mr. Campbell will do our best to make sure they get what they need! Which more than anything is love and support. And friendship."

Spencer: "How many dollars does this camp cost?"

David: "You know . . . it is, um . . ."

And then the conversation switches subjects and David breathes a sigh of relief.

Very shortly after this he changed his character from a woman (she was wearing a yellow shirt, which he liked because the campers wear yellow shirts) to "a Forward Scout with a positive attitude!"

"I like his style."

Spencer: "Does everybody abuse David verbally?"

David: "You know, sometimes people have harsh words. Mostly Max, and Neil, and Gwen, and Quartermaster, and Nurf."

Spencer: "Did you just list almost everyone?"

David: "Mmm . . . I'd say maybe a third."

Poor David. Somebody please protect him.

Spencer: "Yeah, I think people abuse David. I get that vibe. Or at least, I feel it in my heart. Like I wanna put ants in your bunk or something."

David: "Well, I think that says more about maybe some of the hurt you're carrying with you. And sometimes when people don't know how to process that, they act out. Do you want some trail mix?"

David just said his favorite part of trail mix is the raisins which is so cute. "They have a little bit of salt on them, which isn't typical for a raisin."

And he keeps telling chatters to watch their language.

David: "Who is my favorite camper? Aww, you know I couldn't pick a favorite! . . . But I know who has the most potential, even if he doesn't want to admit it."

I KNEW IT!!!!!

I've been saying for years that David doesn't have a favorite and gravitates towards the ones he thinks need him the most AND I FINALLY GOT ONE RIGHT!

David: "Well you know, Gwen swears and that's okay."

David: [gasp] "The moss is growing on the north side of the rock!"

Every time he nerds out about weird shit in the game I gain 3 seconds to my life.

Spencer: "Did you get teabagged?"

David: "What's that?"

Spencer: "It's where somebody places their most intimate bits on you for . . . friendship."

David: [softly] "Oh, I don't know about that."

Spencer: "Sing 3."

David: [starts singing] "Bum-bum-bumblebee, bumblebee tuna, I love bumblebee, bumblebee tuna . . ."

Spencer: "Okay, please stop. I immediately regret this decision."

David: "Max said the same thing! One of my campers. And, uh, and my co-counselor, Gwen."

He's literally made of sunshine. I would die for this fictional man.

Spencer: "Are people at camp against their will? I feel like they are."

David: "No! . . . They don't always like it immediately, but it grows on them."

Spencer: "It sounds like they're there against their will."

David: "Well I just think that's a negative way of looking at it."

FWIW Spencer makes an excellent foil to David. Not as aggressive as Max or as dour as Gwen, but he brings a very . . . like, straight-man energy to the conversation. Like how a normal person would react to David IRL. I'd enjoy seeing these two interact more.

Spencer: "It's like your overpositivity is wanting me to balance it out with negativity."

David: "You know, I feel like that dynamic's pretty popular with me."

There's point near the last 20 minutes where either it got kinda boring or I just got too tired to keep track. But if there are any quotes you think I missed, please share them! Hey buzzy! I'm kinda going crazy with the amount of critical role content on your dash, cus I don't know a thing about this.... show? Rpg thing? Can you talk a little bit about it? It really got my attention!

OH! critical role is a dungeons and dragons actual play show. basically we get to watch a group of professional voice actors play dnd with a professional set up. mind you, it didn't always look this good, they've come very far from crappy cameras and audio and a cheap set but they revolutionized this very niche genre of entertainment and are now one of hundreds of dnd games being aired.

they just last week started their third campaign with brand new characters so it's a good time to start before there's an overwhelming amount of eps to catch up on. all their campaigns are set in the same world but set during different times. their first campaign was a traditonal fantasy campaign with the party vox machina, their second was more morally complex with troubled outcasts called the mighty nein, and this troupe is brand new. if you want to start watching you don't particularly need to watch previous campaigns but there'll occasionally be inside jokes and mentions of previous characters and npcs.

in between their main campaigns, they have multiple miniseries and oneshots they generally release during breaks, occasionally with other players and guest players as the game master. matt is our regular dm and he's incredible, his worldbuilding and his voice acting is absolutely incredible and so immersive. this club has everything. we have drama, comedy, suspense, tragedy, slow burn romance, found family feelings, wild plot twists, stressful cliffhangers, the occasional horror, political intrigue, adrenaline packed combat, stats for nerds, incredible acting and improv, and more

episodes go live every thursday at 7pm pacific time on twitch and youtube, and the VOD drops on youtube on the following monday. episodes run from 3-4 hours long on average, the longest being 7 hours for the campaign 2 finale, and campaigns on average are 114-124 eps. you can also listen to them on their podcast if that's easier, that's how i relistened to the first two dozen eps of campaign one (makes those eps a lot more palatable, but you do miss out on physical reactions and jokes, etc)

(word of note for campaign one. the first 27 eps are widely considered pretty rough because of the poor audio/video quality, the cast not used to streaming and being on camera like this so their jokes are a bit more raunchy and etc, and because of a player whose name we Do Not Speak who ended up being very toxic for multiple reasons and left the show. i personally always recommend giving them a shot because they're good introductions to the dynamics and they're very fun arcs before it starts to get Really good by ep 28 leading into an iconic arc which is being adapted in the upcoming animated series, the legend of vox machina. also, the whole campaign was part of the geek&sundry company before they started their own, so they're hosted on a separate channel.)

hi! sorry to bother but you seem like the kind of person who would know, I completely forgot about the cr panel so I didn't watch it live, in terms of footage, did they only show the table read (plus the Scanlan clip) and the title sequence? I feel like I remember them saying it wouldn't be available after the panel until a month afterwards (or something similar) but I've seen the clips going around in the Amazon prime account? I'm so confused haha

I've seen some people this morning saying a month until the VOD is available, but I haven't seen anything about VOD scheduling anywhere official. I'm pretty sure you can catch it on findthemetaverse.com for a while still. It's still been up every time I've checked.
