Favorite makeup products and favorite beginner makeup products?
Oooooh, so I’m going to list my favorites here, and stick to one of each for overall fave/beginner (which I’ll categorize as drugstore/inexpensive options).
Overall:
Mascara: Benefit roller lash is my go-to when it comes to a prestige brand. It applies well, stays on, and is just super super NICE.
Lipstick: I go back and forth on this between Anastasia Liquid Lipstick and Tarte lip paint, and I think it’s gotta be the ABH. It stays on better, it comes in a much easier to apply format, and I think it smells better, too.
Foundation: I LOVE Anastasia Luminous. It’s really expensive, but it goes a long way... and it’s buildable, comes in a ton of color shades, and isn’t heavy. It stays, too, which is GREAT.
Concealer: Kat Von D (or whatever it’s being called now) Lock It has always done the trick for me.
Bronzer/Highlighter: Anastasia Amrezy is SO GREAT, but I also really like BECCA’s Champagne Pop... it’s super super subtle at first swipe.
Eyeliner: Beauty Bakerie lillipop (I think I’ve said this before) and KVD tattoo liner in trooper. I swear both of these would stay on through a damn firehose being sprayed at my face.
Eyeshadow: So, while it’s not super expensive or considered a prestige brand, I’m gonna go with BH cosmetics for this, because all of their stuff is really nice, very pigmented and really blendable. I have not found a SINGLE palette of theirs that I have been disappointed with. My favorites? the Carli Bybel palette by BH (not the Anastasia one, even though that one’s nice too)
Anastasia makes really nice palettes, too. Norvina is beautiful, and so are Soft Glam and Subculture.
* My favorite ever eyeshadow is actually a loose pigment that came in the KVD Serpentina palette, and it’s this gorgeous gold dust that I would bathe in if I could.
Setting Spray: Urban Decay Up All Night. No questions asked.
Primer: Tarte made this incredible primer with their Rainforest of the Sea collection that I haven’t been able to find for a while, but I loved it. It’s very similar to the mattifying poreless that they currently have, but it’s not quite the same.
Facewash: Origins Checks and Balances.
Drugstore/Beginner:
Mascara: L’oreal Voluminous. I swear by this stuff, and when I travel and don’t want to take my super expensive stuff, this always comes with me.
Lipstick: Wet N Wild catsuit. There are a million and a half colors, it’s almost an exact dupe for Jeffree Starr velour lipsticks... an it’s $5. You literally cannot go wrong, and it doesn’t dry my lips out which is a plus.
Foundation: I’m a sucker for NYX total control drop foundation. Can’t Stop Won’t Stop is also a good choice, but it’s a little thicker and heavier.
Concealer: Maybelline Fit Me has always done what I need it to... Neutrogena HydroBoost is a good choice, too.
Bronzer/Highlighter: I have a million different Wet N Wild bronzers and highlighters, and I use every single one of them. They’re really pigmented and really really fun to play around with because they all SHIFT. I love them.
Eyeliner: I don’t use regular eyeliner pencils, because I think they’re hard to control, so NYX Matte Liquid and NYX Epic Ink are my choices here.
Eyeshadow: Colourpop anything. I have never met a Colourpop shadow that I have hated, and for the price, you cannot beat them. I do, however, think that they have made more than enough Disney related products and need to stop. Two favorites? SOL and Exes and Ohs. The Super Shock shadow singles ... I collect those and I think I have about 15 of them? It’s a problem.
Setting Spray: NYX has matte/dewey options, and so I like both depending on the look I’m going for.
Primer: Maybelline FaceStudio. It’s easy to use, impossible to use too much of, and it’s really gentle.
Facewash: Neutrogena Hydro Boost line is my go-to. I try to vary the types of face wash that I use so I cycle through three or four, but this is one that I always go back to.

GET TO KNOW YOU MEME
thanks for the tag @sharing-a-room-with-an-open-fire  💙
this got a bit long-winded I apologizeeee
rules: tag 9 people you want to know get to know better

top 3 ships:
for the record, I named my minivan the enterprise so.... yea anyway onto relationship ships. this was a hard list to make honestly.
1. snowbaz (from Carry On). this ship inspired me to write and publish fic so it makes sense that it is my number one. I’ve always loved those classic love-hate rival to lovers stories and this ship provides that in spades. that isn’t all that snowbaz is though. it is also one of the most relatable depictions of a relationship with someone traumatized I’ve read. I could see myself in simon and I wasn’t expecting that. for someone who struggles with relationships and opening up to people, it was like suddenly having words for something I had never been able to express before.
2. merthur (from BBC Merlin). for years this ship was my number one. Merlin is my favorite television show in part due to this relationship. even in just a platonic sense their connection and their dynamic gets me every time. two sides of the same coin you can’t get much better than that.
3. so I wasn’t sure which ship to put here. it was a toss-up between supernatural’s destiel or star trek’s spirk. in the end, I picked spirk because despite how much into supernatural I am at the moment spirk was pretty much my first ship and as such will always have a special place in my heart.
if you can’t already tell I really enjoy soulmatey meant to be ships. whether they be platonic or romantic I’m a sucker for a pair of people who are meant to be (tm) and that’s what you get with spirk. they just bring out the best in each other and isn’t that what love is really about?
lipstick or chapstick:
lipstick. especially liquid lipstick. I always have a bad reaction to chapstick so I tend to avoid it. love me a good liquid lipstick though. I usually have one on my person and picking out a shade is my favorite part of doing my makeup.
my favorites right now are Wet N Wild liquid catsuit in the shade rebel rose (only five dollars can you believeee) and NYX lip lingerie in the shade ruffle trim (only seven dollarsss). you can get both brands at the drugstore for cheap and they last forever and go with pretty much every outfit.
last song:
(Coffee’s for Closers) by Fall Out Boy. though I love every single Fall Out Boy album and could probably sing along to any of their songs (seriously test mee) I think folie à deux is my favorite. I listened to it a lot during 2016 and it has my favorite song on it, The Shipped Gold Standard.
there’s nothing like yell singing the line “I will never believe in anything again!” when you are feeling super down about life in general. love the song. love the violins at the end and all the references poured into it. just great.
last movie:
I can’t remember the last movie I watched. I don’t really watch movies much anymore. I did watch the muffin scene from The Importance of Being Earnest (2002) recently because my friends and I were doing a virtual reading of the play. but in terms of full-length movies, I think the last movie I saw was Anastasia (1997). I just got the urge re-watch it a few months back so I did and it was just as good as I remembered. (I may or may not want to write a snowbaz Anastasia au now....)
reading:
I am currently listening to the audiobook Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir and have been listening to it on and off for a good four months I think. I am getting close to finally finishing it though.
I also read a really depressing destiel end of the world fic last night until six in the morning soooooo yea (fic is Every Living Thing by Askance if anyone wants to cry a lot).
three random things that make me happy:
1. dancing. goodness, I love dancing. I used to go swing dancing every tuesday but of course, with things as they are I only get to dance in my studio apartment by myself nowadays.
2. my little brother has been sending me snapchats daily. it usually doesn’t have a message attached to it just his face and honestly, it is just a little way we stay in contact. a way so I always know he is healthy and safe and thinking about me. he’s a good kid. I love him to bits.
3. my characters. some of them I’ve had for years some just for a few months. I enjoy making their boards on pinterest and sketching out their expressions in my sketchbook. I love all their weird little details I just somehow know. I love being able to dive into another person and explore how they see the world.
they've always been there for me and I love them dearly. maybe that’s strange.
---
not sure who all has been tagged so I’m just going to go for it. sorry if you’ve already been tagged.

Not Just a Pretty Face.
Hey guys!!
I wanted to come on here today and chat with you guys about something I'm super passionate (borderline obsessed with) and that is MAKEUP!
I always get a ton of compliments on my eyeshadows and lipsticks (I love a red lip....if you couldn't tell by my Instagram). Since I'm always getting questions about the products I like/ use, I was inspired to make this post happen.
**Disclaimer: if you guys shop the links I've posted, I DO earn a small commission, which really helps me out and I'd be forever appreciative if you would. These ARE, however, products that I've purchased with my own money and what works for me.**
First rule of makeup is that there ARE no rules; like any form of expression, it's whatever you want it to be and you can have as much fun with it as you like. Or if you don't like wearing makeup, you certainly don't have to.
So this first, and most important step to great makeup is a great base, which means taking care of your skin.
I wash my face every day using this acne scrub by Neutorgena which has done wonders for my skin. Since I deal with a lot of stress and oily skin, this is a perfect way to get my face clean and ready for the day.
After I wash my face, I use this toner, also by Neutrogena on a cotton pad and I honestly love it. It doesn't dry out my skin and it helps remove any excess dirt or left over makeup.
。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆
This moisturizer by Garnier is probably my favorite that I've ever used and it's SO HARD to find in stores! Luckily our friends over at Amazon have everything under the sun, so once I found I could get it there (and in a two pack) I haven't worried about finding it when I need it. It's water based, which my skin loves, and it doesn't clog up your pores the way some cream moisturizers can.
So with my skin care done, I prep my face using this primer by Too Faced. Now I know the price tag is scary, but a little goes a long way. Plus I love the way it makes my skin feel. It doesn’t have any silicone in it and it doesn’t have that weird, filmy texture like some primers do.
I also prime with this setting spray by Milani, which is a new find for me! I wasn’t sure I would like it, but if you wear make up in the South AND in the summertime heat and humidity, you know what a pain it is trying to keep everything in place. By starting with this setting spray, it give the makeup a solid surface to cling to. I also set my face with this when I’m done with my makeup application to lock everything in and then I’m ready to take on the day!
。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆
To fill in and set my brows, I use this pencil and this duo both by E.L.F. I love the pencil because it comes with a spoolie at the end, but by far my favorite from the duo is the powder. It locks my brows in place and they DO NOT run, which, again, if you wear makeup in the Southern heat, you know what an issue this can be!
To prime my eyes for shadow, I use this primer by Essence, which you get A LOT of for such a small price tag. My favorite way to use this is to put a little on my eye and then set it with a neutral shadow, therefore giving you a smooth base to apply your shadows with.
My eyeshadow is one one of the aspects of my makeup that I always get compliments on. If you're looking for a good, neutral pallet to try, I HIGHLY recommend this one by Tarte. If I mysteriously lost all my makeup and had to replace it, this would be one of the first items in my cart. This pallet is by far one of the most versatile in my arsenal. First off, the mirror is HUGE and it smells like chocolate! With its mix of mattes and shimmers, I can easily go do a simple, soft and neutral look to a dark and vampy look with just a few strokes of my brushes. This looks good on literally every skin tone and it's extremely forgiving, so if you're a beginner and looking to invest in a good, solid pallet that you can use every day, look no further than this one!
Honorable mentions:
Urban Decay Born to Run
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance
Too Faced Chocolate Bar
。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆
To set my face makeup, I use a damp beauty sponge and this translucent setting powder by Air Spun. It doesn't have an over powering scent and you get A LOT of it for your money (I've hear that it's a dupe for the Laura Mercier setting powder too).
For blush, I like this one by Too Faced. It gives a nice, flush of color without bring too intense or crazy. Plus I love how the peachy color looks on my skin! For a drugstore option, I also like these blushes by Milani they come in a ton of shades and are at a good price point for such a good blush.
For bronzer, I stick with my first love, which is this one by Too Faced. Again, the price is high, but for how much you get, it's honestly worth it. Plus, it smells like chocolate and you can't go wrong with that!
。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆
For highlight, I love the ones by Wet N Wild, they pack a lot of punch into their highlighters for VERY little money, which in itself is impressive. I can have a natural glow or I can build it up and glow bright enough to be seen from space, whichever mood I'm in, this highlighter covers all of my bases.
Now you guys know, I LOVE LOVE, LOVE a good red lip and it's by far the thing that makes me feel most ready and confident and it rounds out the look completely. This one from Milani always gets me a ton of compliments, be warned that it IS a matte and it does dry out your lips, so if that isn't your jam, try this one from Wet N Wild. The Liquid Catsuit line is matte but not super drying.
To finish off any look, I set it with the Milani setting spray I mentioned earlier that way everything stays in place.
I honesty love makeup and if you guys have any questions, or would like some other recommendations, feel free to leave a comment or shoot me an ask and I'll answer. Hope you guys enjoyed this blog and I'll see you for the next one! I love you all!

Hi,I am looking to start experimenting with wearing make up,I would really love to tap into your expertise and ask your advice on the top ten essential items of make up a beginner should purchase?
Hey doll! I switch alot through high end and drugstore makeup so im going to share my faves on both! Please note that i have super oily skin so what works for me may not work for you xo
1. Primer, i personally havent found a drugstore primer that works good for me but i heard really good things about the maybelline babyskin primer and the nxy angel veil primer, i use the smashbox photo finish pore minimizing primer.
2. Foundation, my favorite drugstore foundation is the maybelline fit me matte and poreless, if you have dry skin try the original fit me, for high end i really like the estee lauder double wear, urban decay all nighter and mac studio fix fluid.
3. Concealer, maybelline fit me concealer and mac pro long wear, i olse use them to clean up under my brows.
4. Powder, i’ve been using the same catrice loose powder for years and i love it!
5. Brows, I only use 1 brows product and i swear by it, the sephora retractable brow pencil is my EVERYTHING, probably used over 10 pencils and i have 9 on backup right now lmao
6. Eyeshadow, my favfavfavvv palette is from zoeva, it’s kind off an inbetween brand from a price point of view but i love their eyeshadow and use their brushes every day! Sleek also has really good affordable eyeshadows.
7. Contour, kat von d shade and light palette hands down! For drugstore i love the balm bahama mama bronzer as a cooltoned bronzer for contour and the rimmel bronzer as a warm toned one.
8. Highlighter, the balm mary louminizer and colourpop highlighters are poppinnn!
9. Blush, my favorite blush is the balms hot mama blush, it’s the one i mainly use, i switch through a lot of different blushes besides that one.
10. Lips, as for cream lipsticks i love the kiko ones and the mac lipsticks, loreal and maybelline are also really nice. As for liquid lipsticks, i love wet n wild liquid catsuits, colourpop liquid satin and the sephora ones, nxy liquid lingerie has really pretty colors but their formula is not the best. I really wanna try the anastasia beverly hills and huda beauty ones!
I think thats about it, there are still alot of things to touch upon such as liners, lashes etc but this is the top 10 for beginners imo, hope i helped babe💖💖💖

January Favorites
Another month, another list of my favorites. This year, however, I am going to include new stuff that I may have reviewed that month but still really love. Hint, there are definitely items that I have reviewed recently that are on this list so let's talk about my January favorites.
Milani Setting Spray - OMG. I finally found a drugstore setting spray that I love. This setting spray takes away that powdery look when I may have used too much powder and it helps my makeup last. So basically it does exactly what it's supposed to do and it's only $10. Plus, I love how this setting spray smells so this was a huge win and a big favorite this past month.
Milani Prime Lights Strobing + Pore-Minimizing Face Primer -  I'm pretty picky when it comes to primers but this one really surprised me. It did give my skin a slight glow but the thing I liked most was how this primer blurred some of the areas around my nose and cheeks. This primer really helped my foundation go on better in those spots and kept the foundation from breaking up around nose.
Physician's Formula Butter Blush in Plum Rose - On my skin tone both of the butter blushes are beautiful but I really love the Plum Rose shade. There is just something about this shade that looks so beautiful and natural on my cheeks. I really wish that Physician's Formula would release more shades that more skin tones could use because this formula is so awesome and blendable but if you are a fair skinned girl like myself, you may want to check these out.
Wet N' Wild Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick in Rebel Rose - I am shocked by how much I like these liquid lipsticks. These are very comfortable and last really well but best of all they are only $5. These do have a nice range of shades but my favorite is Rebel Rose. On my lips, it's basically a my lips but better and slightly mauvier kind of shade and it looks so nice. Again, these have a really nice formula and last really well so of course they are on my favorites list.
MAC x Mariah Carey Lip Glass in Rainbow Interlude - As most of you know, some my friends got me items from the MAC x Mariah Carey collection for Christmas. While I do like the lipsticks and the eyeshadow quad, this lip gloss is awesome. I love the pink/silver/purple shimmer in this and it just looks so beautiful on. Plus, the packaging is gorgeous. Just a really beautiful lip gloss.
Vintage Highlighter Double in Chocolate Diamond and Rose Quartz - This duo came in my very first BoxyCharm ever and I love it. The Rose Quartz shade is so beautiful as a highlight on my skin tone and the Chocolate Diamond shade is a gorgeous eyeshadow. The formula for these powders is so buttery and blends like a dream. I can't say enough good things about this duo.
Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Moisturizer - I've been having a lot of problems with my skin this past month specifically with dryness and this has helped my skin so much. This does have SPF 30 in it which I need a stronger SPF in the winter but it also has a couple extra moisturizers in it that are supposed help bring moisture back to the skin without being too thick.
Matrix Style Fixer Finishing Hairspray - As I've mentioned a couple of times, I work in a salon and I'm always getting new hair stuff to try and this is my favorite hairspray, possibly ever.  I have very fine, straight, and thin hair so I need a hairspray that has hold but isn't heavy and this one is perfect. Most hairsprays that actually help hold a curl in my hair make it feel crunchy and this doesn't. My hair feels flexible but still holds whatever style I choose which is awesome.
That is it for my January favorites, I don't know what I'll be posting next because the next couple of days are going to crazy but I am hoping to get my review of the Kat Von D Pastel Goth palette this weekend so until my next post.
Later weirdos,
Snow

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. So I am not the type of person to have monthly favorites. I usually have a collection of favorites that I have discovered. If I did a monthly favorites post will not be long enough. Now let’s get into the post.
Beauty
The Strobe of Genius by NYX is my favorite drugstore highlight palette. You get seven highlighters and all different shades. That lavender one is my favorite. I like how you can use them just how they are and get a nice subtle highlight. Or you can wet a brush with setting spray and get an intense look. I also like to use some of these colors as lid shades.
This was a toss-up between Wet n Wilds and Milani. Now both are amazing and I get Wet n Wild’s primer if my drugstores don’t have Milani. This product keeps my makeup intact throughout the day when used with the setting spray. No it does not minimize pores, but it does help create a smooth surface for foundation.
Matte lips are all the rage now. Liquid Catsuit by Wet n Wild is absolutely my favorite. I know I’m late to the party. But as I am getting used to having matte lips, I have been discovering great products. And to take this a step further, my favorite shade is Rebel Rose!
Fashion
Can you guess what my favorite trend is from the photos? If you guessed cold/off the shoulder then you guessed correctly. For some reason I love this look. I think it’s the fact that your shoulders are exposed but certain parts of the arm is covered. Also I love floral prints and rompers.
Music
So with music I could not choose one between Incubus and Ed Sheeran. Both are so different. Incubus is an alternative band and I have been a fan since the eighth grade(2004). And Ed Sheeran’s new album after a two year? hiatus is amazing. So both have been on repeat in my car everyday.
That is it for my favorites. Thank you so much for stopping by!

ice cream asks: coffee, cheesecake, chocolate chip, bubble gum!
coffee: favorite cosmetic brands?
BUCKLE THE FUCK UP I HAVE A LOT.
Foundation: Prestige, I really like Anastasia and Fenty. Drugstore, Wet n Wild photofocus and NYX.
Eyeshadow: I have a ton of different ones that I use (my makeup collection when it comes to eyeshadow palettes is out of control). Prestige, I go for Anastasia and Urban Decay (Too Faced are waaaaaayyy too chalky) a lot. Drugstore, again NYX is really nice, and so are BH Cosmetics. I have one morphe palette (it’s a bunch of gold tones) that I love and one (Jaclyn Hill) that’s just alright.
Highlighter: I am a sucker for cheap, really pigmented highlighters, and I honestly don’t think I own anything that cost more than like $10, but the Amrezy by ABH and Becca’s Champagne pop are two of the ones my sister has that I use whenever possible. I love the Wet n Wild Zodiac highlighter, the WnW Precious Petals and Crown of my Canopy single highlighters aaaaaaaand I have a Kristen Leanne x UD highlighter palette that is three shades and goes on like a dream.
Powder/bronzer: I literally use the cheapest powder possible, I think my current loose one is a Cover Girl and I have a pressed powder that I think might be Maybelliene… Bronzer, I have a Too Faced one that smells like cocoa and a Sephora one that i have been using for like 2 years and it’s lighter and I like that one too.
Lipstick: I like to wear lipstick, but I don’t like when it cracks or looks chalky or clumpy, so I don’t use sticks typically - I’m more of a fan of liquid lip. The Wet n Wild catsuit ones are almost an exact dupe for the Jeffree Starr velour liquid lip (but I own Androgyny because it’s gorgeous), and they’re like $4 instead of $18. Tarteist lip paint is really really nice, too. I love “acid wash”… Anastasia, I constantly have a tube of  ‘sad girl’ and ‘ashton’ with me.
Nail polish: Nothing stays on my nails because life is not fair, but I love OPI.
Mascara: I wear contacts, and am CONSTANTLY touching my eyes, so I always usually wear at least a base coat of waterproof. I HATE ‘better than sex’ from Too Faced because all it does is clump. Drugstore waterproof brands that I love are L’oreal Voluminous and Maybelliene Volum Express Colossal.  I swear by Roller Lash and They’re Real from Benefit cosmetics. The Kat Von D Go Big or Go Home makes it look like I’m wearing fake lashes with one coat, but it smudges kinda easily so I can’t wear it in the summer or if my allergies are bad.
Eyeliner: I’m a huge huge huge fan of liquid liner or felt tipped liners. Eyeliner is one of the ONLY things I’ll always buy a more expensive option of. Beauty Bakerie Lollipop liner is incredibly long lasting; I can literally rub my eyes and then sleep with it on and it’s still perfect in the morning. Kat Von D tattoo liner in Trooper is PERFECT but it’s a little more expensive, so I alternate with it and Stila All Day. I use a regular pencil for beneath my eye, so that’s whatever and I have a bunch of random mechanical and need-to-be-sharpened eyelieners that ill use if I’m just fucking around and want to throw something on (NYX, WnW, catrice)
Setting spray: URBAN DECAY UP ALL NIGHT OR NOTHING. I wore this shit to an all day, outoor music festival once and went out to a restaurant at 2 am and it still looked INCREDIBLE.
To summarize, I think Wet n Wild is the best in terms of value + quality, because the only thing I really don’t like of theirs is eyeshadow because it’s so hit or miss.
Colourpop is also a really, really great brand because of their supershock eyeshadows and highlighters. They’re cheap as hell, and they are P I G M E N T E D like you would not believe.
cheesecake: what’s your zodiac sign? Capricorn!
chocolate chip: what’s your most popular post? It’s probably some dumb list of asks that I literally had to delete so all of the responses weren’t showing up in my activity feed and making me miss things (i think it has like 1500 notes or some bullshit) … but of my ACTUAL posts? Probably my masterlist, which has almost 400.
bubblegum: books or movies? If I’m looking to zone out and just consume something while I’m doing other things, movies. I like using my imagination and getting lost in books, but that requires a LOT more concentration and focus than just turning the TV on and popping on a movie.

Recently, I placed an order on the Wet N' Wild website then I went to Walgreen's and picked up some more stuff so this haul is all of the Wet N' Wild stuff I got this week. Some of the items are Walgreen's exclusives others are online exclusive but most are available where ever Wet N' Wild is sold so let's talk about what I got.
First, I bought online exclusive brushes. I've been wanting a new fan brush and since I already like most of the Wet N' Wild brushes and was placing an order I decided to just get this one. As I was looking at the brushes, I was intrigued with smoky liner brush so I got it since it was only $1. Again, I have liked most of the brushes I have tried so far so I just decided since I was already placing an order, I would try a couple more that I can't get in stores.
The other online exclusives I bought are the Nail polishes. So technically, the nail polishes were a part of the Holiday Collection but since you can't get these in stores anymore, I'm going to say they are online exclusive. Anyways, I got the shades R-U-Free-2 Dance? And Ninja Lovelace. R-U-Free-2 Dance? Is an iridescent purple/pink/blue shimmer polish and Ninja Lovelace is a bronze brown shade with gold and bronze shimmer. I love nail polish and I love the MegaLast line so when I saw these shades I knew I needed to order them.
I also bought 3 of the Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks in the shades Rebel Rose, Give Me Mocha, and Berry Recognize. So I bought Berry Recognize at Walgreen's but I ordered Rebel Rose and Give Me Mocha from the wet n wild website because I couldn't find those shades at any of the Walgreen's where I live. Rebel Rose is a pinky mauve, Give Me Mocha is a very red toned brown, and Berry Recognize is a berry shade. In the past few months, I have hopped onto the liquid lip trend train and when I saw that Wet N' Wild was bringing these back out in a permanent line with more shades I knew was going to have to try them out. Once, I saw swatches of the shades, these three were the ones that stood out to me. I know a lot of people are curious about these so I will be doing a review on them.
In addition to the liquid lipsticks I bought one of the new Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liners in the shade Never Petal Down. These are supposed to go smoother than their regular lip liners while delivering never-ending color. These are super inexpensive and I usually really like drugstore lip liners over high end so I have high hopes for this.
The next item I bought was the MegaGlo Highlighting Powder in the shade Precious Petals. A lot of people love this highlighter including some friends of mine so I decided to just give it a try. I have been hesitant to try this because this is the lighter of the two shades and it looks like it might be too dark but I will give it a try. I wasn't planning on doing a full review of this but I will post my thoughts on this highlighter to let you guys know if I like the formula and how the shade works for us pale princesses.
Another product that I bought from Walgreen's is the MegaSlim Skinny Mascara. Some of my favorite mascaras have really skinny brushes so I'm curious to try this one and if I don't like it for my top lashes maybe I will like it for my bottom lashes. I also bought the MegaSlim Skinny Tip Eyeliner. I have been slowly getting more into liquid liners but I definitely prefer a skinnier tip on my eyeliners so I'm really hopeful that this is going to work for me. I don't really plan on posting a full review on either of these products but I was going to post my thoughts on them as I use them.
The next and last three products I bought are Walgreen's exclusives. These items are a part of the new Mega Cushion line and I bought one of the Mega Cushion Soft Matte Lip Creams in the shade Melon It Like It Is, the Mega Cushion Contour in Café Au Slay, and the Mega Cushion Highlight in Who's That Pearl (As far as I know, the contour and highlight only come in those shades but since they have names on them I figured I'd better say what they are). Honestly, I'm not really sure why I bought one of the Soft Matte Lip Creams in general because I'm not really a fan of matte lip creams but I really don't know why I bought this shade because It looks pretty orangey and on me orangey lips aren't too flattering. In regards to the cushion Contour and Highlight, I've seen cushion foundations and blushes but I haven't really seen contour and highlight so I was curious as to how well they might work. I did already open these just to see what the shades looked like and I think the contour might be too warm for me to contour with but I might be able to use it as a bronzer but the highlight shade is beautiful. It's a pearly white with a touch of pink that I think will look beautiful on my skin tone. I haven't decided if I'm going to just post my thoughts on these or do a full review so if you guys have a preference let me know.
That is it for this haul, next up will my review of the L'Oréal Lip Paints and my Ipsy Glam Bag should be arriving soon so I will also share what I got in that so until my post.
Later weirdos,
Snow
