URL music game
rules: spell out your URL with song titles and tag some friends
I was tagged by @doedreamss (thank you, dearie!! <3 )
Since I already did this game once with my main blog URL, I hope you won’t mind me doing this with my Black Sails sideblog (which is rather abandoned atm but I promise I haven’t forgotten it and I’ll start posting there again eventually  I don’t know to whom I talking to maybe the 2-3 people who follow me both here and there lol)... the name is also longer, so more songs yay (as if you were asking that lmao)!! ;)
Andante, andante - Lily James (Mamma mia! 2 OST) // all right, I didn’t mean to return to my Mamma mia! obsession phase - it was bad enough when the first movie got out - but I got to listen to one song (which was not this one, but another song about a student kissing her teacher, rather creepy if you think about it but the music is so engaging it’s still stuck in my head, damn it) by chance and started roaming through the soundtrack of this sequel (which I haven’t seen yet tbh, actually by choice since I already know a thing about the story that upsets me a lot, but I guess I’ll eventually watch it because the songs aren’t bad, though I’ve had the impression that the level of silliness is not even close to the first movie and that’s what I actually enjoyed about it in the first place :p ) and I got to listen to this song and :’) - I’m not even one for love songs but this is so sweet and warm and intimate and Lily James’ voice is delightful so yeah, another one bound to be stuck in my head for days! also it doesn’t help that I’ve been thinking about Philinda slow dancing to this song I have a HUGE problem
Never give up on your dreams - Two Steps From Hell // HA, my mandatory TSFH mention when I talk about music! XD (and be grateful it’s the only one as I tried to make the list varied) One of my favourites (mh, I say that A LOT regarding TSFH but oh well :p ), so moving and epic and heart-lifting, I’m undone whenever I listen to this, like, I can’t function, it’s almost too much for me! :’)
Amazing grace - J2 (feat. Chelsea Caroline) // Oh, I love J2′s covers of songs, they’re so badass!! This is a more pop-rock/epic rendition than the usual hymn, but I find it great, and the singer’s voice is powerful and rich!
Taking the hobbits to Isengard - Erwin Beekveld // I legit have this song in my music playlist - I mean, how could I not?! XD This will NEVER be outdated and not legendary!!
I’ve no more fucks to give - Thomas Benjamin Wild. Esp. // About this song I’m just going to say LIFE GOALS!!! This is the level I aspire to achieve hands down!
Only happy when it rains - Garbage // I blame the Captain Marvel soundtrack for bringing back this song, which rocks and sometimes is also a BIG mood!!
Northern lights - Gaelic Storm // aaaaaaand Gaelic Storm is another band that tends to pop up when I get to speak about music! I love, love, LOVE this song, it’s so touching and enchanting and soothing and, dare I say, romantic... <33
One day - Hans Zimmer // catch me crying whenever I hear this goddamn piece... especially the godforsaken end, man... you know the scene when it plays... ;_______;
Fat bottomed girls - Red Hot Chilli Pipers // whoo hoo, catch me headbanging and dancing all around at this!! I love the original song, of course, but this version with BAGPIPES!!!!!!!! INSTANT LOVE, it was!!!! (well, it does good on my self-esteem a bit as well, since I think I can consider myself a part of this “category” of ladies celebrated by the song ;) )
Today we rise - Luke Youngblood (Galavant OST) // have I begged you today to watch this show??!!  This is one of my absolute FAVOURITES in the whole soundtrack and I get to sing along proudly every chance I get (which happens basically when I’m alone, since I have to skip this soundtrack while I’m outside in public because if I listened to it I would surely start smiling and giggling like an idiot and people would certainly think me mad) ... lol, Sid always complained about never having the opportunity to do a proper performance and in the end he was given one of the most brilliant songs to sing!!! :D I’m almost, ALMOST tempted to follow him into battle - surely I’ll sing the hell out of it until the end, only to likely hide with the other peasants because well, once you think about what you’re singing you’re not exactly encouraged to pursue!! XD
Helvegen - Wardruna // wow, this song always sends me chills down my spine, so haunting and enchanting!!!
In the end - 2WEI // I blame AOS season 6′s trailer for making me listen to this, although I already heard other pieces of 2WEI... What can I say, I’m rather drawn to epic covers of songs (although I still love the original song to bits)...
El tango de Roxanne - Ewan McGregor, Jacek Koman, José Feliciano (Moulin Rouge OST) // I rewatched the movie not long time ago and this song never fails to fuck me up, I always arrive at the end choked up... I love the soundtrack of this movie!
Vespertine (My crimson bride) - Kamelot // Can’t explain why, but this song, rather than being a fucking WONDER, has also been an anchor for me when my grandmother died... I don’t know really why it kept playing in my head during that period, but it was actually a soothing balm for my wounded heart and my broken thoughts, so I’m really grateful to it for keeping me steady (well, as steady as I could have been in that circumstance)... I love this song (and its album) to bits!!!
Everybody needs somebody to love - The Blues Brothers // This song (and its soundtrack and movie) is a sure antidote to sadness for me, nothing more to say!!
Sailing for adventure (on the big blue wet thing XD) - Muppet Treasure Island OST // let’s end on a VERY serious note, shall we?! Yep, I totally have this song on my phone and every time I listen to it I feel like I could embark on a ship and sail away! (though I’m rather sure I’d end up joining the two “figureheads” singing “should have took the train!” because I may get sea sick or something XD ) Can we appreciate the human actors singing along though?! Well, apart from the marvelous Tim Curry, of course...
I’m tagging (always, if you haven’t done it before and feel like it <3) @whitestnoise, @thelifeinmyshadesofgrey, @tirairgid, @queen-of-love-and-beauty, @valentinaonthemoon, @mednay, @ennaih ... Oh, I don’t know really, whoever wants to do this!! :)

Descendants Yandere Headcanons
There’s so much great Dark!Descendants content, but I haven’t seen any Yandere!Descendants content (Harry doesn’t really count because he’s just Like That, although I do love my slutty pirate) and that’s just a goddamn crime, so here’s some lovesick Villain Kids. (Might do the AKs later???)
(I’m using the archetypes I describe in my last post, so check there if you want a deeper explanation. )
Mal - Lucid Selfish. On the one hand, she knows this is fucked up. But’s so dangerous outside. There are so many things that could hurt you, so many people who could try to take you away. It’s better for you to stay here, with her, where she can keep an eye on you. She likes to make you pose for her art, and she has hundreds of sketches and paintings of you. Her favorite time to draw you is when you’re sleeping. She calls you her “treasure” and jokes that every proper dragon needs a hoard. Pretty temperamental, she won’t take well to crying or fighting back, usually screaming or flashing her eyes at you, occasionally slapping you if you really pushed her buttons. Once she found somewhere to put you you’d have mostly free reign until you tried to escape. Then you’d be chained to the wall, or the bed, with magically-reinforced mankles. She almost lost you once, she won’t make that mistake a second time. The more you act out the more distant she gets, though. You’re so difficult, she says. You’re so ungrateful. Eventually she leaves and doesn’t come back for weeks. You’re alone and chained up in a dark room and you think she left you there to die. When she does come back it’s just to give you food and then leave again. For months this happens, until you’re begging her to stay, promising you’ll never leave her again, apologizing for not appreciating her. You’d do anything just to sit and pose for her again, have some kind of contact or company. You think you’ll go crazy if you have to be alone anymore. You’re lucky though. Mal has a temper, but she’s willing to forgive you if you promise to behave, and she really is so sweet when you aren’t making her angry. You’re so lucky you have her. You’re so lucky she came back.
Jay - Semi-Delusional Selfish. He flirts with you as often as he flirts with everybody else, so you don’t really think anything of his attention. You probably even have a slight crush on him. He’s so handsome, he’s so charming. But he doesn’t seem like he wants a relationship, so you never try anything. What you don’t know is that he follows you home every night, to make sure you get there safe, and because he loves to watch you sleep. He breaks into your bedroom and goes through your stuff, but he doesn’t steal anything -- not from you, habibi, his love. Nothing you’d miss, anyway. Just your chapstick, or your old toothbrush you threw away, or the occasional pair of underwear. In exchange he leaves you gifts, but he doesn’t give them to you face to face, because where’s the fun in that? Instead you find expensive jewelry and games and stuff just lying in your room. You probably freak out and skip town, but he keeps tabs on you. In fact, it’s fun for him that you tried to run away, like playing cat and mouse. He’s content to just keep chasing you… until, that is, you get a boyfriend. Suddenly Jay is seeing red. He’s so jealous he can’t stand it. This isn’t part of the game. Maybe he shouldn’t have dragged it out for so long, but he couldn’t help it. You were getting so paranoid, it was so cute. Not that he’d ever hurt you, but you’re adorable when you’re afraid. Only now you’re with that douchebag. Well, whatever, Jay can take care of him, and any other prick who tries to take you away from him. In fact, maybe he should just get rid of everybody -- your friends, your family, anybody who might get in the way. Then you’ll be his and his alone, and you two can keep playing the game. Forever.
Evie - Delusional Selfish. She’ll change her hair, her clothes, the way she talks and acts and the music she listens to, anything she has to to be your perfect girl. Your actual, current girlfriend is just trash, in the way of you noticing the girl who really loves you. But that’s fine, Evie will just get rid of her. Then you’ll see that she’s the perfect one for you. She’s the ideal wife, and she’ll easily become your dream girl. You’re grieving the loss of your girlfriend when she uses your vulnerability to get close to you, offering comfort. At first everything seems fine, but eventually her mask starts to crack, and you realize how much she’s lying about. You call her out on it, and she doesn’t react well. She’s never screamed at you like that before. Over time her careful house of cards starts to crumble, and you see more and more of what’s really going on. The more you try to wiggle away from her the more she tightens her grip, though. Yes, okay, fine, she killed the tramp, but can’t you see it was a good thing? You two are perfect together, Evie can be anyone you want her to be, aren’t you happy with her? … Fine. After everything she did, if you’re going to be so ungrateful, then obviously she was wrong about you two belonging together. But if she can’t have you, no one else can.
Carlos - Lucid Selfless. He avoids violence whenever it's possible, instead resorting to blackmail and manipulation. Honestly, you don't even notice he’s there, and that’s fine. Nobody ever does unless he wants them to. He’s content to stay behind the scenes, pulling strings, getting you that job promotion or better grades or whatever else you might want. You might start to get a little suspicious about your good luck, but who’s gonna look a gift horse in the mouth, right? Until, by chance, you catch a glimpse of him and realize how familiar he is, how he always seems to be everywhere all the time. A little digging turns up countless selfies with him in the background, or people remembering seeing him talk to your boss shortly before that pay raise. Furious, you confront him - after all, what's the worst he could do to you? - and Carlos doesn't deny it. In fact, he admits to all that and more, all the things he's been doing for you. You're angry at him, aren't you? He knew he shouldn't have done it, he was being bad, but he couldn't help himself. It's okay, you can be angry. You can punish him. If growing up with Cruella taught him anything it’s that he can take a hit. Go ahead, he’ll take whatever punishment you dish out, so that he can be a good boy for you again.
Uma - Semi-Lucid Selfish. Uma is your queen and commander, and you should love her. She’s the best and baddest, the strongest, the smartest, the most capable. She’ll be able to give you anything and everything you want. All she asks in return is that you love her more than anyone else. The relationship starts off like a fairy tale, but as time goes on her jealousy and possessiveness only increase. She gets angry when she sees you talking to other people, even angrier when you try to defend your right to do so. She’s convinced you'll try to leave her, and how dare you? After everything she’s done? The more you try to squirm away, the more she tightens her grip, and the more possessive she becomes, the more you desperately need a little space. It's a vicious cycle. Finally you break things off with her. She isn't who she was in the beginning. Where is that Uma? Why can't you have the old Uma back? The old Uma? Are you kidding? She’s right here! She’s been right here! She’d still be right here if you weren't being so fucking impossible! You're stubborn and fighty and you have no respect for her authority, and if you think she’ll let you leave her, then you’re fucking delusional. You belong to her. The whole world belongs to her! Someday the seven seas will do her bidding, and what will you be then? If you're not hers you're nothing. But you're lucky, your captain has a forgiving nature. She’ll give you another chance, and this time she’ll make sure you can't fuck it up. Kick and scream and cry all you want. You are never going to leave her.
Harry - Selective Selfless. (He’s already kind of a yandere for Uma but here we go.) Harry would do anything for you. Everything for you. All you have to do is ask. He’d slaughter a whole city, paint his name in their blood all over the walls so everybody knows not to mess with you. You’re his king/queen, he’d follow you anywhere. Nobody else will ever, ever, ever love you like he loves you. You don't even have to love him back, he just wants to follow you, serve you, adore you. He wants your recognition and praise, but he’d settle for just your acknowledgment. Just let him be close to you, that’s all he asks. And, well, he just wants what's best for you. He wants the whole world to fear and adore you as much as he does. Everyone should kneel at your feet. And if other people are in the way of you taking your throne, he’ll eliminate them. And if you don't want him to keep killing people, you'd better step up and prove you can control him, because otherwise he’ll just keep pushing and pushing. If it's the only way to get your attention, he’ll do it. And if the day comes when you try to make him stop, make him leave you, make him turn his back on everything he’s worked so hard for, the world he’s tried to build for you… Well. He can see he’s been a bit too lenient with you. You’re tough, but you aren't ready to be the person he knows you can be, yet. You just need a little push, that’s all. Just a little push, and you can rule the world. Don't worry, it's alright. He’ll be there with you the whole time. It’ll stop hurting soon.
Gil - Delusional Selfless. He’s fully convinced that you’re in love with him. You might not be officially dating or whatever, but who needs it? It’s in the way you smile at him in the halls, and the way you glance at him in class, and the way you said his name, that one time. You’re in love with him, and you’re going to be together forever. Gil is going to marry you, and you’ll have a family, and you’ll live happily ever after! He gets that you're like, shy or whatever. That's okay, he won't push. You can take as much time as you need. Or, maybe you’re like Belle? You might need some convincing and stuff. There's a lot of jerks on the Isle, maybe you want him to prove that he’ll be good to you, that he can protect you and treat you right. He can do that! He starts to show off more, getting into more fights, so that you can see how strong and chivalrous and stuff he is. But you're pulling away and spending less time with him and he heard you say the other day that he’s kinda scaring you lately. He can't think of why you might be scared of him, he’s been so gentle and sweet with you, and he’s been fighting any other guy who might try to get close to you and mess with you and stuff. He’s doing everything a good husband should! Until he starts to think about Belle again, and how his dad says that she would have been his mom if the Beast hadn't stolen her. Of course, somebody must be trying to steal you! You're so great and pretty and smart and funny and perfect, of course somebody would wanna turn you against him! But Gil won't make the same mistake his dad did. He won't let his future wife be lied to and led away from him. He’ll keep you close. He’ll keep you safe.

Note: This story is best viewed at http://[email protected]. Formatting is not supported on tumblr's mobile app.
I'm in the passenger seat next to Ruby. Her fingers are white on the wheel, and her eyes are fierce. I haven't seen her in a long time.
Bruises, the latest ones,
are in blotches that run down the side of her neck and
disappear into the collar of her plain, black t-shirt.
Her dark hair is in a ponytail. She is silent as she stares at the oncoming road. Pepper, her Chihuahua, keeps looking at me like she doesn't know who I am. A bright red cast is around Pepper's right foreleg.
"That's it." She mumbles it like she's done before, but her eyes are bright. I can tell that she means it this time. She doesn't address me; nobody ever does.
Brian's Jeep isn't in the driveway, but we park the old Volkswagen Bug along the street anyway. She scoops Pepper out of my lap. Pepper whines, and she kisses her on top of her balding head. "Nobody's gonna hurt you."
A large chip of white paint comes off the town house's front door as she opens it. She looks at it for a while. She knows that this place needs some work, but it took her until now to notice how truly run down it is. How many years has she lost to this place? She can barely remember them all. The front entrance smells of cigarette smoke and spilled booze.
Kicking aside the liter of vodka,
she makes her way to the bedroom. She sets Pepper down on the bed and opens the closet. An old backpack from university lies in the far corner, but she keeps looking; she doesn't want to look like she's leaving. Her hands grab the largest purse she owns instead. She doesn't need much, just enough clothing to last a couple of days. The underwear drawer is ignored; anything in there will only serve as a reminder of him. Her actions are methodical; she hardly notices what goes in the bag. Three random tops. The jeans that Brian always found too tight. Pepper's stuffed duck and leash goes in too. She'll grab dog food along the way.
The bathroom is next: toothbrush, flattening iron, deodorant, tampons. She knows she's forgetting things, but doesn't care. She opens the makeup drawer, something she hasn't done in a long time.
The mascara feels innocent and small in her hand, not whorish or provocative.
She unscrews the cap and brushes some on her upper lashes. It's clumpy from sitting in the drawer for so long. There's a lipstick tube in the far back, behind some heavy foundation. She puts some of that on too.
She stares at her reflection for a full minute. Her blue eyes are doll-like, large and vulnerable.
She turns to the side, placing her hands on her flat abdomen. All she's eaten for the last two weeks is salad: a cup of spring greens, a teaspoon of balsamic vinaigrette, and ten kidney beansthrown in to make it more filling.
Pressing her lips together to spread the red dye, she hardly recognizes herself. That suits her just fine. Pepper moves around from the bedroom; Ruby can hear her trying to dig around in the blankets. How her cast gets in the way.
Ruby snaps away from her reflection. Brian will be back any minute.
The door opens with a bang.
I feel myself fading.
She zips the full bag closed, swings it over her shoulder.
"Ru?"
She emerges from the bedroom with Pepper on her hip. Pepper struggles when she sees him, so she sets her down behind the couch.
Brian looks relieved. "Babes, are you alright?" Something is different, but he doesn't know what.
She looks at him directly. She's tried to stand up to him hundreds of times, but I was never there. I am now.
"I'm so sorry." His fingers dance over the purple and brown splotches on her neck. He kisses them softly and lifts her up with strong, tanned arms so he can bury his face in her shoulder. He's careful not to press too hard. "I just … get frustrated. Work is insane, and I don't mean to take it out on you. You never give up on me." Tears well in his eyes. "You're the only one who hasn't."
Ruby melts into him. His words are maple syrup, and fill her whole again.
I'm almost gone.
Ruby catches a glimpse of Pepper trying to lick the fur under the cast, and her resolve strengthens. Her anger is tangible. Hot steel lines her stomach.
"I need to go back to the vet," she lies, and does her best to keep her voice light. "They said to pick up the prescription in an hour." He nods and sets her down. "Take my Jeep."
"No, the receipt is in my glove box." With the challenge of his authority, his demeanor changes. She hurries on. "Want me to pick you up anything?" Good. Make him think you're coming back.
"Your dog spilled my shit." He eyes the vodka bottle.
It takes everything she has not to let her anger show. She hates him, and hasn't realized how much until this moment. "I'll stop by the liquor store on my way back."
She grabs Pepper and a throw blanket from the couch, and heads out the door without saying goodbye. Her arms are full, and she fumbles with the keys.
H e r    ha n d s      s h ak e,   and she misses the keyhole twice. I sit in the passenger side again, and Ruby spreads the throw on top of me, making a nest where Pepper can nestle in.
"God, I'm starving."
Air flows in as the window rolls down, and Ruby rips the elastic out of her hair. The long strands blow around us like dancing shadows. We pull into the McDonald's drive-thru. A Double Big Mac for her, a kid's meal for Pepper. Through a mouthful of grease, she belts out the lyrics from a popular music station, and hands Pepper fries over the shifter handle.
The Interstate exit is coming up. It looms ahead, and she struggles with indecision.
I give her a nudge, and she jerks the steering wheel at the last moment. Angry horns blare behind us. A funeral home passes on our right, and
I feel a tug.
I'm in the back pew next to Mitch. I guess Ruby doesn't need me anymore. A closed casket lies at the front of the long room, adorned with a picture of an older gentleman and large bouquets of white flowers. A podium stands behind it, where a preacher addresses the crowd in somber tones.
Mitch doesn't believe in God. At least, he doesn't think he does. Mitch believes in facts, and the fact is that the man in that casket is dead. He's not floating around the heads of the people in the pews like a trapeze performer.
He's angry. Jule, his sister, called him two days ago, and he was in the midst of a breakthrough. He works at CERN, and doesn't have time for this. The plane ride was terrible. A couple sat beside him, and brought their newborn child on the flight. It wouldn't stop screaming. He couldn't stand the movie that was playing; nobody knows how to write a goddamn thing anymore. The pseudo-science was laughable at best. He tried to open his laptop and work instead, but his ear buds wouldn't drown out the child.
Being in people's heads can be exhausting sometimes.
Jule is in one of the front pews like the rest of Mitch's family. He hasn't seen anyone in five years. He doesn't know if he can face them right now, but I'm here for a reason. I wouldn't be here if he hadn't made up his mind.
The preacher asks if anyone else has words to share.
Mitch stands and brushes off his pants, the scribbled paper clutched in his fist. I follow him. A gasp comes from his mother as she sees him walk by. He pauses and gives her a tentative kiss on the cheek. He smiles at Jule, and pushes back the guilt. He's here, and that's enough for now.
The casket is large, and stained a dark cherry. Mitch brushes his hand over the wood, and picks up the picture frame.
The man sits on the porch in a rocking chair, drinking spiked lemonade. He wears a Hawaiian shirt, and white socks peek underneath his Velcro sandals.
A stone drops in his chest. He was the one who took the photograph.
Wind forces me back towards the exit. I grab a pew bench to stop. My hands are translucent, and my feet are swept out from under me. I force them back down to connect with the floor. Mitch still stares at the photograph, frozen.
I know he can do this. I won't let him down. Working my way from bench to bench, I latch myself onto the casket.
I grab Mitch's hand.
He sets the picture down.
His shoulders shake, and I take them. Turn him around. He walks up to the podium on his own. The crowd stares at him, most of the faces familiar. The wooden ledge is tight in his grasp. He takes a deep breath.
"My father was a wonderful man."
