What's an average day in Khare's life?

Just when most people's days are coming to an end, Khare's has only just begun. Starting fresh at 8pm, she has a quick shower before towelling off and getting ready for her shift at the diner. From Monday to Saturday, she works between the hours of 12am to 8am, quite literally the graveyard shift according to people in Gotham.

Upon arriving at the diner, whoever's on shift passes on any and all updates before clocking off themselves. After the Scarecrow's recent attack on the Grand Avenue, Pauli is unable to work nights until having made a full recovery from Jonathan's fear gas so it's up to night staff to get prepped for the upcoming day and this is where Khare comes in, preparing meals for the early morning rush. There's more to her shift than just prepping meals - there's last night's dishes to be washed and put away, the floor to be swept, the counters to get wiped down and that's not counting the kitchen itself with multiple machines and cook tops to scrub. Pauli prides himself on owning the best diner this side of Miagani Island and Khare works hard to maintain standards of cleanliness, to ensure that the food is as fresh as can be and up to expectations. The first few hours usually involve cleaning, taking overnight deliveries of milk and other supplies requiring chilling on top of serving customers looking for a bite to eat at this ungodly hour. Pauli's Diner is a 24/7 joint whose doors are always open after all, so she often has to stop what she's doing in order to whip up a quick meal before getting back to what she was previously doing. At this time of night, she'll cook just about anything providing the ingredients are avaliable so it's a good time to eat if people want to avoid the crowds. 4am is usually when the rush begins. Right before dawn, the GCPD are winding down from a long night of tackling crime and tend to be (very) hungry. Pauli's Diner is one of their favourite places to hit up, looking for hearty meals in place of dinner and that's when the bacon and eggs start cooking. Pancakes, waffles, fried breakfasts - you name it, Pauli's got it and Khare will be busy cooking at this time on top of serving pots of strong coffee and tea. After this, things quieten down for a bit, long enough to get things cleaned up and the next round of meals prepared. Muffins, biscuits, cakes and bread rolls will be baking in the ovens at this time so that people in a hurry can take a quick meal with them on their way to work, making for a pretty versatile menu suitable for most early risers who don't have the time to dine in. By the time 8am rolls around, Khare's cleaned two or three times and prepared the majority of morning meals in time for Pauli himself to arrive and take over for the day. He's gotten better since the attack but can't come in until daylight due to lingering effects of fear gas, meaning Khare might not get to leave until later during the winter months until he's ready to handle things for the day. After clocking out, the rest of the day is hers to do as she pleases until her shift repeats at midnight. Thanks to being experimented on, Khare has little need of sleep, only lumbering two or three hours at a time (which is fine by her - the nightmares are awful) so there's plenty of time to do whatever. Blending into the crowds, reading at the library, feeding the birds at the park, visiting the local malls and so much more, Khare will happily spend as much time as she can outside of her nasty little apartment, only spending long enough there to have a shower and a short nap before work and on days off, spends time with a coworker like Cindy, watching a movie at her place or at the cinema.

I definitely see him as neurodivergent as well! Flowey/Asriel seems to have an issue with social interactions, he tries too hard to make the other happy, he thinks less of himself and more on the other to an unhealthy degree, he thinks that's what you're SUPPOSED to do to make someone be your friend (this is being better explored with Ralsei, who is very obviously connected to Asriel). I have to say, this is something I relate to a lot lol

Flowey/Asriel seems to be hypersensitive, and Flowey's defense mechanism is to stop feeling all together and be cruel, but an act of kindness or even seeing someone he cares about suffering (toriel in the ruins, the winter clock dialogue) can make all of those repressed emotions come out very easily. Obviously I don't relate to the 'flowey kills people' part lol, but the 'being hypersensitive and suffering from it on the past so you learn to repress everything and turn cold' is something I also immensely relate to

Flowey is neurodivergent for other reasons as well. He very obviously suffers from trauma. I can see him having a dissociative disorder as well (something I deal with as well), his situation might make him feel incredibly detached from reality due to trauma sometimes, the god-like powers really don't help either. If you don't know much about dissociation, look no further than Night In The Woods to have a very good example of how it feels like

Flowey also suffers from depression, I won't talk too much about that because it can be triggering for many, but you know exactly why I think that

This one is not brought up as much I think, but Flowey/Asriel probably has anger issues? Correct me if I'm wrong in this one! as I don't personally have them

Anger issues get demonized frequently, so let me make it clear, I am in no way saying this character would have them to make them 'more evil or cruel', I am saying that they are a response to his trauma. It wasn't Flowey's anger issues or trauma that made him start killing people. It was because he got bored. Flowey is supposed to reflect the player, and having these god-like powers is not going to help a kid that needs a lof help

In a lot of my content I always try to specify 'sometimes Flowey gets frustrated easily, this upsets him because "he wants to be better", but he realizes that having these issues doesn't make him a bad person, he has to adapt to them and he learns to be happier like this'

I also make Deltarune Asriel go through this same arc, I hope to see the canon DR Asriel being complex

A soft smile etched onto [Name]'s lips as his [Eye color] eyes looked at the body pressed close unto his form. Right arm wrapped at the sleeping form of the blond haired male as he looked at the face of the other layed beside him.

"Good morning," [Name] softly murmured, knowing full well that the supposed to be sleeping male was awake. And he was right. The blond merely replied a soft and tired groan on his greeting. Chuckling softly, the [Hair color] haired male brought the blond close to him. His other arm wrapping the other's form as he murmured soft nothings onto the blond's form.

"Come on, loser," [Name] mused at the other. "Get up, we need to get ready for the day," the blond merely groaned again.

"If it wasn't for that almost close reference of Mean Girls, I would have hit you," Sebastian had grunted, eyes shut close but a smile on his lips as he nuzzled his face onto the [Hair color] haired man's neck. Sebastian heard the other man chuckle at his reply as he felt his back being traced with fingers by [Name], drawing patterns.

"So, you mean that if I did not try to quote Mean Girls, you would have hit me?" [Name] had asked.

"Yes," came Sebastian blunt reply. [Name] couldn't help but chuckle at the blond's answer as he brought the blond closer to his body. "Not because you feel at least an ounce of love for me?" [Name] had asked as he took a deep inhale on Sebastian's scent. A content hum leaving his lips as his partner still smelled-- oddly enough-- as that lavender and vanilla scent he grew to adore.

"No, not because I love you, you dork," Sebastian had said as he opened his eyes as he felt [Name] ceased to draw patterns on his back but instead had his hands, well, at least one of them, to be entangled on Sebastian's blond hair. The [Hair color] haired man softly running his fingers on Sebastian's scalp, making the man softly sigh. Content the blond was as he pressed himself more closer to [Name].

"I love you," [Name] softly murmured onto Sebastian's ear. The blond merely rolled his eyes as he wrapped his arms around the other's body.

"Gee, I do hope so," Sebastian sarcastically said. "It would be very awkward if you don't. Being married for three years and all," the blond mused as a soft smile on his lips as he heard [Name] chuckle.

"My Jove, has it been three years? It feels like yesterday we just had our wedding," [Name] had softly murmured as he placed a soft kiss on Sebastian's forehead. A groan leaving the [Hair color] man's lips when Sebastian scratched his unclothe back.

"Stop being so sappy," Sebastian had retorted as he backed away a bit to look at [Name]'s face who merely sent him a grin. "It's too early in the morning for it."

"I can't help it, love," the [Hair color] haired man softly said as he saw Sebastian's eyes soften at his nick name for the other. "I still can't believe that I had managed to catch such a handsome and loving husband after all," [Name] said which made Sebastian let out a laugh.

"Such a sappy dork you are," the blond mused as he sat up, [Name]'s hand getting off of him as he also unwrapped his own arms off the other as he did. Looking down at the [Hair color] haired man laying beside him, a soft smile on Sebastian's lips as his blue eyes stared lovingly at the other's [Eye color] ones.

"I love you, dork," Sebastian had softly said as he leaned down, putting his hand on the other's chest as he connected his lips with [Name]'s.

"I love you too, Sebbie," [Name] cheekily said as he and the blond parted. Not missing Sebastian's eyes rolling at what he had called the blond.

"Stop calling me 'Sebbie'," Sebastian said, a small hint of annoyance in his tone but [Name] didn't mind it.

"Your boss can call you that but not I? Your beloved lover? How cruel," [Name] had said as he smiled when Sebastian sent him a small glare.

"Beloved? As if you dork," Sebastian had jokingly said. "But you know how Jim is," the blond had said as he saw [Name] nodded.

"How is he by the way? I haven't heard of him since that time he visited because he was... um... bored," [Name] stated as Sebastian groaned at that memory.

To say the least, the blond's boss was an... eccentric man.

The 'Napoleon of crime' as what others seemed to say as Jim was the consulting criminal and arch enemy of the consulting detective, Sherlock Holmes. A very dangerous criminal mastermind.

'And a cock block.' Sebastian annoyedly thought as he remembered that time Jim visited the two. Sebastian and [Name] were making out on the couch of their living room and things were going more heated as each second pass. It would have ended with the two making love it if wasn't for Jim slamming the front door and shouting how bored he was. Not even paying mind [Name] and Sebastian in a very intimate position on the couch, looking at him both shock and annoyance as the criminal merely strolled in and went to the kitchen to get something to eat.

"My Jove, he was such a cock block," Sebastian bluntly said. Tone laced with annoyance from remembering that memory. [Name] only sent Sebastian a grin and shaking his head.

"He was, wasn't he?" A soft chuckle leaving his lips as he too remembered that day. It was quite awkward that day was, but Jim was an interesting man and he enjoyed talking to the consulting criminal. As long as the criminal doesn't get his husband hurt or killed, he was fine with what ever the dark haired man does.

[Name] code of ethics were rather on the grey area. This was probably why he wasn't that freaked out when he had found out that the man he was dating for years was an assassin before he had asked the blond to marry him. [Name], to say the least, was also a very eccentric man. On some occasions that is. And Sebastian adores it.

"He absolutely was," grumbled Sebastian as he heard [Name] chuckle again. "I still can't believe he had done that... that ass," said the blond as he felt the [Hair color] haired man ran his fingers on his arm.

"Well, we could continue where we left off that day... and maybe a second from last night?" [Name] teased as he sent the blond a knowing smile. Sebastian looked down at him as he rolled his eyes.

"Hm, let me think about it," said Sebastian as he pretended to think for a moment. [Name] humming as he grabbed Sebastian's hand that was on his chest and intertwined with his. The [Hair color] haired then move their intertwined hands close to his face as he placed a gently kiss on the blond's hand.

Sebastian smiled at the other's soft and gentle actions as after a second or so, the blond moved a bit. Moving himself on top of [Name]'s stomach as he sent the man a smirk. Squeezing [Name]'s hand that was on his as he placed his other hand on the [Hair color] haired man's chin. Tilting [Name]'s head a bit as Sebastian leaned down and placed his lips with the other.

"Let's continue where we left off," Sebastian whispered as he parted from the kiss. He felt [Name] squeezed their intertwined hands as he placed soft kisses the [Hair color] haired man's jaw.

"This is quite a sweet morning," [Name] softly said as Sebastian hummed.

"Quite sweet," muttered Sebastian as he continued. "I'll be getting fucked and received some fantastic aftercare after this," he said as he heard [Name] chuckle. Feeling the other hand of [Name]'s placed on his back and began drawing patterns.

"How shameless of you to say such a thing," rolling his eyes at that, Sebastian pulled away and leaned back. Sending the [Hair color] haired male a grin.

"That won't be the only shameful thing you'll be hearing," Sebastian teased as he saw [Name] smiled. The [Hair color] haired sat up as Sebastian adjusted to his new position. The blond placing himself on the other's lap as he let go of [Name]'s hand on his and instead wrapped both of his arms on the other's neck. His hand playing with the [Hair color] locks of [Name] as he looked at the other in the eye.

"Now, hurry up, we need to continue where we left off after all," Sebastian said as [Name] chuckled. Snaking his hands on Sebastian's hips as he leaned close to the other. Placing a soft yet passionate kiss on Sebastian's lips.

"Yes... let's continue, love," muttered [Name] through the kiss as Sebastian pulled the [Hair color] haired male more closer to him.

The Signs as things I wanted to be when I grow up

[This has literally been in my drafts since December because I wasn't sure if each option matched with the sign I chose but whatever (it's also a long post again, oof)

♈ Aries: Be part of the army. I was quite fascinated by the idea of guns and protecting the nation and actually getting my life together. I was actually thinking about it for quite a while until I realized that in order to get accepted (at least according to the Greek system) you need to have excellent grades (especially maths/physics), to be taller that 165cm and to be excellent in sports. Guess what, I don't understand physics/science/chemistry, I've been about 158cm for the past 3 years and the only two sports I'm good at are badminton and tennis (while you need to be good at running, swimming and things like that I guess 😕)

♉ Taurus: A chef/baker. Cooking and baking always seemed pretty fun. I would always sit by my grandma whenever she cooked/baked goodies and observe the whole process. I also got inspired by the movies "The Princess and the Frog" and "Ratatouille" and thought that one day I could possibly come up with my own recipes and open my own restaurant. But while growing up I realized that I can't cook properly when I'm stressed/multi-tasking (I'm capable of burning the food AND the kitchen if I get slightly distracted, ooof)

My mom told me that from the age of three I would always pretend to talk to an audience and answer questions from the callers or announce news/talk about the weather. Maybe that explains why I talk to thin air (as if I was a YouTuber) about anything and everything when I'm alone. Though it sounds cool, I don't really think I could do it now because I have social anxiety.

♋ Cancer: A writer. I really like writing, I don't know why. Authors have been inspiring me since my childhood, I remember I used to read so many books and try to write something of my own based on it. 😅 I like taking notes and then re-writing them more neatly. I like re-doing old homework in a different style and see if I have improved. I really like writing in a diary/a bullet journal too, I feel like it's much better than bothering others with my problems anyway. I also love coming up with random scenarios/stories/characters and writing about it but I don't know if I should share it. Idk, sometimes I feel like my writing is a bit boring or that it's nothing that impressive. So, honestly, if more people took writers seriously instead of thinking it's a hobby as it doesn't always pay well (when did the world even start revolving around money that much, oml) and if I was more confident about my work I'd definitely chose to become a writer/author (I'm still keeping it as a hobby no matter what I end up doing, lol).

♌ Leo: A model. Omg, I honestly don't know why I even thought of it. Probably because I really liked watching ANTM when I was younger (and I specifically chose the American version because the one we have in my country makes me cringe a lot, just hearing girls from my school talking about it is painful). My friends also liked the outfits that I put together or how I would always pose for pictures (a few years ago, I'm too awkward now asdfghjkl). Looking at it now it's just so funny. There's literally so much competition in the name of beauty, the community can get kinda toxic sometimes and the standards are pretty high. Also I'm way too short and I still can't walk like a normal person when wearing high heels lol.

♍ Virgo: A teacher. Specifically, a teacher for elementary or even kindergarten. Back then, the concept of teaching seemed pretty fun to me and I had lots of ideas about how to make class more interesting. The thing is that I have good chemistry with most kids and I actually kinda dislike teenagers because of how rebellious we can get when it comes to school (idk but like teens in my country are like pretty rude to everyone 😐). I'm not so sure about it now, though it's still an option.

♎ Libra: A psychologist. I always liked helping others out and offering advice when they're having a tough time and I was also curious to see what makes each person feel angry, sad or stressed and the way they respond. It's also interesting because you can learn a lot about someone's personality, preferences and way of thinking or understand what caused someone to commit a crime. I still really like psychology and it's one of my main options for uni. The only problem is that psychology is pretty much overrated in my country so people say it's best to choose something else. 😒

♏ Scorpio: A criminologist. And, surprisingly, I still want it. I was always intrigued by things that required research, was interesting in learning what caused a murder/crime to be committed and I would always watch crime thrillers with my dad. I also like it because it's a field of Sociology which is one of my favorite subjects. I'm just hoping finals aren't super difficult so I can get accepted in the college that I want on the first try lol.

♐ Sagittarius: A flight attendant. Back then I found it kinda fun, as I was always curious about what going on a plane is like. It could also be because of their outfits (like the ones you see in movies or in Britney's MV for Toxic, idk why 😅). Plus I would get to travel around the world without paying as much as the passengers. But then, at the age of 14-15 I got on an airplane 4 times and I saw that it wasn't really like the movies and that literally everyone ignored the flight attendant so yeah, it's not an option anymore. ✈️

♑ Capricorn: A fashion designer. So because I would always draw and constantly ask for new crayons/markers and other art supplies, my mom bought me a few coloring books that focused on fashion. It came along with stickers, stencils, ideas for Victorian dressses, advice for how to design lace or mermaid tail dresses and I was so impressed. A few years later, my grandma showed me a few dresses that she had made for my mom when she was younger (which were so gorgeous like I'm definitely going to wear one of them on my graduation day) and taught me sewing. I also got to see these small floral designs that you usually see on lingerie and it was so pretty, I wish I could do it as perfectly as her. I decided to follow my grandma's advice and keep it as a hobby instead (because she ended up doing nothing but designing clothes and repairing them which she regrets 🧵🧶).

♒ Aquarius: An astronaut. This was pretty random, I have to admit. I guess I really liked space and looking at at the stars in the night sky. I read a few books about space and learned a few things about NASA back in elementary too, though I realized that it's something I could never really do, as you have to sacrifice a lot. I'm still fascinated by this profession but there's no way I could ever do it, since I can't even understand basic physics or mathematics. 🤷‍♀️

♓ Pisces: An artist. Honestly I didn't really care if most artists didn't get recognition/fame or if they didn't earn enough money, I just wanted to make art because I liked it. It's also fun because while you are expressing your thoughts through an art piece, another person might interpret it differently, based on their likings and thoughts. Art also plays an active role in my life: I've been drawing and painting since I was 5 and I would always watch the show with Bob Ross on TV with my grandma. Instead of completely giving up on this idea, I thought that I could choose another profession (also my family didn't really like the thought of me doing art for a living 😐) and keep art as a hobby.
