#I love Mitchell T_T
Note
Hey! Hope you're having a fab day <3 I came across your lil Daemon/Matt 'crackfic' and it gave me such a giggle...plus also got me thinking about a similar scene with Aemond/Ewan..! Obviously no pressure to write this, but what about a sorta Aemond x reader scene where they're maybe filming a sparring scene? Fight training/flirting vibes? Doesn't have to be anything spicy, maybe just fluffy flirty good times but also realistically aemond x reader sparring = *sexual tension* so lol, take from it what you will. As I say, no pressure at all to write this. I love your blog so much and am such a fan of your work! Wishing you a wonderful weekend xoxo
Choke 'Em
Ewan Mitchell x Actress!Reader (low key Aemond x Reader)
Summary: You and Tom were very much convinced that Ewan is good at everything, so you had a bet that even if you took Ewan surprise in one of your sparring takes, he could 100% overpower you. Things don't necessarily go as planned.
Word Count: 1k+
Warnings: fem!reader, drama instigator!tom glynn-carney, puppy!ewan, idk how to choreograph action 😞, fluff, typos, etc.
A/N: YES IN A MILLLION LANGUAGEs, i watched like this one of 3 actors from the last kingdom saying they think ewan is good at everything or something along the lines, and then theres this gif set of tom glynn-carney saying that he was going to bite ewan and ewan was basically "aw yeah!" and ASFHLASHFHASFHFHA PUPPY im love him, anyway, i had those stuff in mind when i wrote this i hope you like it my love floofdeloop. i did an express pass on your req cos i have been writing rpfs lol also this gif T_T HES SO ??????????? HOT ????? HELP ME WHY DO I THINK THIS OF HIM ???? HWELP? Tagging: @pinksirensong @deniixlovezelda
Tumblr media
"No!" I exclaim, shoving Tom from the floor we were sat on. He nearly chokes on his salad as he falls to his side and laughs. His hand darts out to keep him upright, his laughter dies down when he turns to me.
I continue, "I can't attack him outside of the choreography we practiced!"
"I'm not telling you to do that!" Tom says, raising his voice in amusement, "I'm saying maybe just-" he breathes out through his nose, "go a bit harder than normal? Or-or add a few licks to-"
"Tom," I deadpan.
"Oh, please," he blows a raspberry, "against him? You're dead meat."
"He's not immune to accidents, lame brain," I take the final bites of my sandwich.
"All I'm saying is, Ewan is probably, like, secretly a swordsman."
"Dude," I point, "there's nothing secret about that."
I look out to the set, watching as Ewan, who quickly finished his lunch to rebuff on our choreography, twist the prop sword in his hands with much ease and mastery.
I chew slowly, "maybe I could tell him I'm doing extra attacks beforehand."
Tom, who stuffed some salad into his face as he too watched Ewan from afar, turns to me, perking up in intrigue. He speaks with a mouthful quite excitedly, "yes, yes, yeth, weth!"
I give him a look then purse my lips as I shove a tissue to his mouth
When we got to filming the dialogue part of our scene, we already set a pretty high bar for our consequential fight sequence, and so when I offered the idea of adding an extra few jabs in my sword fighting, not just to Ewan, but to our fight choreographer and director, they were all on board with it.
"I was thinking I could," I start, raising my imaginary weapon up, pointing at Ewan, "try to jab at you by your throat, then," I slowly step forward, twirling the way we did in practice, "once you evade me, I could elbow you," I bring my arm by his chest and slowly push him back, "and shove you against the wall."
Ewan, following my train of thought and movements, steps back and leans back on the wall. He nods, looking down at me with a soft smile, "I like it," he turns to the choreographer, "I think it adds to their tension."
I turn to our choreographer and director, nodding, "then we could add the dialogue we scraped off cause there was no room for it."
The director claps his hands, "I love it," he motions to us, "then you can grab her, and try to make her confess."
I turn to Ewan, leaning back into him a bit so that he could bring his arms around me. I turn front then look down at his arms that were coming around me. I pull him tightly around me like a jacket.
Ewan has no choice but to lean into me; my back was against his chest and I could hear his breathing. He was a welcome presence in all honesty. Quickly, I relax against him and he seemingly does the same against me.
"Well obviously not like that," the director calls, "you look like a married couple if you do that."
We break into a laugh. I lean against him, "it's not too late to change the script. She and Aemond could away together."
Ewan hums, as though he was in character, "I think he would like that."
I snort, turning to Ewan and his eyepatch, "I would like that."
Ewan's eye darts down to me quickly. He purses his lips, holding back a chuckle. I pull away from him when I see the pink in his skin, laughing a bit louder.
"Shall we give it a go?" the director asks.
One nod later, and were back in our marks, ready to tryout our added choreo.
"You lied to me," I heave, "you told me you would release my father if I gave you the information you needed.
Aemond walks over to me, hands behind his back, "I said I would think about releasing your father."
My expression drops, my nostrils flare, "liar."
He hums.
"Craven!"
He chuckles.
"MONSTER!" I lunge towards him and the next second, Aemond has his sword unsheathed. We go against each other, weapon against weapon, then he overpowers me, sending me reeling back. I push against the crates behind me, as the prince calls out, "let me offer you another deal you surely cannot refuse."
I fume, groaning, "I think we're past deals, oh prince."
"Oh, but I-"
Aemond's eye widens as I press forward a few lines too early. Like clockwork, I attack him just like we practiced earlier, except, he was clearly taken off guard and reacts a bit too late.
Once I have him pressed against he wall, he looks down at me, shocked, heaving.
He's forgotten his line.
I make up for his silence, "perhaps you are prettier up close."
"CUT!"
I pull away from Ewan, turning to him, dropping my prop. I reach out to his cheeks, giving him a worried look, "are you okay? I didn't injure you, did I?"
"I-" his hands come up to my wrists, "no, no," he chuckles under his breath, "I was just a bit floored by how fearsome my lady is."
My face contorts into a smile, "my lady, am I?"
"I-" he opens his mouth, "well, I mean... yes."
We both break into a chuckle. It seems we both had blood rising up our necks now.
"That was amazing!" the director calls, walking up to us, making us pull away, "I like these turn of events more than what we had planned."
"What if they have more contact?" Ewan pipes up, coming in front of me, "in this part, instead of being turned back," he looks at me intently, "you can lift your sword to my neck then choke me."
I gasp when he takes my hand and places it by the base of his throat. It was quite softly spoken, but it seems it was not soft enough, "damn, that's kinky."
Ewan's jaw slacks.
I break into a chuckle, playing it off, just as the director laughs, proceeding to say, "I like it! The more sexual tension the better." He turns to me, "choke him real good."
Ewan begins to stutter. My own jaw slacks as I feel my face heat up. I awkwardly nod and salute, "will do."

Writer Interview
Tagged by @my-favourite-zhent nearly 3 weeks ago and I've entirely missed the wave.
I've enjoyed reading so many interesting ones by my mutuals! Tagging (only if you're keen) @graysparrowao3 @coreene @say-lene @luvwich @grossestjay —and if I've missed your interview somehow, tag me in the comments!
Q&A after the cut—
When did you start writing?
I wrote my first fanwork at age 12. It was self-insert fanfiction with me and 2 of my friends in the Slayers anime universe, which meant it was several comedic sketches strung together with with lots of actions denoted by asterisks and emoticons. You know the ones ^_^ ^____^ @_@ T_T *slaps you gently with a trout*
We printed it out on someone's home printer and bound copies in plastic school folders with a two-hole punch. I've lost the original file ages ago, but I would love to read it again.
Are there different themes or genres you enjoy reading than what you write?
When I was younger, I actively sought out "difficult stories" because I wanted to experience things beyond my day to day life. I read Nabokov at 16 because everyone kept saying Lolita was a dangerous book. I also read a lot of Chuck Palahniuk and Bret Easton Ellis without really understanding them.
My pretentiousness definitely peaked in my university days. My dating profile at the time listed: Herman Hesse, Kazuo Ishiguro and Mikhail Bulgakov.
Now that I'm older, I read and write stories primarily to make myself happy.
Is there a writer you want to emulate or get compared to often?
I'm not remotely at the level where I get compared to any published writers.
My favourite contemporary writer is David Mitchell (of Cloud Atlas fame), and my favourite book by him is The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet.
My favourite "classic" novel is The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin.
Can you tell me a bit about your writing space?
I type at my desk, in a study shared with my partner. Sometimes if the scene is particularly spicy or they are gaming too loudly, I take the laptop to the living room.
What's your most effective way to muster up a muse?
Bouncing plot bunnies off others on Discord, talking a walk or a long train ride, playing an immersive video game and rotating characters in my head for hours afterwards.
Are there any recurring themes in your writing? Do they surprise you?
According to my lovely readers:
"Romantic and sweaty"; "two silly sausages frying in a pan" (thanks to my long time beta-reader @littleplasticrat)
"Purity, temperance, glimpse of [the] ability for real love / real forgiveness" (thank you @tellmeallaboutit!)
These did surprise me a bit when they were first pointed out but it makes sense—I've been accidentally writing Regency romances and repressed idiots in love without setting out to do so explicitly.
What is your reason for writing?
I put aside hobbies for many years because of my work (no matter what advertisers want you to believe—doomscrolling is not a hobby). Started doing more creative things during my sabbatical last year, and writing was one of the things that saved my broken corpo soul.
Nowadays I'm really into bread making and cooking in general. I'm trying to balance work and creative pursuits and I'm much happier overall.
Is there any specific comment or type of comment you find particularly motivating?
Any and all comments are received with love <3 <3 <3 I really enjoy it when people let me know what lines really resonated with them or point out motifs I'd snuck in.
How do you want to be thought about by your readers?
Friendly and approachable! Not entirely hyperfixated on That One NPC from a Video Game with Five Lines (that one might be harder now...!)
What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?
A fairly broad vocabulary, including anachronisms, which is useful for fantasy story settings. Writing characters who are actively lying to themselves (thinking one thing and saying/doing another).
My writing tends to be on the more contemplative side and a bit sadder and slower paced, so if you enjoy A Great Deal of Yearning along with your smut, then it would appeal to you :)
How do you feel about your own writing?
I'm pretty happy with it! I write very, very slowly, with constant edits as I go, and would probably starve if I ever had to rely on my fiction writing to be paid. Luckily, I get to do this as a hobby.
When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, or do you write purely for yourself, or a mix of both?
I write for myself, but I am also super blessed to have a very small but vocal audience that I can interact with directly. I guess my best advice is: Write for yourself and your 10 friends who want to read your hand-bound home-printed self-insert fanfic <3

This post was long overdue! I can’t believe I haven’t done this sooner, but here’s part two of the very first post I made on this lovely site, random Bob’s Burgers facts that no one asked for but I’m sharing/reminding everyone of because I can:
—Apparently, when Gene was a toddler, Bob had to watch him, and he somehow managed to eat a fern under Bob’s watch. Where did this fern come from? Who knows?  ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯  Bob was very worried and thought Gene would die or get really sick, but he was fine. Gene has an iron stomach for real. This tidbit is as mentioned in Season 3, Episode 15, O.T. The Outside Toilet.
—Gene is the only Belcher with visible ears, and they’re adorable 🥰 I still don’t know how Bob’s hair manages to completely cover his, but it does.
—Real life fact, but 9/3 is not only Bob and Linda’s anniversary, but also Loren Bouchard and his wife’s anniversary! That’s where he got the date from. How adorable.
—Linda’s birthday is June 3, making her a Gemini. Tina’s birthday is March 30, making her an Aries. Gene is a Sagittarius, making his birthday sometime in either late November or December. I like to say his birthday is December 19, because that’s one of my friend’s birthdays :3
—Linda’s high school was called Cardinal Genarro High School, and one time, there was a pumpkin carving contest. Linda didn’t want Gayle to feel bad for losing to Linda’s amazing pumpkin, so she tried smashing her own pumpkin. Gayle followed her, though, and because of a series of events, they ended up destroying the entire table, which they swore to keep secret until well into adulthood (Season 12, Episode 3, The Pumpkinening).
—Linda’s hometown is a made-up town called Hunkawtaway.
—Linda once had Jury Duty on St. Patrick’s Day and wore a green blazer to court.
—Tina’s favorite flowers are Gardenias, as revealed in Season 5, Episode 11, Can’t Buy Me Math.
—Tina owns cat pajamas as seen in Season 4, Episode 9, Slumber Party, and that’s very important to me.
—Gene has brown eyes, which he most likely inherited from Bob. In the comics, Tina’s eye color is revealed to be blue, which she might have inherited from Linda.
—According to Gene in Season 11, Episode 2, Worms of In-Rear-Ment, Louise has always wanted to see Machu Pichu.
—Louise has apparently seen “Game of Thrones”. I wonder what she thought of it. Funnily enough, in the Season 4 Wharf Horse two-part season finale, Bob mourned the fact that he’d never find out how the show ended.
—As seen in Season 11, Episode 14, Mr. Lonely Farts, Gene normally hates being alone and thrives off the energy of other people. My poor boy had a whole panic attack when he was accidentally left home alone. However, he ends up using the opportunity to do a rave in Louise’s room with all of her toys, which she usually tells him not to do. It’s also revealed in that episode that Linda has a secret cracker stash, which he infiltrates.
—According to Season 13, Episode 18, Gift Card or Buy Trying, Gene might not like himself a whole lot. He rants about his former friend, Mitchell, saying that he’s loud, can’t really play music, and has no idea how annoying he is, and then comes to a realization, saying they’re exactly the same, so those things might be how he views himself.
—In Season 13, Episode 21, Mother Author Laser Pointer, it’s shown that Bob and Linda used to read Snail & Newt books to the kids when they were young, which is based off the real life Frog & Toad series. It’s so sweet they did this T_T
—Teddy’s favorite color is yellow! Mine is too :D This was revealed in Season 4, Episode 16, I Get Psy-Chic Out of You.
—Teddy’s full name might be Theodore J. McGillicuddy.
—Jimmy Pesto called Jimmy Jr. “Pepper” as a nickname in Season 1, Episode 10, Burger War, a nickname that’s not been repeated since.
—According to Season 3, Episode 20, The Kids Run the Restaurant, Mr. Fischoeder was married for a week. He had a real Grunkle Stan moment.
—As seen in Season 9, Episode 19, Long Time Listener, First Time Bob, Bob loved listening to a radio station with a DJ named Clem when he and Linda first started getting the restaurant off the ground. I think Bob listening to the radio at night and jamming out is very endearing. The same episode also revealed Bob’s hatred for Sweet Potato Fries.
—In Season 9, Episode 16, Roamin’ Bob-Iday, it’s revealed Bob occasionally succumbs to severe burnout from working at the restaurant, but despite that, cooking will always be his favorite thing to do.
—As revealed in Season 7, Episode 7, The Last Gingerbread House on the Left, Bob used to build gingerbread houses with his late mother, Lily. In the same episode, he made mini gingerbread versions of his family, which is the cutest thing ever. He’s the best dad for real.

ty to @theflowergirl for tagging me in this, it feels like 2013 again
Three Ships:
I’ve never been much of a shipper, so I don’t have a great answer for this, but I do feel strong emotions about Gideon/Harrow (Locked Tomb) and Fitz/Fool (The Fitz and The Fool). I also like to see pretty pictures of Ningguang and Beidou  (Genshin Impact) smooching and/or staring smugly into each other’s eyes.
First Ever Ship:
Isaac and Jenna from Golden Sun :o)??
Last Song:
Wait for Me - Anais Mitchell
Last Movie:
Shaolin & Wu Tang (1983). I got really into kung fu movies a few years ago thanks to the boyf, and now we try to go to all of the showings at our local theater. This was the only known 35mm print of this film (!!!!), and it has sooooo many hilarious lines.
Currently Watching:
True Detective (with the boyf) - this is not an endorsement of this show, but it is the truth
I also just finished White Lotus season 2. I’m technically in the middle of watching My Hero Academia, but I had to take a break because shounen is so long. Mostly I don’t watch a lot of shows because I fell into the deep end with podcasts, but I’m trying to work my way back to it.
Currently Reading:
I’m finishing up Diana Wynne Jones’ Year of the Griffin. I didn’t really love the first book in this duology, but I’m enjoying this one a lot more. I was also reading concurrently (and just finished) Persephone Station, which I bought because the cover is pretty. There are some interesting concepts in this book, but almost nothing actually happens. I’m sorry T_T
Currently Consuming:
is this about food?? i just had some black tea with an orange in it. i stole a mouthful of rice out of the rice cooker like an animal.
Currently Craving:
Lils mentioned pizza......I agree. But it’s snowed over in Portland today, so I will settle for...bread
i don’t really know anyone who uses tumblr regularly to tag, lol @songofsunset @moooooogs ??

Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. When he finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw, call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose”. Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of his past, Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who will be chosen to fly it.
TL;DR: Do I recommend it? > Definitely yes. Whether or not you watched the original, yes. But if you loved the original, then most emphatically, yes.
The long of it:
Studio: Paramount Pictures Director: Joseph Kosinski Writer: Ehren Kruger, Eric Warren Singer, Christopher McQuarrie Music: Lorne Balfe, Hans Zimmer, Lady Gaga, Harold Faltermeyer Cast: Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly Runtime: 130 minutes IMDB | RottenTomatoes | Official Site
Watched: at the cinema on May 29th, and in IMAX on June 7th
Reaction: ± What an amazing film! It's both homage and an excellent sequel while being able to be a really great standalone movie at the same time. The story was moving, the characters were compelling, and the action sequences super exciting. The film was narratively sound from a continuation perspective and as a self-contained film. There was, i think, a perfect balance of same and new, of 80s and present. Balance also of comedic and serious. Then watching it in IMAX was a treat, a visual spectacle that i appreciate far more than many other "made for IMAX" kinds of films.
Memorable aspect of the movie: + Action and the practical filming they did for the acrobatic sequences. It really lends the edge of reality and tension which makes watching the flight sequences so edge of your seat compelling. + Casting. First of all, bringing back Tom Cruise AND Val Kilmer. Then Miles Teller as Goose's son? There's something about him (partially costume and make up probably) that harkens back to Anthony Edwards' Goose. + Story. I mean, it better have been since that's what Tom Cruise was waiting for before agreeing to do a sequel. + Acting. The relationships. + The funeral scene. T_T - Was it really necessary to bring down a platform with 2 jets just to act as an elevator for Maverick? :))) I'm sure there could've been a more practical way to do this. + The dogfights. + The romantic subplot. I really appreciated it especially in light of how forced and jarring the one in the original film was.

Here's how to save the world with your family in 10 Points!
As promised, here's the 10 points about The Mitchells vs the Machines! Hope you have fun! :D
1) I'm a substitute primary school teacher: trust me, Linda is 100% right when she says things are apocalyptic in schools.
2) The Brave Little Toaster sequel I didn't think I wanted! 8D
3) I feel Portal ambience music in this shop and I don't like it...
4) One of my friends reminds me a lot of Aaron, especially his love for dinosaurs. Let's just say, he too would complain about dino facts done wrong. ^_^
5) Question: is PAL the only phone brand around? What would've happened if someone had a completely different telephone? Now there's a possibility to explore! ;)
6) This movie has YTP levels of editing and I love it!
7) This movie just exudes neurodivergent energy and I love this too! I REALLY want my entire family to watch it! :D
8) Ever since I've seen Tattletale I had a feeling my old Furbies would go and get me. This is NOT helping! o_o
9) I would give my life for Eric and Deborahbot 5000. They're both so precious! ...why didn't THEY get a golden star too? They're Linda's beautiful baby boys, now... T_T
Tumblr media
10) My university wasn't so fun, now I feel cheated. o_o
Honestly, this movie has been one of the most fun, funniest, most well animated and just plain enjoyable movies from start to finish I've seen in a while! Seeing how this family went through thick and thin to save the world and understand themselves was just a treat: I see this family, I see mine as well. That's a movie you all deserve to see: it's a very amazing experience, and you can tell all the people involved put their heart in making this movie. I highly suggest you to watch it, especially with your beloved ones, the ones you consider family: makes the watching experience even better, trust me. :D

Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: Pitch Perfect (Movies) Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings Relationships: Chloe Beale/Beca Mitchell Characters: Beca Mitchell, Chloe Beale Additional Tags: Explicit Language, OR IS IT, Mild Language, Amy says the F word Summary:
Beca has a Christmas show tonight and decides to use that to profess her love to Chloe. Bechloe Endgame
Firstly, I just wanted to give a big shout out to @redlance (I hope I tagged the right person T_T) and @chloebeale for hosting this years’ Pitchmas. I can only imagine how much work you two put into this and I’m sure I don’t just speak for myself when I say I’m very grateful that you guys created this amazing with getting the assignments out, making sure that we kept you guys in the loop and just with everything. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and I hope you two have an amazing Merry Christmas and Happy New Years.
Secondly, I wrote this in one sitting (I know, bad Amber) so I don’t know if there’s any grammatical errors. Feel free to let me know if you find any.
Now, my original idea was to do mini prompts for 12 Days of Christmas, but I was having issues getting 12 days to fit at least in the same universe. I knew if I continued trying; I wouldn’t get this out on time. I still kind of want to do that 12 Days of Christmas thing, but that is taking a back seat for the time being. Anyway, guess I should stop rambling and just present this to my Secret Santa.
Here’s my contribution to this years’ Pitchmas for @bechloeislegit. This may not be my original idea but it is a song fic, so there’s that. Anyway, I’m not sure if this is what you have in mind and I’m not sure if this is too cliche as I’ve never been in love nor written a love fic but I hope you still enjoy this just the same. It ended up being longer than I thought it’d be so ^_^ Merry Christmas @bechloeislegit and Happy New Years!

wow. went BOOM indeed. lol, he's watching everything explode from his cell and cheering. well, it's certainly exciting, in a way
missed opportunity to use this to make things in gotham better fr. you just had to talk to her!! "we'll keep them occupied so you can keep your promises of changing this city for the better. but if you turn traitor, you'll be next" a more interesting dynamic that fills me with dread, check. actually adressing the "trusting institutions which have historically failed to protect us and have actively made things worse" thing the movie presented without questioning it nearly enough, also check. also i want more paul dano riddler, because i love him.
with gordon in arkham hall. it also would have been interesting if they showed criticism of cops after the "i guess we dont all work for you". even if you wanted to keep the police as an institution (why? they suck at all of their jobs) one instance of unity against a common enemy isnt going to solve the corruption issue. or the fact that they and the carceral system as a whole are ineffective (the threat of imprisonment doesnt actually deter crime, because all the problems that make people turn to crime arent being fixed, obviously)
hehe, selina got infected with heroic impulse and it has overriden her instinct for self preservation. and its for batman! thats very sweet
!!! that violin screech is the same one they used at the start of the movie when riddler jumped mitchell
OOOF, point blank shotgun blast. do not recommend (has never been shot). dude is psyching himself up to kill batman. or stalling. "im about to kill the riddlers crush. he's mowing us down, i have no way of stopping him except killing him. oh god ed is gonna be so sad. im gonna die if he finds out oh jesus" and then catwoman knocks him unconscious. good for him, it was a lose-lose scenario
yay, she saved him and now they're looking intensely into eachothers eyes <3 oh, he tried to get up to keep going and she told him he can rest, its done now 😭😭😭 the tenderness..
girl he's passing out 😡, dont kiss him when he's like this 😭 oh no, there was one left (i know she isnt gonna die, so im not very worried. but i think the very brutal scene is coming)
adrenaline shot aaaand off to the races. he's gonna keep punching! and jim stopped him, because he's a bro. "me? im vengeance" YEEEEEEEEEEEEES
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the movie's thesis statement all tucked up into one little line </3
yes, yes, all the bad people are defeated, whatever. there is still the matter of THE PEOPLE OF GOTHAM. YOU CANNOT BRUTALIZE CRIMINALS AND LEAVE EVERY OTHER PROBLEM TO SOLVE ITSELF. that's not how you make things better, that's how you release your anger and helplessness from your parents murder onto a socially acceptable target. everything else is still the same though.
aaaaaand you've just done a self sacrifice. while your friends watched. not cute bruce. stop treating yourself like this T_T it doesnt make it okay just cause you didnt die
*gasp* here comes the flare scene!!!! he's extending his hand.. they're wary of him AND THE MAYORS KID TAKES IT AAAAAAAAAAAAAA IM GOING INSANE. and then Real and they just keep going. he leads them from the dark into the light. he has become hope 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
aaaaay, nirvana transition again :)

Tagged for this by @rakshadow and I love the idea of this quiz!
Theresa’s result:
love as tenderness[ love as gentleness after a lifetime of cruelty ] when ocean vuong said "sometimes being offered tenderness feels like the very proof that you've been ruined" and when pablo neruda said "like a jar you housed the infinite tenderness and the infinite oblivion shattered you like a jar" and when anais mitchell wrote "all i've ever known is how to hold my own, and now i wanna hold you, too”
This is so fitting for her and Cullen. Especially “love as gentleness after a lifetime of cruelty” and “sometimes being offered tenderness feels like the very proof that you’ve been ruined” T_T These two are such DOERS and that shows through a lot in how they love each other. Very tactile, very soft, with very few words but a lot of lingering looks and gestures of affection and acts of service. When they are together, the rest of the world eases away and they are able to take comfort in simply being. There is no pretense between them. They see and accept each other, loving each other “with eyes wide open” to borrow a line from the film Frida.
A good example of their love in action, from “An Evening In”, found here:
He allowed her to guide him to the floor, with her on the couch behind him, and laid his head back into her lap. A hush stretched, while he heard her slow, trained exhale. He shut his eyes against the magic twitching just above his head, and released a long, slow breath through his nose when frost-tipped fingers came to rest on his temples.
The cold brought welcome relief, and he felt the near-constant tension shrivel away at the touch of his beloved. His jaw relaxed, his shoulders sagged, and the twitch in one eye he hadn’t even noticed finally stilled. Her fingers trailed soft lines across his forehead, down the line of his jaw, then back up to drag through his hair and massage the scalp.
One of her legs uncrossed to drape over his shoulder, the loose hem of the pantleg pushed up to expose the well-toned calf beneath. His hand found its way there, automatically seeking her skin, teasingly light up the line of her shin until she giggled and flinched away.
“Don’t,” she chided, inches from his face. “I’ll lose my focus.”
“Wouldn’t want that,” he murmured, low and husky, eliciting another breathy laugh from above.
Maker, there was no sweeter sound. It always made his chest swell with warmth every time he managed to draw it forth. He would play the fool in a thousand different ways just to hear her laugh over and over, and would die a happy man if he could hear it every day for the rest of his life.
His hand stilled, his eyes opened to see hers dark and heavy-lidded with love from where she smiled down at him.
For the rest of his life.
He reached up, pulling her down until their lips met, soft and unhurried. She sighed into his mouth, one hand snaking around to tilt his head and give her better access. He didn’t break away until they were both breathless, and even then he couldn’t bear to pull back, leaning his cheek against hers.
Then he was moving, rising to press her down into the couch beneath him. She welcomed him, her arms enveloping him to trace down his back, pulling him closer and tugging at the fabric of his shirt as their lips and limbs tangled again.
He braced one arm against the back of the couch while his free hand explored. Memory guided his fingers down the curve of her waist, over the swell at her hips, until it found the hem of her tunic. He reached beneath, craving the feel of her skin from every angle he could reach, trailing feather-light over the rough ridges of burns long-healed across her flank. He didn’t linger, knowing the skin there was over-sensitive, and reached around to splay his fingers across her back.
He wove his other hand through her hair, letting his full weight hold her down, languishing in the closeness of her even as she arched her back to meet him. Neither of them moved with any urgency, keeping their motions deliberate and undemanding.
Soon the sound of rain and flame was lost to panting and whispered endearments as their mouths pressed and parted and played a languid rhythm together. His tongue teased her lips and she gave way eagerly with a delicate whine. She tasted of heavy stew and bitter ale, and warmth.
Her fingers played at the nape of his neck, still cold from her earlier spell, a balm against all the tensions and stresses of out there. Here, alone and together, they were themselves in the truest sense.
Beneath the mantle of duty, the mask of authority, the layers of responsibility, they were laid bare before each other. He knew her, and took a wealth of comfort in the certainty that she knew him in equal measure. Everything, from her scent to how she arched against him, the paths her hands took across his back and through his hair, the quiet gasps and moans she left in his ear, were as familiar to him as his own flesh.
For the rest of his life.
The thought settled deep inside him, sticking to his chest and filling it with something new. It was like the love he felt when he pictured Tess’s face, but stronger, deeper. Steadier. A sense of … finality, but without the dread of inevitability. This was a choice, one he hadn’t meant to make, but now he couldn’t fathom taking it back.

Hey, will you ever finish the blood slave fic? I know it has been literal years, but I keep revisiting it because I think it was so great and I just really want to know what happened to my babies Anders and Mitchell! T_T Love, a dedicated fan!
Hey Nonnie,
yes, that’s the plan. I want to finish all my fics one day, even though it’s been years in some cases
EDIT: I just saw tumblr has cut my reply after the emoticon-face I tried to make with brackets, uuugh! SORRY! So what I was saying was, even though it's been years, I know how I want Blood Slave to end and I have a little bit more written out, I just need to get my lazy arse up and actually edit and finish it all. That goes for all my fics. Uh. I'll probably finish them when I'm old and grey and no one remembers the fandoms anymore.
Anyway. Thank you for this message, and the comments! It's so lovely to know people are still reading my stuff after so long :-)
And sorry again for the half-reply, ugh.

Tagged by @travellingwiththedead :))
Whoever gets tagged answer my 11 questions, tag 11 people and write 11 questions for them.
1. Which Hogwarts House are you?
None. But if I were any, I’d probably be Hufflepuff (like Annie says in the BH pilot, playing with safety scissors and glitter XD)
2. Do you have a favourite book?
Too many to count. Off the top of my head: Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell; The Hobbit by J. Tolkien; Dune by Frank Herbert; the Witches books by Terry Pratchett; The Labyrinths of Echo series by Max Frei, etc.
3. Where would you really like to go to on holiday if money weren’t an issue?
Around the world!
4. If you had a time machine which moment in time would you like to see?
Probably smth out of the early 18th century (for writing research) or Ancient Rome.
5. Tea or coffee?
Tea.
6. Winter or summer?
SUMMER!
7. Which superpower would you like to have? Or which kind of magic if that is more your thing.
Telekinesis. I’m super-lazy sometimes and it’d be awesome to move objects without getting up >_<
8. What would you use your superpower/magic for?
See above XD
9. Night owl or early bird?
Perpetually asleep penguin.
10. Favourite fan fic trope/tv trope?
Enemies to lovers (but again, too many to count, really).
11. Cats or dogs?
Cats. I hopelessly love them even though I’m allergic and can’t have one at home T_T
Tag yourselves, darlings ;)
