Kingdom Hearts is literally my life obsession- though it doesn’t really show much on my blog, lol.

I really enjoy Fire Emblem, Pokemon, and Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires too. Genshin Impact, Harvest Moon/Rune Factory/Stardew Valley… I have several Sims4 games but I haven’t played in a while, lol. I binge for several months and then don’t touch it for years. I recently became obsessed with the Zelda series. I have the early access to Baldur’s Gate 3 and Coral Island.

And I played Obey Me for a while before kind of… stopping because I’m really bad at leveling up cards and I’m only on season three but it’s gotten so hard??? Even though my cards are pretty high level??? And now I’m too scared to open up the app because I know I’ll have over five hundred chat messages to read.

If we wanna talk about CLASSIC Otome games though… hehe…

Hello, Cheritz! Dandelion~ wishes brought to you will always hold a special place in my heart, especially with Jihae and Jieun’s stories because they made me bawl my eyes out. Jihae is my bunny husband. I love him so much. I played all routes to get the Wizard ending. The bunnies had the best stories, though I do… feel bad for Jisoo, mean as he is.

Nameless is another good one by the same company. Momma Tei!!! Who is low key a Yandere!!! In his route. But Lance was my first route in that one. I powered through the other endings to- again- get the Wizard and Doll ending. Nameless is actually hinted to be the prequel to Dandelion.

And, of course? Who can forget Mystic Messenger. I played for Zen and that was it. Same universe, and based on the fact that Zen had prophetic visions, along with the red eyes and silver hair (silver hair being the result of a royal/commoner relationship) and his relationship with his family…

It’s fairly obvious that Zen made a wish for him and his family to live in a world where they wouldn’t be treated like trash for his existence, and had to pay the price with the memories of his family. Their memories of how much they loved him. So now they hate him. It’s super sad. But also Zen got a role where he played Jisoo from Dandelion (and Zen is allergic to cats because he’s originally a bunny boi!).

Ahem. Sorry. Jihae has silver hair and an equally sad backstory so uh. I really like Zen. They’re both adoring sweethearts with bad self esteem.

ANYWAYS TO YOUR OTHER QUESTION

Riddle would be very surprised. Would also probably have flashbacks to when he had a puppy crush on El and realize Rhythm has the exact same taste in people as he does- seeing as she fell for El’s SON.

But his daughter deserves to be queen. Riddle was once the dorm leader of Heartslabyul. He was once the Queen himself. It’s only fitting.

But it does make family gatherings a little awkward, lol. Especially if someone teases him about his dark past. (Malleus will never know)

Saeran’s Passport Package

I’ve been waiting since the 19th to get my hands on this baby and I’m glad that it got here today. It took me a little bit to sit down and go through everything cause I wanted to cry about it the entire time. 

Spoilers Ahead, everyone. So, if you’re not interested in seeing what’s in the Passport set AFTER the events of Saeran’s After Ending, then do not click Read More, got it? I’ve made it clear to you. I will say that it’s worth the money if you’re debating buying it. 

So, we can go over the contents in the box, first as an overview. You receive a letter stamped with a cute sticker as well as the passport itself which holds the notes that Saeran’s been taking and drawing since this all started. I just think that’s cute. My brain said don’t open that passport until we review the letter first so, why don’t we go over the letter first? The little details are really cute. There’s just so many stamps on this baby. 

The little touches are what sell it. You’ve got this man putting his love all over it and there’s a CUTE NOTE of CATS. Sir, was that a touch to Saeyoung? I know you know that your brother is a dork. Homage to brother who is an idiot but too glaringly obvious. It got a chuckle out of me. I know this man, and it’s just getting to me. 

The passport itself is also really cute. It has the art from the promo banner but instead of everyone hustling around together, there’s new poses and all of that jazz. Jaehee isn’t rushing around. Zen’s got a selfie stick, no surprise on that front. Jumin just chilling. Seven and Yoosung... doing what they do best and you know it. RUN, YOOSUNG, RUN.

Saeran and MC... being cute on the inside made me go, “Aw!” Ice cream. They can really just put ice cream and it’s going to make me cry, huh? Really? Is that how easy this is? Am I a joke to you, Cheritz? Is that what this is? 

Now, if you want to talk about the contents in the letter, you get this sheet that is listed in three languages, surprised me, Korean, Spanish, and English, and it lets you tick off little things that you like to do. An itinerary sheet. I feel like this is purely Jumin crafting these. It asks about Cats. Literally. Cats. Wine? Yeah, this is on Jumin. You always come in flex, Jumin, but oh boy, I’m chuckling over here at these little touches. 

You get 2 boarding passes. One with Saeran’s name and one with a blank to fill in your name. I thought that was cute. Tying in that with the CG of the passes in the game with this just makes it more real to me. I’m holding this in my hands and it just makes my immersion feel much more real than it did when I was holding my phone in my hand and playing this out. 

I think merch like this just makes you feel more apart of the story then you do when you’re able to talk and chat, you know? If you really like feeling like you are involved with the game, this is how you do it. You wanna know how I know that Jumin is the one setting this up with Saeran? Flip over the fucking passport and you realize that Elizabeth is on the back.

I’m still laughing. 

I’m trying to imagine this and now, like, I’m starting to see why Jaehee is so damn tired because Elizabeth really is on everything that he can get his hands on and she’s good too many files to sort through when it comes to whatever the photographers take of her. Jumin can’t take photos. He’s either got Jihyun to do this for him at some point, or he’s straight up hiring photographers for her cause he can’t do it. 

I mean, we all know that Jumin will put Elizabeth everywhere but I just— It’s on the BOARDING PASSES? JUMIN! 

There’s also a postcard within the letter that is once more, written in all three aforementioned languages. Saeran says that it feels like a dream when he is with you, like this is where he’s always meant to be. His promise of happiness is made truest when he’s with you. I teared up a little. I know that he means well when he does that but damn, does it take an arrow to the heart every single time he does it. 

Saeran put a lot of thought into this in a very short amount of time. I know that he did this plan likely with the idea that he may not be able to go with us but he wanted us to be able to see the world for him. You know, how he implied that he wanted Saeyoung to see things for him? To live for him? Even if he was dead, he wanted Saeyoung and the player to be happy and free. 

The blurred state on those... doesn’t have names. It doesn’t name Saeran in this photo. 

The implication of his sacrifice with the boarding passes kind of hurts because this is a side note of the fact that Saeran Did Not Know If He Would Live To See This Through. He made it thinking maybe.. if things worked out, it would be an okay future, but this was... God. I just. I’m thinking about the weight of the AE and what that felt like. I almost glossed over the Boarding Pass because I was just so upset with him.

I’m the type to try to sacrifice myself for others, too. I have that in common with Saeyoung and Saeran. 

I think that we’d argue over who should die for the others and while that’s macabre, it’s just the kind of people that we are. We love these people so much that we’re willing to die if they’re safe and sound. Knowing that, I understand what Saeran tried, and even what Saeyoung tries, but it’s hard cause I want to make sure they’re happy in comparison to myself. 

This is where being selfless is a bad thing. 

Does anyone know what a big deal it is for Saeran to have a passport? He’s never had an ID or paperwork in his entire life. If he did, he would’ve been killed, so would his brother. They’re both never had IDs. Unless you count the ones from the Agency and Mint Eye. They’ve got them in the Believer box with their names and faces, but that’s not official. That’s not paperwork that everyone else has. That’s just... 

You know? 

Seeing this tangible thing in my hands is a testament to Saeran Choi being alive and thriving. He’s not afraid of showing his face. He’s living. He’s a free man and nobody can kill him for existing. Does that not weigh on anyone here? It hit me and I wanted to cry. I might break down thinking about this later because I just take this too seriously. Look at him. Look at HIM. Okay? Did you look? Now, LOOK AGAIN.

Okay, I’m not going to share every single page inside of the passport but I will give you little snippets of the journey ahead and show you what he writes and draws. Yes, he’s drawing. I knew that he was talented because he is great at doodling and drawing, but he knows how to have such a cute style that I want to gush about and he probably has no clue about how cute it is because nobody’s ever told him!

Okay, so the trip is broken up over a few months and into segments. You know how I was surprised by the 3 languages? Yes, this passport is written in three languages and it stays that way. It implies that Saeran knows English and Spanish, or at the very least, he’s been studying them, I get that it’s kind of a neat tie in to make sure that all languages are included but I only English and I can only read Spanish, I suck at conversational Spanish, so I could only read the English and Spanish sections. 

So, if anyone wants to throw in what the Korean segments say, please do. I have a rough idea, but it’d be nice to know. The first segment of the trip is spent traveling over Korea. You see the things that he packed in the bag! 

I almost had a heart attack because I thought the vitamins were Caffeine Pills. I was about to beat my Husband and make him go to bed. Thin ice, Saeran. Thin ice, the Special Believer package implied you take more then ten and I want you to go the fuck to sleep at night. 

He packed his hanbok! Look! You remember? From the title screen event? The blue shirt is the one that he matches with MC in. There’s so much I’m screaming about it. 

It shows you things that you do. Like, biking, karaoke, gardens... is there a locket bridge in Korea? You know? If you put them together on a bridge, it’s said that your love lasts forever. I forget where that came from but I guess there must be one in South Korea, too. Oh, and food. Can you believe that he can eat whatever he wants now? I’m sobbing. 

Please.

Okay, here’s the thing. I only have one gripe with the Passport Package and I’m going to say this again at the end, but I really wish that they had included big photos for this because the Passport itself it rather small and I wish that I could have bigger photos of this. It’s my only complaint. Literally, it’s the only thing I have to say about the box that will affect my rating. Look, we’re doing cheesy couple stuff!

God, I wish I wasn’t broke. I would commission someone to do this for my MC. 

The second and third portion of the trip are spent in the U.S.A. and Mexico, I was so surprised by that! New York and Hawaii specifically are what they name and I was. Well, those are really far apart, huh. I mean, those are very popular spots. I’m not surprised. I’m chuckling because he’s got matching outfits. 

Saeran Choi, you really want the embarrassing couple look, don’t you? Well, if it’s for you, I’d do it. Did... Saeyoung or Jumin set us up, are we fucking loaded? There’s mad bank here. 

Saeran and MC basically are living per Jumin and Saeyoung, to be honest, because Saeran’s never had a job and MC is... your MC literally agrees to go and test a game in the woods, how good can our lives be? I’m broke, boy. I ain’t got nothing. So, I like to think that those two are offering to let Saeran be as happy and free as he wants. No expense. Like, kindness. The RFA is too damn much, I’m gonna cry. I’m starting to understand why the RFA didn’t hear from us for months. 

The final Check-In with the RFA is set 6 Months after the events that take place when we save Saeran. The events of this Passport cover 3 months. So, we go back to Korea after this adventure and met up with Saeyoung, because we know that we’re hanging out with him in the conclusion. So, if they haven’t really heard from us, that means that we’ve been traveling more with him. 

I kind of like that. 

We’re spending time with Saeran alone and time with the brothers together, and that’s sweet! I love that. I need to write more about it. 

I’m trying not to laugh about this Mexico portion but it looks like he passed out from an ice tea... lemonade...? It’s surely not alcohol. Maybe too much sugar, I know that crash can hurt. I’ve been there. I just know that you’re not implying the man with alcohol trauma is gonna drink. Nope. Neither he nor Saeyoung ever will do that. I stand by that statement and I’ll die by that statement. Bite me my tongue if I’m wrong, but I stand by that. 

Saeran is at least mindful of the sun. He���s also made notes that the perfect time for sunset is 18:34. Cute. He notes that it’s time for the Day of the Dead as well, so that’s fun!

There’s actually a portion in here where he asks you certain questions and you have the space to fill in it. I like that it’s interactive. 

Do you have favorites sweets? Are there things about yourself that you hide? Did you make sure to ask Santa what you wanted? I’m wheezing. The food doodles are one thing, and the Christmas photo is one thing, but he really drew himself as a butterfly and the MC as a bug catcher.

And, the last page of the passport is us assumedly returning home with all kinds of trinkets and gifts. Flower crown, snow globe, cactus, hats, listen, there’s a lot of details in this photos that I really wish I could have it blown up. 

That’s really my only complaint about the Passport Package. I really want to have bigger photos that are shared. I wouldn’t have minded if it was the photo of the final CG in the game, or the Christmas photo, I really would have enjoyed getting that to have for myself. 

You know? The passport itself is roughly like 5 x 7 or so, so while it’s not big, it’s still like. I would love to see the details blown up. It’s smaller then the diary, that I know for sure. I think it’s the only thing stopping from giving Cheritz a 10/10 on this item. 

I’m going to have to give them a 9.8/10 simply because it feels like we are lacking one big photo. 

I guess I’ll print my favorite CGs and decorate my room like that. But, all and all, I really enjoyed reading this and it made it feel like I was there and I was able to reflect on Saeran’s vacation with the player. Like, he was doing this as we were going using his little doodles... I’m in love with this fucking sap. I’d say that this is worth the money. 

For sure. 

My only gripe aside. That’s a personal problem, not really a content problem. I love this bastard. 

Look at him, he’s GOT A PLUSHIE. I have so many things that I want to write about now thanks to this. Saeran, darling, sweetie, my love, I am dying. Either way, I’m glad this arrived when it did. I needed this. I justified getting this for myself because I don’t expect to get anything for my birthday in early February but I’m happy I have him.

It’s been five years since I found this game in August 2016. I’m happy that it’s been here with me.

Mystic Messenger Saeran’s AE Thoughts (.......And Prayers..) #Spoilerz

Hello, I just finished Saeran’s after ending and I have a lot of things to say and I am going to write it down while I'm still all keyed up about it.

First of all… Please DO NOT ask me how much money I spent to finish this as fast as I did…. I’m grown but my bank account is certainly going to have a good ole fashioned CHUCKLE at this….. It’s been a long quarantine I deserve a lil happiness as a treat methinks!

I have been playing this absolutely insane game since I think 2016? When I first started playing the deep routes had JUST come out I think? And I was just finishing up high school and am now a college grad...lmao

I’ve played all routes at least once except Jaehee but i’ve seen walkthroughs of her route (I’ve heard it makes you hate Jumin and he’s my favorite so um. hehe). V’s and Saeran’s routes I found to be so emotionally intense and just….a lot and I've been waiting a long ass god damn time for this after ending okay…. I would theorize and make up an ending in my head but i’m no writer so it was hard to figure out lol. I’m a Jumin stan mostly but I love everybody and yeah I should probably play that jumin dlc too but I need like a DAY to recover from Saeran’s AE. Enough about me HERE are my thoughts on it overall

Can we please discuss V showing up to the C+R conference room with basically chloroform and made everybody Pass Out like??? I was alone in my room at like midnight just SCREAMING at my phone???? And the creepy ass CG ???? It’s like that gif of sarah paulson from ahs being like “I put arsenic in the wine….and the pasta”

Anyway I screamed at V a lot during this process!!

I love him so much r we serious? He watched his 2 closest friends betray him in the worst way and found out abt how Rika abused Saeyoung and Saeran???? I felt just AWFUL. Terrible ...Terrible….

Rika’s change in demeanor from Saeran's actual route is certainly a Choice. I find her much more bearable this time around and unfortunately i think I was too nice to her and ended up with a bad end LMFAO

I was happy to see Saeran stand up for himself and become stronger and confident. You go king!

The CG of Yoosung laying in Zen’s lap is everything to me…

HOWEVER YUP I sure did get a bad ending and I was so mad fdsafdskfdhsf ! (I would be happy to clarify how I got the good one the second time.) MAKE SURE To SAVE EARLY in days 2 and 3 bc the branches on day 4 is where the bad end will show up. For me it was the first day 4 chat and then a story mode titled “SAVIOR”.... If you see that RUN FOR THE HILLS!!

I was so mad! But I had saved in day 2 and replayed and MANAGED to get good end

I think it was satisfying TO A DEGREE….To see Rika understand where she was wrong, why she was wrong, fess up and even APOLOGIZE! I was very surprised.

Saeran and Saeyoung are Certainly twins with the amount that those two self sacrifice in every route MY GOD…..

The scene with Jumin talking to his father and the other scene of him praying oh my god I cannot tell you how happy I was to see him begin to understand and address his own feelings in a route that was not his own. My main problem with Jumin’s route has always been the trapping MC in his penthouse aspect.. This way Jumin understands love and emotions without being overly possessive !!! YAY also loved seeing him be on good terms with his dad who was surprisingly profound

That last Story mode was Really a Lot…. and Strange things occurred which I will get into in just a minute

Jumin becoming a politician is so funny but ngl … i see it.

I was happy with how they handled it for the most part. I think Cheritz heard our feedback about V’s after ending and was like okay….let’s try something different

HOWEVER

Saeran…. Sweet kind saeran… IS SO AFFECTIONATE HAHA….

He must have said I love you like 300 times…..very mushy gushy flowery language...and maybe that’s just his personality but for me it was like eating cake with buttercream cake. It means well, but god damn is it sugary and going to cause a stomach ache later.

He was just… SO MUCH! SO forward and ON all the time in his affections. I honestly felt kind of smothered and by day 3 and 4 I was sooooo over all the compliments… King you’ve come a very long way, but ur still putting MC on a pedestal and probably need to see a therapist.

Nextly….Rika and V….. Naw that knock out gas really ...that hurt lol. Coming from “I would do anything to protect RFA” V? Idk like…. EYE felt betrayed reading that. It was just hurtful. I can’t even imagine how the members would have felt as they were passing out. It was just so cruel. I suppose I understand why but like?? Just TERRIBLE

Them being in cahoots with the agency and the prime minister..HUH??? Also too much

V just felt so irresponsible like I do understand that he ended up in a weird web of secrets that’s hard to untangle but he’s so fucking stubborn he’s SO stubborn it makes me insane. Like sir… It seems like in other routes he wanted to try to protect Rika and the RFA.. But in this AE it seems more to me that he was like yeah i’m protecting Rika and That’s It… so fucking hurtful to me. Both of y’all apologize ESPECIALLY to the twins and Jumin..

The forgiveness thing…… Okay so I think some people will not like that Saeran decided to “forgive” the people who hurt him (Rika, V, Saejoong, his mother). I would point out that I actually think this was approached somewhat well. He says at one point that he doesn’t think they’re good or bad, just people. I think he sounded mature and like this was the way for him personally to accomplish his healing process. Would I have loved for Saeran to flip V and Rika off and kick Saejoong off a cliff? Yea I really would. But like…. If that’s what HE needs to do to heal then who am I to judge?

HOWEVER…. Everything Eye just said goes out the window when the scenes at the end with Saejoong come up… I was PERPLEXED. Like why did he HUG his deranged father who just kicked the shit out of him??? Also all the chat options that MC has with him r like blah blah you’re like this because no one loves you were so corny to me LMFAOOOO?

AND WHEN HE WAS IN THE ROOM LATER WITH SAERAN… i’m sorry but if that were me I would have called a nurse to deck his ass. Cool he turned himself in YOU SUCK SOOOO BAD AND I NEVER WANT YOU TO COME NEAR SAEYOUNG AND SAERAN AGAIN THANKS.

*scratches ass* I wish I got to see saeyoung and saeran finally sit down and have that first conversation after a long time and hug CG but the ending was fine I GUESS….. I dont care about ROMANCE I want those boys to be happy brothers together

Anyway that was really emotionally exhausting but I fr think I got it out of my system after literal years… And I can rest in peace knowing the choi twins are happy. THATS ALL I WANTED TO KNOW!!!!

What do you think of the route overall?

I’ll put my thoughts under the “Keep Reading” section for people who don’t want to receive spoilers. Will be tagging this post too ^^ 

I will just state this upfront first: I hate Rika, I dislike V, but this doesn’t mean I express any ill will towards Rika or V fans. Just to put it out there yeah. :) You guys just do your thing! And the opinions in this post are purely my own. I’m interested to know what you guys think about this route too :D 

Soooo… where do I begin? 

My rating: 6/10 (wow i feel like a real badass critic now except im not LOL)

I do appreciate the effort that Cheritz spent making this route just for us Saeran fans though. Few game developers actually do stuff like that for their fans and we’re super lucky to have Cheritz. So kudos to the team and everyone who spent months and hours working on this route.

But admittedly, there were things I didn’t like about this route. :\ Still WAY better than V route though. Sigh. (I will talk about V later.)

FYI, I played the Normal and Good Ends for this route.

Okay first off, I’ve always been writing for Saeran as I think he would be after the secret ends take place. And I still think that Saeyoung’s route together with the secret ends is the true ending of the Mystic Messenger game. 

As for Ray route… I don’t think Ray is canon. I may be in denial, and it’s probably a personal preference/opinion, but I feel that the whole concept of “Ray” as a separate persona is really bizarre and I think “Ray” was only created so that there could be some way for MCs to romance him in the first place in his own route. So yeah. Not canon imo. Besides, I think there are quite a lot of issues with the way Saeran’s character developed in this route:

1. Ray?? Saeran?? Who?????

It bothered me that MC kept looking for “Ray” in Saeran (I’m still not sure if those choices yield a bad relationship end like they rightly should) because really. They are the same person. Get a grip, MC. I’m kind of annoyed that they even named it “Ray route” because. 

HIS NAME. IS. SAERAN CHOI. 

I shall not go into a pointless rant into how Saeran seemed to “recover” miraculously as if amalgamation treatment came in the form of a “one true love” aka MC. To be fair, Cheritz only had 11 days for this route and they executed a lot in 11 days already, and I respect them for that.

2. Love: The All-Powerful Cure To Your Life’s Problems

No. Just no.

What Saeran needs isn’t a romantic relationship to base his newfound identity on after moving on from Rika. What he needs, is to reconcile with his brother and to heal together with Saeyoung. 

There were multiple issues with this one though: a) Saeyoung Choi was kidnapped (screw you Saejoong scum), b) In this route, Saeran didn’t seem very bothered at all by the possibility of his brother already being dead, da heck????  

That was super problematic for me because BRUH. First 4 days of the common route Saeran was all “Don’t trust that redhead” bla bla bla. And now he’s like “Oh my brother? Nah he’ll be fine. Hey MC let’s go on a HOLIDAY!” NO. GO. 

I don’t really understand why with the characters in Another Story, it seems like love becomes the cure for everything (still didn’t cure V of his annoying personality though yikes) but that really shouldn’t be the case. At least for Saeran I expected much more to come from a Choi twin reunion but we got none of that. And the After Endings probably won’t cover much either so. Idk. Ugh.

Now plot-wise, I think it was kind of interesting? What with the prime minister and all, since we never got to find out more about him in the secret ends. At the same time, there were some plot holes here and there. Like how V mentioned that Saeran was the one who ran away from him back then, and never elaborated further on that??? When and how the heck did Rika even take Saeran to Mint Eye without V knowing? Why didn’t Rika get the prosecution she so deserved? 

WHY DID V BACKSPACE ON ALL THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT HE GOT IN THE ROUTE ONLY TO GO BACK TO RIKA AND GO BLIND. WHAT THE FUCK. 

I have officially given up on this man. I don’t even want to bother anymore. Here I was, thinking that he was less dislike-able in this route, and then he goes and just- sends himself off to die and suffer because apparently that’s the right thing to do instead of setting the other believers in Mint Eye free from Rika’s bullshit tyranny and having her crimes exposed so that she can be prosecuted, convicted and eventually sent to a mental institution for rehabilitation.

That’s the end of my verbal diarrhoea. I think. Sorry for the long-ass rant. I had too many thoughts and being able to write it all down feels liberating. Gosh. 

I’m still looking forward to the after ending (where I’ll probably be disappointed ugh). In any case, the good points of this route were CGs (I LOVED THEM SO MUCH KLDIEJF) and the calls. Buying Saeran’s calling card was soooo worth. I still can’t take him seriously when he’s on his period angst. It’s hilarious and it never gets old.

Before starting the guide, I have a few things to say about that day 1 !

Day 1 in AS is different than CS and DS :

In Casual and Deep Story, Day 1 was common, but in Another Story, it’s different ! So be careful !

We don’t get enough hearts :

There are a LOT OF ANSWERS who don’t give any hearts. Here is my theorie : to get a character’s route you have to collect their hearts. In Deep Story, collecting hearts will make a difference if you want to have Jumin or Seven. But in Another Story… There is only one route available! And V is rarely on ! If Cheritz would have followed the Casual/Deep story and give hearts at each ANSWERS for Zen/Yoosung/Jaehee/Jumin/Seven in the Another Story, we would all have the bad ending because of the lack of V’s hearts. That’s why a lot of answers give nothing, it avoids the mass of bad ending I think.

But careful, we can have answers that lead to the bad ending :

It’s not because the answers give no hearts that they have no meanings. It’s a bit obvious that more we will hint that RFA’s members are characters of a game and we don’t take things seriously more we will get close to the bad ending. You have two types of answers :

- “I will help as much as I can ! I’m so sorry I can’t tell you a lot… I hope we will be friends. Yes, I want to know more !…” : good end

- “Ehhh then it will be easy to raise my love meter with you ! Wut, me ? I live in your heart!… I thought it was a romantic game, not a detective game…” : bad end

I'm kind of in a crisis rn because I'm seeing a lot of people saying that no, Saeran doesn't have DID and what he does in fact have IN CANON is borderline personality disorder. And honestly, their reasonings and evidence for thinking that do make sense.

Some people say that Cheritz tried to make him have DID but ended up with something that's more like BPD because of not doing enough proper research. Though diagnosing fictional characters is always difficult because creators don't do enough research and just give a character a bunch of symptoms and call it a mental illness.

But even though these people think that in the game he has BPD, they often agree that when it comes to fan content, headcanoning him with DID is "better" and makes more interesting and maybe even more realistic content, even if his canon symptoms match BPD more.

So the thing now is, do you think it's wrong for me to write/draw (like the alters interacting) him with DID? And what do you think in the first place, do you also think he has BPD "canonically", but choose to write him with DID anyway because it can make interesting stories? Or do you think he might have DID and if yes, I'd really like to hear your reasoning for it!!

Hey, I don’t know where you read that but Su-Jin said during one of the Free Talks that he “felt like” Saeran has BPD. That’s not a canon confirmation. That’s the VA’s opinion on the character which isn’t a concrete canon answer, that’s just what he feels like. It’s a valid opinion! 

I personally have always read into it as him having DID, some folks say it’s also plausible that he has OSDD. Either way, no matter what you believe, as long as you’re not wiriting him or the others with disrepect or demonizing any of them for their mental health, then there’s not a problem with your headcanon. 

There’s no such thing as a better HC. Whatever you believe is what you believe and like I said, as long as you’re being respectful what you’re making and what you’re creating, then it’s okay. It’s a very broad spectrum. So, don’t feel bad for what you feel like you see.

There’s a lot of mixed opinions on the subject because of how certain things were handled but frankly, I’m on the side that says he has DID. The dissociation, the lapse in memory and time lost, the confusion that exists between both Suit Saeran and Ray, how they sometimes share memories and sometimes they just don’t, how they both have a role in the system to apply, and so on and so forth. It is a survival mechanism. They needed to exist, both Ray and Suit Saeran, cause of the weight of trauma that this boy has gone through—

There’s quite a bit about how those two came around, but that’s more jumping into HC on what his system may have locked like before he was yanked into Mint Eye and the situation pulled Ray out. Because, Ray will do anything to make sure they live. Saeran was too... overwhelmed and scared by the literal torture. Suit Saeran is there because he needs to be strong to protect them, and to him, that means anger is a weapon and a shield. 

There’s common themes in their role in the system that tie into certain aspects. 

They are identified as separate people, they are noted to exist together and on their own. The credits in Saeran’s AE credit Ray, Saeran, and Unknown as their own people, and that’s just further knock to that. They’re not the same person, they never were. I could go on and on and on about what makes me feel like they have DID, but honestly, it’s just my personal feelings on the matter and how I write them.
