R.I.P. Pre-Ch3+4 Deltarune fandom.

The brainrot is what made the long wait tolerable, and in 6 days, that wait is ending.

Thank you to Rimdle, Friend Inside Me, Pluey, Wing Gaster the Royal Scientist, Ralsei smoking a blunt, Piles of Asriel's dust, Sans remembering you're genocides, Story of Undertale, Silkposting, Salt Route, Scampton, Petally, Undyne saying Seven, and most of all "Deltarune Tomorrow"

It genuinely doesn't feel real that in less than a week, Deltarune will finally be out.

I'm excited for the new Chapters, but I'll miss this era of the fandom. I'll miss the theories and the memes. I'm glad I was there to witness the insanity.

It'll probably never be the same again, since chances are the wait between chapters will be a lot shorter from now.

I hope that when June 3rd Arrives, the whole fanbase will put our differences aside to spread "Deltarune Tomorrow" everywhere, one last time.

“Tails, you’re a child… I think. I’m not giving you caffeine.” Stone glanced at his watch, interest piqued. Something urgent; some sort of intel? From one of his sworn enemies? Stone ignored the way his heart fluttered in his throat. Tried to, at least. “How about this — I’ll make you a chicory latte and close up a little early. Wednesdays are slow, anyway.”

The fox’s ears perked up. “That sounds amazing!” He settled down at a table close enough to the counter, so he could still talk to the man. “...what’s chicory?”

Stone smiled a little at that, happy to indulge the question pertaining to his skillset — and the bevy from the curious critter that would mostly likely follow — while he prepared the root, milk, and latte-etching stylus. It gave his hands and his mind something to do while the other patrons wrapped up their business and left, eventually leaving the pair alone.

I'm writing, yall??? I'm actually gettin' it done.

Several Sentence Sunday (Thursday?)

I've been fading in and out of Tumblr the last few weeks so I've been tagged in a few things by a few people and I'm laaaaate to the game. So here's two little phone call snippets from the next chapter of Let your heart be light that is almost finished.

Gale’s phone vibrates in his pocket as he’s securing his tools in the barn.

[9:44am] John❤️: You busy?

He types out a quick message, letting John know he’d just finished cutting down a Douglas Fir for his first and only customer so far this morning. A few seconds after he hits send, his phone buzzes again and doesn’t stop.

The smile that tugs his lip up grows when he see’s that John’s calling him.

“Hello?”

“Hi, Gale.”

“Hi, John.”

“Just wanted you to know I’m thinking about you.” His bright voice comes though the speaker and Gale can hear the soft smile in it. “Haven’t really stopped thinking about you since I left. Or since I met you, I guess.” Gale huffs a laugh even as his heart thumps out of rhythm and his face grows warm. “Are you blushing?”

“Yes, John,” Gale laughs again. “You know I am.”

“Send me a picture.”

“No.”

“Buck, pleeeease?”

“No.”

(John's a total mama's boy in this story, btw.)

“Yeah, I do.”

“And what have I always said to you and your sisters?”

“When you know, you know.” He breathes out, feeling lighter. It’s a mantra that’s been in his head for as long as he can remember. And he’s been saying it to himself since the first time he held Gale in his arms.

“So yes,” his mom breaks him from his thoughts. “I want you to be careful because you’re my baby and I don’t want to see you get hurt. But also, just follow your heart. It’s the biggest one I’ve ever seen and it won’t steer you wrong, honey.”

“Thanks, ma.”

“Can you at least tell me one thing?”

“Sure.”

“Is he handsome?”

“Ma,” John groans. “Come on.”

“So he’s not?” She teases, mock sympathy in her voice that makes John laugh.

“He’s beautiful, mama. Never seen anyone more beautiful. On the inside too.” He knows his smiles gone dopey, but no ones here to call him on it, so he lets it rest on his face while he pictures Gale’s.

“Well then he sounds like a good match for my beautiful boy.”

“Alright, alright.” He chuckles, but his ears burn.

“Will I get to meet him?”

“’Course,” he says. It’s something that feels inevitable. “Maybe not next week though. I don’t want to overwhelm him.”

“He isn’t falling as fast?”

“He is.” John assures, feeling it in his bones that it’s the truth. “He uh-” John drags a hand over his mouth and contemplates his next words. Not wanting to betray Gale’s confidence but wanting to start to ease into something that he knows will happen sooner rather than later. “He lost his mom when he was a teenager and his dad isn’t in the picture. I don’t know if he’s ready for your brand of motherly attention just yet. Not without time to warn him.”

She makes a sympathetic noise and John can picture her sad smile. The one that always made him feel seen and cared for. The thought of it being directed at Gale makes him feel warm inside.

Judai almost pulled away at the word 'don't' but he's glad he doesn't, he'd waited baited breath for Johan's answer. Because in the next moment, he's pulled down by the jacket into a kiss. A sound escapes his throat unwillingly, his hand grasping at Johan's tightly.

He'd wanted this for longer than he'd thought, it seemed. He remembered the hospital visits, staying at Johan's side and only leaving to go to classes. Sometimes getting little to no sleep. He'd been terrified to lose him. His home, his light. Lips moved together frantically, without practice but it felt like flying.

Pulling away, he pants, staring down at the other. His breath hitches, "... Johan-" he murmured, "After Duel academia's over... I want to come with you." He'd thought about this for awhile, but this just solidified it. He leans down further, pressing his forehead into the other's "Go where you go... See what you see... I don't...." I don't want to be without you again. Is what goes unsaid.

A hand comes up to cup his cheek softly, his body laying down between the other's legs like a puzzle piece, careful not to put too much body weight on the other.. He knew he was strong enough to support him, yet he was still hesitant. He wanted to be selfish for once, he'd faced foe and foe again to make sure Duel Academia was still standing..... He deserved this... They... deserved this didn't they?

"... Take me with you." He whispered. "..Please"
