#I really hope Xiao's banner is the full 20 days

[VEE'S ONE YEAR GENSHIN ACCOUNT TOUR]

Exactly one year ago, on July 8th of 2023, I installed Genshin and Lumine began her adventure in Teyvat. I quickly got addicted to the game and I still play daily to this day, so I feel like this is a good point to kind of look back on everything I've achieved in one year of playing: from exploration, characters, builds to my favorite teams to use!

STATS & EXPLORATION

My absolute favorite part of the game...exploration! I love running around in the overworld with my characters, finding chests and doing quests. The story, its characters and the world of Teyvat are definitely what keeps me playing!

I have currently finished the main Archon Quest, but I do have some side quests left and I'm also working on 100%-ing every area so far! (And tracking down all oculi because I kind of got lazy with those after Liyue...)

OWNED CHARACTERS

My luck has been a mixed bag in terms of pulling for characters. On one hand, I got very lucky early on - getting Jean from the Beginner's Wish banner and Keqing at around 30-40 pity on standard banner. When it comes to the limited character banners, however...

During my first year of playing, I wished on a total of 9 banners and these were the results.

Kokomi -> Lost 50/50 to Diluc, then got guaranteed

Zhongli -> Lost 50/50 to Tighnari, then got guaranteed

Wriothesley -> Lost 50/50 to Diluc

Xiao -> Guarantee ll Xiao C1 -> Lost 50/50 to Tighnari

Albedo -> Lost 50/50 to Eula then got guaranteed

Kazuha -> Guaranteed

Wanderer -> Lost 50/50 to Tighnari then got guaranteed

Alhaitham -> Won 50/50

Furina -> Lost 50/50 to Keqing then got guaranteed

In terms of characters I still want...I really want to collect all of the cute boys for Lumine's harem, obviously. xD And then also some of the girls who I just think are cute or elements which I don't have a lot of characters for (like Cryo or Geo). ;w;

And yes, Qiqi is there for the Xiaolumi family. xD

WEAPONS

My weapon inventory could definitely use some work. I've been slacking in terms of leveling weapons - mostly because farming all the mob drops is a pain and it also eats away at my mora. I have a spare Wolf's Fang which I should really level because it's a great stat stick for a lot of sword characters. I also want to get my Iron Sting, Lion's Roar, Favonius Lance and Favonius Warbow to lv 90 if possible.

In terms of 5* weapons, I pulled for Jade Spear for Xiao and won my 50/50 (got it in around 20-25 pulls), but then got a second copy soon after from standard which I have not leveled yet. I also have two Amos' Bows from Standard but no Ganyu. :')) I know it works on Tighnari too, but Harp makes building crit stats easier so that's what he's rocking for now. As for Neuvi's book...I did a single wish for Staff of Homa and got it on my first ever pull on the weapon banner. xD

The weapons I want the most would be Jade cutter for Lumine she matches with Xiao, more copies of the Favonius Lance (I've only gotten 2 in a whole year of playing!!) and Sacrificial Fragments. For some reason, the latter avoids me like the plague. Not a single one in a whole year and I've been wished on some weapon banners where it was rated up. T ^ T

BUILDS AND TEAMS

Lumine

The Traveler is a tricky one because she requires so much resources to have a good build for each element. T ^ T By default, I run her as Dendro because I actually have an artifact set for her which doesn't require me stealing from other characters. For the overworld, I run her on 2P Dendro DMG bonus 2P atk% to optimize her personal damage and balance out EM and atk%.

Since I consider myself a Lumine main, I do have a team for each element where she runs as the 'main DPS', so to speak. Each team is also based off a different elemental reaction, besides the Geo one which is basically just a Navia hypercarry team but Geo Lumine instead of Navia. xD (These teams do require me to switch artifacts around. One day I hope to have a full set for each of them but yeah...That's not happening any time soon. ^^;;)

2. The OG carries

These two CARRIED me through the early game. I even ran them together on the same team for a while because what is better than having one DPS on a team? Two of them! Basically I'd just quick swap between them while waiting for the skill/burst to refresh haha.

Right now I run Keqing either on an aggravate team or hyperbloom team with characters like Fischl, Dendro Lumine, Yaoyao, Kazuha and Kokomi. Sometimes I also switch her weapon to Lion's Roar and then I run her with 4P Marachaussee and Furina to get a good crit ratio.

Yanfei has several builds as well. Sometimes I will use Solar Pearl with 4P Wanderer's Troupe but that one is on Tighnari by default atm so I switched to this 4P Marachaussee set. She works really well in a vape team with Xingqiu, Bennett and Furina! I also like running her with Bennett and double Geo.

Things I want to improve is to finish leveling their talents and farm a better 4P TF set because those pieces on Keqing are kind of cope...^^;;

3. The Anemo boys

The little meow meows. uwu Xiao is my first and only triple crowned character at the moment. I have several builds for him, but this is the one I put on him now which keeps enough other pieces for my remaining characters. xD His crit rate is a little on the low side, but if I run him on a double Geo comp with Geo Lumine, she actually gives him a 10% crit rate buff when he's within her burst.

Wanderer's ratio could be a bit better too in terms of crit rate, but if I can get Cryo with his A4 passive, it also adds 10% crit rate. I do like running him together with Layla although I've never really looked whether or not she actually triggers his passive. xD

In terms of teams, they both like similar supports in Zhongli, Furina, Bennett and Faruzan. Wanderer I will also sometimes run with Xingqiu, Layla and Faruzan because it's an aesthetic.

4. The Dendro boys

Tighnari keeps on showing up when I lose my 50/50s so I guess he really wanted me to build him-- He's not quite finished yet because I need to get him up to lv 90 but he does the job just fine as is. He's currently on a 4P Wanderer's Troupe set because the Gilded domain absolutely hates me.

Same story for Alhaitham. I'd love to have a 4P Gilded on him, but I cannot get a decent EM sands from that domain at all. I've gotten like 5 EM sands but all of them had only HP and DEF sub stats... I used to run him on 2P Gilded 2P Wanderer's for maximum EM but that left Tighnari without a set so I'm running a Hybrid EM/atk% Alhaitham now. Don't judge. :'')

5. The sub DPS squad

These characters are often more broken than the main DPS ones, I swear-- Especially Xingqiu has been amazing ever since I got his C6. Thankfully he has a skin now too because I hate his original design and avoided him like the plague for a long time because of it. >< (Now I just need to beat the Oceanid a few more times to get him up to 80/90 so I can continue leveling his talents xD)

Fischl is a character I built quite recently too but I haven't regretted it. She's on Stringless by default but sometimes I run her with Harp too. Hopefully I can get more cons for her in the future to boost her damage even more!

Xiangling is C0 because I haven't pulled on any banner she was featured on and her crit ratio is pretty bad. (I need to continue fishing for R5 the Catch, I know...) but she still works fine as a vape enabler.

Albedo is a character I don't use as often as I should. He's definitely not as strong and has kind of fallen off in terms of usefulness, but I love his lore/design so I had to pull for him anyway. The EM buff his ult provides can actually be kind of nice in certain comps too.

6. Buffers

Furina has to be one of the characters I like using the most in the overworld. Her pets just go and kill everything lol. Usually the time I've circled through my sub DPS characters, they have taken out the enemies before my main DPS even gets to do anything. xD

Bennett and Kazuha are also very well-rounded characters who I can throw on pretty much any team and improve the damage. Sometimes I run Kazuha with more ER (sac sword or fav) if nobody else on the team needs it. The plan is to level the Iron Sting to 90 but I'm waiting for the domain to be open again.

Last but not least is C6 Faruzan who doubled my Xiao's damage output. She definitely needs some work too in terms of talents & ascension so once she's 80/90 with her burst to lv 10-11, she'll boost my Anemo boys even more!

7. Shielders

Zhongli is another character who I can put on pretty much any team and make it more comfy to play. Mine is not even build as a shield bot but he still tanks pretty much anything the overworld throws at you. If there's a particularly aggressive Abyss, I do update his build to 2P Noblesse/2P Tenacy with an HP goblet or HP circlet so he can tank even more hits.

Meanwhile Layla is my pure shield bot. I used to run 4P Tenacity on her but I don't have enough pieces to give both her and Faruzan a full set so I now run her on 2P HP% and 2P ER. Her burst is quite useful when I run her together with a Hydro and want to freeze opponents.

8. Healers

Kokomi was the first limited 5* I pulled for and the reason I started playing Genshin in the first place. I think she's absolutely gorgeous and I'm glad Furina enabled me to use her more. Her mono hydro team with Xingqiu, Kazuha and Furina destroyed the Abyss Lectors in the current abyss!

Jean is a character I leveled/raised quite recently so her build is not 100% optimized yet. I would like to get a 4P Noblesse for her eventually but my current Noblesse pieces are more HP% focused. ;;

Lastly there's Yaoyao who has 4P deepwood to boost my Dendro DPS characters. She's a cutie and while her heals are not as strong as Jean and Kokomi, I still enjoy using her on Dendro-based teams or on my Xiaolumi family team with Lumine, Xiao and Zhongli!

Title: Being sucked in

A/n: I'm not sure how long this.. story will take but i will try my best to keep it entertaining.. this story is about you, being sucked into genshin world, this is part 1.. please enjoy. Leave a comment or suggestion.. possible love interest for now will be : Diluc, Kaeya, Albedo, Zhongli, Childe, Xiao, Beidou, Ningguang.

Today is another normal day, nothing is really out of the ordinary, the sky is a little bit cloudy but you don't mind, you think that the wind blowing against your hair is very nice as you walk towards your school. You walked inside, stopping Infront of the locker to the entrance to fix your stuff and take your schedule until you felt a presence beside you.

"oh, hello sidia".

You greets one of your sleepy friend, she just let's out a 'hmm' and a nod while looking through her locker, not even giving you an eye contact. sidia has always been like this, she never really made an eye contact towards you but she still shows that she has some of her attention towards you.

"good morning".

Your other friend, Chelz Lee, let's out a mutter to the both of you, Chelz is more talkative then Sidia, you met them maybe a couple of years ago. they're a very talented artist and are a very interesting friends to be around with.

"what's up guys".

You too greet them without looking at their eye, you take your books out and proceed to take a peak at Sidia's schedule.

"oh? Mathematics on the first hour? Goodluck".

You snicker and slap her shoulder a little bit, she stares at you uninterestedly with her sleepy eye and started to walk away, letting you stare at her black low ponytail hair.

You giggle and take a peak at Chelz's schedule. Art. her first lesson for today seems fun you thought sighing at the sight of your first schedule that reads 'science'.

Chelz already went half way to catching up to Sidia before she looks back at you as if asking you to join them and you did. You jog towards her, taking her hand and started to jog towards Sidia either.

"how are you both?".

You ask them both while fixing the books on your hand and looking at your shoes to check the lace.

"depressed".

Sidia answered, you make a 'uhuh' sound feeling used to her answers. Chelz stroke her short wavy black bangs out of her eyes and use her black glasses and start to read her novel. Her black short hair blows a little because of the wind.

"fine".

She answered you, yawning and stretching her arms out beside her. You and the rest of your friend said goodbye to eachother and proceed to go to your different ways.

You went inside your class. As usual people are in teams, some are in teams for fun, some are in teams for checking today's lesson.

You take a one seat beside the window and wait for the teacher to come inside the classroom.

The lesson went on as usual, smoothly even, you did your homework andd the score that you got on yesterday's test is not bad, B is not a bad grade. You take out your binder and put the paper's that you got in to the binder.

Going home is the best thing about the day. You and Chelz are chatting away about until you guys cane across a gaming store.

"ou? A gaming store".

Sidia said, catching yours and Chelz attention. Chelz look at that place very seriously, squinting her eye.

"...since when is there a gaming store here- y/n!".

She was very suspicious of this place, she doesn't remember any gaming store around here... And if there is one opening soon it should be the talk of the school. in short Chelz was suspicious but you, being a gaming enthusiast decided to check it out, thinking maybe they have a good and cheap open world game.

"... She's crazy".

Sidia chuckled. She took Chelz arm, snapping her out of her suspicious state and drag her towards the gaming store.

"yo- sidia i don't wanna die".

"well i do. So let's go".

And with that the both of them followed you in.

The store looks very cool.. it's like you're in a different world. The ceiling's wallpaper is made out of galaxy like drawing and the light bulb was covered with another ball that is drawn to match with the different planets on the solar system.

"welcome to the store how may i help you".

A girl that looks like in her mid 20 greets the both of you, she have short black hair and a green uniform and a little pin on the breast part of her uniform spell out 'katheryne'. Which you assume was her name.

"hello! I was wondering do you have any open world game?".

You instantly ask her, not caring about the suspicious store, you don't even care about the insides of the place. You just wanted to play a open world game that's full of interesting stuff. The girl name katheryne hums in understanding and goes behind the table to look for a game you requested. Chelz grabs your hand and shout whisper to you.

"this place is creepy y/n. Let's get out of here".

Chelz scold you, you sigh and looks at her calmly shaking your head no.

"it's fine, were fine, what's the worst thing that could happen?".

You whisper back with a lighter tone. Really you don't care if this place comes out of nowhere you just want your game, you're smiling stupidly while waiting for the girl.

"anywayyy if anything happened, Sidia is here, she'll be able to protect us using her fighting style knowledge thingy".

Sidia scoffed and fold her arms, looking at you as if you're crazy.

"i will leave you alone and save myself".

You laugh and was about to slap her back when she holds your hand and rolls her eyes at you.

"such a tsun tsun".

You laugh out, she slowly and gently let your hand away. From the corner of your eye you can see katheryne walking towards the counter. You immediately jump and went towards her.

"this is the only open world game that i found".

She said, you look at the weird japanese like word, assuming it was the title you try to read what is said.. you don't understand it but the design was cool though.

"this is a open world game called genshin impact. I will not spoil the story but i think this game might be the game you're looking for".

Her confidence is seeping in on your game needy state so you decided to purchase it, not thinking twice. Sidia face palm while Chelz just sigh, feeling tired of your hot headed act.

"it will be 2$".

You felt giddy, you can't help it. It's cheap and is a open world game, that is a steal. After taking your stuff, the both of your friend immediately pull you away from the store.

"okay y/n. You got what you need, that place is sus i tell ya".

Sidia said, Chelz nods her head and fix her black glasses, she stare at you while furrowing her eyebrows.

"you gotta stop doing reckless thing. Who knows what that place is".

You sigh and nod, rolling your eye. You giggle anyway and put the game in front of you.

"i know.. but were safe! I wanna try and play it when i get home".

Sidia and Chelz just sigh, what can they do anyway. On the way home you and your friends goes on your own separate way as usual, you jog towards your home, feeling giddy to play the new game.

You take a bath, and goes straight to your computer, opening the plastic wrapper on the game. You insert the disc and started to wait for the loading screen.

And oh gosh.. isn't it pretty, the cutscene the art. Everything. So the game basically tells you about the story of two traveller, who was travelling from world to world until suddenly a mysterious god appears, took one of the twins and take away the other twins power, and now you're playing as the twin who was looking for their missing sister.

You look at the wishing button, tempted to wish for a character, you decided to pull. Expecting a cool banner of the current character instead, you're greets by a white screen.

"hm.. should i restart it?".

You mumble to yourself, nodding in agreement at your words, you close the disc and pulls out the game from your computer. You take a nearby wipe and wipe the back disc gently and then put it back in on the computer.

The game is launching when suddenly you felt a huge and sudden headache comes over you.

"ugh-!".

You groan, gosh.. maybe it's because you have been staring at the screen for too long.. you thinks as a bumping headache keeps going at you.

While waiting for the game you decided to lay back a bit, rest your eyes and head.. this headache is not going away anytime soon if you keep waiting and staring at the screen.

Before you reach the bed, your body stumble forward and fall on to the floor, cannot control any part of your body you close your eyes and your mind went blank.

A darkness is all that you see.. a darkness is all that you're in.. you remember that the last time you are in your bedroom, playing genshin until a huge headache wave over you. Now that you're sense's is back something felt wrong.. you can tell you are laying on something.. it's not comfy but it's still felt quite nice.

You opened your eye slowly and look around the place, groaning as you stare at the half blue and half white wall. You look at your bed and this bed looks like one of the hospital bed..... Wait hospital bed?! You instantly look around frantically where the heck are you?!

"oh you're awake!".

A gentle calm voice echoed throughout the room. That voice sounds familiar.. you turn around and saw a girl with a nurse hat and a white dress, her cream coloured hair is put in a ponytail... Barbara?!.

You stare at her unbelievably. Act cool.. act like.. like a human.. yeah!. You think to yourself. You know this girl.. this girl is the free 4 star character that you'll get once you reach a certain level. Okay y/n.. play it cool.. just act like you don't know this place.

"why.. am i here?".

You look at the girl, she seems nervous to be around you ... Which is normal maybe. She walked beside you and take a cup of empty glass beside you and pour a pitcher full of water inside the glass half full and then take them, offering the glass to you.

"you're in Mondstat.. the land of freedom.."

A/n; GOD I'm so sorry it took a long time, i hope the 'cliffhanger' makes sense...? But! Thankyou for reading! I am working on part 2 so more will be incoming!!!

What does your team look like usually?

I have this under my about me page :D

But since it's not very detailed, I'll go into more here including builds :>

My go-to team comp is (in order) Qiqi, Xinyan, Xiao, Zhongli! They (Qiqi, Xiao, Zhongli), apart from Jean, are actually the only 5* characters that I have since I save every primogem I can for those I do want (Albedo when will you come home (': ) so I'm really lucky that I got Qiqi on standard early on! She was my first 5* :DD

Qiqi - lvl 90 - c0

I have her built with a 4pc Maiden's set and the Flute (all fully leveled, I think r2 Flute?). I focused on Attack for her because her healing scales off her attack. Right now her attack sits at 2.3k, so she's a pretty dependable healer which helps with Xiao's hp drain with his Q. Her heals have saved Xiao from death a hundred times over...especially because her auto has a chance of applying a talisman on the enemy ever 15 seconds which heals the team when she hits it or heals whoever you're playing as if not Qiqi.

Her skill does almost 5k per heal (x3).

Since I don't use her for her standard attacks, I actually gave her an attack % timepiece and hat instead of my usual go-to which is Crit Rate/Dmg %. Her cup is a Cryo dmg % cup though! I might change it in the future to Attack % as well, but we'll see-

All her talents are at lvl 7 (ehe..I need to work on that)

Xinyan - lvl 90 - c3

She's built to be a phys dps! I really lucked out and ended up getting Eula's weapon (Song of Broken Pines) since I had around 70~ rolls on weapon banner and won the 50/50 twice (since 50/50 for event weapon, then again because there's two featured 5* event weapons per banner). But she works really well if you have the Snow-Tombed Starsilver (4* craftable Dragonspine claymore).

Her attack sits at about 2.3k. Auto attack does between 4-9k depending on which of the 4 hits she's on.

Her artifacts consist of 2pc Pale Flame and 2pc Bloodstained Chivalry with focus on Attack % (timepiece), Phys dmg % (cup), and Crit Rate % (hat). All her artifact substats focus on crit rate/dmg and defense (% and flat).

Her talents in order are: 7 / 10 (c3 perk) / 7

Xiao - lvl 90 - c0

He's built to be a skill/burst dps and also work as his own battery (since the rest of the team doesn't give reliable energy). Weapon is the Lithic Spear (r1) but before I had him with the Crescent Pike. One day I hope to get more of the Lithic Spear because it's skill is too good since my team is all Liyue-

Anyway! He has 2pc Viridescent Venerer and 2pc Gladiators! His timepiece is Attack %, cup is Anemo dmg %, and he has a Crit dmg % hat. All his artifacts have Crit Rate/Dmg % and a mix of Attack %, Energy Recharge, and Elemental Mastery. I'm forever grinding the Viri/Maiden's domain because I'm a simp and also he's my best non-physical dps...and I need Viri for Kazuha but I've only been getting Maiden's.

His attack sits at 2.7k, skill does an avg of 22k (per single charge), and Q does an avg of 40k (per pummel).

All his talents are crowned :DD (lvl 10). Again, a simp.

Zhongli - lvl 90 - c1

The first character I really spent a ton of my rolls for! By that I mean from the week I first started playing all the way to his banner, I rolled a grand total of 20 times before saving the rest (~~ 120?) and...he ate them all but came home twice in the very last 10 roll I said I'd do for his banner. Stinky.

Anyway.

He's built with the Prototype Starglitter at r2 and as full support! I don't actually know what other weapon I'd give him, so he gets energy recharge % ehe.

His artifacts consist of 4pc Milleleth's and focus heavily on HP since his shield scales with his max HP. His timepiece is HP %, cup is Geo dmg %, and his hat is Crit Rate %, so his health is at a grand total of 32k. Which means that his shield more often than not has over 100% uptime :DD nothing can touch me-

The artifact substats focus on Crit Rate/Dmg %, HP%, and Energy Recharge.

Talent levels in order are: 7 / 7 / 8 (I originally was building him to be a burst dps...but the shield...I love it too much)
