Right???? Okay honestly, I didn’t think we would get ANY queer main characters in this show. From the beginning, I honestly interpreted Eloise as a lesbian and Benedict as bisexual, but never in my LIFE, did I imagine we would get canon queer main characters because this is the straight woman romance show. Spoilers under the cut because I’m not sure you or others want to know (tho ofc you read my tags on that post lol)

I really thought I was just wearing the bisexual projection goggles when it came to Benedict. Been saying since season 1 that he should have sex with a man/ a MMF threesome, but I didn’t think it would actually happen! My flabbers are ghasted in the best of ways!!!! I think this is honestly perfect for his character and I’m happy to see it.

Imagine my surprise DOUBLED when I saw canon queer Francesca! I haven’t read the books, so I wasn’t certain of her love interest’s name, so I had to confirm with a friend that I wasn’t imagining it lol again, hoping she gets a bi storyline rather than a comphet one.

Eloise. Gosh. Okay it’s like I always want to like her, but she’s always doing some dumb shit that makes me rage lol I think that Eloise being a lesbian would improve her storyline TREMENDOUSLY, both in what we’ve seen of the show and what I know about her book love interest (my impression of him is not positive). I’ve always been an Eloise x Penelope truther. Their relationship is far more compelling to me than Penelope and Colin, but I knew that we would never get that relationship change lol But I ALSO never thought we would get canon queer Bridgertons!!! So!!! It would be wonderful if we get a change to Eloise’s storyline.

I think we’ll have to wait and see how the reaction to Francesca’s story change goes. It does seem that the writers are taking audience reception into account based on how they changed some things around for seasons 2 and 3, so!!! I’m going to hold out some tentative hope for lesbian Eloise <3
