My first completed mini fic! This one is a starter off to a series about documenting Sonarian creatures in their natural habitat!!

SONARIAN ARCHIVES

These scriptures hold the unique lifestyles and behaviors of the animals that inhabit this place, I’m not sure how this ecosystem even fully manages to exist at all, but it does conjure an inquisitive soul, doesn’t it? Perhaps how these creatures have somehow pieced and puzzled together a lifestyle to make due with the tethers of this biosphere will give me the answers I so greatly search for among the smooth red sand that I stand upon today. On this spectacular sunny, bright morning I guide my friend to the volcano island for studying! ( a little chubby organism I discovered quite recently in one of my dawn excursions! They look like the strange, but welcoming warm and sweet mix that would emerge into the wide open world if you crossed a turtle with a roasted cinnamon bun glazed heavily in milky white dripping icing, the frosting shimmering slightly in the awakening, dawning sunlight of the glowing, crystalline as stained glass day peeking over and eventually below inside the overseeing, tall, dry ridged hills. I realized soon after meeting them out in the wilderness among others of it’s giant, breathtaking herd among the desert adapted firm and determined grass shoots containing younger, softer and bouncing babies and older, tougher but still gleeful and carefree and slightly clumsy adults that they were in fact not perfectly and deliciously soft like a cinnamon roll, and rather hard like the protective, thick reflecting shell of a wandering tortiese among the meandering fine but incredibly numerous sand grains found in a vast, expansive hot desert, or in my case, a boundless mesa sparsely decorated with sturdy, firm water preserving aloe bushes and wide, huge straight leaves of other various types of thriving sunlit vegetation, all along two main bodies of clear, pristine glassy blue water that feed this ragged, high and mountainous landscape of hardened, compressed sand particles. One emergence of water a rushing, fluctuating river and the other a still, calm and reliving cool lake in the beginning of the region. )

You, a lone, curious and honestly, pretty bored Urzuk have discovered the tiny, seemly unusable leather notebook near the cooler, rocky and slippery sandy bank of the river underneath the hollowed out shadowy sand tunnel leading to it. It contains studies of all the creatures you could ever think of! And it seems the literature is added to every day by a invisible, dawdling poltergiest of some mysterious, unstable shape or whisping, silent cloudy spirit, despite the fact that no one ever physically traveled through this vibrant, wild and glorious land of occasional disasters and natural beauties to return to the book. Probably whoever wrote this angered a glovaucus thousands of times their size and was hunted down by the whole swift, aggressive pack of them through the magma and the seas until they were never seen again, except maybe by the glovaucus pups. But you might as well give it a read, who knows, they may have been right about key, intricate details of Sonaria’s critter’s lifestyles

It does make sense! It’s just that sometimes like. the feeling of “that’s me” isn’t immediate or feels hard to differentiate from “I’m hearted/connected with or even just interested in that.” and I see a lot of things that can feel me and I wonder at what point do I consider that a ‘type and actually me or do they just feel relatable? and then. Something matches well and could maybe be me but the feeling isn’t strong as I want it to be. confusing. Maybe I’m looking for other ways to confirm a type besides looking at media and research and journaling. I feel like I’m doing the same thing over n over lol. if it’s not too personal I’m just curious .. when did it click for u that rabbits are you? what was that feeling like?

Damn this is a late response but-

If I’m being honest, I don’t really know. For me it really was just researching. I already had a deep connection to rabbits, I just didn’t think much of it until I learned about therianthropy. Same thing with me being ghostkin. I just sorta knew, if that makes sense?

I wish that I did have the words to explain it. And of course, everyone experiences therianthropy differently and can discover who they are in several different ways.

Another example of mine is that I’m Urzukkin (Urzuk as in from Creatures of Sonaria) and I had absolutely no idea until I played the game and started playing Urzuk. It was then I began to grow deeply attached to the species as a whole. It took a few months of me playing to figure it out, but eventually I began to get Urzuk shifts, phantom limbs etc. and I started to realize that might be me.

But again, everyone experiences it differently. The ways I discovered/learned of my kintypes could be completely different from how you might find yours!

I really do adore creatures of sonaria even if the devs are a little sucky at deving, as long as they are trying that’s what matters, I’m thinking about doin the art contest in the hopes of getting a role exclusive. I dream of owning owa and verza because to me they are so pretty I don’t even like to fight, I want to nest as rare creatures.

Really relating to Orion’s fictionfolk post this morning because the more I learn about Creatures of Sonaria (outside of the lore), the less and less inclined I feel to play it.

I considered playing so I could strengthen the links I have tied to it, even though it meant not immediately accessing the creatures I link.

But man… between shitty devs and a toxic player base (granted, toxicity isn’t uncommon among survival MMOs), I think I’m good where I’m at 😅

-I’m usually called shine when it comes to being online, but a few times, I was called glow and shin (the whole reason why I’m called these things is because they’re part of my Roblox username.)

-the dumbest thing I’ve ever googled was “what does purple taste like?” because I was curious about what people with synesthesia feel like. “Can cats get Down syndrome?”

-I’m not leaving the Danganronpa fandom anytime soon.

-I’ve already mentioned this, but I’ll show up anywhere and everywhere with replies. Start running.

-I am an animal lover but I still eat meat.

-I’m still not too sure about my sexual orientation, but I think it may be something among the lines of aroace (with a soft spot for guys. Sometimes.)

-I have anxiety and ADHD and I was often made fun of for some reason. Please be gentle.

-That anxiety most likely is the reason why in every (fictional) situation, I think about the worst cases, most of them involving a certain maniac.

Shine (yes, she’s also called Shine) is a miniature fellisio (see Creatures of Sonaria wiki) who just wants things to not be chaotic. She tries to act like a normal human being, but sometimes she acts just like a cat if her instincts take over.

She likes the ocean, anything she deems as “fun,” and trying her best to care for others. She hates when people are just rude to her, and she is also terrified of the simplest things becoming much more chaotic and hard to deal with.

She doesn’t remember how she got here, but she knew she came from another world. She’s getting used to this place, though, and she might be able to share stories of what her life was in the past.
