So I have a theory and I think it might be a bit insane but I’m gonna put it down anyways.

I think Miguel wasn’t Spider-Man in his universe. I think he was the prowler. I think when he found the universe with his daughter he realised the self that had died was Spider-Man and so tried to fill that role.

He is called out in atsv with “are you sure you’re even Spider-Man?” (Peter says it about his humour and Miles says it about his claws).

He has /claws/ - the prowlers ‘gloves’ act like claws although mechanical

We see him inject spider venom into his arm. I reckon this is get the sticky-ness that Spider-Man has.

During the vulture fight, we see him go to bite vulture neck- when he was already fully contained. It doesn’t seem like a friendly Spider-Man thing to do

He is /obsessed/ with the canon events. It could be seen as trying to build the perfect Spider-Man life/fit his life to the Spider-Man story

His ‘eyes’ are very similar to the prowler mask design

These might all have completely reasonable excuses but I’m half convinced.
