Y'all ever think about how Crowley really thought that everything was finally settled, no one's shitting bullshits anymore and they'll end up dining at the Ritz again and things would go back to normal again and then they go on about arranging and cleaning everything at the bookshop so that Azi doesn't have to then Maggie and Nina came in and advised them and then that's when Crowley's sure that, Yeah this is finally their big break! they're finally gonna get their happy ending like Beelzebub and Gabe and they'll live off their lives just like they wanted and then Crowley goes on about planning their speech only to be broken into pieces and then suddenly the fire in the bookshop comes back right at her head, knowing he lost her angel once more and this time he couldn't talk nor see them and that it was even painful than losing them in a fire.
god it fucking kills me because there's no doubt in my mind that crowley thinks aziraphale doesn't love him as he is. how could he, when crowley's a lowly demon, when he isn't and hasn't been the angel he was in millennia, and when aziraphale essentially told him he'd be with him once he changed back. how is he meant to take that as anything other than proof that aziraphale's love is conditional, and that he just doesn't cut it as he is.
BUT HE STILL GAVE HIM ANOTHER CHANCE. he watched the love of his life walk away for a fucking job promotion, after rejecting him for the millionth time, and he gave him another chance. crowley stood and watched as aziraphale walked away, and waited for him to come to his senses. and he never does. they make me sick
