hi i got my ramen shop standee and the arcade machine keychain a while ago and they are AMAZING quality, they arrived just in time for a convention i cosplaued majima at and it was such a fun little addition to my bag. if you don't mind me asking what manufacturer do you use for all your stuff :0? they're super high quality compared to some manufacturers I've seen people recommend

I use vograce! it's not everyone's fav choice from what I gather from various other creators but my personal experiences so far (and I've ordered so much crap lol) is very good. they're a lil pricier than others too but I go to them cuz their products are good, they have a decent moq, and their customer service is very helpful/responsive

if you're interested in acrylic stuff, I would rec them. they have a ton of other products too that I haven't necessarily tried yet but they also offer sample services (sometimes free, sometimes a fee depending on what it is) so that's super helpful. and if you ask em, they'll provide proofs of items before they make em so you can check the art or whatnot (very helpful to make sure they don't make something backwards lol esp if there's text involved)

rn I'm having them test some buttons and I'll be going to them for my booby mousepads too cuz me and a friend collab'd to make some and they turned out very good

Went to japan last week, this was actually my 2nd time. The first time was when I was still in uni, about 19/20 years old? Which was a while ago 😅

If anyone is planning to go japan, do NOT go during september or the summer if you cant handle humid heat. It got as high as 36°C and it was unbearable! The sun is so hot and air was so thick 😭 Nearly died, I've never used my asthma pump so much before lol

Anyways, enough about that! I was lucky enough to visit 3 cities! Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto ✨

In Tokyo, visited the Meiji Shrine, went up Tokyo Tower, went to a jjk0 themed cafe, tbh this was kind of a let down. It was just a cafe with like the official cafe photos plastered on the walls and themed food. I was expecting it to be more like those kpop group cafes with standees and like a table of official merch to take photos with. I did buy a satoru acrylic stand and a keychain gacha. When I opened the gacha pack, it was CHIBI SATORU 😭💙💙💙💙 I was so happy! Made the whole trip worth it ✨ Also went Shibuya Crossing! Last time I went, it was already busy back then but omg, this time, its waaaaaaay more busier! Like the streets were full, there were no gaps in between people. You just had to keep moving to your destination (No wonder kenjaku chose this place 😭)

In Osaka, went Dotonbori, Denden town, and Sumiyoshi Shrine. Idk if you know about this very popular store called Don Quiote, but Bruno Mars is promoting it, and he has an ad/song that plays on tvs throughout the store. It was so random to see him but then again, he does have that Las Vegas debt to pay off 🤭🤭

Kyoto 💖 This place has my heart 🥰 Its so beautiful and relaxing. So easy to travel, everyone there is so lovely, the food is delicious, the landmarks are breath-taking. If I ever go back, I would stay there longer. I visited the famous Fushimi Inari Shrine, Tenryuuji Temple and Kiyomizu-dera - which the tokyo jujutsu tech college is (supposedly) based on!

I had such a great time! Spent so much on food and souvenirs, I am now broke, but worth it 🤣

I hope you've been doing well Ai, I saw some posts about someone/some people bothering you. Don't let them get to you, you're such a lovely person, I can't even imagine why they would send hate to you. Always put yourself first, and if that means taking breaks from tumblr or turning off anon, then do what you need to. Be selfish, and take care of yourself before anyone else.

Okay, break from the fish talk show. Time to talk about my week! That's a very pretty clover btw.

Okay so first off, I did join the Narrator Swap discord for the month of June and I posted my first art for it two days ago. That has been super fun and I can't wait to get my partner for next week!!!

Now the big thing was yesterday. Because yesterday was my oldest brother's birthday and he wanted to bring us to a convention, so some of us joined him for that, myself included. I don't know if this is surprising or anything, but this was the first big convention I've ever been to and my goodness, it sure was something. I didn't know a whole ton about the convention going in so I didn't go to any of the panels. (Though my sister in law told me they had a Sandman panel, but I lowkey forgot and only remembered 30 minutes after the panel started. Pretty upset about that). Anyways! I did end up getting some cool things, though most of what was being sold seemed to be more anime focused there were some other cool things I found.

I ended up getting two charms, an Ineffable Husbands one for myself and a Dreamling one for my sister. I also go a really cute Blackbonnet print signed by the artist (it's so cute!!), a little sewn keychain of my favorite little dragon Figment, a really cute Ponyo sweater, and an adorable strawberry frog keyboard for my computer (cuz I really needed a new one).

So overall, a super fun experience!! I definitely have determined that next time I go to a big con I definitely need to look into everything happening the day I'm going and figure out what events I want to participate in. Also, I should probably try to finish up some of my more casual cosplays, such as the Narrator or the RK900 hoodie I've been very slowly working on. This is because I went to this con in my Ghostbusters cosplay. Since I had a proton pack I couldn't have my backpack with me, which got kinda annoying when I had some downtime and didn't have my sketchbook to draw in. So more casual cosplays would work best for me.

Another thing I've discovered. I walk really poorly. My legs and ankles are so sore right now because of how I walk and how much I was walking yesterday. I realized a few hours in as my feet were starting to hurt, that I walk in such a way that I have a little bit of a limp and it puts a lot of strain on my left leg. Along with that, when walking my ankles are very fluid in their movements in such a way that I tend to put more pressure on the outer edge of my feet. In short. I'm super unbalanced and it wrecks my ankles when I walk like this for a while. So. Oof. This explains why every once in a while one of my ankles kind gives out and I either fall or almost fall. It's very rare, but it happens sometimes. Don't really know what to do about that other than trying to be more conscious of how I'm walking.

So that's about if for con related stuff I guess, though this next thing is a tiny bit related I guess. I have noticed recently, both on Tumblr and at the con, that Trigun Stampede is really popular right now. I don't know much about the anime though my sister did show me an episode or two of the original Trugun series. I did notice a lot of really cool art of Vash while at the con, along with some amazing cosplaysm there was this one person selling the cutest little tiny acrylic standees of him and I kinda wanted one, but I felt like it would be kinda weird to get art of a character from a fandom I'm not in. Anyways, this whole thing has a point. That being, I talked to my sister about it and she said I definitely should watch both Trigun series, sooo.... might end up doing that in my free time. I will probably start with the original Trigun then watch Stampede, cuz that just makes sense to me. I don't know how into it I will get, but I guess we will have to see.

I will have you know you most likely won't have to worry about me dropping TSP since I have a lot of people, both friends and you guys, keeping me into it. So don't worry!! I will not stop drawing TSP art for a long while!!! I just thought that would be important to say.

But yeah, that's kinda been the hughlights of my week. Fun things :)

I'm about to graduate and I wanna do something special for myself. THERE'S NO JUSTICE MERCH FROM WHERE I LIVE AT, so my solution is to make one myself.

Either an acrylic standee or a keychain of Justice, I have to pick one but I only have enough money to make one of them real.

I ended up deciding I did want to go to fanexpo (even if it meant I might be in a little bit of pain bcs of the date. thankfully I wasn't tho!!) and I'm so happy I did!!!!!!

for most of the time we were there we didn't have much luck finding love live anything. a few things here and there, but it was mostly μ's and liella that we saw. I was coming around to the idea that the only ruby I was gonna get was a small aozora jumping heart keychain.

then we can across a booth where like. a quarter of it was just love live!!! they had figures from μ's to liella. it was so hard to choose which ones I wanted, that I completely overlooked a mirai no bokura ruby fig that was literally right behind a super cute kasumi I was looking at lmao. as soon as it was pointed out to me I didn't care for anything else immediately go it.

I think the vendor overheard us talking abt it and started showing us all the ruby merch they had. there was a pillow with scenes from the anime, another figure (the little demon outfit from the anime. idk what it's actually called lol), and an acrylic standee.

the pillow I didn't get cos 1) it was a decoration pillow, and idk abt anyone else, but I don't understand those. if it's a pillow, I'm using it at a pillow. but if I did that then it would quickly get ruined. and 2) the cats love attacking pillows and blankets if they move. so the pillow was an automatic no. the second figure was a no cos the costume isn't really that cute to me?? if I was a super collector and I needed it then I probably would've gotten it, but I'm not so I didn't lol.

so I ended up getting the ruby mirai fig and the standee, and another figure. I think in total I got 4 figures, 1 standee, and 5 keychains?? it's only been a day and I've already forgotten lol. I only have the ruby's we found as an early bday present, and my goldfish brain is gonna forget/has already forgotten what the other stuff was. I guess it'll be a good thing that I will forget everything else, that means I'll be genuinely surprised for Christmas lmao.

compared to the last time I went, I had so much more fun this time around. mostly bcs I have more than one interest and I'm not lying to myself abt my love for Pokemon. even for things I'm not interested in and only know of bcs of other people, being able to name which anime/game/character of the cosplays I saw was so much fun.

I wasn't really expecting it, since most cosplays I saw were genshin or one piece, but seeing 1 bandori and maybe 2 love live cosplays was cool!! one was for sure love live (aozora jumping heart are very obvious costumes), but idk if the other was? it was a very low-key casual, but still obviously a cosplay of some kind. it looked like a casual version of mirai ticket? but idk if it was. there was also this super pretty ei or makoto genshin cosplay (I'm 90% sure it was makoto) and.

idk, if I have the chance to go again next year (and have more than a 2~ week heads up and 1 day to decide) I might plan something of my own?? seeing them all was really inspiring. even if it's something more low-key and casual rather than big and obvious, even if it's something that maybe only I will recognize, maybe??? ever since I learned just how far people go to make/get their own accurate costumes I've always wanted to do it/try. but multiple different factors just stop me from trying.

Merch Update

I got two packages today! I finally cleared out my backorders from Buyee's warehouse.😅 These are things I bought like at the end of April and the beginning of May. There are two more on the way, but I won't see those probably in two weeks.

I found a Nobunaga autographed artboard! Unlike Kenshin one, the seller sandwhiched it between two pieces of cardboard before placing it in a sturdy, plastic bag. I really do appreciate the care these sellers go through to bubble wrap, tape, and secure the items. It honestly makes such a difference. I know if I were to ever part with my merch, I would also ensure to protect the items for transit. I would want the merch to arrive safely! Of course, the seller disclosed the tiny damage to the artboard (a small crease) at the top right corner, so I do appreciate their honesty. Overall, I paid 500 yen for this, so I'm very happy with it!

I seem to be building a small collection of Mitsunari merch. I love this sugar bun so much.💕 So, yeah, I got this file folder of him and MC. If you played his route, then you know where this is from.😆 I also found Ranmaru's badge from The Stage merch. That is actually a recent purchase. I bought it last week, I think. Anyways, I think it will go good with the shikishi I bought a while ago. And, I also got a Nobunaga acrylic keychain! It's pretty big, too!

I also started to collect these heart badges. I also have Masamune and Mitsuhide on the way. They're small and cute! Perfect if you happen to have ita bags.

Joining the AGF Kenshin standee are Nobunaga and Mitsunari. I originally wanted just Nobunaga, but another seller posted Mitsunari's too. I just couldn't say no. Like, what if I never saw it again? I just had to have Mitsunari. I mean, if I have one, why not the other? Speaking of Mitsunari's stand:

The seller gave me his info card! I was honestly surprised to see it fall out of the envelope. I was so confused because I only paid for the acrylic stand. I was like, "Did I get this for free?" Seriously, people sell these individually, and there was a listing for Mitsunari's card for 1,100 yen. I was thinking about getting it, but decided not to. I'm so glad I didn't now!

I bought these two the same time I got Nobunaga's acrylic stand. I only did so because both badge and card were being sold together. At 1,000 yen, it was a good deal.

Recently, I cheered myself up by buying a Kenshin badge from a seller. At 400 yen, sure, I'll take it. I also forgot to mention, but I made my very first purchase on nadema. I may as well have sold my kidney for this item, but as soon as I got paid, I rushed to place my order on it since the orders were going to close on the 9th. It has a release date at the end of June, but we'll see. Anyways, I still have to pay shipping on it so the grand total is still undetermined. So, if you ask me what is the most I spent on merch wise, it's this acrylic plate that is about to be released for Mitsuhide's route. If I didn't love this hoe so damn much.

hello!! NONSENSE i’d be honored to share my merch-making experience with all yall!!! you guys are the ones who have been keeping me afloat after all!

well ok so the first step to making merch is creating the design of course. i draw using adobe photoshop cs6 with a wacom intuos, just in case you’re curious about that as well! its super duper important that i draw it with a 300dpi resolution so i wont have any trouble with the printing quality! 

next up is contacting the supplier and giving my designs to them. this is…..the tricky part. finding a supplier that im comfortable with took me AGES! one of them messed up a great portion of my keychains, another one took a month to reply back to me, another one ended up being too expensive, and the list goes on. it’s extremely important to make sure that i communicate every single detail about my order clearly to them! it doesn’t matter if they think i’m being annoying or bossy, what matters is that the results come out satisfyingly and are up to par with my expectations! the whole process usually takes about 3-5 days, but sometimes when i need to rush things, i make a special request about how i need them faster. this usually results in a more costly price, but some suppliers don’t charge extra for this (bless their heart), so again, it’s just a matter of good communication with your supplies!

right now i’ve only done acrylic keychains, pins, standees, art prints and stickers, but im planning to expand a lot more with (possibly) plushies and pouches!! wish me luck! oh and all of my suppliers are located locally, but i heard alibaba and taobao have really great international suppliers!! my friend linked me to an enamel pin supplier from one of those sites and they actually look very decent so i hope i can try my hands on an enamel pin design one day too!!

moving on, next up is quality checking and packaging! i always make sure to quality check all of my products first before i pack them up. i usually print about 4-6 more products than i need to make sure that i have spare extras in case the supplier made a mistake on a few of my orders. this way, i won’t have to wait for them to make more!

once all products are checked, i pack them up in padded envelopes! it’s suuuuper duper important to use a shitload of bubble wrap. our mail service is absolute shit and our mails get tossed around very often, so it’s absolutely obligatory for me to utilize as much bubble wrap as i can! i also like to put in a few extra goodies like personalized cards, free stickers and some candies as a form of thank you to my customers! it needs a lot of effort to prepare all of them but it’s all worth it because i’m always so grateful for my customers’ support and i want to SHOWER THEM ALL WITH MY ETERNAL LOVE AND GRATITUDE

a few tips i can share for merch-making is probably:

count your prices accordingly!! make sure to check shipping prices so you won’t lose a shitload profit over a stupid mistake like miscalculating the shipping fee!

i cannot stress this enough: BE ASSERTIVE TO YOUR SUPPLIERS!! check up on them about how your orders are doing every goddamn hour if you need to! im kidding. maybe not every hour. every 12 hours will do

PRINT A SPREADSHEET OF YOUR CUSTOMERS’ ORDERS!! don’t just rely on the digital copy, it’ll help you a lot while packing, trust me!!

customers love freebies!!! they’ve helped you reached this far, show them a bit of your love for them! at least put in a thank you card or something!!

PROMOTE THAT SHIT!! go crazy with your shop promotion. nobody cares if you’re over-promoting. EARN THAT DOLLAR, FAM

last, but not least, don’t push yourself too hard!!! if you need a break from drawing/socializing/packing, take a goddamn break. your health is way more important. just make sure to be transparent to your customers; tell them that their orders will be a bit delayed. they’ll understand. if they don’t, the worst thing that could happen is the demand for refunds, but that’s so much more preferable than having a fucked up back or extreme fatigue from overworking yourself. these two things have happened to me so TAKE THE ADVICE JUST TAKE IT

As for my TSP brainrot......

It's being drowned out by my Wolfwood Trigun brainrot quite a bit right now, but that's not to say I don't still have TSP brainrot.

I'm still very receptacle to drawing TSP art since I did so just yesterday. Though with both brainrots I'm finding it difficult to use my brain at all, so there is that.

I still absolutely adore TSP and want to draw and make more content ofc. You don't have to worry about that.

As for my general life..... eh. I'll separate things into good, bad, and neutral feelings about the things.

Good: I got to have a sleepover with @dime-smothied (it was her first one ever, which was super crazy, lol). Also I bought I trigun print along with some stickers and a hoodie from my favorite artist ABDIllustraits (I would tag him bit I don't wanna bother him. He is on here though, and I adore his YouTube videos. The way he does them is just ♡♡♡♡♡)!!!! And earlier I got some TSP keychains and and acrylic standee in the mail, so I'm super happy about those!!! I love them a lot and I'm so excited to get the stuff from ABD!

Neutral: I've been temporarily back at work this week since they were severely understaffed due to people vacationing and such, so I'm making money again. So that's nice. I have a pretty set plan for moving out of my parent house, I just need to buy my own car, make doubly sure I have plenty of money saved up so I have time to find a job after I move, and then just get everything packed and double check my housing situation. So pretty soon I'll be able to move out and I'm excited about it, just gotta get all that stuff done.

Bad: Um. My pet snake Theo died two days ago........ I don't know what else I can say right now about it. I hurts and it's frustrating to say the very least. I loved him a lot and I miss him. So, I'm dealing with those emotions right now. I'm doing my best to cope, but we'll see as time passes how I do. Distractions are appreciated.

So yeah. That's pretty much everything I think. Honestly, I'm so happy to be getting asks from you again, you really help brighten my day 🅰️non, so thank you ♡ Right now I think I just need things to draw and fun drawings or rambles to look at. I'm always sad when I can't bring myself to draw or make anything so any ideas or suggestions mean the world to me.
