hi cherry! finally have time to play thru ch 10 and im so excited!!!!!! i had a quick (and probably stupid) question regarding a name i wanted to pick for my mc. insitutkurde has the name Zerîn, while behind-the-name has it spelled Zêrîn. is it fine to use either spelling? sorry if the answer is super obvious

Basically, Zerîn and Zêrîn have two different meanings!! It's a good example for how the accents in Kurdish letters can lead to two similar looking words meaning different things.

I sometimes see a player just slap an e with an ê or an i with an î on a non-Kurdish name and call it a day, and it's always funny to see because it really doesn't work that way. The accents are not just for "decor" or whatever lol, they have an actual function. They denote entirely different letters.

To answer your question: the "Zer" from Zerîn is the Kurmanji word for yellow, while the "Zêr" from Zêrîn means gold. I would say Zerîn is a more common name between the two, but Zêrîn is fine as well.

As general advice, though, I would always go with Institut Kurde for which name to choose. Behind The Names is user submitted, so you can't check for authenticity!!

1) go to the blog settings (I do it by the website customization page like the first screenshot).

2) in the description box, you're gonna use the code (<a href=“http://quickguide.tumblr.com/”>Link to Quick Guide</a>) to customize with your own words and links. Whatever words you DON'T want to be with the link should be OUTSIDE the code.

3) the link you want to add or show up when clicked will be placed between (="http://______"). And yes, your link MUST have the "https://," or the link won't work. Whatever words you want to be linked will replace the (>Link to Quick Guide<). As you can see, my bio has two links, so be sure to pay attention to which words are associated with your links. (yes, it's a lot of copying and pasting, lol)

4) when you're all set, refresh your page, check the link to see if it works, make changes if necessary, and there ya have it!!

personally i love character driven stories, so a man called ove by fredrik backman or pictures of you by caroline leavitt where we follow someone's journey as they interact with the people around them + their environment to come out the other side with a better appreciation for them ( or better, closure, if their journey is more emotional ) are really good reads

genre specific, i do like romance

currently i'm into reading about fictional middle aged characters/couples, so the silent treatment by abbie greaves + the secret life of albert entwhistle by matt cain are two of my most recent favs with that as the main theme ^ ^

all in all though, my go to authors are fredrik backman and alice oseman. read all of their books 🫡

To answer your question: I used to think that only the tags of the ones I follow are relevant for what shows up on my dash or is filtered out.

Example: you tag with "spider" or "spider tw" and my dash says "You have muted that term, sure you wanna see that?" vs. You don't tag, I see the post on my dash unfiltered.

However, apparently it's enough that *someone* along the RB chain tagged it with the muted term to be caught in the filter.

So, unless you make an original post and forgo tags (as it was the case with the blog in question that I meant with my post), if it was tagged at some point with the relevant term, you should be okay.

That being said, I would always try to tag for common triggers just as a precaution and general courtesy - but that's basically all it is. A courtesy. I know I cannot expect everyone to take care of me and my feelings - which is also why I didn't call the "offending" blog out or message them and just unfollowed.

Personally, I feel it should be general internet etiquette (nettiquette to use a favourite German name for it) to tag for common triggers, but that's just my personal opinion.

Questions! does Kai's opinion shape Lloyd's opinion of Garmadon a bit? We know Lloyd is pretty attached to Kai.

Is Kais Birthday fic still going to happen or is it put on hold? No rush or pressure I love all your works!

We once heard that Jay had a short crush on someone else and I think I only just realized that Kai was implied?! I always thought it was Chen😂 so how did this crush start? Since Kai was one of the kids who was mean to Jay.

1. I wouldn’t say Kai specifically is a direct cause for Lloyd’s change in opinion on Garmadon, but he does have a lot of influence on him.

2. It’s actually basically finished; I just need to polish some scenes and do some more editing…but at the rate I’m going it just might be Kai’s birthday again by the time I get it to my liking. XD I keep changing the middle part haha

3. It was indeed implied to be Kai lmao; before Kai started hanging with Chen, Jay was essentially as immediately smitten with Kai as he is/was with Nya. But then Kai fell into the bad crowd, roughed up Jay, and the feelings started to fade. But it is partly why he was stunned out of his mind (and terrified) when Kai rescued him from Chen in the pilots. Now, I wonder if Kai ever figures any of this out…………

4. From what I’ve written so far? Probably would tweak the first fic so Jesse actually does show up during the Nya/Vulcanell evacuation, and fix the progression of Chapter 11 because it still haunts meeee. As for the second fic, I’d make Olivia as prominent as I originally planned, and there’s also a few teeny extra details/events with Lloyd I would’ve liked to include, but what we have is a lot already, and there’ll be time for it in the future~

this is a poster i made for my call to action assignment in humanities! it's a bunch of basic and easy stretches for people who sit and work at a desk all day (me)

the idea is that you'd put the poster up above ur desk and do the stretches every 30 minutes or so,, the whole routine won't take more than about 6 minutes to complete and when done regularly it can prevent wrist, shoulder, neck and back pain! :)

all these stretches can be done while sitting (although i HIGHLY recommend you stand up and move around while taking a break from working)

When Senshi was young in the dungeon the majority of the adults he were with ostracized him. All except Gillin, who died to make sure Senshi had something to eat: unseasoned boiled meat that may or may not have been one of their comrades.

It really puts into perspective why he was so nurturing towards Chilchuck. When Chil reveals he’s 28 to the party, Senshi responds by telling him that he thought he was older. Senshi was in his 30s when he and his comrades got trapped in the dungeon, so it’s safe to assume that he thought Chil was at a similar age.

He met a young boy who was, from his perspective, forced to do dangerous work in the dungeon just like he was, and so, Senshi made an effort to look after Chilchuck in the same way Gillin looked after him.

Mind you, when Senshi was young in the dungeon he had to starve for weeks, eat the horse he loved, and finish it off spending the next i don’t know how many years wondering if he committed cannibalism.

Senshi understands first hand the value of nutrition and proper eating, so when he’s with the party he makes an effort to make sure they’re all eating a full and balanced diet. Not only that, but Senshi INVOLVES them in the process of getting food to eat, always preparing it in front of them and narrating every ingredient in the process so that there’s no doubt about what they’re eating.
