For those awaiting an answer on one of my more recent posts, and whether I'll be leaving, here it is. .....Under the cut, as it, in my usual fashion, gets lengthy, you can skip to the end for a TL:DR :)

I'm not going to leave tumblr/simblr, I'll be floating around and still liking people's posts, I'm probably gonna unfollow some people (not my mutuals ofc ilya) just because it's hard to keep up with my dash when I get over 10 notifications every 2 minutes or so especially when if I'm not going to primarily consume Sims 4 content. I'm going to put my mods folder into my external HDD, in order to preserve them ykwim, and I'm going to uninstall TS4, I'll try to make one more sim before the sims 4 gets poofed off my laptop, although as it stands even after freeing up 20 GBs of space, my space went back down to 400 MBs so 😭😭 I will probably be posting variety content, even though I know all my followers are primarily Sims content consumers (some of ya'll do other stuff, but I mean as a whole, my audience tends to be more Sims 4 related), I might play and share some of my Sims 1 content, which is not story oriented, it's just a little gameplay of Roo in the Sims 1 :) I'll also probably post Baldur gate stuff (if I can free up the storage for it LMAO), I'll post witcher content maybe, and plenty of other things, and like I said, I'll continue to float around, and I'll continue to reblog any Sims content I see and enjoy... as well as other things. .... So what about W.A.S? Yea. I dont know, while W.A.S IS supposed to be a fleshed out story, and while I know I AM leaving sims 4 behind, completely limiting what I can and cannot make story-wise (just cuz I don't know how to make scenes and stuff lmao), I will ATTEMPT to make W.A.S content, I will still make and post the Official teaser, and I'll probably introduce the characters myself sometime after the teaser (I'll take screenshots in CAS and just hope my storage doesn't dip TOO low). I may release some of the story in just text form, as I do really want to continue to post about the story. I'll try to come up with something tho, don't worry :)

I may also start getting back into art, I still need some hobby to preoccupy my time that isn't gaming, I will still do blender stuff (since I have a bunch of my Sims' DAEs) and I will maybe make more edits, but regardless, I still enjoy art and Sims 4 kinda consumed the time that I wanted to spend doing art, soooo yeah.

For the unrooleased tag, I have a bunch of sims that I've never posted, as well as renders that I've never posted, and I may, as Sims 4 filler, post those to fill the void that will become my Sims 4 content

and FINALLY. LAST THING I promise :) I know all of ya'll LOVE Roo, and I do want to reinforce the fact that ROO IS NOT A SIMS CHARACTER, I did NOT make him originally from the Sims, if you were at any point worried I would stop posting about him, I will not be, I will continue to share about Roo, probably with a lot less pictures considering I really only used TS4 as a visual assistant for his story, I do have his DAEs, so I can make SOME Roo blender content, albeit limited with Scenes and stuff. Roo is a character that I will continue to be passionate about, I never mentioned this but I LOVE to make Roo in pretty much every game I play (besides Skyrim................ and ofc games where u dont have customization), like Animal Crossing, I made a variant of Roo there, and in Stardew! You get the point, he will always be a prominent figure of my content. I may also bring back some characters I made from TS4, like Nirvana, I LOVE her character and would LOVE to continue to post about her, as well as Roo's family, I love posting about his family members and sharing their own story and what importance they are to Roo.

WOW, okay that was a lot, if you're skipping here for a clear answer, or a sort of TL:DR, here ya go, I don't want to leave tumblr, so I won't, and I won't necessarily leave the Simblr ring, TS4 is going to be uninstalled, but I WILL preserve my TS4 mods in my external HDD, and be on the look out for the last sim I make in TS4 :)

I'm a new user and saw your post about reblogs. Is there anything else I should pay attention to? Could you tell me if there is a post or guide or something I can consult on how tumblr works? I'm still getting really lost here and have trouble finding anything.

there’s actually an official staff blog with a bunch of good tips called @tips everybody should know about! but off the top of my head also:

1) make sure you have a profile photo. you don’t need a cover photo you can even just turn that off in your blog settings. this is to make sure people don’t think you’re a bot

2) have a different username here than you have other places and don’t share personal information of any kind here (huge mistake i made….). despite what some people say you do not need to share anything about ur sexuality, pronouns, diagnoses, opinions, etc. frankly if i could advise my younger self, i’d say just don’t make original posts or comments at all (if u wanna make commentary in reblog tags maybe?). use a diary or a journal instead of original posts about yourself or your opinions or comments on others’ posts. even if you delete your blog or change your username, the reblogs of things you say live on here forever.

4) reblog instead of like, and tag posts with what they’re about when you post and reblog (this is something i don’t do as much as i should bc im often on mobile and don’t feel like it and only do it for original posts). at least make sure you’re tagging for common content warnings and spoilers. don’t censor words in posts or tags if you’re trying to tag, bc that breaks people’s mute/blocklists. DO censor words/tags if you’re talking about something you don’t want to clog the tag for or attract attention to or something.

5) if you personally want to keep track of original posts, asks, and queued posts, create tags you use for each of those and on mobile manually tag with them every time you do one of those posts, and on desktop you can have an extension do it. in your blog settings you can make like your original post tag one of your “featured tags” if you want easy access, or other people to be able to see, which just means when they hit the search bar on your blog it’s suggested.

6) make sure you go to your dashboard settings and turn OFF “best things first”. i keep on the other algorithmic stuff like showing stuff based on likes as well, and i flip between the various feeds, but most of what you should be doing is following blogs that post or reblog what you like, following the TAGS of things you like, and those will appear chronologically in your regular dash “following” feed.

7) freely block, unfollow, and filter/mute people and topics. do not feel like you have any obligation to anyone. curate your experience on here.

8) turn off submissions on your blog, and turn off anon asks or even asks all together if you don’t want them. you are not obligated to answer every ask or even have an open ask box. you should also take a look at your settings for private messages and replies to set them to what you’re comfortable with.

9) how i use notifications is different than a lot of ppl bc i get a LOT of them but explore how the Activity and notifications page works to your favor, but turn off push notifs and as much as you can. followers, likes, etc, do not matter that much here if you’re not trying to build a following for art or something and you shouldn’t pay attention to it other than just for fun.

10) learn what T*RF, SW*RF, and white supremacist dogwhistles are and how to spot them bc they can still be prevalent on here and you may not realize. a lot of seemingly normal posts about feminism on here can be crypto t*rf shit so you need to learn how to spot it. (those kinds of posts spread to a lot of platforms and people don’t realize….)

11) do not get into discourse on here. of any kind. even if you’re right. some idiot will drain the life out of you arguing with you and people get weird. you’re not gonna convince people online of anything in a discourse fight most of the time and you will only come out of it drained or harassed yourself (frankly this is good advice for anywhere and sometimes even i slip up). in general even on here where engagement is not encouraged as much, every platform has engagement bait and discourse either purposely seeded to piss you off, or if it’s not on purpose it’s still pushed by algorithms.

12) for things like news, etc, this is general online advice but make sure you’re practicing basic media literacy to check how real a headline or a video or something is. what’s the source? how old is it? did they provide sources? etc

13) DO NOT REPOST ART. EITHER FROM HERE OR FROM OTHER WEBSITES. unless the artist says you can repost it (and you need to do so with credit, and look and see if they need to give permission). do not REBLOG reposted art either. you may find it in tags sometimes. do not encourage that behavior.

14) to that same end, do not post AI bullshit here. chatGPT, character AI, voiceover deepfakes, AI videos, etc. don’t do or support those in general but don’t post that shit here

15) in general, and this is something i try to tell people on EVERY platform, remember that what you see people discussing online is often a small minority of what most people think or feel. it may FEEL like everyone is talking about a certain thing, or fighting about a certain thing, but it does not represent the whole. there’s so many discourses where people are like “why do x always say y” and i’m like well they don’t. the very online segment of x often say y bc it gets engagement or bc they are very loud. (this isn’t the case for everything but it happens often for very stupid topics). this isn’t to dismiss important conversations had online by a minority of people that aren’t being discussed wider enough either - bc that also does happen. but that is often for things that are more important than like, the same movie sex scene discourse i see on twitter every 2 weeks.

16) don’t feel any obligation to your “followers”. you are not an influencer you are just here having fun, and your followers follow for the things you reblog, not for you. be FREE.

17) on desktop browser, get the XKit Rewritten extension and go wild with the settings. its a really nice tool and has a lot of good features, like the quick reblog and queue features that give you those auto tags and stuff. (also if you aren’t already using Ublock Origin extension as your adblocker on desktop, get that too).

18) if you have an iphone, apple store limits what they can show you within the app, so if you want to look at more NSFW, the mobile browser version of tumblr is quite decent. but also go to your blog settings on desktop and make sure your settings of what it is showing you on your dash include sensitive content (even if you set it to have a filter over it at first), bc it sometimes autoflags random shit as “sensitive”. also play with your dashboard filters with tags for nsfw content to your comfort - it wont remove it it’ll just put a thing over it so it doesn’t pop up in public accidentally before you click to look at it.

I'm gonna be honest, I follow over 700 blogs, but I've also been on this site since like 2015 and probably a large chunk of those are inactive now, I just can't be bothered to go through them to unfollow because like, not really necessary is it? Then there's a good handful of blogs that aren't inactive as such but post only very rarely, but when they post it's something I generally really wanna see. And a bunch I used to share interests with but no longer do but just never remember to actually unfollow...

And then on top of those, I'm in a lot of very niche communities that just aren't going to end up on the For You page (which is recent enough addition that I never really got used to using it anyway and generally only remember it's there if I go to it accidentally) no matter what. Including, but not limited to, the community of people who post in my first language about local politics and such topics. And a group of folks dedicated to a niche stage adaptation of JRR Tolkien's Beren and Lúthien (for you page gives me tolkien fandom stuff, sure, but really just regarding the more mainstream parts of the fandom, not the really obscure stuff), or other small fandoms like that. Fannish communities built around not a specific fandom but some other aspect of the fan experience. That sort of thing. Like, when you're into like ten different types of niche stuff you don't find posts about unless you follow people who post it, that adds up quick. Plus then on top of that ofc I follow a number of blogs for slightly more mainstream things, plus old friends I follow primarily for the friendship with them rather than any shared interests or lack thereof.

I also have like four different sideblogs plus my main blog, so what I reblog gets divided between those, depending on what interests it's about

The signs which you mentioned for the couples to break up Were those sign visible around July 17th because I was not here that time I am just curious to know. Did they unfollow a lot of people on each other sides or not liking each other pics or stop visiting each other .

Well, you have to keep in mind that during 1.0 they were they were still HIDING their rlshp tremendously, so some of the "signs" were probably easier to miss back then. 👀

When you're hiding a rlshp, personally unfollowing a bunch of ppl would have been a dead giveaway that they were definitely in a rlshp w/each other all along, so I'm sure they refrained from doing that in order to keep the privacy of breakup. That's just my theory. 🤷🏾‍♀️

They were still looking each other's posts, but they did have a slight hiatus from doing so, esp when the Tolivia pics dropped.

i feel like it's bad timing to say "im going to take a break from this site due to discourse" since that's super vague so I'm going to be a little more specific by saying seeing a bunch of different people angrily talk about other specific users on this site and what they've done, that i dont have context for (and/or ppl not mentioning specific people even, which I understand why ,), is mentally draining and exhausting as someone who tries to find out if the situation is being represented honestly. cause oftentimes people are going off of misremembered information from years ago, rumors, or are vaguely speaking about it to represent themselves in a better light

it's tiring. most of the posts on my dash are people angry about something (outside of important issues like palestine or the US government or general bigotry) and it's not like. mentally good for me because I'm not getting much human interaction outside of this due to how many classes im taking and it makes me extremely paranoid in my interaction w/ others

im not talking about people being upset at recurring racism/transmisogyny from users on the site but just like "I saw someone on here say this" or "why are you guys following (user) when they said (bad thing) (no evidence)". and sometimes things that could've been settled by talking it out just Aren't. this level of vagueness / type of interaction where everyone assumes the worst and don't ask for clarification really fucks w/ how i interact in interpersonal relationships where I constantly reword things or think about how what im saying could be construed. combined w/ a specific form of trauma im dealing w/ unpacking right now, this shit fucks w/ me. im probably gonna unfollow some ppl later and change my approach to how i use this site

It's kinda weird that the discussion is always on if jikook will ever officially come out because I'd selfishly like to see it and I think it would be earth shattering but I'm also not expecting every time I think of it I think of the namjoon who's gonna save the world vid. It sounds like you’re saying that people put too much pressure on Jikook to come out not only as queer but also as in a relationship with each other, and you think there should be more of a balance and Yoongi should get some pressure too? Honestly… I’m not sure I’m seeing that pressure, or discussion like you referenced. Maybe the jikookers I follow are just exceptionally respectful, lol, but for the most part I see people understanding and accepting that we may never get confirmation of this relationship, and that honestly, we aren’t owed it. For the most part, jikookers (again, the ones I follow and interact with) are a respectful bunch who tend to have a fairly firm grasp of realistic expectations and cultural nuance.

You mentioned “losing respect for them”… like, if they don’t come out? I’m not sure what you’re referencing but I agree with you that it would be wild to lose respect for them over that. They are their own people and like you said they owe us nothing when it comes to their personal life choices.

You seem passionate about this and you didn’t ask for my advice but I’m going to offer it unsolicited anyways, so feel free to disregard: if there are shippers you follow who say disrespectful things like this about the guys or imply that Jimin and Jung Kook OR Yoongi need to “hurry up and come out” or something, I would say remove those people from your fandom experience. Unfollow, block, move on. There are times where it is necessary to consume content that is upsetting — like in the case of certain news/ world events or when we have to acknowledge injustice, etc. But I would argue that it is almost never necessary to consume upsetting content in a shipping space 😅 (editing this to add that I totally get the desire to argue against dumb opinions or behaviors and in fact will often engage with people on here to do just that — so I also encourage you to respectfully disagree with those people who have unrealistic expectations when and if you feel so inclined to do so. Just, you know. Manage your energy and space.)

Theres some photos of Stas and Colby floating around from Vegas on twitter that dont look like just friends, it looks like Colby in Japan pt2.. No word how they came about and i know you like her but this is just my take not looking for an argument or fight…

Its pretty obvious something is going on between Stas and Colby. I just find it fucked up and telling that while he was taking Tanya out on little dates and Abbey posted that pic of her with them, Tanya followed Stas and she never followed back. When Colby was all cuddly with Carrington on the live , Stas was super serious and only got talkative again once she left and she was next to Colby. She doesnt try to hide anything on her twitter either. Its not just on her though, who knows what Colby is doing but she definitely hasnt made it a secret shes liked him for a while even telling people what cologne he smelled like on tiktok and that he smelled like roses. She doesnt seem like a nice girl honestly, not just saying that because shes near him its the way she acts with other girls near him aside from Kat, and Abbey. She even unfollowed Amber and Tanya went and followed her and liked her photos and Stas is over here following Seth and Josh instead. I just hope it doesnt turn into a hes only allowed around this specific group of people like it did with Sam when he and Kat got super serious and she got jealous of other girls near him. Or one of these things where all we see is Sam and Colby + Kat and Stas in everything. idk if you are the same anon or if it's multiple anons that have told me this, but so many of you have weirdly noticed that stas doesn't follow back/unfollows girls more often than guys. personally, i don't think there is some deeper meaning to any of this. maybe she just doesn't vibe with girls the same way as she does with guys. maybe she's insecure and doesn't like seeing ppl with nice bodies on her insta feed. maybe it's something else. none of us know.

i scrolled thru her likes on twitter. while she did like some stuff that were about colby, they also included HER in the tweet too. so it wasn't just her liking tweets about colby. she's likes things that ppl send to her or @ her, and sometimes that includes tweets with her and colby. it's not like she's liking tweets that are ONLY about colby. if she has done that, she hasn't done it that recently.

also, her telling ppl on tiktok about colby's cologne and what he smells like isn't that strange. that boy has been asked that question how many times and still doesn't answer it? she did a solid for the fandom lol

i'm not trying to argue or fight you with this response, anon. if you genuinely don't like her, that's fine with me. personally, i don't see any of this as some deeper conspiracy that she's secretly with him or is overly possessive of him for no reason or is trying to send messages to the fandom that him and her are together or whatever. i just think they're friends and danced together and somehow that is getting blown out of proportion.

I feel you re: fandom exhaustion. Have you tried unfollowing/blocking people with takes you don’t like? I’ve found that fandom a much more relaxing place once I started not letting the stressful stuff cross my dash in the first place. Sometimes it meant unfollowing someone who posted a bunch of other stuff I actually liked, but if it meant not going into a comment-reading spiral every time they shared stuff I disagreed with, I thought it was totally worth it.

(even if they were only sharing something so they could rebut or disagree with it; like yeah I like that they’re on my side but if they’re going to keep dragging untagged takes I dislike or discourse onto my dash, I would still give them the block/unfollow because intentionally or not they were still causing me stress)

oh i've unfollowed LOTS of people. i've unfollowed enough people that i'm starting to run out of the content i want on my dash, cuz it's hard to find the good stuff without the bad and even blogs that i thought were innocuous occasionally end up slipping shit onto my dash. i've only actually blocked a handful of people (the ones that are Like That™ enough not to leave well enough alone), and i've also blacklisted those names so posts that have additions from them or even reference to them are no longer shown on my dash (though i do see "hidden for X", which often lets me know the person who reblogged it follows them, which is a red flag all on its own a lot of the time🙃)

and discord is its own mess. i get 95% of my social interaction from my discord fandom servers, and i love them to death, honestly i do, i've lived in those for YEARS and been happy to do so. but, again.......it all felt a lot less stressful in years past. it's the hazard of large servers that you're guaranteed to have conflicting opinions in there, and in most regards that's one of the things that i absolutely love about it. discussing things from various angles, getting different viewpoints, having actual conversations about the show(s) that i love are what make fandom worth it. but conflicting over the same things over and over again, seeing the same cold takes that i would usually just unfollow someone for on tumblr and not really being able to do anything about it or escape it (can't blacklist words/terms on discord like on tumblr, you just have to wholesale block individuals, which i can't really do because i moderate several servers and mods can't just ignore things 😅 in their servers), is turning out to be very grating nowadays in ways that it didn't used to be, even if it's only a fraction of the actual activity. even just the passive aggressive mention of some of these topics is enough to make me feel like shit for the rest of the day.

same with fic. i've hardly read any fanfiction at all in MONTHS, not because i don't love the characters anymore, but because there's no way to tell what take the author is gonna have or what fanon characterization they're gonna lean into, and getting halfway through a fic before being hit with That Stuff™ kinda makes me wanna cry by now. the subtle stuff never gets tagged for, but it sure as fuck can still ruin my week. it's safer to just not bother. and that SUCKS.

my anxiety has been SKY HIGH lately, and i can't tell if it's because i'm already super anxious for outside reasons and that's making the fandom stuff worse, or if the fandom reasons are making me super anxious on their own and making the outside stuff worse. it all feeds into each other and everything is just bad.

and there's not a whole lot that can be done about it besides, like. leaving. which i'm not gonna do. because i do love the show and i do love interacting with other fans of it and sharing ideas and jokes and spitballing story ideas. without all of that, what would i even do with myself??? as previously mentioned, this stuff is 95% of my social circle 😅 and i have nothing else to replace it with. unfortunately, TW still takes up the majority of my brain, and trying to cut that out would just make me isolated and even more miserable.

I have an twitter account and I used to follow many jikookers accounts there. But most of them are spending half time to fight with tkks.

I understand calling them out for openly hating a member or spreading fvcking lie. But many times these accounts just retweets some immature shipping stuff they've tweeted and starts a fight with them. Some times the said tkkr tweet will only below 10 likes or something but after Jkkrs call them out, it gain attention, all tkkrs likes it and follows them and turns to a whole Ship war.

Most of the timeline would be calling out these tkkrs and spreading negativity to timeline. When instead we can report those small accounts and block it. For some days I was feeling so down coz of this continues spreading of negativity and jikookers ' hyping 'the tweet indirectly, especially last 2 days. Which inturn affected my relationship with the boys. No, not coz I hate any members but the first things we see when opening twitter is a ton of negativity and our mood will be completely destroyed and thus we can't really enjoy things and boys and good side of army twt. I also couldn't just throw it away and go coz I need to vote and get updates, twitter is the fastest platform for that.

Today I was voting for them for AOTY coz we were low in votes and finally we won it. Literally tears came out of my eyes. I was soooo proud and happy. I never been proud of anyone who's not blood related to me but yeah they are my babies 😭😭😭. Then I understood our relationship shouldn't be loosened coz of some toxic people. So I just unfollowed a bunch of jikookers who always invite negativity to the timeline even while an important event is happening. Curated my timeline lil more precisely, were I get to cry and be happy for BTS, jimin and Jikook. Coz I'm there for boys and not for followers or intercations. Now it feels very peaceful seeing the timeline.

I understood even if 10000 jikookers call them out they are not gonna throw their wormy brain away, they will continue to hate jimin. So no point of correcting those rabid dogs. Instead the thing I could do is to make the space fill with more love for him and his works, which I'm sure he also only cares than these negativity. He's takin break from sns, good for him. I'm not saying this is the only way, if you are mentally strong and is ready to call out stupid people and is ready for the negativity they put on timeline, ofcourse you can be a loud jikooker on Twitter, you are like strongest soldiers but I'm having no such mental strength to immerse in negativity and still be ok. So I did this to save myself and protect my love for the boys from not being soaked in negativity.

Now I feel so peaceful ✌😊

I'm so happy you did this, and now you feel peaceful. Everyone should do what works best for them. If someone wants to be a soldier and fight the lies and hates, it's also their right, as long as they don't hurt anyone.

But there is a problem here, you don't have to go for negativity to witness negativity. I have a Jikook account, and I only post about Jikook and BTS. Once I had a tweet about how beautiful Jikook's trip to Tokyo was. And then a tkkr quoted: "other members had trips together, it's not special." I replied, "Did any of them other than Jikook or Jihope have trips I don't know about?" She posted photos of taekook's so-called Okinawa trip, and when I showed her how this trip was made up by taekookers and it's not real, her followers attacked me for no reason. That day my Twitter turned into a mess, and I was feeling stressed until I blocked every single one of them.

This account had 200 followers, not big nor burner, and she really didn't know that trip was fake and made up. She probably thought she could educate me with her "proofs." She didn't have bad intentions, but the people who saw those tweets in their tl, weren't all like her.

You can live your happy, peaceful jikooker life on Twitter, but it can not go on for long. Sooner or later, one of them will attack you and turn everything for you into a nightmare, and the more follower you have, the attack will be more severe.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen...I cannot believe you're turning into a kpop blog, of all things. Well, since you're neck-deep already, might as well ask: what exactly is the appeal of following a bunch of band members? Nonjudgmental question. I listen to BTS and I enjoy a lot of their music, as well as a bunch of other kpop bands, but I have never understood why people follow the members obsessively. It's kinda beyond me. If you don't mind, can you please try and explain it to me? Thanks!

Oooh idk, sounds a smidge judgemental XD I don't have the energy or patience to go into a super deep explanation about kpop in general, so just gonna say this and ramble a bit:

Idk man, it just happened? XD I mean, I'm still new to kpop and bts myself, but like, people have favorite actors and authors and filmmakers and follow them and their works pretty closely, and I don't think that being a fan of members of a kpop band is that much different? You like the content that a person/people produce, so you look for their other content, and then you find that the person themselves is pretty cool? And of course there's toxic, overly obsessed fans, but what fandom doesn't have those? Same shit, different fandom ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I won't go into the kpop industry and marketing strategies and junk, but I will say the content they and their company put out there humanizes what could have been just some random guys dancing in a music video.

The members of BTS are all incredibly talented, and their music is fucking amazing, but they've also got their Run BTS series and other videos that shows them behind the scenes. Not to mention they've made a speech at the UN, have donated millions to different causes, and seem to be just generally cool guys. It's pretty easy to become a fan of all of them pretty quickly.

If you're really curious, just look up different compilations on youtube or something. Watch videos that explain their lyrics and dances. The rap line's songs are brilliant, and Idol? I can't EVEN. Just the fact that they came up with all of this and promote self love to generations that are struggling during shitty times? Dude.

Not to say they don't have issues and have made mistakes, but to err is human I guess?

That fragman is both the SWEETEST and the MOST OMINOUS thing I’ve ever seen. ALL AT ONCE.  

Friends... we’re gonna go through some things.  That being said, everything is going to be great. These writers have been solid so far, and I have faith they have come up with something really interesting to increase the longevity of this show. And I don’t know about you, but I’m prepared to go through some things if it means keeping Eda and Serkan for longer.  (I heart them)

This show is about Eda and Serkan and their love story, at it’s core it’s a comedy, it will all lead to happy things, but... yeah, buckle up!

You could be right!  I like your thinking. I checked on twitter and I had to back away slowly. The juvenile temper tantrums were too much for me today.  

Look, I think it’s clear something big is coming. It has to, there has to be something that shakes up the show. Some of the theories are more upsetting and catastrophic than others, but the writers won’t do anything that dings either character or their love for one another.  Whatever happens will showcase the connection between these two and the chemistry between the actors, that’s the point of everything, and anything that does those things is gonna be a-okay with me. 

@jan31​ Hi Liza. Do you think we are going to see the wedding in 28 or they will leave it on a cliffhanger for next week. Lots of theories going round mainly cos of Neslihan saying new dimensions coming in episode 29, which could just mean married life etc. I have seen suggestions of memory loss, it's all a dream since episode one. I would personally love Eda to wake up like in episode one but for it to be a total turn around and she is the boss and Serkan the employee. Eda being robot yildiz appeals to me!!! I know it will never happen but leave me here with my dreams!!

I started the day at 90% sure they’ll be married in 28/29, but now I’m down to like 30% that they’ll get married in these episodes. I really, really want them to get married before whatever happens happens, because every scenario I can think of for this reset or starting again, seems like it would be better if they were married.  

However, the shooting spoilers from today, make me question that. Namely the videos where Hande appears to still be wearing the ring on her right hand. We shall see, that could be for many reasons. 

Honestly, though, I wouldn’t hate a memory loss storyline. Seeing one of them (and Serkan’s line in the trailer makes it seem like it might be him) lose their memory and have to fall in love all over again? There are worse fates for a shipper than getting to experience that all again but in a different way.

Today Neslihan made it worse by addressing everything and claiming she didn’t like all those Hande-bashing posts because... wait for it... she was HACKED. Oy. Hackers got in and went back two years to like gross posts about Hande? Sure, Jan. While I don’t believe that for a second, I guess that at least gives her cover with Hande so they can all pretend it’s true and move on so it’s not awkward on set.  But, yikes, she needs to consult a publicist, she took a narrative that was circulating in certain circles in fandom and made sure all her followers were aware. Not very savvy. 

As for the paps coming after Hande, yes I did see her in the car, she did look overwhelmed. Back off vultures!!! That’s why I think Kerem sometimes throws himself to the wolves so that doesn’t happen. She always handles them like a pro, but you can tell she’d rather be anywhere else on earth than talking to them. 

The pap stuff is worse than I’ve seen before, they’re like vultures circling for any conjecture (sometimes made up out of thin air) they can turn into a question and blame fans. OUAT actors dealt with nothing like this. Also I can’t believe they never ask about the show. Like after last week? They could legit ask about the sex scene which probably would have given them some angle on the actors that they wanted, (especially since it was too hot for Turkish TV) but they let that pass them by, and instead asked the same questions about being together that they never answer. Dumbasses. They are not only awful people, they are awful at their jobs. 

In Van, the paps pay off crew members for info, they always know more than fans. Also I don’t remember stars of my shows getting this level of tabloid attention before. Except for on Riverdale, Lili and Cole generated that level of interest, and while I didn’t pay terribly close attention to them, I feel like they rarely talked to the paps, were just photographed. Also I don’t suspected the CW of calling the paps on them, but I suspect either the network or production company of sometimes calling them on Hande and Kerem.

If they’d left his story at just going back to his country, then the Prince really wouldn’t have served his purpose. He was brought on to cause some sort of trouble, so they probably need him to cause the trouble before he goes, lets hope it ends with this kidnapping!

And to answer your question, yes, I do think it’s weird that neither trailer touched on it. On any other show I’d think it was a huge red flag, but on this show maybe not as much because  a) there’s obviously a lot of romance in this episode, it’s not crazy that they are focusing on that to draw people in with the promos  b) this show likes to do cliffhangers that end up being no big deal, that happens a lot.  

Who knows it could turn out to be a big deal that shapes the rest of the episode in some unexpected way (Eda’s captured the whole episode and she’s dreaming about wedding prep, or... who knows) but I think it’s more likely that they resolve in the first 5-10 minutes and then move on.  Since we know from the summary (not that I trust those) that Serkan goes on the bachelor weekend, it feels like the Prince is taken care of prior to that. I don’t think he’d leave her alone for a second if there was a chance the Prince was still a threat. Perhaps Babaanne is pissed he tried to kidnap Eda and tells them she’ll handle it herself???

The ratings were terrific during the summer. But to your point, it has a huge fandom both in Turkey and internationally, but it’s worth noting that most of those charts you see where it beats every other show in every imaginable social metric is just for Turkey.  

It’s one of those lightning in a bottle situations where you get the right property and the right actors together at the right time and magic happens.  And, for sure, the number one reason is the shipping. Shipping drives fandom engagement, and a fantastic ship with a juicy, fun, tropey love story is what this show offers. It also offers up two extremely attractive, talented, likeable leads with off-the-charts chemistry (plus the added speculation about an off-camera relationship that has intrigued more than a few fans, tabloids and gossip sites and fueled interest) who have done a good job of building the fanbase through their social media engagement. Plus the timing is part of it as well. I don’t know about you, but this show hit the spot during this pandemic and the horror of 2020. We all needed this escape.

I don’t know about a switch flip, this show has been fanfic land since the first episode!  The tropes! That is how I described it to multiple people when I first started watching: an AU fanfic come to life.

As for the writing changes, no, I don’t think backlash after 25 affected 26 or 27, because 26 was already 90% shot, and 27 already written. However, I assume they themselves could tell that 25 got just too dark and had strayed pretty far from the DNA of the series. While I didn’t think it was bad, it was not fun to watch and this show ought to be fun to watch. 

Let’s hope, however, that the backlash affects future episodes in that they know what works... and what doesn’t.  The last two episodes definitely felt reminiscent of the first batch of episodes. Light, funny, romantic. If they can keep that tone... I’ll be thrilled.

Yes, it was lovely. You know I’ve preached a lot about how even though Eda and Serkan were broken up, they’ve still been together all this time. And it’s true, but there is something about them truly being together that is magical. We never got enough of that the first time around (a writing mistake in my opinion) and they’re so good together it’s lovely to watch.

Will Balca backdown even if she’s humiliated like that? She’s so delusional I’m not sure. What I am sure is that she’s dangerous. This came in before we saw the other two fragmans that have no mention of the kidnapping. Hard to picture how that is so easily resolved. Unless she frees herself (which seems unlikely in her groggy state) or maybe Melo’s future boyfriend is able to stop it before they get far?  Or I don’t know. I just know that I want to see Serkan lose his mind and all the other characters see Serkan lose his mind and then I want it to be over. LOL.

Bye bitches!  I don’t think there’s any redemption for Balca and Seiman. They both have poisoned/dosed people, hard to come back from that.  And there is no need to redeem them because neither is compelling enough to be a long-term character. But maybe Granny, we probably will see a redemption arc for her.

SO GOOD! I was thrilled to see that sort of comedy, the sort of comedy we’d come to expect, from these writers. I think it bodes very well indeed!  

That scene was amazing. I know Neslihan said that much of it was improvised. Probably that line from Serkan (since Serkan is SO out-of-his-mind in love I’m not sure he could even joke about having Eda only two nights a week! LOL) was improv from Kerem, and Aydan asking about the other nights, and Seyfi bringing up the weekend. And Eda’s very Hande-esque “Ser-KAN.” 

I just love rewatching that scene and checking out everyone who is breaking character and just losing it. Cagri most of all. He’s blurred aback there but you can see Ferit spends the whole time laughing or trying to stifle a laugh. Reminds me of Cagri in the scene in 18 when they’re watching the security footage he was losing it in that scene as well.

Great questions. We’re 36 hours from finding out (well I'm longer than that because I wait for the English subs, hee hee) All I know is I want to see these scenes.. one way or another!

I really admire the way you're not afraid to speak your mind about stuff even when you have strong opinions people might not agree with. I'm starting to realise that I'm way too scared of what people think of me. The thing is, I really dread being mass-unfollowed because I'm a small blog with only about 120 followers so I feel like I can't afford to say anything too controversial - and I really don't like the person that's turning me into. For example, there's certain internet people who make content about Supernatural who I'd really like to defend because I think that sometimes the fandom is too hard on them - and at the same time there's certain actors (who may or may not be planning a certain prequel series) who I'm starting to realise I really don't think much of at all. And I'd love to be able to voice my opinions a bit more but I always end up chickening out because I'm scared people won't like me because of it. I feel like the internet can be so judgy about just a few small opinions, and I love Tumblr so much in general, but also... I really don't ever want to be that person who has to follow popular opinions and can't speak my mind.

Anyway I just wanted to say I really admire you because you seem to be so good at sticking to your own opinions but not alienating people and I really wish that I could be like that.

First off, thank you! It isn't something I have always been good at. Like any habit or skill it takes practice and effort. a lot of times i'm still in the same boat as you, really admiring people who are even more bold about what they think on here. I think there's a certain freedom that comes with having a big follower base and there's another kind of freedom that comes with only having only a few followers. I have like 3.5k followers here (which is insane and not something i have dealt with ever in the past) and only like 400 on my main (which I've had since 2011) so sometimes i feel more comfortable sharing certain stuff on main that i wouldn't here, and vice versa. I also absolutely still hold some stuff back here cause that feeling of wanting people to like me is still really strong. I think on the one hand the internet mentality encourages us to share every thought and opinion we have on everything, and a good thing to keep in mind is that you don't have to do that. like you fully can just have opinions that you know will cause a stir and say to yourself : hey i don't want to deal with the fallout of sharing that i'm gonna keep that one in the drafts. there's a difference between not sharing something cause you're afraid of being judged and not sharing something cause you just don't want to deal with it.

personally the actor/rpf stuff that i can get on a medium sized horse about is a really firm boundary i want to keep so it only benefits me to share my opinion and have people who disagree with me on that unfollow. last time i fielded a bunch of asks about it i lost maybe 100 followers? even with as many as i have i still notice that and it did kinda bother me, but i don't want people who are really sensitive about that shit following me so ultimately that was a good thing. on the flip side of that, people wouldn't want to follow me if i just regurgitated what everyone else said first and better. i still lose followers when i get into stuff like that but lately i also gain about as many as i lose, so people are here for a reason i guess. everyone here brings something new and a little different to the table, and whatever your opinions are there are absolutely people on here who would agree with you if you shared. when you are your authentic self you can only benefit, because you give others the chance to interact with who you really are? that got too deep for a fandom post but you get what i'm saying.

also it is good to keep in mind that it is just tumblr. you don't need to base your worth on how many followers you have on here. its just a dumb show that we talk about on a dumb website and if you're dreading consequences when you talk about it i'd encourage you to take a little step back and think about what you get out of your interactions on here. are you making friends? do you want to make friends? do you want to get in heated internet arguments? do you want people to reply to your posts with "omg yes finally someone said it!"? you never need to be stressing about this website (not to say you're wrong for feeling stress, just to say it isn't worth the stress you're feeling).

this might come out like a vent thing but i have no queer friends to talk to and am too scared to make friends

i (f17) have been thinking that i might be bi for over 2 yrs now and am very very very paranoid about people finding out about it and recently read comp het and a few things related to it and i think i might be a lesbian but this just hit me like a fucking truck and just i CANNOT be a lesbian i can't even say it out loud tho i couldn't do it with bisexuality too but i don't want to be gay i want to be straight and all of this is just crushing me so bad i have my exams amd school work pending, I'm failing my classes, i used to self harm like a year ago and stopped after 3 4 months i think but i am back at it and it's worse this time.....i have no one to talk to coz i am also very shy and even my best friend is being distant or is just saying ok whenever i try to talk to her about this which i understandable as she is straight and doesn't get what I'm feeling like and it's a lot and i know this will sound super dumb but i tried to "become" straight like i unfollowed every queer acc and scraped every rainbow colored thing in my room i started trying to limit myself in any way and make sure i don't act "gay"(dress wise behaviour wise etc) and i cannot do it i just can't happen to change it and it's only been 4-5 days.......i don't want to be gay, if i were straight i would have never self harmed or did as badly i am doing in school rn and like it's my final yr and the marks matter and just i don't know; i don't even know what i expect you to reply to this honestly

You cannot “become” straight. That’s literally why conversion therapy doesn’t work. It’s impossible. Your sexual oriantation isn’t something you have any control over. It’s just what it is. It might change naturally but you cannot ~make it~ change. Because sexual orientation isn’t sticking a bunch of rainbows to your bedroom wall (or scraping them off). It’s whom you are attracted to - that’s not something anyone can control.

And that’s a fact you have to learn to accept because otherwise you won’t ever be able to move past this. You are what you are. Whether that’s bi or gay or some other shade of queer remains to be seen, I guess. But you cannot just force yourself to be straight and trying so will only make your mental health worse because you will keep failing at it. Because it is impossible.

You gotta learn to accept that you are queer. And in order to do so I recommend the exact opposite of what you’ve been doing. Follow more queer accounts. Slab all those rainbows back on! Read up on queer history. Try to talk to people about it - if you can’t do that offline then do it online. Find queer friends on tumblr or join a queer discord server. Show to yourself that you are not alone.

And as for your mental health and self-harm: if you have access to it then pls think about getting professional help from a queer-friendly therapist or some kind of queer counselling. Ask google if there is a queer resource center in your country or your specific area that you can contact to ask for help and guidance. They might be able to refer you to people and resources that can help. Other than that, try to find less dangerous coping mechanisms by looking for alternatives to self-harm.

Just like you cannot will yourself to magically be straight you cannot just make your mental health better over night. It’s gonna take time and energy. It isn’t a cake-walk for some people. And that’s still okay because it’s worth it in the end. Also, keep in mind that you are going through all of this in the middle of a global pandemic - which for me as a 31yo is already mindblowingly tough on my mental health. I can only imagine what it’s like for teenagers to go through this right now on top of the regular teenage struggles AND on top of figuring out one’s queerness. You might think it doesn’t have anything to do with your struggle at school and your queerness but everything’s connected, kiddo. For people who are prone to isolate themselves (which you basically said you are, being shy and all) this pandemic situation can really strengthen that character trait for the worse. So please try to reach out to people. I’m proud you’re already doing so by messaging us. But try to keep doing that. Talk to people as much as you can and don’t shy away from asking for help.

You might currently not like being queer. But you are. And you gotta make your peace with that. So take a deep breathe, accept that your queerness is something you cannot change and then take your baby steps towards being okay with it. And then going from “okay” to actually loving it. it might take a while but it’s worth it. You are worth it!

I'm not sure you still see Eren as a character anymore. You only see him as a plot device through which other characters develop. Or you think Eren has reached Nirvana and don't have room for development?. Eren will live till the end of the series whether you guys like it or not

The same anon by the way. All you talk about is how Armin will show his growth from idealism by confronting Eren or how Mikasa will exert her independence and growth from killing Eren or how Gabi will prove her growth by being what Eren couldn't. Is this Eren you're treating like this an object or a character? WHAT ABOUT EREN HIMSELF??? I'm unfollowing by the way till you become more open minded. It seems you have a fixed ending in mind and bend all the evidence to match it.

That said, I have never said Eren will not get any future focus and I have been talking about Gabi, Mikasa and Armin simply because  they are in the latest chapter, while Eren is not. What is more, I have received asks about them and not about Eren this month. That is all.

I have made clear here why I think a conflict between the other characters and Eren should arise. When it comes to Eren specifically I have written this:

At the same time, so far Eren has more or less managed to  obtain what he wants without much psychological struggle that we can  see. What I mean is that we have been shown him struggling physically,  but we have not been given any access to his head, so we know he is  struggling and suffering, but for some reason we are not experiencing it  with him. However, we need to see this struggle and not just to know  that it is probably there. In short, Eren is in the middle of a series  of conflicts among which the one with his friends is one and before he  can solve all of these conflicts we should be shown more of his internal   world. This is why I think the conflict between him and the others is   still not solved and that it would be more interesting for it to   escalate before it can be solved.

As for now, I think that there are two things which should be considered when it comes to Eren and I have stated them above.

1) His POV has not been shown to us.

2) He has apparently no more obstacles left.

It is obvious that these things must change before Eren can receive any future focus or development and for them to change, it is clear that the current situation must be modified by other characters.

This is obvious especially when it comes to point 2). As a matter of fact, we are currently shown Eren leading an attack against the world and there is apparently nobody who can stop him.

It is true that the notion that Eren has full control over the coordinate has been discussed in the current chapter since he has been unable to control the pure titans or to change them back. In short, there could hypothetically still be a conflict in the path dimension between Eren and Ymir/Zeke (who are the only two other characters who are with him in that dimension), but this conflict will basically make so that the fate of the world and the ending of the manga are in the hands of a bunch of characters in a huge cast and of these three characters only Eren is a main one (even if Zeke is definately important, characters like Armin and Mikasa should be more important than him given their build up).

In other words, a conflict where Eren has to find a way to gain full control over the Coordinate could give him the chance to develop/share his POV, but 1) it would be repetitive since we have already been shown that in the previous three chapters and 2) it won’t make full use of snk huge cast.

This is why, I think it will make more sense for someone outside the path dimension to oppose Eren and why shouldn’t the other important characters be the ones who do so? I think that a conflict of this kind has the potential to give each character focus and to wrap every character arc in a nice way and this is true for Eren as well.

I would also like to repeat what I said here about Mikasa and Armin and to apply it to Eren as well:

I hope that this makes clear why Gabi has been  developing way faster than Mikasa and Armin. Ironically, it is because  they are the main characters hence their arcs will be among the last  ones to be solved.

Eren is the central character of the series, so it makes sense for his arc to be solved towards the very end (even if Isayama can structure his story in unexpected ways, so we will see what happens). In other words, I would not be surprised if he were to receive the final focus and if we were shown his POV towards the very end or a little bit earlier.

Finally, when it comes to Eren’s future development, I currently see two possibilities.

a) Either we are given more information through Historia and his POV and this new information can modify the reading of Eren’s actions up until now.

b) He will grow and develop because of the actions of the other characters exactly like them will grow because of his current ones.

As you can see these are two pretty generic previsions and they could become true through any number of ways. We could also have a combination of them and of course new elements could come into play and make the situation even more complex to the point that the current conflict may evolve more and change.

That said, it is impossible to say as for now and this is why I prefer to simply comment and analyze each new chapter as it comes. Of course many things are gonna be proven wrong because it is obvious that the analyses of a story are gonna be more accurate once that story is over. Still, analyzing each new chapter has its merits and more importantly it is fun for me.
