cute annabelle things from this ep:

- saying that not answering questions directly was an attempt to make things “feel familiar” for martin like what a fun jon roast

- the dramatic way she says “step into my parlor” like she knows she’s playing a role and she’s having fun with it! and the fact that it was a direct response to martin saying he wanted things to be “more dramatic” like. miss cane you would have so much fun sitting at the theater kid lunch table with jon and tim i just know it

- the way her statement is written! especially the beginning, with the short paragraphs and the “stop, no”s; the fairytale vibes are excellent. we know annabelle likes to read, and i’m glad she got to stretch her creative writing muscles with this one

- you cannot tell me she didn’t know what she was doing with “aching hole.” comedic genius. martin can’t appreciate it because he’s in danger but i can!

- WHEN SHE SAID SHE’S NOT USED TO EXPLAINING THINGS BUT SHE’S TRYING TO PRACTICE. we love to see character development and avatars fighting against their ““nature””!

i think the childhood mythology of “it’s okay to share food when you’re family because you all have the same spit” is so beautiful actually like love is about eating each other’s leftovers it is about my parents eating the heads off the shrimp in my plate because they know i don’t like the idea of eating eyes and it’s about asking your friends to “waterfall” you when you’re running the mile at P.E. but if they like you enough they won’t yell ew if your mouth touches the bottle and it’s about my sister taking a bite of a cookie, making a face, and handing it to me
