7, 11, 12, and 14 for the ask game?
7. Favorite G3 parent(s)?
Apollo is definitely up there! Best dad award goes to...
But also, Dracula is great too! I love how much character development he's received this season. Starting from being super stubborn and non-approachable about witchcraft to being like "I'll try to bend the rules and make witchcraft acceptable" and "here, daughter of mine, let me help you with your witch studies!" Like, what a great dad T-T also, his egotistical moments can be really funny! That whole interaction he had with Apollo about his "really handsome friend" was hilarious. Other parents are wonderful too, we just don't get to see them a ton. Lyra and Medusa are adorable, and the way Medusa described how she fell for Lyra was so sweet 🥺
11. Any G3 ships you'd like to see?
The only ship I'm a die hard fan of is clankie, and they're canon 💅 not to brag or anything SHHJSH /lh. So basically, more clankie!! I hope we get to see more of them being together in season 2. Maybe there will be a date episode...👀
But, I know it was stated in the MH bible that Clawdeen is a lesbian. Even if the bible isn't real, would love to potentially see her embark on a gay little storyline! But single icon Clawdeen is also wonderful!
12. Are there any canon relationships (platonic or otherwise) in G3 you enjoy or don't enjoy especially?
hehehe I wonder what ship I enjoy...
IT'S CLANKIE OF COURSE!! XD
They're just so adorable!! And queer love is so precious!
Platonic-wise, I love Deuce and Frankie's relationship. With Portrait of a Monster being my favorite episode, their friendship dynamic/interactions are so fun!
For ones I don't enjoy... there's none in particular I hate. I just feel like some are exceptionally rushed. Like Gil and Lagoona. They only had two episodes (one being Gil's introductory episode) before they ended up going to the Monster Ball together. If people ship them though, then that's totally chill and I respect you :) if you don't ship them, that's also totally chill, and I respect you too!
14. You have been given the chance to design the G3 version of one G1-introduced character. Who do you choose?
Ooo this one is tough. Probably Heath...💀 I've gotten used to his design, but at first, it was jarring for a lot of people to see HSJHJ (no offense, Heath). I like some of the changes they made. As weird as it sounds, I kinda like the bald-ness XD I feel like it makes sense that his hair is literally fire that can be put out at any time. Not sure how I feel about the blue in his design; blue and orange (which is a large part of his color scheme) are on opposite ends of the color wheel, so it sorta throws me off a little. I'd probably have a fun time integrating more red/orange/black colors into his outfits and design :)

Hopefully I don't sound like a killjoy, and if I do I apologize- in my opinion, I don't think Celeste would love Gonta romantically? If only because she's picky with the men she likes I feel...
That said, I could maybe see it platonically! She'd definitely use him as a bodyguard for sure.. Again, sorry if I put a damper!! I don't mean to diss you or anything!
Otherwise I agree about Nagito needing to see the ultimates as people and that I too don't jive with Kokichi.
[From this ask] I want to preface this by saying please don't ever worry about dissing me or upsetting me if our interpretations are diametrically opposed! I am not precious about pairings or headcanons or the like in the least, super chill 👍 I'm always down for hearing other's interpretations! Is it canon-compliant? Is it complete crack? Familial? Romantic? Platonic? Hell, you could walk into my home and state "Actually I think Taka and Mondo's relationship is doomed to end in misery" and I'd say "Ah! Do tell! how does that come about? but also how'd you find my address?"
If nothing else, platonically or romantically, Celeste and Gonta would have a really compelling dynamic to explore - the real noble raised as a complete unknown looking to rediscover his heritage, and the fake noble clinging to her dream of ascending to aristocracy, juicy!
Tumblr media
Kokichi is a menace, and I'll have none of his fancy jiving footwork in this house.
Tumblr media
@ididnahthither Personally no. However! I've seen some nice variations of Kirumi, Mukuro and Sakura with Taka, I think matching the girls' sensible and dedicated natures with his own - and a lot of pairings with Celeste! Often with Celeste initially pursuing Taka based on how he fits into her desired aesthetic, feelings developing later, and I'll admit- they do have the spooky goth couple look down. I think the one that surprised me with how well it could work was Leon with Taka. Leon's volatility being shown as more performative, and in fact he uses his social fluency to hide his nervous need to be liked - it creates a compelling dynamic with Taka who cannot read a room to save his life, and wears his heart on his sleeve.
Tumblr media
That is actually kind of adorable
Given Leon's over the top, dramatic personae - calling Makoto, as someone who totally understands him, his 'soulmate' fits well into his all or nothing style. No half measures with Leon Kuwata.
He kind of reminds me a lot of Klavier Gavin from Ace Attorney, although not a suave - they're both very outwardly loud and flashy; both drawn to the spectacle of being a rockstar, but are internally much softer and in need of reassurance from those around them than you might have thought.
Tumblr media
(Thanks so much!! :D)
fem!mondo and fem!taka are a blast to mess around with!
It'd be really interesting to see how someone goes about developing their relationship as women- A huge part of how Mondo presents and interacts with others is how he's tied his identity as a man to his reputation; his strength and pride as the leader of the Diamonds, and this is what has boiled over into his toxic masculinity. Approaching Mondo's crises and dated view of gender expectation from the lens of Mondo as feminine rather than masculine would be fascinating
Tumblr media
@yaysof11037 [the pride comic!] In my main non-despair au I've got Mondo in my head as Bisexual, although takes his sweet time recognising his attraction to men as more than just 'admiration'. The pride comic however doesn't take place in that au, so although at first I was gonna have him with the Bi flag, I thought it might be more in line with the spirit of the comic if I left it open; so people could imagine what flag they wanted instead :) (lol I did actually mention it in the tags, but it's easily overlooked XD)
Tumblr media
In my mind, I tend to see Takemichi as having a platonic found family style relationship with the Oowadas, basically like their 3rd unofficial brother- Mondo still being the youngest, but Takemichi as a sort of moderating, long suffering, middle sibling. I've mentioned in [here] (in the asks after the readmore) that I don't have anyone specific that I pair Daiya with. In my little non-despair au, he's somewhat of a permanent bachelor, and has only really had casual relationships previously.
I'll admit that Daiya and Michi isn't one I've seen before! Takemichi does have the briefest hint that he might not be traditionally heterosexual, so him nursing a crush on Daiya wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility. However, perhaps it's because we're introduced to Daiya through the lens of his little brother Mondo, I have to say that personally I can only really see Daiya as a sort of pseudo brother figure to the members of his gang.
Daiyakure is a pretty popular pairing, and it was a bit of a surprise to me when I first saw it! And whilst it's true they never meet in the games, I think people like to explore the sort of loose and wild dynamic they could have, and since there isn't an established interaction people can go crazy with it!
BIG OLD DISCLAIMER
UNFORTUNATELY BECAUSE TUMBLR IS A FANTASTIC WEBSITE WHICH IS VERY MUCH DESERVING OF A PAID SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE; *looks straight into the camera like the office* I'VE MANAGED TO DISAPPEAR SOME ASKS, WHILST I HAD THE ANSWERS FOR 'EM HERE IN MY DRAFTS FORGIVE ME IF IT WAS YOUR ASK WHILST I TRY TO WORK OUT WHAT THE HELL THE QUESTIONS WERE
I definitely remember something about being surprised that said I wasn't too into romance in [this ask] (which I also linked above ^) I think the rest was about being jazzed for Hina/Taka interactions, perhaps from the [pride] comic?
"I'm not romantic" *continually posts romance*
yeah, that's very fair XD I was thinking in the grand scheme of all the shows I like, and found that there are very few canonical romantic pairings that I'm invested in, and the number of headcanon ones I have, I could count on one hand.
It's worth mentioning here that the only pairing I really personally ship in Dangan is Taka with Mondo. However! I'm happy to talk about any pairings as well as ones where Taka and Mondo aren't together, zero issue there! My brain just doesn't really connect the dots of any others without prompting. My internal relationship needle mostly points to platonic like a true North, unless I see something that catches my eye and it knocks it off course XD
Taka and Hina share so much boundless passionate energy, and a certain naivete - I love to see them form a close alliance!
This ask was asking since I drew Kaito and Maki as adopted siblings in the previously linked ask dump ^ and [this one], the query was something like 'Since you drew them as siblings I assume you don't ship Kaito and Maki?'
In the original ask someone said that they saw Kaito as Mondo and Taka's kid- but I thought out of the cast of V3 Maki was a better fit than Kaito, so for that one ask, I put them as adopted siblings! In my own opinion however, Kaito fits better as Hiro's son, and upon further reflection I think Maki suits Fuyuhiko and Pekoyama best! Which of course would definitely make them not siblings.
In terms of their actual dynamic in the game, Maki's slowly defrosting nature and subsequent unyielding loyalty toward Kaito seems to be implied to being equivalent to a blooming crush. Whereas Kaito's own notion of romance is more oblique. Is it requited? Unrequited? The game'll never tell! To my mind, I don't pair them romantically- rather I lean toward Maki perhaps having an initial unreturned crush on an oblivious Kaito, but what forms instead is a strong friendship.
This ask was something like 'what do you think of saimota?' I don't remember if there was anything more to it.
I can't quite get a bead on Shuichi as a character - he's mostly reactionary, with those around him being the instigating force on how he choses to act. He seems starved of friendship because of his quiet and nervous nature so a warm, energetic presence like Kaito or Kaede certainly has him come out of his shell (literally). Shuichi and Maki have some similar traits, as well as sharing their heroic adoration of Kaito. The game seems to point toward Maki's interest as romantic so it wouldn't be disingenuous to suggest that Shuichi's might be too.
(next set of asks [about Takaaki mostly]) (previous set of asks [about Daiya’s accident])

Hi, Ary, very inactive ex-mutual(i think???) here. Good to see you thriving! ♥ It's been a while since I've dipped my head into cockles stuff. Could I perchance maybe ask uuuuum tf is going on??? lol I see Mish apparently confirmed he used to stay over at Jensen's in Van, and heard newbs were apparently freaking out about it and getting a bit messy, which I get that, business as usual. But I'm also seeing shit about spin-offs? And Jared getting in a twitter fight with Jensen, causing/resulting in stans to going feral and sending hate?? I know you're not as big a fan of Jar, but that's part of why I figured I'd ask you, you usually have a really level head about this kinda stuff. If you don't wanna answer publically, or at all, that's totally chill!
Hey, Rhi! We're still mutuals! Of course we're still mutuals! When I saw the notification of your ask, I was like "Hey! I haven't seen you in a while!" and my husband was like "???" and I said "Tumblr" and he said "Oh."
It was a wild time haha.
In any case, welcome back to the dumpster fire! We are obviously still a mess. So to catch you up, I guess I will start by summarizing both before and after the finale (not sure where you left off so this might be redundant for you) ... basically, it became obvious as the end of the show neared that Jensen was not on board with the plan for the finale; although Jared never stopped singing its praises.
We got confirmation of this during a zoom interview where Jensen said that he actually went into the writers room as well as called Kripke to basically voice how he didn't agree with the direction the final season was going, but he was shot down on all fronts. In another interview, he was asked "What would you tell your younger self going into this career?" And Jensen responded with: "I would tell myself to just keep your head down and do the work" meaning, "Don't try to change things because you can't." I also think that this whole situation is what he wrote "Let Me Be" about for his first Radio Company album, but that is just my own speculation. All of his reluctance, even though he always followed it up with "But I eventually saw the value in the script" or "I came around in the end" (which never sounded sincere, and I don't think he was really trying to sound sincere) made us all very nervous about what was to come for 15x20; and of course, when the last two episodes aired, we saw just how badly they fucked it up.
After the awful finale, the entire fandom became aware of the CW's heavy handed role in the thing, basically squeezing all the life out of SPN to shape it into a ramp from which Walker could launch itself. They not only erased all the love and joy and representation that Cas's love confession gave us, they also tore apart the things that made sense about the bond between Sam and Dean, making it really just about Sam-- and therefore Jared, which of course, Jared seemed to be fine with ... even though no one else was. Misha barely said anything during the finale, and a few of the other actors talked about the show ending in various posts, but Jared tweeted up a storm ... and Jensen? Jensen just sat in sexy-silent resentment of the whole thing. He didn't tweet, he didn't post, he didn't say a word once he no longer had to, and I think that's because he was already going full-steam-ahead on his plans for redemption.
Which brings us to Chaos Machine-- Jensen and Danneel's new production company that is being run by a queer creative director and has a mantra of inclusivity and representation woven throughout it's fabric; and apparently, the first story that Jensen wanted to tell through this new platform is the origin story of Sam and Dean's parents; so last week (?) he announced the upcoming production of "The Winchesters" -- the untold love story of John and Mary. Obviously, John is not the most likable character from the show, so the idea was met with a lot of resentment when it was first announced, but Jensen has gone on to say that he is excited to take on the task of telling the "true" story behind these characters-- the one that makes sense with the pre-established canon and doesn't reject it. So, given that, the idea is being mulled over with a bit more optimism from the fandom.
Who isn't being optimistic though?
Jared Padalecki.
When Jensen made this announcement on Twitter, many of his friends and coworkers congratulated him, but not Jared. Jared responded with a passive aggressive: "I'm happy for you, man, but I wish I didn't hear about it through Twitter." This of course, sent all the die-hard Jared fans into a tizzy and they immediately began asking him if he was serious (hoping it was just a joke-- we all hoped it was because there would be fallout no matter what one's opinion on Jared is). Instead of leaving it there though or just deleting that tweet, Jared went on to tweet some more, saying that he was being serious that he didn't know about the plans for the prequel, and that he was "gutted" that Sam apparenlty wouldn't be included (mind you, this a prequel to SPN... meaning BEFORE Sam and Dean were even born, so how could Sam be included? But Dean is apparently narrating this story so maybe Jared thought Sam should be helping to narrate it? I don't know). But Jared being Jared couldn't just leave that there, he then went on to tweet at Robbie Thompson who was announced as a writer for "The Winchesters" so then Jared went off on him too, calling him "Brutus" and a "coward" acting like Robbie betrayed him (speculation is-- Robbie refused to write for Walker, so Jared is pissed that he essentially chose Jensen over him). He did fairly quickly, remove that tweet attacking Robbie, but of course the damage was done at that point. And it truly only took his first tweet calling out Jensen for some people to be like "Jared-- that sucks if you didn't know but why are you saying any of this publicly?"
As you might know, Jared has had issues in the past with posting hurtful things on social media, and has even used it as a tool for attack before-- calling out customer service agents and public workers that he felt have wronged him, which is bad enough ... but for him to then do the same thing to his best friend of well over a decade? Many people who had once liked him or at least gave him the benefit of the doubt (I used to ...) stopped after this latest twitter tantrum.
However, some people have suspected for some time that J2 had a falling out either shortly before the finale or just after. Their public/social media interactions have seemed awkward, stilted or even non-existent in moments that they normally wouldn't be. In the past year, when Walker premiered, Jensen didn't say much about his friend's new venture other than a "Congrats. buddy" here and there. Later, we learned that Jensen refused to work on the show ... Jared said he make him do it, drag Jensen to the set "kicking and screaming" which made many fans quirk up an eyebrow because, why would Jensen put up a fight unless the two weren't as close as they used to be? And then Jensen moved his family to Colorado (either permanently or for an extended period at least) which is notable considering how he moved to Texas seemingly to be closer to Jared, even buying a house that was near his. All this was just speculation though; but it wasn't until Jared's tweet complaining about not knowing about the prequel that the theories behind them falling out, became less theory and more fact.
The day after his twitter tantrum, Jared tweeted again-- not retracting his statements or apologizing, but instead saying that he and Jensen "talked" and were "all good". Jensen then tweeted too, parroting this statement to some degree, which only made the whole thing even more sour in the mouths of the fans. The fact that Jared didn't apologize for his outburst and throwing his friend under the bus, and also the fact that Jensen-- Mr. Sexy Silence, Mr. Never Tweets, Mr. Tech-Ignorant-and-Proud, actually had to POST SOMETHING saying that he and Jared made up, it just screamed OPTICS. It was obviously the work of agents and PR firms and lots of people going "Look, if you two keep beefing, that will mean the death of both of your projects. Even more people will stop watching Walker, and this SPN prequel will never get picked up due to the scandal." So, the two "made nice" publicly to quell the chaos, but in my opinion, it's all too little too late. Jared started a storm that he can't contain now with a little tweet, and it seems like he knows that too because before he talked about him and Jensen making up, he asked that people "not send threats". He could have just as easily said that he shouldn't have made this a public issue and that he's sorry, but instead, he continued to play the victim and stoke the flames by alerting us all to the damage he's done.
Now, like I said before-- I used to give him the benefit of the doubt. I don't think he's an awful human or that he deserves to be attacked or anything, but he is an adult man with very poor judgment and an obvious selfish-streak a mile wide. He should know better, and he should have more respect for his so-called "friends" and "brothers" than to make them targets to public ridicule. I have a hard time believing that Jensen still sees Jared the way he used to, and I wouldn't blame him a bit for wanting to pull away-- especially when he's moving on to so many new and exciting things. Jared certainly deserves happiness just as much as anyone else, but he went on twitter and basically asked for a scandal, and he got one.
The question is now-- was there a motive behind it? Was just looking for a reason to bring his and Jensen's falling out to light-- while making himself looking like the victim in the process? Or did he genuinely not know about the prequel and just decided to go about "not knowing" in the most toxic and hurtful way he could manage?
In any case, that is the drama ... that is the J2 insanity in a rather lengthy nutshell ... that is the tea ... and I hope it all makes sense.
But the good news out of all of this is, Cockles is thriving-- they are happy and in love and Jensen calls Misha "Babe" and Misha misses waking up to see Jensen in the morning, and they are just as cute and wonderful as can be.
So, I will end that there. I am so glad to see you back, and I hope I answered all your questions in a way that made sense ... I tried anyway!

This ask is critical of the Sansa fandom so it's going under the cut.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(in reference to this post--I think)
No problem. I am very slow in answering asks, so I certainly don't mind hearing about old posts as I'm always behind myself. :)
So, I don't really like answering asks like this because I feel like I'm being roped into vague blogging even though I have no idea who my anons are talking about. And then the ask begins a guessing game of who offended who and how, and when will the public shaming be, and then a week goes by and somehow I've amassed two dozen cow bells in preparation, and then I remember too late to save myself that we're all just randos on the internet, so ultimately, none of this matters. ☹️ <--a good thing to remember, fam! which has its own chilling effect on fandom. But, I do want to see the fandom thrive, and if something is going on that prevents people from engaging, I care about that. The thought that there are a lot of fans who are too frightened to put their opinions out there is upsetting because that's been the history of Sansa fans in the fandom. And the people who did risk it, who did stick their necks out years ago, who spoke up in defense of Sansa, saying she was an important character and that she wasn't going to be punished by the narrative, experienced vile abuse for years. So, just as I said in my previous ask about the Jonsa fandom, there's a context for our anger towards the rest of the fandom that colors everything. Of course, that makes it all the more distressing to know we somehow turned around and have recreated that within our own small corner.
I’m going to own up to having done some of this stuff myself. I do think people who want Sansa to end up with someone who sexually assaulted her aren’t thinking about what would be good/healthy/happy for Sansa. I don’t remember if I said, “they don’t love Sansa,” but I definitely could have. I don’t interact with that side of the fandom other than when I answered one ask from someone who ships it (link) because I don’t like it. They have every right to ship what they want, but when I get an ask about a scene in the books/my interpretation of that dynamic, I will answer with my opinion, and my opinion about it is: gross. I don’t regret anything I’ve said about the abusive dynamics in ASOIAF and/or GoT, whether it was Sans@n, Jxnerys, Jxngritte, etc. I know some people ship/engage in fandom in a strictly non canon/fanon way, and if that's the case, I understand why arguing over an interpretation of a character might seem silly, why being bothered by the dynamics of a ship seems dumb, but for some of us, we care about canon first/foremost, that's the reason we're here. I don’t want to contribute to a toxic fandom or make people feel like they can’t engage, but to me, no one’s ASOIAF takes are good enough for me to ignore how they view Sansa, how they consider a molester getting his prey a good ending for the victim etc. So, yes, there are takes that I am totally intolerant of. I do not engage with those bloggers at all. To you, that may make me part of the problem, but as long as I never bother those shippers and appropriately tag my stuff, I have the right to say what I think. I don’t know if this is the kind of thing you’re criticizing, but Sansa fans don’t owe it to the rest of the fandom to check our thoughts about abuse at the door. What I have tried to do, and will remind myself to do more consistently, is focus on the text/the fictional characters and not talk about the shippers.
You mention that some bloggers respond to innocuous asks with a certain tone. This is an accusation I've seen lobbed at fic writers too, and obviously, I don't know the exact scenario you’re talking about, but sometimes, we are engaging with the same people routinely, and you may not be aware of all of our interaction, and you may not know that the last time that person commented/sent an ask, they were rude/insulting. So, to you, you might think a blogger isn't being nice, but you don't know what preceded it. I mean, maybe the blogger was having a bad day and overreacted, but sometimes, there's a history between the fans that you don't know. When you read/write enough, you can recognize how someone writes, so even if it's just any old anon to you, to the blogger, it may be that anon. I have even received anons or seen them on other people’s blogs for which I know the identity of the sender because it’s essentially a copy/paste of what they post on their own blog. You don't actually know what the blogger is responding to because there is a lot of context they have that may not be immediately apparent to you. So there I would say, reserve judgment.
As far as being afraid to speak up/offer your opinions, as long as you aren't harassing a blogger by arguing with everything they say, as long as your posts aren't all reactionary or vague blogs, I don't think you should hesitate to post. Maybe you won't get much traction, but we all had to start somewhere. I’ve been told my thoughts are stupid, gotten vague blogged about, lost followers, and I’m still posting because I think it’s fun. We can’t control how other people operate, or whether or not they’ll value our contributions, but sitting there resenting the fact that we aren't posting isn’t sparing ourselves. We’re still upset. Actually, we’re preemptively upset when we haven’t even taken the chance of being pleasantly surprised by the response. If you have friends you talk about this stuff with, you have more support than most of us had when we started sharing our thoughts, and with so few people offering up their ideas rn, it’s hard to distinguish between what’s truly popular or what’s simply available in our fandom. I like/reblog as a sign of support, not necessarily endorsement. If other people are doing what I do, you can’t necessarily know what everyone else thinks. We’re just being supportive. So, if you put new ideas/different takes out there, even if it isn’t (what seems to be) the prevailing opinion, people may be thrilled to find an angle they hadn’t previously been exposed to. You might be surprised (in a good way) at the reaction to your opinion.
I don’t mean that to be dismissive of your feelings regarding fandom engagement. I understand the anxiety of, "I'll lose followers for this one," or "I am 100% getting an angry anon if I don’t delete that line,” but if not posting your opinion is making you feel bad about your fandom experience, you aren’t preserving your feelings by keeping silent. As long as you abide by tumblr etiquette (keep it on your blog or put the proper anti tags on it), no one has any business harassing you. I'm not sure who you think is "treated like gospel," but I assure you, there isn't a Sansa fan I agree with entirely, no one agrees with me all the time, and yet we are all peacefully coexisting. I disagree with other Sansa fans/Jonsas, they know it, and we’re still mutuals/like/reblog each other’s stuff. So, in my experience, there’s room for different viewpoints. And, since this is lit, multiple interpretations aren’t a threat to each other, can be enjoyable even if it isn’t what the author intended or what I personally decide is the “right” one. We bring our own personal history/interests to this stuff, and therefore, each of us has a different experience reading it. That’s worth sharing. Your opinions/interpretations are just as valid as mine, and there’s no reason why you shouldn't be throwing out your ideas when I am hear unloading my shitty takes. Come and pollute the fandom with me! 😈
And lastly, even though we’re in the same fandom, depending on who you follow/interact with, your impression of it may be totally different from mine. Maybe you’re following a specific user who is unflexible/insulting to anyone who doesn’t agree with them. That can make you feel a certain way about our fandom even if that behavior isn’t a widespread phenomenon. To me, there isn’t a hierarchy in the fandom if you don’t convince yourself some people’s approval matters more than others, so I actively fight against doing that. And I’ll suggest that if you are truly too nervous to post for fear of a bad response, it might be because of the people who fill your feed. So, you may need to filter certain tags, unfollow/block certain users until you feel safe in our corner of the fandom. You can always undo (unfilter, refollow, unblock) later, once you feel more comfortable. Tumblr has tools to help you curate your experience—utilize them!
If I’m not grasping the issue/you want to talk about this more thoroughly, feel free to DM me.

A little Side Secret
TW: Deceit (but he's nice y'all. He's just a sweet and sour misunderstood danger noodle... Oh, and speaking of danger noodle there's a pic of one in this so please, if you don't like snakes, continue with caution)
Pairs: Prinxiety and Logicality
//
"why don't you make our relationships canon, Thomas? We would love to play our own selves in the Sanders Sides videos! I'm sure the Fanders will love seeing their ships sailing!" Roman suggests joyously, a cuddly little Emo Nightmare between his arms.
"that would make a lot of people happy, Princey, but we have to consider that not all Fanders ship Prinxiety and Logicality. I wouldn't want them to be disappointed." Thomas explains lightly.
Logan nods in agreement, "Thomas is right", adding in, "We must take each and every one of our viewers' preferences into account. Not to mention, there are a few people who find it weird having Thomas ship himself with, well, himself. Although we are more than just parts of Thomas, we are still him."
"Plus, outing our existence to the world would cause a massive outbreak in the media. How would Thomas explain how we came to be when he himself has no idea?" Virgil sends a pointed look to Thomas.
Patton rests his head on his logical boyfriend's shoulder, humming contently when he feels Logan wrap an arm around his waist, "our very purpose is to help Thomas in all the ways we can. Maybe we came to exist so as to serve as our dear Thomathy's guardians?" the moral Side shares his thought to the group.
Logan hums, taking his lover's words into recognition, "if that is the case, it still wouldn't explain how we all manifested into the real world as real life individuals. We are able to "sink down" into Thomas' mind as portrayed in the series, us being "imaginary" and all, yet we are also able to interact with him as though we, too are living human beings. It frankly does not make any sense."
"maybe it doesn't have to make sense." Patton shrugs cutely.
"I agree with Padre." the fanciful Side smiles at the fatherly figure, "what matters now is that no one finds out about our existence-"
"uh.. Thomas?"
Everyone in the room freezes except the person standing near Thomas' kitchen, holding what looked to be a snake-
"Joan!/Dee!" Thomas and his Sides shout in unison.
"uh... I can explain?" Thomas lets out a nervous laugh, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly as his Sides try to hide behind him but are failing miserably. He totally forgot Joan was coming over and didn't even hear the door open and shut closed.
"explain what? The fact that my theory of your Sides being real was right, or the fact that you have a pet ball python and never told me?"
(this is what Deceit looks like
Tumblr media
He's like, 3 feet haha)
"er.. Both-? Wait, you had a theory about my Sides being real?!" Thomas exclaims, appalled by what he just heard from his best friend.
"I may or may not have overheard you talking to them in several occasions where I helped you make the Sanders Sides videos. But it's chill, at least now I know you're not going crazy." Joan laughs and holds out the snake in their hands, "I'm assuming this is Deceit?"
In a blink of an eye, the snake shapeshifts into said Side, a small blush coating his cheeks, "you are definitely incorrect."
Logan places a reassuring hand on Deceit's shoulder when he shuffles to join the group behind their host, letting the lying trait know that everything's fine.
"you're not like, gonna flip out? Nothing?" Thomas asks skeptically.
"Thomas, buddy, c'mon. I've always known there was something special about you. Sure, you may look like a normal homosexual adult, but sometimes you can be a bit...-"
"wild?"
"extra?"
"weird?"
"spicy!"
Roman, Logan, Virgil and Patton pipe up at the same time, making Joan chuckle and nod at all their descriptions of their host, "knowing about your Sides won't change my mind or the way I see you. Having real life versions of yourself exist may be beyond the ordinary, but hey! You're Thomas Sanders! The story time guy! That YouTuber who has one of the best fandoms! But most importantly, you're Thomas Sanders, my dearest gay best friend, and I wouldn't have you any other way no matter what."
By then, Thomas was silently crying tears of joy from Joan's sweet and touching speech, immediately pulling them in for a hug.
"you're the best, Joan."
"yeah yeah, I know." the non-binary fella pats their friend's back comfortingly, "now that I know though, I'm not allowed to tell anyone else, correct?"
"it would be for the best, yes. " Logan nods, shooting Joan a thankful smile.
"it can be our little secret!" Patton declares, giggling when Roman gestures to Deceit, earning a hiss from the slightly shorter trait.
"our Little Side Secret." Virgil confirms, smiling at his famILY.

How was that?
I love writing these 😆 dunno if I'm writing the Sides correctly tho. Especially Logan haha but oh well.
Feedback pls?😊❤

Big ass homestuck rant
Oof I'm gonna get some thoughts about homestuck and the epilogue out. At this point, homestuck is no longer something with a heart and soul, and no longer has writers and artists that actually care about it. All it is now is a political statement at best, and a cashcow at worst. Hussie(if he's still even involved) and his team of 'writers' are just beating a dead fucking horse (get it? Horse?). The fandom is basically non existent so I don't really know who they're writing for? But at some point in the main comic hussie started to pander and appeal to the Tumblr crowd rather than writing what he wanted to write. And that's still happening. The problem with that being that Tumblr sucks, no one is ever satisfied and you get called out for small mistakes. It's okay to write problematic things! It's okay to write what you want, especially if it progresses a story! I'm not personally a fan of shock value stuff, I like wholesome things, but it's so easy to avoid media. You don't need to harass the writers into writing the story YOU want. We've seen this with Steven universe and I guess y'all don't learn? Anyway back to the point. Hussie doesn't care anymore, its obvious. And that's totally okay! People are allowed to fall out of love with their work and its okay. But like, I think he's a bit susceptible to pressure and he feels like he needs to pass homestuck on to other people to keep it alive, but all that is happening is killing and ruining it. You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain, ya know? Like, homestuck was an amazing and progressive piece of art in the time that it was written, but the world has moved on. Homestuck could have absolutely been part of the zeitgheist and could have been a pretty memorable thing but people just keep adding on to it and calling it canon? And even adding to it only to call it non canon? Like, people need to leave homestuck alone, it deserves a heroic death.
Okay now I'm gonna say some personal stuff. I stopped caring about hs when sollux left. I know ur like "why, he's just a character? He's not even important?" And like, he was tho? Like yes, I'm biased because he's my fav but also he was so important? He was the one who coded the trolls session, he died a bunch of times to progress said session, he pushed the meteor so that the game could be completed, he had excellent dialogue with the other characters and amazing chemistry with aradia and karkat and I feel all of that was thrown away. So much could have been done with him(and aradia, I'm still salty that she got the short end of the stick?). Could you imagine the kind of interactions he could have had on the meteor with the meteor crew? Also I'm never going to get over the fact that solkat isn't canon. Half of that being that I like the ship and half for actual good reasons. Let me elaborate. Sollux and karkat had the best chemistry, their dialogue was engaging and funny and it was very evident by their speech and actions that they care about eachother, not to mention their pitch-borderlining-on-red-borderlining-on-pale flirting. Plus with sollux's thing with duality and karkats general detachment from the quadrant system they could have worked so well for eachother but karkat never mentioned or thought about or even tried to message sollux ever? He cried over his dead body like twice and dragged him all over the meteor while he was unconscious because he didn't want gamzee to kill him? I could go on about the fandoms mistreatment of gam but I won't because it's been done to death and also this is about sollux right now. He's the only redeemable male character tbh, he just wanted to chill. Oof anyway, this post is long and I'm emotionally tired. If anyone reads this, I'm not mad. I'm not angry, or petty, or salty. I'm just sad, disheartened, and disappointed. Hs was such a huge part of my life, and was a massive influence on my development as a person, it shaped me as an artist, and it taught me how to write and develop a good and solid character. I'm so sad to see it in this state; a mere shadow of its former glory.
