Either way, I'll let you in on a little secret: making comparisons between Patrick Bateman and Yoshitaka Mine shouldn't be about making either of them out to be Cool or Scary or Intriguing. It should be about the bit.

like the worldbuilding and the character dynamics are so FUN but it means i have to explain the first volume has the ecchi shonen jump bullshit, and quickly assure the person that it dies down REAL FAST after the first volume

I get the impression that money was a bit tight on clouds on the horizon in general, what with the uneven time put into the lumity kiss vs the hexsquads fight outside blight manner w/ the infamous cha cha slide, plus background details going wonky (like baloony hunter), but my favourite semi-wonky frames are the closeups on Hunters face when he's talking with Luz about him being a grimwalker.

bc the proportions are just. So funny to me. Why is his nose so long. Why are his eyes in the middle of his face. When did his forehead get so big. What's happening. Did I die. Is this purgatory. I unironically love this bc it reminds me that this show was made by people who were trying their best. And sometimes their best looks the Bunter Vs hexsquad fight in thanks to them and other times it looks like this

(although in searching for this image I was informed that a different studio than normal animated clouds on the horizon. Which is probably at least part of the reason why there's so many bungled frames. Also probably why the cha cha slide got animated the way it did. God I love animation)

when you mentioned that talon takes up sex in the comic w/o elaborating much i immediately understood it was an instant gratification/desire for a quick touch without getting involved in the "mess" of love bc i did a similar thing with my oc and its genuinely SO cool to see someone else do it and mention specifically because its out of a deep seeded fear of getting too attached but still wanting some sort of touch bc they literally like. cant live without it for too long. i love it im chewing on talon

YEAS....im considering rewriting/reuploading that whole panel because in my need to not be a weirdo and unnecessarily go into depth on a characters abuse, i ended up being rly vague in the parts where I couldve explained more, but Im glad someone understood even before my clarification ^_^

(harder with talon as no matter how much he tells himself he'll never risk losing anybody again, he's very quick to get attached. Desperate for a home, a family, to curl up around something warm and kind)

got both ends of the tanking spectrum today!

earlier I was doing rouls and I got a sprout tank who was obviously rough around the edges and not familiar with the low level dungeon we were running but was still oozing with talent and was super polite to boot.

then just now I got a tank who was pulling far too much for my skill level then chose to insult me when we wiped. I was not in the mood to deal with their shit so I told them I'm not doing this, if you're gonna talk to me like this then I'm leaving (as my mental state is. not great tonight!) and they threatened to report me for abuse! in the end I apologized to the rest of the party for leaving and as I was clicking the "leave duty button" everyone was calling the tank toxic as hell which was nice. cathartic even
