I'm very much aware that I didn't post anything for Pirate Day this year. I haven't even logged into the other account for a week or two. It just really didn't feel like something to celebrate this year. Honestly, it's felt less and less important for the last couple of years. It used to be a very active community and we could really have fun with it, but it's dwindled to like 3 accounts just shouting into the void.

I do miss a lot of the old crew mates. Here and IRL. Kinda feels like I need Parting Glass playing in the background while typing this out.

International Talk Like a Pirate Day Challenge!

I’ve messaged the usual suspects on FFN but I thought I’d offer the challenge here as well, in case some of you who no longer utilize FFN also wish to take part.

It's September again and we all know what that means: International Talk Like a Pirate Day is coming up on the 19th! We as a fandom haven't really had a true challenge in a while, and what with the show ending I'm afraid of our little fandom's embers dying out. So! In order to provide some sustenance to our fandom I'm issuing our challenge this year but I'm doing it a little differently, since I don't remember the rules we used before. XD Pirata Codex: It has to be a minimum of 1k, but no max. Write as much as you like. Must prominently feature Sheldon and Penny, but does not have to be shippy if you want a wider audience. Since we're starting a bit late, we'll extend the deadline to the end of September (but if you still don't get it done before then, post it whenever! No pressure!) Only dead men tell no tales, so look lively and remember to have fun!
