IAN SWEET is ‘Smoking Again’ and falling into a pit of romantic despair… 

On the punchy, sometimes ghostly track, the singer is a complete mess as she pines away for a toxic lover, trapped in a vicious cycle of self-sabotage (‘Haven’t slept/Started smoking again/And I’m tryin to grow my hair out/But I keep cuttin’ my bangs/Every time you say my name’). 

Declaring the track to be ‘pretty dramatic,’ Jillian Medford says about ‘Smoking Again’ (via Stereogum): 

‘I often put myself in situations that I know won’t be beneficial to me, just to get a rise out of myself. Almost like setting up obstacles just to see if I could overcome them.’
