I’ve never seen a Catholic or any other Christian church in the Philippines with these buttresses. This church was established in 1686 and completed in 1710.
Just trying to recall some things today. Fragments of good and bad memories. I could no longer remember how exactly everything went; the conversations I had with people; whether I ended up having good times with said people or bad ones. But for some reason, there's fondness whenever I try to remember them.
We met Kap Glenda on the way to Vigan. We exchanged a few words, she offered a discount to Paoay Sand Dunes but she never asked what our names were or where we're from.
On our second day in Laoag, we toured Pagudpod with our kind-looking driver. I greeted him good morning but he did not respond. I introduced us but he pretended not to notice. I even thanked him for accomodating us on such short notice but he did not let me finish.
I don't think Ilocanos are arrogant or unkind. But why are they not conversant? To Anne, it was a good thing. But this was my first trip without knowing the name of the driver. Nevertheless, I hope Aklanons could be like them, too.
Bangui Windmill is not only a source of clean and green energy, but also a tourist attraction and a symbol of pride and progress for the people of Ilocos Norte. The wind farm generates about 40% of the electricity needs of the province and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by about 56,000 tons per year.
A man-eating monster that dwells in the waters of parts of Luzon, it has a rather unique way of hunting its prey. I wouldn't recommend walking into dry lake beds to pick up the free fish.
The Bangui Wind Farm was recognized as the "first windfarm in Southeast Asia" back in 2005... I've been there twice. This photo was from the first time I was there in 2010.
