is not same yarn for what plan for sweater (not buy yet) or color scheme (decide on navy background/pink? figure bc pattern is reverse of this one where it look better if lighter color against dark background. even tho light blue/navy look so good)

I just discovered this pattern... and I need to make it.

It's an insane amount of intarsia. I hate knitting intarsia.

It's cotton. I do not enjoy knitting with cotton.

Cotton intarsia specifically is EXTRA CURSED. Wool? Fuzzy, stretchy, forgiving. Cotton? No fuzz, no stretch, NO FORGIVE.

I have a horrible track record when it comes to weaving in ends. Will procrastinate it for literal years. Authors note on the pattern:

The intarsia charts came from a kids jumper pattern dated 1990, which I've adapted into an adult sized cardigan.

TARDIS drink cosy! I knitted my Whovian brother a super cosy jumper for his travel mug. It ended up a bit tall for the mug, but fits his big bottle much better, so now it's keeping his drink insulated and making his workspace geeky too!

Knitted in merino superwash wool. I made the pattern up as I went, using Fair Isle and intarsia techniques (I actually had 6 balls of yarn on the go during the middle section, to do the intarsia!). Middle section knitted flat, ribbing in the round.

WIP Wednesday

I'm making yet another baby blanket for a nephew who is on the way!! I'm hoping to have this one done in time (not holding my breath on that)

It's on hold at the moment because I got lazy when introducing new yarn and it came back to haunt me. And then the cable broke. So we're waiting on a new cable in the mail, and some metal needles.
