#It just doesn't have same vibe as assassin's creed

I like all types of music, and I consider myself to have a good taste in music. So, I just had a idea for the themes for the Unperson characters:
U!Charlie: A theme that makes you think, "yep, he's the hero, he is the protagonist". The track has to be a reflection of U!Charlie: Apocalyptic Music (to represent the Hero Variant he is), with a subtle arrange of notes denoting sorrow/sadness, because, you know, he doesn't want to be there at all. Some notes can be missing, like his memories until he remembers them. The Showfall theme can be sprinkled about, signifing his conection to them. His leifmotif can be the tune that played when Slime Demon first appeared, to reflect his other roles, mixed with some arrange of notes that denote "hero/protagonist"
U!Sneeg: More Synth music, Post-Apocaliptic Machines Have Taked Over kind. The Showfall Theme would be more present, because he is an "NPC", so they have more influence over him.
U!Ranboo: Techno/Metal music, to denote their biomechanical limbs and their ruthlessness. The music would be more techno than metal when it begins, and in some points only a instrument would play to denote their stealthyness. When angry/hungry/hangry the music is full on metal with some techno touches. The same hero leifmotif that is in U!Charlie theme is in their track, but is this one is distorted, missing chunks. They were the Hero, yes, but not anymore. The Showfall theme is present, in equal ground of presence with Sneeg's theme.
U!Niki: Orquestra with coir with rock-metal/rock. When it first starts, only the violins and maybe a piano with the choir are heard, playing/singing a melancholic song. Little by little, the violins change their notes to that of rising tension. The good thing about violins is that their songs can be sad and also be terrifying. Then, suddenly, coir, piano and violins stop. The rock band starts playing alongside the metals of the orquestra, whilst the string instruments copy the tense drone that the violins were doing. The Showfall theme is more present in her track, even to a point were only the piano plays, orquestra and band going quiet so the piano can play the exact notes that the Showfall theme has, and it continues playing in the background even when orquestra and band continue playing.
Sorry to have written a one-shot length ask! I needed to put my thoughts in "paper". Have a nice one!
I'm a huge instrumental / video game music nerd myself, so I always love hearing people's analyses of leitmotifs and suggestions for types of music that fit a particular character's vibe! Here are some of the songs that I associate most with each of the characters (each of them can be found on the Unperson OST) The Devourer: "Stigmata" by grandson Ranboo: "Devourer" by Aidoneus Charlie: "Just a Game" by Birdy Sneeg: "Now - Connor" from Detroit: Become Human Hetch: "Your Death Will Be My Art" from The Evil Within 2 The Sightless Siren: "Medusa" from Assassin's Creed: Odyssey Niki: "Lung" by Vancouver Sleep Clinic Adam: "My Way" by Chase Holfelder ???: "Brutus" by The Buttress And of course the 'main theme' of the story as a whole is "Unperson" by Nothing But Thieves!

yeah no fr you get it. i notice so many little things that just feel weird when games try to be too realistic. like modern fallout games? you immediately notice when character's mouths or animations are wonky. tbh i play far too few super-realistic-games to really point out any ones i have flaws with but like!
final fantasy! 15 is pretty realistic but still keeps that anime vibe. prompto's hair is a little silly but hey, its ff! and it fits in the world and doesn't feel off. kh? entirely silly. even in kingdom hearts 3 where there's a lot more like "high-def" textures and stuff, all the characters are so silly and anime-esque that it still just works.
hell i sometimes think ts2 has more polish and personality than ts4, and that came out in approx 2004...
idk man i love my silly anime games and my clunky/chunky/low-poly graphics. realism is fun as are pretty graphics but man. i can look past shitty graphics if the story and characters are fun and i have a reason to care. but if the graphics are slowing my device down and i can barely play? that's just a pain.
on that note why are assassin's creed games so fucking big. i had to dl over 100gb for ac: valhalla awhile ago. is this even necessary anymore...? ngl i like ac4's graphics more than the more modern games sometimes...
sorry im a little passionate abt games. oopsies. ily corks
No, but exactly, that's why i brought up ff. It has a dash of realism to it, but the charas look so stylised in the anime way despite that, that flaws don't jump out as much as they do in the RE engine, to me. I very much remember wonky hair being a thing despite the fact that i played one (1) 3D final fantasy entry, and that was years ago, but it never struck me as odd, because... it was stylised, and it could get explained as part of the style. When you aim for photorealism, even the most minor flaw registers as - a flaw, cannot be explained by saying "it's stylised".
And, yeah, real. I can't tell you for Valhalla or Odyssey - I don't own them and don't really have an urge to get them either (not in an elitist "it's not a proper ac game", but just a bit of a side-eyeing "i play ac for certain reasons, and odyssey and valhalla took a path that removed those reasons"), but from what I hear they have a fuckton of content. I think Origins also took so much to download, it was ridiculous.
(And same tho. I made tumblr bc i wanted to be insane ab elder scrolls somewhere, enstars just kinda took over. But i've always been a video game freak)

Quick Wrestle Kingdom 18 Thoughts
Spoilers for the PPV just in case
It was a good show, I know I haven't done many highlights as of recent but sometimes the mood doesn't hit, and it doesn't get many views.
The first half was quite meh, I don't like the Ranbo still it remains a 'look at all this talent we don't have anything for' rumble to me, last WK I had hoped Master Wato, SHO and YOH would break out but they have kinda regressed, same with Great O-Khan. Not a single women's match too, you had Mayu Iwatani in the building but you couldn't fit a match for her? TJP's rechristening as the Aswang was kinda cool, the mask is devious looking but not too high on the dog collar, match was fair enough. Tana beating ZSJ felt like the wrong call though, the moment a wrestler comes into backstage power they should absolutely avoid putting a title on themselves it just sets a bad vibe, match ended very abruptly too, thought Tsuji should've gone over Uemera and Kiyomiya/Shota over House of Torture too. Ngl what are we doing with Kiyomiya? He looked like he was gonna get a big Okada feud but then got discarded at the G1, it feels like NJPW going 'we're very superior to NOAH' with his booking, Shota had a cool motorcycle entrance but he is another who could use a push.
Tama vs Shingo was a great match though, really threw out all the old Bullet Club finishers to put Shingo down, great final third. Glad that Hikuleo and ELP got the tag belts too, Bishamon do feel like the tag equivalent of ol' reliable. Speaking of ol' reliables, Hiromu on another Junior Heavyweight title match, love both guys but Despy was the right man to go over, need fresher challengers.
Loved Mox donning some Red Hood gear, but then Ospreay went Assassin's Creed and Smackdown Six Rey Mysterio with his entrance. Finlay winning was rather obvious though, not only because he was the only non-AEW wrestler but the whole agreement to gang up on him was narratively designed try and to put him over. The match was quite good, infamous BC interference marred it a little but can't lie Coughlin sat in the broken table was amusing, and the title looks pretty, I'll miss the US/UK red strap but returning to some IC-esque roots isn't the worst thing. Nic Nemeth getting a little scrap with Finlay looks promising too.
Okada's coat was pretty awesome, good to see them do a match unmarred by injuries but of course Okada went over, I think the next Forbidden Door or Wrestledream could be the Rubber Match. Ironic that much like Revolution last year, Bryan embracing the YES! chants led to his downfall - I don't think that was accidental - but of course it was a really good match. And finally, I loved me some SANADA when he was his Cold Skull, but 'Regular Looking Guy' SANADA, that ain't it, that ain't the gimmick. It was high time he was felled and Naito is a fitting guy to do it. Match was still good, but EVIL challenging is the wrong guy though stop trying to make EVIL happen again.

total newbie to mass effect, where would you recommend I start? I think there are multiple games - is there one which is best to play or would you recommend all of them?
if it looks interesting to you, then i say go for it! its a fun series. The games are simply Mass Effect 1, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3 (I'll talk about ME:A at the end, its very different from the Mass Effect trilogy, which is what I've been posting about, and usually what people are talking about when they talk about mass effect).
my recommendation is to buy the legendary edition (all three games and all their dlc in one) and play through them from the start to get the full story, or do the same thing but start with mass effect 2 so you play just 2 & 3. if you have the legendary edition, you can also give the first game a try and jump ship after an hour or 10 if you aren't feeling it and give me2 a try instead.
you will be missing some context, but me2 does start with a graphic novel/comic that summarizes the events of mass effect 1, and of the games, me1 is the only "skippable" one. it also has a very different vibe - gameplay, story-wise, and just visually - from the other 2, so i don't think it's very indicative of the series. its from an era of gaming that is far from where we are now. each game in the trilogy is a little different, but me2 and me3 are way closer to each other than either of them are to me1.
me2's story is cool (super character-focused, mostly with new characters, so you're not missing much context for them), but my main criticism is that parts of it feel tedious and its combat leaves something to be desired. i think me3 is more well-rounded, but i really cant recommend, for both story and default world condition reasons, just playing me3 (for a little extra context, ive played through the entire witcher franchise and totally recommend ignoring the first 2 games and just playing witcher 3. game order/importance varies by series). i really like the story of me2, just to reiterate. idk, it's just juicy to me
i HIGHLY recommend the legendary edition regardless of what games you want to play, because it has the extra dlc content, is remastered, has bug fixes, and most importantly, all three games talk to each other easily for importing saves and custom shepard appearances between them, which is highly important in the franchise. if you havent played a bioware game before, your choices in mass effect 1 and 2 directly inform the world state (like which characters are even alive) in mass effect 2 & 3, and while you can import your saves from regular separate copies of 2 and 3, legendary edition builds all that in for you with a central launcher.
now in regards to the fourth mass effect game: Mass Effect: Andromeda is set in an entirely different galaxy than the original trilogy and came later. it has no reliance on the trilogy's story and is stand alone, though clearly intended to be the start of another series, even if that hasn't come to fruition. i think its fine, its fun, but it doesn't have the same story impact that the original trilogy had - then again, the first game of the trilogy doesn't have that impact either, so it's very possible it could grow into something great if they ever continue it (i think its been like 6 years tho, so dont hold your breath).
i would recommend mass effect 3 over andromeda, which means i recommend me2 and me3 over me:a since 2 is required for 3, but if you prefer games like DA:I, HZD, and Assassin's Creed (Origins through Valhalla), then maybe give ME:A a shot and if it peeks your interest, circle back around to the trilogy.

Year of the OTP - January Edition
So the prompts this month are:
first kiss | mission fic | fake dating | "whenever I look at you..." | snow | historical au
Now I refuse to open my fanfic ideas list because I'm not doing that anymore. I know I had some fics that probably would have worked but NOT. DOING. IT. (maybe if I say it enough I will stop being tempted idk).
Anyway some of these prompts do just work much better for fic because they are hard to capture visually BUT some would be absolutely fine for art.
The PROBLEM is what I already have on my plate. The Bering and Wells exchange, the Leverage Bingo card, the ton of projects that have been on my list for months and I haven't got to yet etc. Do I really need new ideas for projects that jump the queue? No. Do I have them anyway? *stares at the camera like I'm on the Office*
I have 3 potential thoughts (ok I may have found some references for all of them).
1) Historical AU Sanctuary OT3. Not going to lie I'm taking inspiration from Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. It's the hood and the shadow, I don't know my brain just went "hmm?" when I was looking for possible historical eras. As obviously the issue with Sanctuary is it has as canon all of recent history. A fan favourite of Regency doesn't feel so far removed from the late 1800's so it's not as cool, hence looking for something else. This is probably more mission-related in concept than overtly shippy. It's just how my brain imagined it.
2) Historical AU I know same prompt but I was thinking about my ships and my brain is very much "Bering and Wells" at the moment. I have the piece for the exchange (which isn't this) and so it's not like that ship is neglected in art but ehhh. I was feeling Ancient Egypt perhaps with Warehouse 2 vibes. Not going to lie probably going to pick up some inspiration from Assassin's Creed: Origins. This one is also going to have a kiss.
3) Mission + Snow Then there is a Sanctuary concept of Helen surrounded by abnomals near the mouth of a cave in a snowy mountain. My problem with this is my brain is only really seeing Helen, so it's not very OTP. Perhaps this one won't count for the challenge and will just go on my regular idea list (of which there are MANY) idk.
--
So that's my thoughts. Whether I will do any of it, let alone all of it, is uknown at this time but we shall see. Maybe One Day TM haha.

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within Review
Thank goodness I don't need Uplay for this.
I made a post about my background with the series/game so you can check it out if you're interested:
So here we are. This game's combos are kind of brutal, I know this is the black sheep of the family that was meant to appeal to a new audience but it's kinda crazy with its blood, beheadings, cutting people in half (vertical and horizontal), and loads of different weapons. The Prince says a cuss word in the opening boss who is this skimpily leather clad chick who smacks her butt with her swords…~looks Frank Frazetta's way~ 👀
Tumblr media
"Hit me harder prince…harder!"
If you wanted me to be quite harsh on this game, I would say that it doesn't seem finished but not in the way you might think. I'm not sure if it's poor optimization or what but the jumping and actual control over Dastan is a little touch and go, the controls could use a bit more tightening (and yes, I tried a mouse & keyboard combo as well as a controller). The cutscenes themselves can seem a bit middling because they can glitch, seem very abrupt or out of place and sometimes the audio cut out (but I get that one's a circumstantial thing). And sometimes the Prince gets his times messed up in dialogue like "I need to go back to the past" when you're already in the past and actually need to go to the present. And certain points of the plot don't make a whole lot of sense.
The story builds off of SoT in such a way that it's a continuation but its so far removed that it's a whole different chapter. I like the idea of Dastan running from pretty much literal death, facing consequences for the last game. So, he's going to try and stop the Sands of Time from ever being made. It's a passable story but it's the vibe that you really pay attention to. With sound: The music is fine when it's actually there, it has a edgy hard metal sort of vibe. The main menu has the same sound effect for everything and it gets kind of tiresome to hear that "Ch-king" over and over again.
Tumblr media
(a lot of close ups of his angry little face) As far as gameplay goes, you can see where they might've drawn Assassin's Creed as a conclusion because there were some instances where I felt like stuff a future game could build upon like say for example an open world (which they later tried with the 2008 one) but then fleshed it out in AC. It would be cool to have stealth kills, well AC has that, add that with the idea of "Persia" and make it an assortment of different places instead. But to a certain degree, when does it cease to be 'Prince of Persia'?
Each boss has a certain technique to beating it using your combos, so outside of normal enemies, this is no mindless hack & slash like you might expect, you have to be deliberate, enemies can block. Mix that with clunky controls and it feels like you learn exactly how to do it, it's just the patience to get there after being cheated due to combat, poor camera, controls, or…insta death fall damage?? Anyways, I like that they added combat after SoT apparently had a lack thereof but it's nothing special, I found it kind of annoying if I'm honest.
Each room feels like a relief to get through, this is a challenging game (and yes, I tried both normal and easy mode) so it was a bit of a crawl to get through. You get the sand mechanic but that's only good for 3 at a time which sounds understandable but you'll see…Eventually you get the means to upgrade stuff like health and more sand holders. Other than that though, you can refill sand by breaking the seldom pots and defeating enemies and drinking water to heal. One of things about rewinding is that it keeps your last input which can be both good and bad because it won't leave you completely vulnerable but sometimes that's the very reason you rewound because it tossed you over an edge or something and end up having to use another stock. It also literally uses time, so if you take a second to adjust the camera, it's going to count that.
Tumblr media
What I got was different than what I came for but I kind of dig it. There are certain sections where I felt like it required you to be a little too tight though, which for me was based around luck. Everybody talks about the Crash Bandicoot sections and while they're not inherently bad, I could make a singular fault and the run would be over, it's pretty unforgiving in that regard. The bosses eventually start slowly healing themselves too, and towards end game, enemies just become an infinite nuisance because they keep respawning, it's that relentless!
So, this isn't the Prince of Persia game I wanted but it's an interesting one. And while I don't think it's required. I think playing Sands of Time before this would be very rewarding, it only doubled my interest in the remake…if it ever comes out…(and it's as good as the original is said to be.)

Can you please make scp 076, scp 1233 dr. Clef, dr. Kondraki with a Gn!Reader who is hyperactive and jumps around and also stims a lot (rocking back and forth, flapping hands, etc..)
076, 1233, Clef, and Kondraki with a Hyperactive SO
[GN!Reader]
[Warnings: Like, none?]
[AN: Sure can! I should also reiterate to whoever stumbles on this that SCP, Assassin's Creed and Darkwood are still kinda open and bypass the requests closed rule. That's just bc I don't get a lot of requests for the last two.]
076 - 2
I don't think he really minds your hyperactivity at all. He's not like, totally in love with the high energy but he's not mad at it either.
He just kinda sits back and watches you jump around, arms crossed with a small smile on his face.
The same thing happens with your stims unless you're like, causing harm to yourself. But if you're rocking back and forth, or flapping your hands, any noises, he barely pays them any attention. Just kinda "yeah that's my SO" with another small smile on his face.
He's a pretty chill guy. You bring in some levity into his life because let's face it, he's kind of a miserable jerk at times.
But you never fail to make him feel light and happy again.
1233
Alright it's been a while since I've had to talk about this skip, so apologies for the wonky characterization. BUT he's a gentleman through and through. And the energy he gives off is very, very similar to yours.
Has such a strong sense of justice and wants to protect you. If anyone gets on you for your stims or being hyperactive, he will not hesitate to put them in their place!
Does not tolerate people disrespecting you. He's kinda your protector now.
Gets just as excited as you and the two of you will be the epitome of tippy taps!
Gives me himbo energy. He is your himbo now.
Clef
Clef is a very tired, tired man. He acts sly and gets into general mischief to make people's day interesting and you are no exception. You actually like this behavior though and that confuses him but he likes it.
He finds your hyperactivity endearing. He can keep up with it, just won't? But that doesn't mean he's putting you down either.
Doesn't mind your stims, he probably has some of his own. Will also reprimand/mess with anyone who comments on any aspect of you as a person negatively.
Like 076, he lets you do your thing, crosses his arms over his chest and softly smiles in response.
He's your biggest supporter, an loves everything about you so deeply.
Kondraki
I get the vibe that Kondraki doesn't really favor high energy at all. Like, at all. Clef is high energy and he cannot stand the man. So having a high energy SO takes so adjusting but you're the only person he'd ever call it endearing for.
I feel he reels you in a lot from the hyperactivity. He's not high energy at all. Does weirdly high energy things, but like, that's it. You two sort of balance each other out.
Like everyone else here, does not mind your stims. Accepts that they happen.
He may or may not remind you to not jump around though? It's like a habit. He doesn't mean to lecture you like you're a child or anything, but it takes a while for that habit to break. He doesn't actually mind, but the verbal habit-.
When I mean you're the only person he finds endearing for this I mean legitimately only you. You are the outlier.
