Doubts (Gaming x GN!Reader) (SAGAU IMPOSTER AU)
(Might be a bit OOC, pls correct me 🥲)
"G-Gaming...?"
Gaming's body froze, you knew his name. He lowered his weapon, his doubts coming back to his mind. Ever since everyone was given an order to kill the "imposter" by their "Divine Creator", he thought "Why the heck would we hunt someone just because they have the same face as them, that's a bit cliche 🫤", but he can't defy his god, for he fears punishment.
But you, you knew his name, like you personally knew him, unlike the one on the throne.
"You're not going to kill me...?"
His thoughts got interrupted by your voice, sensing fear in it. He sighed.
"Honestly, despite everyone claims you impersonated Our Grace, you never did anything wrong at all. You also knew my name, unlike the one on the throne who didn't knew me at all, or maybe anyone else"
You looked at him, your fear dwindling down but still kept your guard.
"Yeah, probably that. In fact, I literally appeared here, then everyone started hunting me, like bro, do I look like I'm going to do some heinous crimes that they don't think their Grace or whatever the heck they call them would do?"
Gaming tried his best to hold his laugh. Somehow, even in tough times, you surprisingly have humor (even speaking his language /j). Maybe that kept you sane while you're being hunted down or something.
Then they heard voices. It's the Milileth. Gaming looked at the "imposter", suddenly feeling bad for them.
And that's when he decided to be against the order, deciding his own fate by himself
"Hey, what are you- UHH WHAT THE F--"
Gaming them immediately gave you a glare to shut you up.
"Oi, quiet! I'm going to help this time because who the frick would order people to kill someone just because they have the same face as them?!"
You looked at him in disbelief. He's helping you? But I guess you should be grateful this time, the last time someone helped you is Bennett, Fischl, Razor, and Mona helping you to escape Mondstadt, then you got killed by the Acting Grandmaster Jean, returned home to your world, then managed improved your life there until you fell asleep at the end of the day, only to find yourself you respawned in Liyue, and now the Milileth, the Qixing, heck even the Geo broke ahh grandpa Archon started chasing you! And I guess I could say it's enough for you to slowly develop distrust against anyone. Until this guy started to help you.
"I'm going to take you to my house. My father will probably understand my doubts of this... order..."
You stayed silent as Gaming carried you on the back away from the hunters, safely hidden from them.
"You know, I really wanted to go home. I had known these types of events that would happen in this world when I came, but I half didn't expect this sht would happen to me. I don't want godhood, I don't want to become a god higher than the Archon, I don't like how really submissive but blind these people are when it comes to faith on their beloved "Creator". All I wanted is a perfectly normal life, here in Teyvat, and now I wanted to go back home because of what I suffered..."
Okay, now he felt really bad. You didn't deserved this! He felt thankful for following his guts.
"Anyways, Gaming, did you know I actually laughed at your voiceline about your troubles? Like the way you said "How much?!" and "I'm not paying for a few extra wet wipes!" got me rolling! Oh, and your thoughts on Qiqi, it's so wholesome! I'm glad Qiqi gets the respect she deserves..."
To be honest, when he brought you to his house, he is already flustered about how much you knew him, praised him, heck even he heard you said a lot people from your world liked him because of his personality. Gaming could feel like jumping to the atmosphere, he felt being recognized.
Meanwhile, you feel your trust coming back again, and it's directed towards the guy whom everyone in the fandom called him the "sunshine boi".
And you're quite thankful that he's not blind like those rodents (blinder than Dora the Explorer lol 💀)
"You know, I feel... happy about how much you knew me and praised me. I feel recognized unlike Our Grace for not answering our prayers."
ISTG THIS GUY IS MAKING OUR DAYS BETTER 😭😭💖💖💖
"Anyways, want some dim sum? 😃"
Yo, this is my first time writing a one shot in Tumblr. I usually write the stories on my notebook at school, and maybe sometimes post in Wattpad (I'm barely active there anymore, just only used it for reading purposes-)

OH WAIWAIT I HAVE ONE! I HAVE ONE!
Patching up scaramouche after the fight pretty please 🙏🏻 like as much as I'm looking forward to fighting him I really wish we could take care of him afterwards :( I just wanna bandage him up and cuddle him even if he hates me for it
hi shizunxie, I wanna do the exact same and this is the most I can do besides shifting so I hope Kuni feels a lot better now than when he fell 😅
Patching up scaramouche after the fight I just wanna bandage him up and cuddle him even if he hates them for it
Tumblr media
You didn’t even think before you took off running with the shouts of Paimon behind you as you sprinted towards the falling puppet and jumped to catch his body before it hit the floor, landing harshly on your back that was sure to bruise later but what mattered was that he was safe and physically unharmed from what you could tell and still intact. Cradling him close to you chest when the traveler and Nahida came closer to you, the archon stepped in between you both and held up her hands. “Traveler that’s enough, we have to get to Irminsul and Y/N I trust you can take care of him until we return.”
Both parties nodded and then in the blink of an eye they were gone, leaving you and the previous Fatui Harbinger along in the empty room. You tucked yourselves behind one of the arms of the mech incase anyone else came in (you had a feeling that Dottore wasn’t entirely gone despite him saying so) and leaned Scaramouche or Kunikuzushi against your shoulder so you could get a look at the tubes still connected to his back, doing your best to disconnect them entirely before ripping off some of your clothing and stuffing it into ball so whatever violet fluid was spilling out stayed inside him.
“You’re going to be okay. It’s going to be okay. I won’t leave you. Not even if you push me away.” Most of this was mostly being said to yourself but even if there was a small chance he’d hear it, you would take it. To your surprise tears cascaded down his cheeks and his eyes, briefly forcing his eyes open to speak. “You better mean that. It’d be pretty cruel if after all this time you left me.” Kuni’s eyes closed and you could hear the nearly silent whisper of love fall from his lips; the archon and duo came back from their travels soon enough.
Nahida sent the traveler away to make sure all their other friends were okay, turning to you and asking for help by carrying the former Balladeer to a spare room beside inside the Sanctuary of Surasthana. The dendro archon brought you inside her personal space and led you to a nice guest area, instructing you to leave him in your care before stopping herself and then turning to you. “You seem to have a close relationship with Kunikuzishi and he cares a great deal about you even if he doesn’t show the full extent. While looking into Irminsul, I saw both his past and your history together. You both remind me of the moon and sun, both fitting together yet opposites in many aspects.”
“Can you stay with him until he wakes up? I know it’s a big ask but I can watch over him whenever you leave and you can sleep in the same room if you wish or I have a separate room if you would like that better.” Further explaining how she was sure that he’d probably want you by his side when he woke up given his track record and getting betrayed. His hand was so cold in yours despite his lack of humanity as it always seemed to hold some warmth but you wouldn’t leave him, not when he needed you most. “Of course, Nahida. I was about to ask you if I could accompany him and I know how to treat him with first aid given he taught me.” Begrudgingly you would add but that seemed unnecessary. She nodded and told you to go collect your stuff before heading back here, letting you know to ask one of the guards to help you and show this specially marked leaf.
Luckily, Kunikuzushi always packed light being as he didn’t hold much dear to him except you of course so it didn’t take long before you were back in your shared room, bidding goodnight to the kind young god. The silence was overbearing given normally your lover would be ranting about his day and how “incompetent” his subordinates were but all you could do now was undress him of his accessories before getting under the covers with him. Your new day by day activities became routine and you grew a habit of talking to him about how your day went, sometimes complaining about how the traveler was insistent about you not trusting him and to escape while he was in a coma.
You always told him you loved him and how you missed him more than you thought you would, often kissing his forehead while you rewrapped his bandages and sleeping with your arms wrapped around his small waist. This went on for a couple more days, coming back from the marketplace with a sandwich after leaving a note on the table that you’d be back in case he was briefly awake and opening the door to see Kuni upright peacefully watching wildlife on the branches through the window. He faced you when he heard the door opening and let out a yelp as you basically tackled him against the mattress, realizing it was you and returning the hug (he did double check that the door was closed).
“You’re back! You’re back! You’re back! I missed you!” You spewed out a bunch of happy sentiments that got some laughter back from him and peppered kisses all over his face, leaning back up to cup his face and allowing him to lay against the pillow. “When did you-” “A few minutes ago but I heard every word. Every sentence you spoke while I was out. You’re the one good thing to happen to me after centuries of getting betrayed and abandoned. I don’t deserve you.” Frowning when he felt tears slipping past his eyes and rubbing his eyes to quickly disperse them, his heart you gave him cracking when he you crying as well and had you straddle his lap whilst hugging you tightly. “Thank you for loving me. I love you.”

Zhongli hcs and scenarios!!!
guys please. crying rn I NEED REQUESTS PLEASE WHAT CHARACTERS DO YOU WANT ME TO WRITE ABOUT OR MAKE FANFICITON ABOUT SHXHXHHX. anyways it’s our fav old man’s turn for some hcs!! strong man deserves all the love !!!!
Tumblr media
warning(s): pure fluff… and ofc the addition nsfw. please don’t read if you feel uncomfortable by that!!
okay this man. his picture of a “perfect date idea” would be sitting under a small tree with picked glazed lilies, either taking a nap with you during the day or stargazing at night.
honestly though he’d be so soft around you. he always speaks gentle and kind words to you or helps you with literally anything imaginable.
he likes to talk to you about his old stories that he has. all about the archon war and the personal experiences. he’s a very emotional man when discussing these sensitive topics so be kind to the poor guy :((
when you hold his hand, he’d hold yours super tight and do that little thumb rub. YKWIM???
whispers in your ear. a lot. whether it be to fluster you or to tell you something secretive, he’d hold the side of your face gently and press his lips to your ear. whether to say something or just kiss it.
when you two play games, such as board games or something, he’d get SUPER invested into it. not so much competitive, but he’d be super zoned into the game and focus REALLY hard.
when you two are together, it’s often times very quiet. he really likes to just sit in silence and hold you.
omg he would probably be like so good at making tea idk. i can just imagine him make you both some hot tea on a cold morning, sitting in front of a fire place while reading you a book out loud. you two would share a blanket and there would be a big grin on his face while you blow on your hot tea. SUCH A SWEET MAN.
pet names with him consist of sweetheart, my love, my darling. i can see him using your name a lot, but sometimes he throw in a pet name here and there!!
he would lay with you and hum to you. a lot. he just loves holding you close to him and whispering sweet nothings into your ear. humming you to sleep is an almost every night tradition!!
he’s very smart! he’ll teach you about all sorts of things that he’s learned overtime!!
when you’re having bad days i can just imagine him holding your hand while taking a walk with you around liyue. he’d make you your favorite drink and sit down with you, rub your head and smile and allow you to talk about what’s on your mind.
this is been my own person favorite headcanon of zhongli for a long time, but i feel like he’d have a special “spot” that only he and you know about!
—that special spot being a small patch of glaze lilies, surrounded by trees where nobody could even know it was there!! you two often go in the patch of flowers around nighttime. whether to hold each other in silence or discuss things, the environment is safe and peaceful :))
nsfw!!:
even though zhongli is a calm and sweet man, he can get overwhelmed easily. sometimes he lets it out on you in bed and feels so so bad afterwards :((
—although i’m sure some of you would enjoy the stern tone in his voice when this happens
imagine this. him biting his gloves to take them off, his eyes never leaving you. how do we feel about that.
“oh, my darling, I’ve waited for you all evening. please don’t make me wait much longer.”
very, and i mean very giving.
—submissive switch tbh though…
i don’t have to say that it’s big for you to know. it’s big.
he’s also another character that would kiss you lots during it. often times kissing your thighs, forehead, knuckles, and private areas.
even when zhongli is “rough,” he still tries to be as gentle as possible. he’s so scared to hurt you. but if you like it rough then he’ll do as you say for your pleasure :((
sex with him is so intimate, it’s sweet. personally, i would describe it as making love instead of fucking or sex because that’s how it’d be!!
i feel like he’d be into ass… like. he’d just like your ass. he likes to touch it and mess with it and hold it
one round is enough for him. what can i say, he’s old :((
“r-right there, (y/n). you’re— ahh, i’m so in love with you.”

AN: I decided to skip the opening cutscene along with how the traveler gains the Anemo element and meets Venti and Dvalin and a heads up, I won't be active mainly because of my private life and I have to focus on that so I won't be active and write a lot also, thank you for those of you who, who decided to read this
Tumblr media
Paimon: Were almost there!!! Paimon can't wait to try all the delicious food~ Oh!! And also help you find your sister Aether!!!
Aether: I really hope I can meet the Anemo Archon and get information about my sister...
???: *yells from above* WATCH OUT!!!
Aether: !!! *moves away quickly*
Paimon: Wahh!!! *hides behind Aether*
???: *stops gliding and jumps on a bubble to land* Phew!!! *wipes the dirt off her skirt* Sorry about that, glad I warned you both otherwise you both would've gotten hurt, anyways, introductions, My name is Y/n, resident of Mondstat!!! And you guys are?
Paimon: Paimon's name is Paimon, and this is Aether *points at a blushing Aether*
Y/n: Alright, and is Aether alright? Does he have a fever? *gets close to his to put her hand on his forehead* his head is really warm...
Aether: I-Im alright!!! Thank you for your concern!!! *quickly pulls away*
Paimon: *has a smug look* Also, you said that you're a resident of Mondstat, right? Could you lead us to Mondstat City? Paimon's directions are a blur since Paimon is getting tired after all these directions
Y/n: Sure!!! Follow me!!! *starts walking*
Paimon: What!?! Did she just trust us that quickly even if we just met!?! *stomps her foot*
Aether: *follows her*
Paimon: Wait for Paimon!!!

Paimon: *whining* Are we almost there yet?~ Paimon's hungry!!!
Y/n: We're almost there, so hang-
???: Hey you! Stop right there!
Just then a girl with long dark brown hair, orange-gold eyes, and fair skin with her most distinguishing feature being a headband with a large red bow that rests on her head, resembling the shape of bunny ears jumped from a medium sized ledge and landed in front of them
???: *has a hand on her chest in a soldier like way* May the Anemo God you, stranger! I am Amber, Outrider for the Knights of Favonius, You don't look like citizens of Mondstat. Explain yourselves!
Y/n: Hey Amber!
Amber: Y/n!?! What are you doing here!? I thought Jean said that you were gonna stay at headquarters!?! And why are you with strangers!?!
Y/n: *sweat drops* I decided to go for a walk, and I bumped into these two
Paimon: Walk? But you just-- *gets a pebble thrown her face*
Y/n: shh!!! *looks at her with her pointer finger on her lips*
Paimon: *waves her hand in front of her* Uh, we're not looking for trouble! And Y/n was just showing us the way to the city!
Amber: That's what all the troublemakers say! Especially boys that take advantage of Y/n's innocence and naiveness! *points at Aether while holding Y/n close*
Aether: Um, Hello, I'm Aether *sweat drops*
Amber: That doesn't sound like a local name to me... And this mascot, what's the deal with it?
Aether: Emergency food. *proud*
Paimon: Hey! That's even worse than being called a mascot!
Y/n: So, to sum it all up, you're traveling partners...
Amber: Well look, there's been a large dragon spotted around Mondstat recently. Best you get inside the city as soon as possible, I'll escort you there
Y/n: Oh, but aren't you here for some other reason?
Amber: I am, but not to worry I can keep you all safe while doing that too. Besides, I'm still not sure I can trust you being alone with those two just yet.
Aether: That's a rather rude way to speak with guests...
Amber: Oh, ahh...I'm sorry. Probably something that I shouldn't say as a knight. I give you my apologies, Uh strange but yet respectable travelers.
Paimon: That sounded so fake!
Amber: Do you have something against the type of language usage prescribed by the Knights of Favonius Handbook!?

The four were walking twords the city until Y/n realized something
Y/n: Oh right! I forgot to ask you both on the reason for why you're traveling!!!
Paimon: Aether got separated from his sister during a really long journey, Paimon is his travel buddy helping him find his sister
Amber: Oh...looking for your family? Uh... okay let me finish my stuff and then I can help you set up posters inside the city
Y/n: I'll help too! I'll even put a poster on my head if I have to!
All three: *sweat drops*
Paimon: Uh, anyways, what is it that your doing exactly first, Amber?
Amber: Its simple! You'll understand in a bit, even Y/n knows what it is

They continued walking until Paimon notices a weird creature
Paimon: Look! A hilichurl!
Amber: Quick! Get it!
Aether managed to finish off the Hilichurl before it could get away
Amber: These monsters have been getting too close to the city recently, My task this time is clear out their camp
Y/n: I see it over there! *points to where the camp is at*
Aether and Amber started to fight the hilichurls and while Aether and Amber finished up fighting their own hilichurls a hilichurl was running twords Y/n and since an explosion barel was near the hilichurl Y/n came up with a "fun" idea
Aether: Y/n!!! look out!!! *running twords her*
Y/n:
Tumblr media
(Pretend that's you instead of Nahida, and the attack is blue instead of green, and the barel blew up with the hilichurl)
After Y/n did that, the explosion barel exploded, ending the hilichurl and setting the area that the hilichurl was on fire
Y/n: That was fun! *clapping her hands and noticed the small fire she started* I should put that out before it spreads...
Amber: *looks at a shocked Aether and Paimon* Don't mind her saying that she just likes ending hilichurls since it's another way of releasing her anger other than being inside a bubble that she makes
Y/n: *pops up next to Paimon* Boo!!!
Paimon: Ah! When did you get there!?!
Amber: *ignores them as Y/n starts poking Paimon's cheek* Anyways, Thanks for the backup. How'd it feel?
Aether: Barely broke a sweat
Paimon: *floats higher so Y/n can't reach her* Now that Paimon thinks about it, how did the hilichurls end up here? These creatures don't seem like they would set up camps around cities
Amber: Exactly! It's more normal for them to be further out in the wilderness, but because the dragon, Storm Terror has been around recently our orchards have been destroyed and the market has been affected aswell
Y/n: When the storms hit we usually end up with a few injuries so the Knights of Favonius have been tied up doing the best they could by defending the area, and I've been helping out the best I could by helping repair some destroyed areas in the city and by healing injuries to the best of my ability and knowledge of medicine
Paimon: *has her hands on her hips* So these annoying creatures have been getting closer and closer to the city?
Amber: Exactly, that said, clearing the camp helped clearing this area. Come with me! A responsible knight must make sure to see you to the city safely.

Finally, after some more walking, they all made it to the city of Mondstat, and the place looked so lively
Amber: Let me fully introduce you to the city of wind, dandelion, and freedom!
Y/n: Travelers under the protection of the Knights of Favonius -- Welcome to the Mondstat!

I got to finish playing through Fontaine today! Here are my thoughts cause a while ago ya'll loved hearing me speak on things. (Spoilers under the cut obviously)
~ Lyney and Lynette 🥺 I didn't expect to love them as much as I do 😭😭 (Freminet too though I liked him as soon as I saw him) though I do find it annoying how much slack the fandom has allowed those two to get seeing as they both lied to the Traveler and put them on the spot during an important trial. Traveler thought of them as good friends and decided to support the two of them out of the kindness of their hearts because Lyney helped them out previously only to find out they'd hidden a possible trail breaking secret if Furina hadn't mentioned it they probably still wouldn't have said anything the only reason they did was because they got cornered. If we're being real Traveler could've just walked away right after that confession but they not only stayed but made sure that Lyney and Lynette would not get charged for something they had nothing to do with. Traveler doesn't have to be friends with literally any of the people they encounter and that includes Lyney and Lynette. Just cause ya'll love them doesn't mean Traveler has to as well a sad backstory doesn't make up for betrayal and in regards to people who keep bringing up Traveler being buddy buddy with Childe. Childe has A, been in the story way longer, B, Traveler knows who Childe is and despite how close ya'll think they are Traveler is wary of him too. A couple updates ago he was making sure to warn Yomiya not to put all her trust in Childe let's stop acting like Traveler loves Childe and thinks he can do no wrong in comparison to Lyney and Lynette. Traveler just knows what Childe is capable of in comparison to Lyney and Lynette who they've known for what like two days.
~ Never has an NPC's death shaken me that hard before. In any game! I literally went 😦 when that cutscene played.
~ It was so amazing getting to find evidence and pick apart details of this case then have Neuvillette explain the whole situation out in full to the audience again. I especially enjoyed the drawings of each scene from different characters perspectives.
~ Furina is my girlfailure wife and she has been placed under Venti for second favorite archon. 💕💕 She's so bratty, cute and dramatic I wanna breed her 😩
~ I was not expecting to like Neuvillette and Navia as much as I do now! Especially Navia who I adore whole heartedly now that's a girlboss.
~ Every time she started crying I wanted to hold her.
Honestly this region was perfect for me. I love mysteries and I rarely ever found myself uninterested or bored with the story like I have with every other nation. I love Navia's character, her relationship with Traveler treating them like her partner and relying on them the way she did while also keeping them safe was so so cute and sweet and if I could draw I'd draw the Traveler I picked (Aether) with Navia as partners in detective work (Sorry Heizou you've been replaced..) I can't get enough of Furina and I can't wait for her first story quest, the leaks of her playstyle and more from her. I wanna see what kinds of things she says to her people outside of the courtroom/opera house. I wanna see her more vulnerable side shine out a bit more often. I wanna hear every voiceline she has more than once. I'm normal about her.. (I spent all night thinking about how gorgeous she is..) I want her. I hope Lynette gets a hangout soon she's so cute but I do think she needs more personality outside of her brothers.
Fontaine is also so so beautiful 😍 the underwater mechanic is surprisingly not as annoying as I thought it would be to navigate though I do find it a little annoying that we can't fight using our characters skills. I get why I just don't like it. I wish we'd spent more time in the underground because it's amazing and the way it all looks is so impressive also wish we could buy food and things from the vendors down there.
I beg of Hoyo to give the Fontaine characters even half as much screen time as the Sumeru gang cause I have to say I am far more interested in all the Fontaine characters with only one patch of them then I ever have been with the Sumeru mfers.

@towercursed asked: " Xingqiu told me himself. It doesn't sound good. "
She chews on her lip in the pause, letting everything she's told him sink in. Of course she's going to tell Zhongli everything their son said, especially when it involves her father and his concerning behaviour. He deserves to know most of all, since her father's insults are directed at his heritage, and because he's probably the only one who can do something about it. Even if her father tries to distance himself from Liyue culture, he can't ignore the will of a god.
But there's something else on her mind. It lingers in her eyes as she glances down, fidgeting nervously and crossing her legs so she can hold her ankles. It's Xingqiu - he doesn't deserve to live like this. If her father won't change, then she has to do something. Except, there's only one thing she can think of, and it isn't a happy scenario.
" I ---- think Xingqiu should leave the castle. " She mumbles dejectedly. " Not forever - you can go with him, I'll get you somewhere safe to live just outside the walls, and maybe I can live there when I don't have princess duties but--- "
Her eyes close, trying to hide the way tears are building faster than she can get ideas out, as she places a hand over her forehead to cover it. Being away from them will be torture, but she has a duty to her kingdom and her son, to help them both - she can help Xingqiu by keeping him as far away from her father as possible. Even if it hurts.
" I can't let him stay around my father. " Her voice is choked at the prospect, stuck between a rock and a hard place. At least this way, she'll take her son out of harm's way. " He needs to grow up knowing there is nothing wrong with who he is, and being proud of his culture. He can't do that around my father. "
Tumblr media
Zhongli remained silent as he listened to his wife go on about the encounter she had with their son earlier that day, pulling at his clothing as he slid off his clothes to settle in for the evening. Night fall was the time where if they hadn’t seen each other much during the day that they can reconvene and debrief to one another. Spend the time they’ve missed together while settling down for a night’s sleep. While he liked keeping himself busy, he couldn’t deny that evenings with his family was becoming something he looked forward to from the moment he opened his eyes in the morning.
But this... his chest was heavy with veiled rage as he listened further to the incident that took place, supposedly away from either of their eyes and ears.
He’d always had his grievances about her father. King Fredrick was a selfish ruler, who thought more about himself as opposed to the needs of his kingdom and followed urges for power as opposed to true leadership. Arrogant; he knew that the king saw him and his people as ‘lesser’, and only treated him with respect because he was still a god; an archon. Zhongli had bitten his tongue for Rapunzel -- only putting him in his place with a sharp word or so, or whenever he had to talk to him in order to right a wrong. Usually it was enough to keep him at bay.
But now, he continued to target his son; Xingqiu who was still too young to properly fight back, or at least raise up adequate defenses concerning his grandfather’s prejudices. The fact that he feels as though he can say something so freely to his face, ridicule his name and thus his heritage, made his composure crack.
He released a careful sigh, tying his nightwear as he stepped back from his wardrobe, before turning back to look at his wife; his own heart twisting at the pained look on her face. “--- I will speak to him myself. There’s no excuse for such things to have been said to him under any circumstances.” If it wasn’t so late, he’d surely be making his way to the king and queen’s chambers right this moment.
Before he could say more, amber eyes widened a fraction at her next few words. Have Xingqiu leave the castle? Him and Xingqiu, rather? He knew more than anyone the love Rapunzel had for their son, the way she treasured him and constantly worried over him. There was so much love in her heart just reserved for him, and he couldn’t imagine the pain from suggesting that she rip that part of her soul apart and separate it from her being, even if it’s to shield him. The god’s expression softened considerably as he looked upon her, noticing the tears in both her eyes and voice even as she tried to hide it from him. ( And maybe even herself. Always trying to act so strong...)
“That’s...” He pauses, knowing that in a way, the idea was a good one. Xingqiu might not want for anything here, but if Fredrick continued to have access to him in the way he did, there was no telling how much more damage could be done to him. With a soft sigh, he settled himself alongside her on the bed, reaching out to gently cup her face; tilting her head just so, so that she could look to him. “... Allow me to speak to him before we come to such drastic conclusions. To both of them... I will check in with Xingqiu in the morning and also ask Fredrick to meet me for... a ‘conversation’.” His voice darkened at the word, but he still tried to keep his tone civil; if only for her sake.
“Please -- I know that this situation is less than ideal, and has caused significant stress...” A thumb brushes over her cheek softly, a gentle smile crossing his face. “I hate seeing you like this, qīn ài de. We will get through this, I promise you. All three of us.”

Incandescence
Yandere! Xiao x Adeptus! reader
Summary: Xiao does not want you, the only healer among the adepti he can converse with to be out and about in the mortal realm.
A/N: This idea has been sitting in my pile of drafts, gathering dust for a while, so here you go! I recently got some insight on the tsundere mindset so um....It's really plain and simple I hope you all enjoy this crumb oml. I tried to keep the reader gender neutral, but if I missed something do let me know through an ask or comment!
Warning: Mild description of blood, obsessive and possessive behaviour, mentions of murder and violence, Xiao being a social recluse, mild yandere content
Tumblr media
When did this all start?
Xiao has no recollection. One thing that he can be sure is: it did not started to fester recently, rather accumiliation across centuries.
This itching, strange feeling in his chest? At first, Xiao paid it no mind, whenever you came into his field of view.
You do not even talk to him that much in the beginning, besides you have no sentience-altering power, not to his knowledge.
But those karmic debts that haunt him…you seem to have the ability to quell them, with your mere presence. It is only logical, Xiao supposes, as you act as a healer among the adepti. Always so gentle and calm, always smiling. Not even the slightest of frowns when he comes to your abode covered in dark crimson.
“Because beings would come to me whenever they are in pain. Discouraging expressions would only sever their suffering.” Your fingers gently brush over a minor cut on Xiao’s right arm, closing it almost instantly. Of course, it is foolish of him to ask. You are like this towards anyone in need of your services after all.
Whenever your powers came into contact with him, it feels...warm and comforting, just like your presence’s effects on others. Of course, the Yaksha would never say it out loud, but he can allow himself to relax with you around.
It is getting harder and harder to keep a straight face around you, something that irritates Xiao greatly. However, he nneds to see you frequently(not just because of injuries). Once a week, at the very least.
Like a fire on snowy winter mountains, or a glimmer of light that pierces through the darkness.
Strictly speaking, you are not the only Adeptus who is capable of mending wounds. But Xiao trusts you the most, coming to your domain has become second nature since time immemorial.
One day, he thought paying you some occasional visit after he patrolled would not be a terrible pastime. Since his karmic debt does not seem to have any effect on you. Your tea brewing and culinary skills are not terrible, it all just spiralled downwards from there.
You do not seem to mind his little visits, and he find himself geew rather found of your company over time. A good way to keep his karmatic debts under control, that is all there is, or so Xiao tells himself.
Always letting him initiate the conversation if Xiao is feeling talkative on that day, or it would just be a plate of almond tofu and your silence company, with a book in your hands. He prefers this much better than bothersome chattiness.
Those fools dare to call him unsociable, they are mistaken. He is just not used to common forms of socialization.
----------------------------
“You what? That is dangerous.”
You did not expect him to have such a strong outburst of emotion when you told him about your plans. After Rex Lapis steps down from his archon post, you thought Adeptus such as yourself are not bound to stay in Jueyun Karst by contract anymore. According to Ganyu, the familiar mountains of Jueyun pales in comparison when it comes to entertainment events. So you thought some sightseeing would be enjoyable.
Setting your teacup down, you noticed anger flickering in those golden eyes. “Xiao, what is wrong with going to the mortal realm?” He did not look up from his nearly empty plate, simply scrapping the remains instead of answering your question.
Xiao has seen how wicked and twisted those mortals can be. If you want to see mortals, Qingce village is more than sufficient. The harbour is no place for a soft-hearted, naive adeptus such as yourself. The Yaksha cannot even bear to imagine how those greedy creatures would exploit your kindness. It is dangerous, especially with foreigners like the Fatui scheming in broad daylight. You would probably be so blissfully oblivious to those lies behind masks. Your abilities are not suitable for fighting, unlike his own. What if you fall for those dirty tricks?
Xiao will not allow any harm to befall you.
That is his duty as a guardian Yaksha, as one of Rex Lapis’s subordinates.
Since his contract forbids him from killing mortals unless there is no other option, Xiao would have to figure out other ways to not let you fall into their schemes. You always said Jueyun Karst is plain and uneventful, but that is better than being reduced to a pet or target, by some vile merchants or researchers.
Who is going to smile at him, treat his cuts and bruises with such gentleness and cook the most delicious almond tofu for him when you are gone?
Immense anger washes over him, like stormy tides at the thought of you leaving and never coming back.
“Are you perhaps worried about me, Xiao?” You walked to the other side of the floating island to reboil water for more tea, so you missed the momentarily blush on his cheeks.
Worried? Of course, he would be concerned. It would be his fault if you do manage to get yourself harmed, or killed. The others would surely blame him too, as your relation to him is no secret in the close circle of Adepti.
Those filthy mortals are not worth a single shred of your warmth.
If bloodbaths for Liyue harbour means you will remain safe and sound… No, this is a dangerous thought, Xiao knows well that he must not encourage it. But it is not off the table entirely, either.
Convincing others is never Xiao’s forte, but he has to try, for the sake of your safety.

s/o who dies.
Tumblr media
A/n: listennnn, I wasn't going to write something dark, but then I unregretfully decided to listen to edgy/dark audios and I was suddenly in the mood to write this so yeah lmao. also, guess what? I'm planning on making a discord server right after posting this! so, be on the lookout for that when I get it all sorted out. also, note for Scaramouche's that the reader inserts tend to lean more femininely versed (I hope that's okay), the only reasons why I do that is because one I simp and I'm female AND two since I am doing a mini-series for Scara, I've kind of based his imagines/fics around that universe (baby daddy universe). I haven't started his yet, but consider these part of that series' universe. anyways as always thank you for requesting anon and enjoy! <333
Summary: you die + how the boys cope afterward.
Parings: Albedo/Gn! Reader, Xiao/Gn! Reader, Scaramouche/Fem! Reader
Warnings: swearing, angst, death, poison, illness/cancer, murder, arson, obsessive behavior
Word count: 2.1k
Tumblr media
Albedo
Tumblr media
"You need to keep this on your head." Your lover said for the one-hundredth time, placing the cold cloth on your forehead once again after taking it off only seconds earlier.
"This is pointless," You said, no longer wanting to ignore nor hide behind the invisible thick curtains of the obvious death sentence approaching. "My body rejected the medicine the first twice doses, what's a third time going to do?" You asked, knowing Albedo wouldn't answer; your hope was to knock some sense into his thick skull. but he was too worried trying to ignore the obvious as you had previously been doing, not anymore though.
This was saddening to watch, both Albedo's unfolding and the girl who accidentally poisoned you, whimpering into Sucrose's shoulder. She was only a young girl, barely seventeen when she was chosen to work under Sucrose and your boyfriend. She was very good at Alchemy and luckily had a desire to practice the craft. But unfortunately, she hadn't paid much attention when it came to Surcrose's educational poison lesson and had unknowingly mixed up poisonous liquids and materials.
After tipping over some clutter in Albedo's office and knocking over a test tube laying unsealed on the counter, you had realized the contents spilled on your skin, bleaching into your pores. You had been tasked with bringing the famed alchemist and his assistant some vials and materials for the collection of a rare butterfly they had found. It was both telling and obvious that something was wrong when you never showed up with the required materials requested and it was already too late hours later when the chief Alchemist, his assistant, and Alchemist in training came bounding down the stairs of Albedo's home laboratory.
It didn't take long for the trio to realize something was wrong. Sucrose had found the vile on the floor, most of its contents spilled and in a little puddle, plus your state on a nearby lounge chair was obvious; slumped awkwardly, forehead visibly sweating, eyes closed, breathing raspily.
You accepted the first doses of the supposed nullifying medicine without hesitation, just wanting the numbing feeling to go away. But when it never kicked in you decided it would be best to save the medicine, because it wasn't working. Your time was coming.
"Since the medicine is taking immediate effect, you should try to get the contents out of your system," He said, reaching out for you. Badly you wanted to argue that the medicine wasn't working at all, but he wasn't listening and already has his lean arms wrapped around your middle, helping gently lift and guide you over to the sink.
You hear materials being shoved to the side and soon enough you had your head dangling over the sink, shaking hands gripping the metalled edge tightly. Soon enough, Albedo's hand was on your back rubbing up and down, hoping to comfort you, it wasn't working though. You could only think about your death, what the other side would look like. Could there even be heaven or hell, maybe a place in between, maybe nowhere...?
As soon as you felt the urge to vomit, you did, and despite it being utterly disgusting Albedo seemed to welcome it happily. He took this as something good, but it only worried you when you saw the reddish hues in the bile.
"I think they should leave." You muttered acknowledging Sucrose and Elizabeth, the taste of gooey, metal only becoming more apparent. The blonde agreed, nodding and muttering "Okay."
As Sucrose lead Elizabeth towards the stairs, the pair heard you say. "Goodbye Sucrose, Elizabeth." Which only seemed to make the young girl wail louder.
You sighed sadly once the silence was back. Just your thoughts of death, and Albedo's slowly crushing heart.
"You should probably leave soon as well. I don't want you to be here when I go." Albedo frowned at your statement, head shaking.
"Don't say things like that."
Of course, he'd say that. Why did he feel the need to ignore this when it would only come back to hurt him even more later on when you were gone?
"You're the smartest man I know and we both know where this is heading," You said, head feeling much heavier than before. It was getting closer to your time. "I'm going to die, and you can't do anything about it."
"I'm not leaving your side. We promised to stick together through everything, you can't ask me to leave."
"I guess... But promise me this."
"When I go, stop blaming Elizabeth. It was an accident..." You said sincerely. Albedo wanted to make a fuss about it, tell you he'd never been able to forgive her. But for you, he would try. If it was your list desire, your last wish, he'd make it come true. Though it would be difficult. Accidental or not, she was the reason you were leaving him here, alone.
"Okay, I'll try..." He said honestly.
"Thank you," You said, letting out a shaking breath you had been holding for a very long time. Now you felt much more peaceful. "And since I know you stubbornly won't leave," You started, finally turning away from the sink to look into his cerulean eyes. "At least hold my hand."
"Of course, love."
even a year after your death, no matter how hard he tried, there was still this nagging feeling every time he looked at Elizabeth
he wanted too badly forgive her, but he couldn't
she had, although accidental, taken the one person that meant so much to him and he'd never forgive
Albedo is gonna be distant towards everyone he knows and it's completely purposeful
he doesn't like the pitiful gazes that people send his way and he hates that all the captains stared at him at your funeral
obviously, some questioned if he was able to stay in the field
he hadn't taken any time off, even when Jean advised he was welcome and that it would be best
tbh, albedo's going to have a hard time for a while
Xiao
Tumblr media
Why did it have to be you? Why not him? He'd feel much better knowing you could live another day, after all, he'd been living a very long time.
But no, the fallen Archons, Gods, Yaksha had chosen you to join them. He wished that weren't the case
Humans and their pathetic vessels... So weak, he thought. Allowing something like cancer to beat them.
No matter how harsh it sounded, he didn't despise you, no. It wasn't your fault. You didn't ask for this. He just knew that if you were a godly being this wouldn't have happened like this or at least not so soon; Xiao had known Gods that had terminal illnesses to live years. Why couldn't you be like them?
He hated watching you lie there in that bed, immobile, sickly, and tired, and all you could say was that everything was going to be alright, that he'd be alright.
But it wasn't. He wouldn't be okay without you. He would struggle daily, fall deeper into a hole. You were the light of his life, the only light in his life. And you were gone, just like that. Turning external scars into internal ones tattered all over his dying heart.
Xiao for the longest time has been by himself, so the people of Liyue know it'll be harder for him to overcome this, no matter what he says or does to prove otherwise
Zhongli in particular knows how hard this will be for his friend
his first and probably last love, dead, gone in the blink of an eye
he'll continue fighting all the monsters he crosses, becoming even more violent when he does so, trying his best to get rid of this stupid sickly feeling of heartbreak
but it won't go away, no matter what he does, no matter how absurd
he just wants the feeling to go away, he despises that feeling so much
if you have a secret place somewhere, like in the mountains, Zhongli often finds him there, wallowing in invisible self-pity
"You know they wouldn't want you to be like this." Zhongli would say, only trying to help
but it doesn't
it only enrages Xiao, even more, fuels him to push everyone out of his life again instead of letting them in like he'd done in your presence
Scaramouche
Tumblr media
How dare you. How dare you leave him like this. Alone, nonetheless with a toddler to raise who kept crying for her mommy. He couldn't do this without you, he didn't know how to raise a child, speak to her with the gentle care that you did. That was your expertise but now he'd be doing it solo.
And never again would he entrust someone who he cares about, into ignorant, incompetent arms. Never again will he ever allow any member of the Fatui to watch after his daughter; no matter their rank or position. They had one job while he was away doing business in Liyue. Guard your home twenty-four seven, accompany you into Inazuma's port town should you need anything, watch after his daughter while she plays happily in the luscious Inazuma fields. And they couldn't do that. All he gave them was one simple task, watch and keep you and your daughter safe. Instead, they slacked off, probably drunk in some bar while you were being brutally attacked by murderous mercenaries, left to fend for you and your daughter, only to die protecting her and leave your home to be severely burned.
He knew those idiotic Fatui soldiers were incompetent the moment he stepped foot into the harbor and found that everyone seemed to quiet down. Especially the eerily silent soldiers flanked on each side to welcome him home; he was the highest-ranking soldier in the land of Inazuma after all. Not a single one bothered to step forward and tell him what was wrong, what they all criminally allowed happen. Scaramouche only realized what had happened when he was mere minutes away from arriving home, his daughter had come running from his widowed mother's arms, the sight of smoke rising in the air, from the direction of his home. You were nowhere to be seen.
It all happened so fast, in the blink of an eye. His daughter was clinging to his shirt and his mother only stared with tears of pity.
It didn't take long for the puzzle pieces to be put together and before he knew it, Scaramouche was standing in front of his home, part of it burnt to a crisp and black.
He didn't need to ask what happened, he didn't need to know where you were, because he already knew. What he didn't know was who exactly had done this. But he was going to find out, now.
Incompetent, selfish, bastards. They would all pay for this. The lazy piggish Fatui soldiers who he should've never trusted with such a simple task and the thieves who had murdered you. They all had it rightfully coming.
Scaramouche hates the world after he lost you
he hates it so much and can't understand how this had happened
he's not a good person, so he blames it on karma and those stupid idiots who couldn't protect you
ngl, he's not gonna be around much after your death... his mother would argue that he should be here to raise your daughter, because she's also in pain and doesn't understand that this isn't some game of hide and seek this time
instead, he's focused and driven by revenge
he doesn't listen to a word anybody says, he's much more dangerous than before, and he only trusts his judgment
anyone trying to get him to stop his mission, is someone who doesn't want to see him happy he thinks (though that's not true at all. they hate that he is obsessive over this) but he will personally put a stop to that
and he'll only return home to his daughter and mother when he finds who did this and they along with their bloodline is exterminated
while he's gone, the remainder of his family is relocated somewhere he knows they'll be safe, for example, even though he despises childe, he knows his mom and daughter will be safe with his family
sorry, but Scaramouche will hold this deep-rooted hatred and love for you after you die
yes, he still loves and misses you dearly, but he hates you for leaving him alone, hates that although it wasn't intentional and out of your control, that you were gone
no matter how hard you tried to fight, it was selfish of you to leave him like this
he's not going to stop until he believes whoever was behind this is dead
and in his case, he'll stop believing when he chooses, even if they are innocent/guilty, he'll keep going

okay wait this would be interesting- can I get a hcs for liyue boys and how they’d confess (include scaramouche even tho he’s probably in inazuma)😅😅
sure thing!  headcanons under the cut.
Tumblr media
childe
would confess in such a way that you’re not sure if he’s joking or not
he talks straightforwardly enough (”hey, y/n, do you want to go out with me later?”), but his past history of unpredictability puts you on edge
he will try to prove his sincerity to you, answering honestly and transparently to any questions you ask
if you say yes, he’ll swear to you that he’ll be the partner you deserve, that he’ll do what he can to provide for you (financially from his rank has harbinger in the fatui) and make sure that you’re always safe
your wellbeing would be his top priority and whatever he can do that ensures it, he’ll make sure that you have absolute confidence in him
Tumblr media
chongyun
poor boy would trip over his words.  either that, or he just freezes up completely, blanking out in the moment
probably hides his face in the sleeves of his coat so you can’t see how flustered he is
will then work up the courage in a “just rip off the band aid” mentality, and runs through his words – “ilikeyoualotpleasegooutwithme” and immediately feels like screaming
takes him a while to calm down from his embarrassment, but is relieved that you don’t seem put-off by his behavior and took the time to listen to him
if you say yes, he’ll be the softest boyfriend you could ever ask for.
Tumblr media
scaramouche
he actually wouldn’t confess or even ask you out, but instead demand your presence next to him constantly
would say something along the lines of “from now on, you’ll be by my side and heed my every word” and most likely get upset if you hesitate – he’s used to getting what he wants when he wants it, so uncertainty of any kind will irritate him
until you  submit to him  respond positively to his advances, he’ll continue to pester you
he won’t be a partner in the traditional sense; if he’s interested in you, it’s because of what you can provide for him, whether it be power or opportunistic situations
it’s best to be careful with him though, because once he’s set his sights on you, it’s near impossible to shake him off
Tumblr media
xiao
nothing fancy, just your hands in his as he speaks.
“be with me,” he’ll say.  despite not phrasing it as a question, he speaks softly enough so that you know he doesn’t intend to be pushy.
takes the situation very seriously and will give you the time you need to respond.
is internally pessimistic about what you might say: he’s been alone hundreds of years, and considering his past, he would understand if you wouldn’t want to be with him romantically.
if you agree, he’ll nod and squeeze your hand.  he’s repressed his emotions for so long, so you’ll have to give him time to truly open up.
Tumblr media
xingqiu
this boy has half the mind to serenade you on the spot, but he will ask you out as if he were talking to you normally.
“would you take me on a journey fit for a tale of generations to come?”
probably brings along a glaze lily, or any other flower that he knows you like for some flare.
smiling the entire time because he’s excited (and, needless to say, optimistic) about your response.
very open about his affection, and will hug you on the spot if you say yes, immediately arranging a lunch/dinner date to celebrate the occasion.
Tumblr media
zhongli
“there’s this restaurant that i believe you’d like.  if you have the time, i’d like to take you there.”
although he means for his words to come out romantically, it just sounds like he’s asking you out to a friendly dinner – just because it’s, well, zhongli of all people.  he’s always had his head in business and economics, and has never been one to dabble in sentimentality.
will eventually clarify once you’re at the restaurant, finding difficulty over the exact words to say (is the geo archon actually stuttering?), but will mention how he enjoys your company and wants to be with you more “intimately” (read: “as your boyfriend”.  we’re not talking about someone who’s up to date on modern connotations, after all).
will hold your hand across the table for the rest of the dinner if you say yes.

Theory: Baizhu is...?
Disclaimer: this is a theory, it doesn't have to be true, if its false, don't blame me, I warned you beforehand
Also, take this with humor and not to seriously
And spoilers of Liyue's or Xiao's lore
Ok let's begin with this
It seems that Baizhu is an outlander like Albedo or Amber's grandfather (just examples, they had nothing to do with this) but he does have a vision, a Liyuan one, but Zhongli didn't seem to know about him... So he is probably of Liyue or he has more than he looks like
So either Baizhu is a snake like creature (like a lamia), or is he an Adeptus?
Exhibit 1: let's take a look to his face
Tumblr media
Author, more close
Tumblr media
His face seems familiar... Were did I see it? Oh wait-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They had the same make up, and believe me when I said that almost all the Adepti use the same make up (only Madame Ping and Mountain Shaper (I think)) use that type
Also, Xiao and Baizhu have the same pupils
Tumblr media
Ok, maybe I'm wrong but as I said before, don't take this seriously, but if it's true I f-ing called it
Exhibit 2: Baizhu's sickness
If you have Qiqi or talk with Herbalist Gui, you'll know that Baizhu has a sickness that made him frail, Qiqi mentions that even tho she's a zombie, she's much better than Baizhu
So why this is important?
I don't know what sickness he has but if this is true, I may know were he got his sickness
'Some of the archons' souls were filled with bitterness at their fate, and refused to suffer it any longer. Their bitterness materialized and became evil monsters. The monsters' rage manifested itself in the form of diseases, monster infestations, and all kinds of other strange occurrences' is a little extract of the book Yakshas: The Vigilant Adepti, you can see were this is going
So, I think Baizhu was a Yaksha, to be more precise, Bosacius
If you did the Yaksha's wish, you'll know that Bosacius was the missing Yaksha, and is presumably dead
In this quest you encounter his statement, were he leaves his wealth to the one that's fated to it, in simple terms, you
So, this is my theory, Bosacius was contaminated by the corruption and disease, so once his duties were done, he would end his suffering, but he might failed and/or was saved by Changsheng
If this is true, Changsheng might be like Qiqi, someone who has Adeptal energy or because an Adepti, but my only exhibits with this are that she can speak, that she's been with Baizhu for a very long time and that she's diurnal
But hey, before you said 'BuT oZ iS-!' Oz is probably a manifestation of Fischl's vision's powers
Either way, at some point, Bosacius changed his name to Baizhu and at some point meet Changsheng, later open (or began to work at) the Bubu Pharmacy, he took Qiqi in, while trying to cure his disease, hint why Herbalist Gui tell us that he's ill since they first met til today and hasn't gone better
And if you look at Baizhu for the very first time, would you tell me that he's sick? Because for me, he isn't
Now this could apply to Rouran but we 'haven't' met him nor have a model of him, neither more information about him other than he's male, the owner of Pearl Galley, we meet him without noticing, and that he is physically frail
So that it, that's the theory
I'm going to admit that I was planning on taking about his medicines because they mentioned that they are traditional, and I thought 'oh! Maybe Guizong showed him how to made them?'
Anyways, sorry for not posting here (I decided to work on many oneshots and never finished them), many things happened but I got a Diluc (in Zhongli's banner (yay!)) a Jean, Wolf's gravestone and another Mona (got one earlier) on the Wanderlust Invocation while trying to get the Primordial Jade-wingded Spear for Xiao and thanking Paimon that I don't need any 4 star of Ganyu's banner nor their constellations, and I don't want Ganyu honestly (for now) I waited since the beginning for Xiao and I will get him
Have a great day/night, stay safe, take care of your self and good luck with your pulls
And for the Xiao's simps or stans, keep going! We only need to suffer for like 20 days before his banner (if he goes first (which I hope so))
Edit 1 (18/1/2021) (don't know how many edits this will have):
Thanks for the likes, this literally blew up, and I really wanted to say that I appreciate it
Anyways, this edit is short because I just saw Baizhu's vision and a little thought I had so
Exhibit 3: Baizhu's vision
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That vision chain thing and Xiao's shoulder pad (?) look so similar (for me) that I actually suffer through an Mandela effect (I thought that Baizhu's vision chain was identical to Xiao's shoulder pad)
This doesn't add to much but I kinda find it curious (if you want, picture me with the clown wig and make up, I don't blame you)
By the way, the daughter that Huixin mentions she has is Yaoyao? Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me, someone tasked Ganyu to take care of her, and that someone is working in the Ministry of civil affairs, and the first thing that comes in my mind if you ask me of someone who's Ganyu's underling, the first thing that comes to my mind is Yaoyao, if it's true tho... I called it!

Do you do poly ships? :0 if not feel free to do these two characters separately lol May I get some hcs of Zhongli and Venti on a picnic date with the reader? Just a quiet day in the sun where the Archons can relax for a moment and watch the world go by :D (if you wanna insert some angst maybe they suddenly realize this moment is fleeting bc reader is mortal and won't be with them forever?? Up to you lol 👀) thank you in advance!!!
I actually don't :D kidding ahahah
What I meant to say was that I haven't wrote anything related to poly relationship before so this a cool, first experience for me! And like the dumbass that I am, I took on this request and butchered the heck outta it. Welcome to "A Day In The Life Loving Two Broke Gods"-
Rendezvous with the Gods
Picnic Scenario with Poly!Venti, Zhongli, and You
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Background!
It's pretty WACK how you got two of the seven archons to be interested in you in a romantic level.
But I can imagine that the thing that attracted them the most to you is your sense of humanity. As ex-archons, what they needed now is a sense of normalcy and a grasp on reality, and with your knowledge and presence they've come to realize the ways of the mortals fairly easily.
But like, you got the two oldest archons in existence. Even the Traveler is in disbelief at this turn of events.
I think you somehow ended up in this situation when the two of them had a reunion after their retirement, and the conversation went like this: "Have you heard of the fair maiden, (Y/N)? Their existence greatly reminds me of Celestia!" "I had the honor of meeting them yes, how tantalizing they are, even the slightest sight of them invigorates me through the whole day."
They'd shower you with praises among one another, and you're forced to sneeze for an hour straight somewhere in Teyvat.
Preparation!
*wheeze*
First thing I thought was "How probable is it that Venti drinks Dandelion Wine at 4 in the afternoon?"
The answer is yes.
You three have planned this picnic days ahead, maybe even a week. As all of you have your own work and errands to deal with, probably not Venti tho, a gathering of this magnitude that requires you three to be present for hours are not as common as you'd think.
First order of business: location! The most obvious answer would have been Starsnatch Cliff, Windrise or even Dihua Marsh.
While thinking, Venti and Zhongli ended up sharing a look, and suddenly the location was settled.
No, you don't know where it is, and they tell you that they'll handle it.
You don't have to worry.
You are very worried.
Next, the food! Being in a relationship with two broke Gods made you the alpha in terms of Mora, and on this occasion, you're once again forced to put your foot down and provide.
With that in mind, both of them could only offer a guilty smile and a nervous laugh.
The outcome of your meal depends on your cooking skills really: if you're good or decent, what a heart-warming picnic that would be.
They must have tasted your cooking before so they would ask for requests on your delicious home cooking —
something light that goes with tea, said Zhongli.
something meaty and heavy to pair with wine, said Venti.
It's a wonder how you deal with these two together.
If you're absolutely terrible at cooking, like Suspicious Dish™ rating, you're gonna have to rely on your Mora to get takeout for this date.
Everything else you've pretty much wrapped up quickly, all you have to do now is wait.
Picnic Time!
Venti was the one to pick you up from your housing to guide you to the location, greeting you with a chaste kiss on the cheek before aiming for the picnic basket hanging by your elbow.
You don't let him; he might eat it on the way there honestly
Cute boy is practically shaking with excitement as he hauls you up over a cliff face and carefully nyoom! over the sea
Where is he taking you?
You didn't dwell much longer when you saw a small island in the distance, a rock formation by the edge and most notably, you're tall lover standing next to an elegant patterned brown and gold blanket placed over the sea of flora.
Welcome to Heart Island!
Very cheesy
The Geo archon greets you with a kiss on the hand before being tackled to the ground by a buzzing Venti.
How that was physically possible was beyond you-
You set up and laid down all the food you got for today's picnic: Fresh apples, 'Breakfast' Sandwich, Chicken and Mushroom Skewers!
You've also noticed a picnic basket to the side that wasn't yours. Noticing your stare, Zhongli pulled out his contributions: Mora Meat, a pitcher of Iced Tea, and a bowl of Mushroom Stew.
Out of nowhere, Venti manifests his own offerings to the table: Apples, Dandelion Wine and Mondstadt Hash Browns.
You have no idea how these two managed to prepare or afford such meals but you appreciate it nonetheless.
They had the whole week to save up Mora just for this picnic, how cute aww
The first to take a bite is Venti, defo. You and Zhongli would be prepping the utensils while the Anemo boy sneaks some food into his mouth, even if you smack his hand multiple times, he's not gonna relent.
A lot of catching up happens in this picnic: your wild commissions, Venti's recent performances, Zhongli's uh consultant stuff.
These are the rare moments where Zhongli isn't the one filling up the conversation more, satisfied with hearing the voices of his lovers and listening to their joys or woes.
The whole picnic is accompanied by Venti's lyre, strumming softly, unrelenting, to make sure all of you are enjoying the serenity of the island.
You and Zhongli take turns spoon feeding him cuz he just won't stop PLAYING
Zhongli made the Iced Tea
Zhongli made the Iced Tea
Very refreshing, right amount of sweet, would honestly be a good alternative for Venti's alcoholism
Speaking of, he's tipsy now
He's on a full-blown performance now, serenading and urging you two into a dance after eating "to digest the food faster"
Not really believable but you danced anyways.
Zhongli would decline first as he starts cleaning up
But give him a little more nudge, pull on his hand, he'll crave eventually
Rex Lapis is actually a pretty decent dancer
HAVE YOU SEEN HOW GRACEFUL HE DROP KICKS HIS SPEAR
Such a relaxing day off the three of you deserve
By the time the sun already dipped the horizon and you guys still had time to spare, you and Venti would be dozing off on the blanket while leaving the few remaining clean up to Zhongli. It was a tiring yet enjoyable day that's deserving of a nice and dreamy nap.
"Morax..." He'd hear an uncharacteristically somber voice as he makes his way over to where you both lay. Your back resting on the Anemo archon's chest as he spoons you. His teal eyes stare unmoving at your open palm of which the Geo archon takes into his as he sits down.
Little cuts litter your rough hands, from your adventures, some fresh from today to prepare your dishes. How frail and sensitive mortal hands are.
"I'll miss them, so so much." Venti confessed as his grip around you tightens, free-flowing tears erupt from his eyes that are unfocused, as if he was years away with that thousand yards stare that the other God had familiarized himself with.
For the second time in his whole lifetime, Rex Lapis found himself at a loss for words.
------
"Ohhh, a luxurious chest! What's it doing so far out here?" The Traveler lets the floating companion ramble as they pull the chest open, excited for the new artifacts they'll come by.
A teal goblet with gold accents worn out through the years from disuse as parts of its paint are chipped off as gray splotches, laid perfectly in the middle of a brown wool blanket with intricate gold and silver geometric patterns. On each side lays an Anemoculus and Geoculus, softly glowing yet dimming in pulses.
They pick it up with utmost care for safe-keeping, to ask for their archon friends in the future. Who knows, it might be the closure they needed.
Tumblr media
This took some time and a lot of pondering wow! This is even more chaotic than the Albedo one ahahah I've made myself sad just thinking about this— anyways thank you so much for requesting and your lovely support! Please let our archon bbs be happy ywy

The Eastern Wind
Venti x GN!Wind Sprite!Reader
1.4k Words
Warnings: none
Tumblr media
While you knew it was coming, the fight with Dvalin was terrifying for you. There was only so much you could do as a simple wind sprite. Diverting a gale just enough here, adding a little more force to an attack there, small things that you hoped would make a difference. All you could do was hope it would be enough.
The battle was long and hard. Dvalin, though corrupted, was still a dragon, and formerly one of the four winds. His attacks were powerful and you are very lucky that everyone survived. It was a miracle, though, well, everything Venti gets involved in technically counts as a miracle.
And isn’t that a strange thought? For all the time you’ve spent with him, and the two of you have been inseparable for years, he has never really acted like the anemo archon. But ever since Dvalin started attacking as Stormterror he’s been acting the part more and more. On the one hand, it’s good that he’s stepping up to help his people. On the other, it just reminds you how little you feel you really know him.
The day he asked you to wait outside a forest clearing while he tried to talk with Dvalin was the first time you saw this happen. And you’ll never tell him, but it crushed you that he left you behind to go do his ‘archon stuff’. A sense of doubt and worry hit you then that hasn’t left you since. Are you not good enough?
Eventually you decide that he must be trying to protect you because he knows how weak you are. There’s some truth to it. But it still hurts to be suddenly left out and left behind so often. So during the times he ditches you to run off, you start training and trying to build power. That’s how you were able to help with Dvalin at all.
Yet it wasn’t enough. You doubt anyone even noticed your efforts considering how little they probably did. And still, your friends prevailed. Dvalin was freed from the control of the Abyss Order and would no longer be attacking Mondstadt. Everyone is safe now.
Which leads you to now, where most everyone has headed back to town but you linger behind. You see, Venti asked everyone to go on ahead while he hangs back with Dvalin for a moment to talk to him about something. However, you stopped a good ways away instead. Far enough that you couldn’t eavesdrop, but close enough that you’d be able to make the journey back with him. After all, with all this insanity going on, he’d had less and less time with you and you wanted to make up for that as soon as possible.
By the time he finished with Dvalin you had fallen asleep on a low hanging tree branch. Despite your training, doing so much has drained your energy quite a bit. You had tried really hard to stay awake at first but the longer he took, the easier it was to justify just resting your eyes for a little longer.
You wake up to calloused hands picking you up and placing you somewhere warm. “You must have tired yourself out helping today,” someone commented. “I wonder where you learned to do something like that.” Letting out a sleepy hum, you curled up and fell back asleep.
Venti smiled softly as he made sure you were secure on his shoulder between his shirt collar and the collar of his cape. “It was quite impressive,” he mused to himself. “Not even I could have done something like that in your state. It took the belief of a good dozen people for me to be able to reach that level.” He hummed thoughtfully to himself, thinking back on his conversation with Dvalin.
While they had taken the time to catch up, he also had a specific reason for why he wanted to speak with Dvalin. It had been years since Dvalin withdrew from being the East Wind. And considering how things have gone recently, Venti came to the conclusion that his spot needs to be filled.
“I know you haven’t been the East Wind in a while, Dvalin. But before I appoint a new one, I want to make sure that you’re okay with it.” Venti said. Dvalin gave him a funny look. “Of course I’m okay with it. It’s not my position any more and from recent events it’s obvious that Mondstadt needs more active protectors.”
Venti let out a breath he hadn’t even known he was holding. “Alright, if you’re sure,” he replied. The conversation had ended soon after and he bid his friend goodbye. Finding you so nearby was not surprising to him, he knew you after all. And he knew you had missed him a lot with all the running off he’s been doing lately. He felt bad about it, but you being there could have messed things up and things were already so messy.
But there’s no time like the present to make up for lost time, and it’s not like he hadn’t missed you too. Not to mention how he has a surprise planned for you. That, however, would need to wait until you woke back up. So he headed up to windrise and amused himself by playing some songs until you woke up.
Once you did wake up, with a little yawn that he had always thought was just adorable, and lifted off from his shoulder, he gave you a smile. “Did you sleep well?” He asked. “I hope you did, you deserved every second of it. Thank you for your help today.” You let out an embarrassed chirp, followed by a grateful coo.
“Speaking of your help,” he continued. “You did very well today considering your circumstances! And so I’d like to make you an offer.” You tilt your head to the side curiously. “How would you like to be the new East Wind?”
He had to catch you before you fell to the ground, frozen in shock. “Is that a yes or a no,” he teases you. Shaking out of your surprise, you tilt your head in question. Are you sure? You seem to ask. “Absolutely certain,” he assures you. “I wouldn’t want it to be anyone else. We’ve been companions for a long time and I trust you with my life. Who better to entrust the people of Mondstadt too? And don’t worry, with the position I’ll give you a blessing that will help you increase your ability. You will be able to take a human form, too!”
It’s the last part that really sold it. You’d wanted a human form for a long time now, though you would have taken the position anyways. This was just a huge bonus. Looking him in the eyes, you nod your head determinedly. “Alright,” he says. “Let’s do this.”
He holds out his hands, prompting you to land on them. When you do he brings you in close to his heart and places a chaste kiss on the top of your little hood. Your whole self feels cool and silky soft. If your eyes were open you would see yourself glowing a brighter shade of turquoise.
Quickly, he sets you on the ground next to him as you start growing. When you open your eyes, you find yourself in a human form. You’re wearing the same hooded cloak as you do in your sprite form with a tunic and soft trousers beneath it. You can hardly believe it, it feels like a dream.
“What do you think?” Venti asks from beside you. Looking over at him, you smile. “This is amazing!” You tell him. At the sound of your own voice you are shocked again and Venti laughs at the look on your face. When you hear him laughing at you, you pout a bit. “This is all new to me,” you remind him. “Hopefully I won’t mess anything up. This is a huge responsibility, after all.”
Taking your hand in his, he squeezes it lightly. “I’m sure you’ll do great. I wouldn’t have picked you otherwise.” He assures you. It takes more than that for you to adjust to your new role, but he’s by your side the whole time. And though it gets difficult, neither of you would take back anything.

lantern rite with zhongli
zhongli x reader
summary: you stay in liyue and zhongli wants you to go to the lantern rite with him
warnings: gender-neutral reader
wordcount: 2.2k
A/N: its just zhongli brain rot, can we jsut live our mundane life w him forever??
Tumblr media
you were wandering the lands of liyue for a significant amount of time already.
you would’ve usually just camped in the open like you used to do on your adventures in mondstadt - before the knights learned about this and generously offered you an apartment with no rent required - but ever since you mentioned this idea to a powerful god of geo zhongli, he wouldn’t hear of it.
“you are staying over at the wangsheng funeral parlour, y/n,” he said in a serious, low tone that made your stomach twist in ways that you didn’t yet understand.
“what do you mean? i can’t just stay there,” you said in return, brows furrowed.
“there are a few rooms behind the official wing that we use for business and actually me and hu tao live there, we do not have a conventional “home” anywhere,” he rationally explained and continued looking steadily into your eyes.
you never had a problem managing eye contact, but with his piercing amber orbs it was quite difficult.
“zhongli, i-“ you started, looking behind him at the open entrance to the balcony.
it was getting dark already, and even though you were used to camp life, you did notice that wild liyue was rather dangerous to rest at.
“only if you really don’t mind,” you stated with a sigh of defeat, closing your eyes and putting hands on your hips, “but i’ll pay.”
“dear y/n, i simply won’t allow it,” he said and you felt his gloved fingers on your chin and opened your eyes immediately, meeting with his.
a mysterious smile played on his lips, “you can just invite me to a meal, this form of payment will be sufficient,” when he saw a blush creeping up your face, he let go of you, standing straight again and clearing his throat, becoming flustered himself and looking away.
“alright,” was all that you could muster to answer in a higher tone than usual.
.
.
.
and there began an era of you living with hu tao and zhongli for the course of weeks that stretched into months as you tried to scout out the eternity of liuye’s landscape, hopelessly looking for your lost sibling.
most days you’d come back to your new home exhausted and just plop on the couch in front of the kitchen isle, already seeing some food left on the counter for your arrival.
you were never sure if it was hu tao’s making or zhongli’s, but that question was answered tonight, as you saw geo archon finishing up tonight’s dish - slow-cooked bamboo shoot soup - not even paying attention to your shuffling in the room.
you felt grateful yet a bit guilty that you made zhongli do something for you every day this late.. sometimes you wouldn’t return until the morning and even then you found a warm plate of breakfast on the counter.
you didn’t have much free time to get to know zhongli better, but even so you two have become an acquaintances of sorts. someone could even say.. friends.
a few times during your stay you were persuaded to take a break and took a few evening walks alongside rex lapis, your conversation making you feel at ease and understood.
if only you’d have more time to just.. do nothing, then you’d even..
you were staring at his broad back for quite a while already as he was cooking, no official costume present, just a simple comfortable shirt that gave you more of a feeling how home-y you have become with him.
it felt natural to come home and see him, either reading a book or just sliding the door to his room open to say a gentle “goodnight” or ask a few questions about your day.
you really liked him. you clicked as personalities, he was interesting, handsome-
“are you here?” you suddenly felt a gentle single tap on the top of your head, as zhongli’s voice brought you back to reality from your thoughts.
from the thoughts that you shouldn’t be having, because there’s no way that something would ever happen between the two of you.
so you shook your head and then smiled at him wearily.
“yeah. sorry, a long day,” you said silently and looked at two plates that were now sitting at the table.
“i wanted to dine with you tonight, is that alright?” he asked and looked up at you with his amber eyes.
“of course!” you nodded and then looked down at the table, “and thank you.. for always making food for me.”
“oh, it’s nothing. hu tao said that since you’re our guest i don’t have to worry about using more ingredients for food than we do usually,” he then began to eat.
as you dug in into your dish as well a comfortable silence has settled in the room.
it was always like this with him.
comfortable, safe.
you wondered how he’s gonna react when you tell him you’ll probably have to leave soon.
maybe it’s a good time to bring it up, even though it’ll ruin the moment of peace.
you mulled over the idea for a few minutes and couldn’t find any way of saying it the way you wanted it to sound, so you just started;
“uhm.. i think i’ll go back to mondstadt.”
ever so composed zhongli literally choked on his food and coughed a few times, steadying his posture once more, brows furrowing, not meeting your eyes.
“why so sudden?” he just asked simply.
“well… i don’t think i have any luck here.. and i’d love to move to the next region, but i wanted to talk it over with other knights beforehand, just to be safe,” you answered and sighed.
it’s not like you wanted to leave.
“that is a good choice indeed,” he stated, but you sensed that he wasn’t pleased by your “choice” at all, “but why won’t you stay just a few days longer?”
he finally finished up his food, gently patted his lips with a cloth and put it aside, now meeting your gaze.
“there is a lantern rite festival in the end of the week and..” seems like zhongli was trying to pick the right words, which was unusual of him, “i was hoping you’d accompany me.”
“oh,” you have heard about the event scarcely, but didn’t pay it any mind, knowing that you’d probably have no time to enjoy it anyways.
“your sibling is out there somewhere, i believe in it,” zhongli didn’t even let you speak, which was twice as unusual of him, as if he was already trying to persuade you even before hearing your verdict upon the matter, “and i wanted to offer you my help. i finally have no rites of parting to arrange and am quite free of any work that was holding me back before,” and as an afterthought he continued, “and i think you really deserve some rest, y/n. i’ve seen how hard you’ve been trying to find your sibling, help the adventurers guild.. it’s only natural and fair for you to take some rest and replenish your energy.”
you were frozen in place with a spoon half-risen to your mouth already, unable to tear your eyes from him as he finished his monologue.
you were used to him talking about the past events or fond memories for a long time, but it was never addressed directly at you.
so you just looked down and started intensely finishing up your soup, trying not to think about the way you’re probably blushing right now.
and once you did and looked back at zhongli, he was sitting composed in front of you, light smile resting on his lips.
“i’ll stay then,” you nodded and smiled at him back, his expression growing softer at your words.
“thank you,” he mirrored your nod and then took the dishes - even after your protests - and started cleaning them up himself.
.
.
.
you were so glad you decided to stay. last few days were filled with you just walking around the city and outskirts alongside zhongli as you were finally able to relax a bit and push a pressing matter of finding your sibling for a few days later.
the lantern rite day grew near and it was already happening in the evening. for some reason hu tao insisted of pampering you up and didn’t let zhongli see you until the event started.
“why are you like this?” you ask tiredly hu tao as she was helping you to put on a classic chinese dress that was worn both by men and women (and everyone in between) in this festive time.
“you think i don’t see how you’re staring at each other?” she giggled as she started rummaging through her hair pins that would look good on you.
“each other?!” you yelped in confusion, only to be met with a flustered reflection of yourself in a mirror in front of you, so you dropped your shoulders and sighed, lowering your gaze, “if anything, it’s only me who’s staring, hu tao..”
“ha!” the laugh was more similar to a bark as she reacted to your words and soon enough appeared next to you, putting a pin to your bangs, adding your hair a little decorative twist, “that’s what you think.”
you didn’t have any time to protest to that, because you heard a knock on the door and hu tao yelled “don’t you dare come in, old man!” right back.
“i just wanted to inform you two that the festival has already begun,” said a calm muffled voice outside and you found yourself smiling at that.
“okay, we’re almost done!” said hu tao and finally helped you stand up, letting you look at yourself in the mirror.
you really looked exceptional tonight and couldn’t hold your positive emotions bubbling inside of you.
“thank you,” you said to hu tao and hugged her tightly.
she just giggled and murmured something along the lines of “don’t mention it” and went with you out of the room, straight onto the balcony in front of the wangsheng funeral parlour.
your eyes found zhongli immediately as he turned and looked at you.
he gave a polite nod to his friend and then his amber orbs drifted to you and his expression broke into something way softer than you’ve ever witnessed before.
only after a while you realised that your festival dresses were matching. yours was just in lighter, yellow tones, whereas his was in dark brown ones. it complemented each other perfectly.
.
.
.
you didn’t really notice how it happened, but you two ended up alone, just walking on the outskirts of liyue harbour, after participating in many festival activities.
you were standing on the hidden viewpoint where you could see the whole city, beautifully lit up, yet where you were standing there were scarcely any lamps, so the atmosphere was dim and comfortable.
zhongli was the first one to break the pleasant silence between the two of you.
“i dont want to be straightforward,” he started as he stood next to you, his hand on the railing of the balcony, “but i’m afraid i just have to share my feelings with you, y/n.”
you looked up at him, question in your eyes.
could it be?..
“i don’t usually take interest in humans, but.. it’s safe to say you drew me in and left me enchanted,” words were rolling off his tongue effortlessly, “by your driven heart, pure intentions and determination,” he paused a little and then chuckled to himself, “kind of remind me of myself, back in the day.”
with his free hand he reached out to yours, and took it in his palm, squeezing a little;
“i’m not immune to human weaknesses either.
and my guess is that i’m certainly not immune to your charm.”
he then brought your hand to his lips and gave it a light kiss, eyes trained on you.
“so if you accept me, then i’d be happy to court and protect you,” he finished his speech more quietly than he began and now was just politely waiting for your response.
for the rest of your life, if you allow me; he thought to himself, but these kinds of words are still too heavy for you to bear, he settles and doesnt say the rest of his initial sentence.
he came to accept that his lovers will come and go, since he is an immortal being, but it won’t stop him from giving his all to his loved ones.
“zhongli..” you said with trembling lips, as you tried your hardest not to cry.
you were falling in love with him slowly day by day, not even realising it and you’d never even think of him reciprocating your feelings and now it simply feels too overwhelming. in a good way, of course.
“is that a yes?” he squeezed your hand once more, his smile growing wider and eyes softer.
“of course,” you sniffed and pushed yourself into his embrace, not willing to let him see you cry, at least not yet.
you felt his heartbeat in your hug and you swear you never wanted to let go anymore.
“thank you,” he said gently and you felt his lips pressing to the top of your head.
you really chose the best man to fall in love with. ////// if you wanna be added to my genshin (or any other fandom) tag list then please either comment or dm me! also my requests are open so feel free to text me that as well, if you’d like <3

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬. (𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢)
“Even gods can’t help but stop to catch a breath.”
Notes: fem reader.
Tumblr media
There were many things I wondered about.
After so many years of living, so many eons of asking questions without answers, I simply stood in the middle of a dandelion field, surrounded by crystal flies--Like a fool.
As I gaze upon the starstruck sky, what would lie ahead of me now? I was but a directionless being, with nowhere to go. My kin were gone, separated by walls that spared no mercy, not even to the birds. Now, all that remains of such were merely ruins of old. Its as if I’ve completely lost my purpose--no longer a protector of Mondstadt, no longer worthy of the long lifespan I was blessed with--Just a being of pure element, lost and astray.
It was there when I first felt the wind glaze over me so softly, and it was the first time I met you. At that moment, I felt a moment of rebirth. You were so kind, glazing upon me with such hazy eyes, and I felt so out of place. You, the ever glowing saint, an archon of the new world, and me... a soldier with no master.
I couldn’t even muster up words, for I was ashamed. Ashamed of what you’d think of me. So I did the bare minimum, for a being with heavy debt to Mondstadt itself. I ask for my punishment. “I lower my head to you. Please, set me free.”
His response however, shattered my expectations. With little to no hesitance, his reply flew like the wind. “That is for you to bring upon yourself.”
W-what? My eyes felt like saucers, as my throat ran dry. What did he mean by that? Freedom, retribution, I deserved none of that. The sin I hold upon myself by serving Decarabian is too much for a simply apology. It’s a burden I must carry.
“(Y/n) (L/n),” I rise my head to the call of my name. “--Former soldier of Decarabian’s. But most importantly, a lover of Mondstadt.” His hands outstretched to mine, and for some reason, it was as if I was naturally drawn to him. I knew his name, I knew who this was. Barbatos. It seemed that it wouldn’t take long for me to realize that no matter what form he took, he was still the same inside.
Archon, elemental being, bard. No matter what, Barbatos was Barbatos, and he gave me the ability to see truly for the very first time. That my freedom was in my own hands.
“Then, with the freedom you’ve given me...
Let me vow to protect Mondstadt, for as long as I live.” It was going to be a very, very long time. I knew that. But I shall do this with the freedom I have granted myself. For the good of the four winds, of the nation I loved, and Barbatos, this is the vow I will stand in for as long as the wind howls.
...And that was how I ended up with this total drunkard of a god for the rest of my days.
Should I have begged even more for my execution? Probably. But would Barbatos still spare me? Most likely so.
“Dandelioooooonnn~~” his words were slurred, like he was riding a merry go round of booze. “Why won’t you let me touch you? Hey, come here~~”
“--That is unnecessary,” our friends watched as we bantered, me dodging Venti’s barrage of physical affection, and Venti... still trying no matter what. The traveler, who sat opposite of us, could only stay bewildered at the story, and the stark contrast of its two main heroes today.
“S-so, this is the fierce warrior who was granted the mercy of Lord Barbatos?!” Paimon’s mouth was agape. She stops for a breath, before carrying on. “You m-mean, (Y/n) once KNEELED to Venti?! Not only that, but the Barbatos in that tale feels so different than the Barbatos now!”
“It’s like watching an old married couple.” The traveler adds on to Paimon’s speech, still in disbelief. “So, that was how you met?”
Pushing away Venti’s hands, I try my best to keep a straight face. “Yes. The tales you hear the townsfolk tell to their children are partially true. however. the one Venti and I have told you tonight is how it really went down.” I chuckle at the thought. Who knew our first meeting had such an impact? “Though I’m glad it’s been teaching the kids a good life lesson or two.”
As my eyes trail back to Venti, I was hit with a softness, the same softness I felt after my adrenaline rushes were over, and when I knew everything was safe. I was pretty sure the traveler noticed my fondness too, but it’s alright. It’ll be our little secret. “Say, traveler. Let me let you in on a hymn of the bards of Mondstadt.”
“No matter how far the wind blows, everything stays,” I shift a bit at Venti’s weight, finally letting him rest on my shoulder. He reeked--though that was to be expected. “Right where you left it. Everything stays, but it still changes.”
I hope the traveler knew what I was talking about. In any case, the feel of Venti’s hand in mine, and the way he looked at me with such gentle eyes even whilst intoxicated proved such phrases to be true. We’ve gone through change, we’ve become different people. Once a warrior, once a rebel, now simple folk of Mondstadt, learning how to love like the people do. Once on different sides, fighting for the same freedom, and then--as the same wind blows, our relationship with each other slowly differed.
“So~” Paimon started to speak again, this time in a mischievous tone. “How did you two fall in love?”
Unexpectedly, I threw out a hoarse chuckle. Love. Such an unexpected experience that had befallen me. The truth was, I never expected it--at least not during my days of serving Decarabian. But as the times past, and when nations grew, I began to realize quite the consensus. The Mondstadt I protect now is still the same, yet things are different now. I didn’t need to devote myself to endless servitude, to slice monsters in half--because there was barely the need for it nowadays. Mondstadt’s people are capable of protecting themselves, and perhaps that was what Venti wanted me to believe.
“And then, perhaps that was when he grabbed the opportunity and freedom to woo me.”
“Ho ho, and it worked!” I roll my eyes at Venti’s sudden jab. Geez, what a childish god. “She used to be so serious. “I will protect Mondstadt!” “I will devote my life to it!” “No threat will ever pass you, Barbatos!” And then she’d run off to the wind, flipping her hair and acting all cool.”
“--But give her a flower and a song and she’s all red like an apple! Ahahahaha!” I wince at the embarrassment, quickly shutting his mouth. The traveler and paimon seem amused at the sudden revelation, and this was when I realized that it was probably best to do some damage control before my dear lover would be sleeping on the couch tonight.
Bidding the two and the bartender at Angel’s Share a farewell, I shoulder Venti, making sure to guide him deftly through the streets of Mondstadt. As we pave through the mostly empty surroundings, I start to feel warm--almost proud of the new Mond of today. How long as it been since the people were granted freedom? Since I had been able to stop and see the fruits of the labors its people who fought for it grow? It’s a nostalgic feeling, really.
“Heya, (Y/n).” It seemed that Venti noticed my silent musings. I hum a response, with no expectations whatsoever. If it was a question about how far we were from home, surely that--
“Marry me.”
I nearly ran into the pavement there and then. Marriage? To Barbatos? To Venti? To the man I knew as my lover? Wait, of course the person you’d get married to is most likely your lover. Then, why am I still so flustered? Why is it that with this man, everything felt so different and new? How is it that he could make such a mess of me, yet make me whole?
“Hey, why are you so quiet?” He pouts, adorably I might add. I still stumble to catch my breath. To be honest, I wouldn’t mind... “We’ve been together for so long, we’re pretty much just giving rings to each other. Come on~”
“Geh... When you put it that way... can’t you take this seriously?”
I felt a sudden drop--a different feeling place itself on him, and all of a sudden, he vocalizes many, many words. “I have! I’ve consulted the church, I’ve looked at all kinds of rings and other things you might prefer for proposals, and I’ve been thinking about it even in eons of slumber! I want us to be happy, (y/n), but most importantly, I want you to be happy, so regardless of your acceptance, it’s fine if we stay by each other’s sides, right?”
My breath hitched. Tears were threatening to prickle my eyes. Of course he’d be  so thoughtful, yet so playful too... don’t tell me. “I don’t want you to propose to me while you’re drunk, Barbatos... but you’re actually sober, aren’t you?”
“Ehe.” He chuckles, before getting on one knee, a small crystal core presented on the palms of his hands. “So, is that a yes?”
I couldn’t contain my smile. No matter how red my face was. A chorus of giggles rang through the night sky, and as Venti hovered over to my head to place the crystal core on my hair, I accepted his proposal.

“Wanna grab a drink?”
Venti was all too happy to receive an unexpected treat. You were pretty excited too. A drink with Mondstadt’s Archon? It was a dream come true!
“Are you really who they say that you are?” You asked as Venti chugged back half a mug of dandelion wine.
“That I’m Barbatos? Yes, yes, that is very much hic true.”
It has been his tenth cup of dandelion wine and he seems all set to drain you of your Mora.
“First off, could you chill on the wine? You’re drinking way too fast…” You were feeling a tinge of regret now as his face was turning a bright crimson red.
“Can we get a glass of water? Thanks!” You whispered to Diluc, who gave you a stoic nod. You bit back your smile. So handsome…
“Hear ye! Hear ye! I hereby declare that every son and daughter of Monstadt hic should taste this! Finest of wines for the finest of people!” Venti was definitely drunk. You huffed in bemusement. Taking the mug of water Diluc had offered to you, you aimed your finger above the cup. Closing your eyes, you imagined 4 ice cubes forming and dropping into the cup.
With the sound of water splashing, you opened your eyes to see 4 cubes of ice in the cup. You grinned with glee.
“Now, drink this.” You offered it to Venti, who laughed and took a swig from that cursed mug. In exasperation, you grabbed the mug from him and willed for the liquid inside to freeze over.
“Wha-hey!” Venti complained, pouting so adorably as he snatched it back to drink more but found it completely frozen.
“Enough, drink your water!” Venti reluctantly took it from you and drank it down.
“You really should take care of yourself.” You sighed as he laid his head down on the wooden table. You and Venti sat in comfortable silence.
“Are you not going to drink?” Diluc asked as he swiftly polished a wine glass.
“I’m not really one for alcohol, they can be a tad too bitter for me. Perhaps some…Grape juice?” You hummed to yourself. You noticed the slight surprise in his eyes as you ordered his favourite drink from the menu.
“...Please wait a moment.”
“You really do have strange clothes. Anyways, you have not introduced yourself to me even after all these hic drinks.” Venti balanced his head on his hand, detaching himself from lying on the table.
“I’m (F/N) (L/N). You could say that I kinda came…A long long way from home.” You nervously laughed as Diluc raised an eyebrow.
“Aha! No wonder I liked you! That sense of freedom to go exploring and adventuring!” Venti grinned. His flushed face was an indicator that he had too much to drink, even with the iced water you made for him.
“Ah…Aha, I didn’t have a choice to. It’s more of Fate’s Decision for me.” You pressed your hand against your chest self-consciously. You could feel the thrum of the Gnosis against your chest and hand.
“Fate or not, you have a choice in everything you do and you chose the one you believed was right. Isn’t that good enough?” Venti giggled.
“That’s…That’s about right.”
You were surprised. Even though he was not there, he seemed to know what you have been through and speak into your heart. You did have a choice and you picked what you thought was best.
“You shouldn’t be afraid of the path you chose. Just enjoy learning and walking on it.” Venti’s eyes looked into yours and it felt as though he knew you for years.
“..Wow…Thanks. I really needed that.” You felt a weight lifted off your chest.
Diluc came with your drink in hand, pushing it onto the wooden table. You took a sip, reveling in the taste of grapes.
“You may be a young Archon right now, but it will be okay. You’ll grow as it comes along, no sweat.” You blinked in surprise as he murmured softly. You had never mentioned your form to Venti.
“How did you- We Archons can recognize when there is a new one among our ranks. But don’t worry. Your secret is safe with me.” Venti winked, stage-whispering to you.
“But…Will everything be okay?” You wondered. You distinctly remembered that the Fatui were actively hunting for Archons and their Gnosises.
“There is no sense in worrying on things you cannot control. Just do what you can.” Venti remarked, watching as the last customer staggered out of the door. Before you knew it, the moon was high in the sky.
“W…What about the Traveller?” Venti tilted his head in curiosity as you asked. He reminded you very much of a cat.
“Uhh…Aether?” You tried guessing.
“Ah, he went off to Liyue days back. He’s probably still there since the Lantern Rites are in a week’s time.” Venti managed to defrost the last of his dandelion wine and casually sipped on it.
“Are you looking for them?” Diluc asked, his eyes studying you closely. While you had strange clothing, he could not sense any malicious intent. You tugged at your sailor school uniform self-consciously as he seemed to check you out.
“Well, maybe, kinda? They helped me out when I was in a pickle so I really wanted to thank them for it.” You inwardly gulped. You could feel Diluc’s eyes pierce you. Could he tell that you were lying?
“Ah, maybe you should set off tomorrow. You might be able...to catch them there...” Venti finished off his wine before he slumped over the table, his eyes fluttering shut.
“Hey! Don’t sleep there!” You huffed as he seemed to black out. You heard the door open. The amicable spark in Diluc’s eyes vanished instantly and his shoulders stiffened. You knew one of the few people who could cause such a reaction.
Kaeya.
“Aether mentioned that he would be visiting the different lands and Archons, perhaps you might be of assistance.” The blue-haired man sat himself beside you. The way he jumped into conversation…Had he been listening in this entire time?
You couldn’t help but feel that something was off as Diluc stared at you. What is he planning?
“Oh…I guess I need to get going for Liyue tomorrow, I suppose. Don’t suppose you know of a good inn to stay in?” You stretched, trying to play off your nerves.
“You can stay with me for the night.” Diluc interrupted Kaeya as he poised to open his mouth. Diluc wiped his hands with a towel before donning his gloves, barely concealing his contempt for his stepbrother.
You could feel your gulp echo in the room. The air had became so heavy.
“Uh, you sure? I wouldn’t want to impose…” He was unusually…kind. It was strange as he reminded you of the typical cold characters in your manga.
“I insist. Also, that will be 1000 mora.”
“Ah.”
You handed up the payment for the drinks you had ordered for both Venti and yourself. As you stood to help Venti, Diluc pressed his hand against yours, stopping you from waking Venti from his wine-induced slumber. You felt your cheeks flush as you jerked back your hand.
“Leave him. He will be alright.” Diluc adjusted his gloves and coat. With a sharp jerk of his head, the bartender who was switching shifts hoisted the young boy up to the room above.
“…If you say so…” You nervously followed Diluc out to Dawn Winery.
Walking out of the walls of Monstadt, the questioning began.
“What will you do once you meet Aether?”
“Thank him, maybe follow him if he allows for it? Since he is visiting the other Archons and lands, I’d like to tag along to learn about them too.” You hummed.
“…Is that really all?” Diluc frowned.
“Yes. Besides, I have absolutely nothing to gain if I try to hurt him. If you are still that suspicious, you could always tail or follow me. Though, that means you have to…abandon your responsibilities here.” You said as you massaged your neck.
“That will not be a problem. You will find that my servants are well equipped to handle-“
“Oh Mr Hero, I was not talking about your Winery, though that is a fair point.” You stole a glance at him.
Diluc was silent as you both saw the Winery in a distance.
“…How did you know?” Diluc asked.
With a soft smile, you booped his nose, “That’s classified.”
Tumblr media
As you settled in, Diluc took a moment to take a breather while his maids handled everything. Despite his suspicions, you were right. He had responsibilities to take care of. He could not rely on the Knights to do his job.
“Well, looks like I need to call in a favour…” Fetching a quill and some paper, he sealed the letter with wax.
“Head for the Umbrella Apothecary in Liyue and give this to the Healer who resides there.” As his servant bowed his head and disappeared into the shadows, Diluc sighed as he looked back towards your room.
While it was a relief to find out that you mean no harm to Mondstadt or Aether, he could not help his curiosity.
“Classified information, huh?”

Summary: albedo has been gone for an awfully long time, somewhere in Dragonspine. you’re worried about him, naturally, so you go look for him. he’s refusing help for some odd reason, and you find that he’s having trouble. you let him know you’d never even think of leaving his side, no matter what.
Parings: Albedo/Fem! Reader
Warnings: angst, fluff

The ashy blonde hadn’t been down from Dragonspine in weeks, nearly a full four months. And you couldn’t lie, you were growing worried.
It wasn’t unusual, pretty typical behavior for the genius alchemist actually. But, by now he would’ve sent a letter of some sort, clueing somebody in on his whereabouts, if he needed more supplies, etc. He hadn’t done that yet. And you were afraid he probably wouldn’t.
Sucrose was the last to speak to him, which happened to be two months ago when he sent her down the mountains, back to Mondstadt. She had told you that he was fine when she left, busy dissecting some strange specimen he’d found. Typical Albedo entranced and focused on everything the mysteries the world had to offer.
You didn’t mean nor want to rain on his parade, but you would have to make the journey to Dragonspine and check on him. You couldn’t just sit here, as his friend and lover.
It was a surprise after the third month that Jean hadn’t sent a team to check on him, but then it all made sense when she explained her reasoning. The only thing stopping her from sending a team up to check on him was the fact that all of the able soldiers were either injured or off on missions; Kaeya was off on some personal business away from Mondstadt, Varka and his team were still on their long strenuous mission, the Honorary Knight was still in Liyue, and Hertha wasn’t authorized to travel outside of Mondstadt.
It was a relief you were the captain of the exploration team, tasked with exploring Teyvat, bringing back information for maps to be drawn, possible paths to be made, and finding new lands. You, on the other hand, were authorized. It was just a matter of getting permission from the Acting Grand Master.
“Jean, may I please have the authorization to take a small team with me to Dragonspine?” You asked the blonde who seemed to be busy filling out paperwork. Most likely configuring new formations and teams, since the majority of the soldiers were unable to travel right now.
“All able soldiers are unavailable,” She reminded you, eye’s briefly lifting from the wordy documents, before glancing back down to write something. “If you wait a few days, I can send a team up with you to find Albedo.”
A few days. You had a feeling she would tell you that. That wouldn’t work...
You rocked back and forth on your heels, “Excuse my impatience, but I’d prefer to leave now.”
She stared at you, eyes empty for a while, thinking, though a brief smile shaped her lips. “Do you believe you can make the trip by yourself?”
Sure, the cold was something you weren’t accustomed to, but you’d do anything for Albedo. Even travel aimlessly through a snowstorm. You nodded eagerly.
“If you’re not back within three days' time, I will send a few soldiers after you.” She explained.
“Thank you.” She bowed her head.
“Good luck, Knight.”
Thankfully, you remembered the general location of Albedo’s hideout in Dragonspine. You could thank your excellent memory - having trained your brain for years mesmerizing back roads and maps - visiting more than once also made it much easier as well.
You reached Dragonspine within a few hours and made the trek up to Albedo’s hideout in less than two hours. The sky was greying the higher you got and the snow only seemed to fall quicker and land on your exposed cheeks like sharp pellets. A snowstorm was approaching, you noted, you better hurry.
Venturing deeper into the medium-sized jut out in the mountain, you could see a single small flame, lighting up the back end, but other than that, the cave was encompassed in darkness.
“Albedo?” You called out to your lover, noticing an onslaught of shrewd books, some open, some with pages ripped and torn, only a few had the luck of not being tarnished. “Are you here?” You asked again, the only response was the echo the cave shot back.
Though, in a heap on the floor by the fire, you found exactly what you were looking for. As you approached, the flames became more visible and now you could see more of Albedo. He was oddly on his side, leaning against the back of the rocky cave wall, legs loosely curled into his chest. More of those books he adored so much were shrewd around him, along with his own notebooks, filled with scribbled words.
“Albedo!” He didn’t appear to be moving, only when you practically flung yourself at him was when you saw shallow breaths, chest moving faintly. Furthering your inspection, you gripped his arms and leaned down to his chest, putting your ear right to where his heart is.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
You sighed, forehead lowering onto his chest out of relief. He was alive, thank goodness.
You still couldn’t see his face though. Ashy blonde hair shielding it, soft bangs hiding his eyes. The only thing your eyes saw was the shape of his lips and the bridge of his nose.
“What’re you doing here like this?” You asked, hoping he would just look at you. His uncharacteristically odd positioning and the fact that he hadn’t even uttered a word yet were enough to leave you concerned.
Maybe his time in the icy mountains, in solitude, was not beneficial to him like originally thought...
“Can you speak?” You asked, confused as to what was going on. Maybe he was too cold to speak. You noted from gripping his arms earlier, that they were ice cold, goosebumps on usually unmarred, soft skin. The small fire was doing nothing to keep him warm and you weren’t sure if he had any warming bottles or Goulash left... Presumably not, hence the reason he was as cold as ice. The real question was, why was he still here, suffering like this, in the cold? Despite popular belief, he knew when to leave dangerous environments when they were a threat to him; all knowledge, research, and experiments aside. No, this was something different... Something was terribly wrong.
“I have a few warming bottles,” You explained, reaching into your cloak pocket, slender fingers enclosing around the small bottom, taking it out of your pocket. “I know these things aren’t entirely useful, but it'll help warm you up for a little while.”
“No, don’t waste them on me, please,” He whispered. Hissing in pain, reaching for his head. “You need them to get back down the mountain.” The alchemist said lastly.
“Waste them?” You whispered to yourself, ignoring your questions when you heard him hiss. “You’re in pain,” You stated, eyes narrowing to search for any sign of blood or wound. None from what you could see. “I’m not going down the mountain without you.”
Were his wounds internal? His head seemed to be hurting. You weren't a doctor, but maybe it was from the cold, that was plausible. A headache of sorts, a symptom of hypothermia, though you hoped that weren’t the case...
He needed to be warmer, as soon as possible. “Would you like my cloak? Here.” You were already shrugging your cloak off and draping it over his shoulders before you even got a reply.
“Please,” He started, sluggishly easing the article of clothing off of him. “Put that back on, you’ll freeze to death, love.”
Archons, why did he have to be selfless? He was already in a much, much, worse state than you, and he was still worried about your wellbeing. You frowned, eyebrows knitting together. “You’re already beating me to it and I won’t allow that.” You said, refusing the cloak. More heat, you needed more heat.
You gripped his shoulders, letting him know you were still here. “I’m going to start some more fires, stay put, okay?” With that, you stood and took out some matches. A few small piles of dead leaves and twigs were already around the cave, they’d long ago burnout, but you would take it. You were thankful you didn’t have to leave the cave, leave Albedo.
As you lit each of the dead piles of nature, Albedo muttered, “You need to leave me here,” He then paused, you heard shifting and rustling. With a quick worried glance back, you saw him trying to stand, your cloak falling to the ground. “Get the-” Another pause. It seemed another headache washed over him. “Honorary Knight...” Forgetting the last pile, you rushed towards him, grabbing his lower arms gently, hoping to steady him.
“Lumine,” You said, “She’s in Liyue, I’m afraid she’ll be there for a while.” You usually would’ve sent a sassy retort back his way, playfully of course. But the seriousness of this situation stopped you. Good choice, Y/n.
He repeated, “Leave me here.” Your head shook. You weren’t leaving without him, you just wouldn’t. You had this awful gut feeling that if you left, he wouldn’t be here when you returned.
“No, I’m here to bring you home.” You explained.
His eyes still weren’t visible. “Home? No, not to Mondstadt. You can’t take me there.”
“I wouldn’t take you anywhere else, other than there,” This wasn’t making sense... Why won’t he look at you? What is he hiding? Does he have an injury on his face? Taking him in your arms, you allowed yourself to hug him, hoping he’d open up and share his concerns. “Please, Albedo, let me see your face.”
His head shook profusely, trying to push you away, though failing. “I’m terribly afraid I can’t show you. It’s already happening- In less than an hour, you’re going to be in danger... You’re already in danger now.”
“Please don’t make me ask you to leave again.” His voice sounded weak, distraught, saddened.
“You don’t have to, just tell me what I can do.”
A long pause. He was fighting with himself, it was obvious to you now. He sounded as if he was begging you to stay, his words were saying otherwise. But why?
“Leave...” He pleaded.
“No,” You refused stubbornly. “I’ll do anything for you, leaving is not one of them.”
He hissed again, this time successfully managing to push you away, shuffling further back into the cave.
“You’re not making any sense, Albedo,” You said softly, following after him. “You’ve kept too many secrets. Not anymore, you can tell me.” Your lover fell to the ground again, this time landing on his back. You gasped, rushing over to him.
As you stood over him, you could see his bangs were pushed off his sweaty forehead, his left arm splaying across his eyes; shielding them from you once again. But underneath it, you could see a faint glow. Red...
His teal, cerulean eyes were no longer present. Now a deep shade of red, alike to that of scarlet quartz, took over. Was this the fault of an experiment gone wrong? Had he been poisoned? A curse even?
Crouching down beside the alchemist, you wondered. “What’s hurting you...” A slender and delicate hand reached out to remove his arm. He fought back with all his strength to keep you from removing his arm, but eventually, you managed to succeed.
Now with his hand at his side, you were left staring at what he’d tried so hard to conceal. You were shocked to be staring at what you were, though not entirely scared. Any ounce of fear was towards the fact that whatever this was, was visibly and prominently hurting him, evident by the odd ways he hissed in pain and coddled his head. You weren’t afraid he’d harm you as he assumed. He never resorted to violence and he wouldn’t at a time like this; you trusted him entirely.
Albedo stayed quiet for some time and if it weren’t for the deep, unsteady breaths, you would have assumed he’d passed out from the fall. It sounded like complete and utter pain and suffering, but he was alive.
It was obvious all of the pain was a result of the glowing coming from his now, mysterious pair of eyes, you realized that now.
“I can see the glow...” You said, he momentarily stopped breathing deeply. Ashamed, disgusted, afraid. “I’m not afraid, I’m more worried about your wellbeing.”
The blonde smiled weakly, eyes glistening with tears. Relief? Sadness? Anger? You weren’t sure, probably all three and much more than he could ever say. “Wrongfully, selfless in this moment.”
“I could say the same about you, love.” You chuckled, remembering minutes ago how badly he’d been trying to save and protect you.
Albedo weakly sat up, carefully scooting to lean his back against the stone wall, staring up at the cavern's ceiling. You followed him, reaching over to grab his hand, head laying on his shoulder. You could feel his hand trembling. Whether it be from fear, the cold, or the fact that something was overcoming him, you weren’t sure...
“I’m going to stay here with you, through whatever this is,” You admitted. “You’re not going through this without me.”
He nodded, eyes lulling shut.
Stay awake for me please, I know it hurts but please.
“I love you.” He whispered, head falling on yours, breaths finally shallowing to a comfortable pace. He was steadying, at least for now.
“I love you, too.”
Of course, you meant what you said. You’d always mean it and you would never retract that statement. But, if you managed to survive this and not die from hypothermia, Albedo’s screams of pain and pleads for you to end him, would haunt you for the rest of your existence.
